Why not join a church and work your way into a position in the church.

Why must you start your own church?

greatgenius: who did i blame again? quote me where i blamed forefathers or amputees..and who said i blame the poor for being poor. how is saying the poor are poor because they chose to be poor a blame?

Did the poor choose to be poor? A lot are poor because of factors that are beyond them... and i not referring to God

Society, class, race/tribe and parental upbringing are major factors that affect poverty.

We should understand that most poor people are not lazy but lack the oppporrunity and privilege to do better for themselves financially.

Evil Brain: MFM people aren't really killing anybody, no matter what they say. You see prayers don't actually work. So other than wasting people's time and creating noise pollution, they are completely harmless.

Let her keep praying like that if she wants. If I were you, I'd be more concerned about how much of her money the pastors have convinced her to hand over.

They are not harmless. Because of their rhetoric on generational curses etc. they are fueling paranoia amongst their flock.

Bieng in the right church is the first process to attaining life, you cant be in the wrong place and expect God to give u ur enternal reward. Besides that we heard about eddy nnogu (for those living in the south east) and we heard about rev. King (for those living in lagos anddd enviirons) and plenty other places of worship where is being found oout to be worshiping satan in the guise of worshiping God, ask yourself, if Jesus was to come, what would have been their fate ?

Secondly besides church doctrines, we should take time to study the bible on our own cos a lot of the pastors are there cos of selfish interests, they extort and tax their members while amassing great wealth for themselves, weve seen it in todays world where they build business empires from proceeds made from the church, lavishing church funds in luxuries. To be honest a lot of them do not even know the truth about God

Churches that condone wrong doing could not be said to be frrom God. Many times we have heard church leaders who are gay, child molesters, who are still left unpunished,, the worse they done is to transfer them to continue their undoings.

The truth is that if we assume that cos we are born into a particular faith as yardstick that we are on the right one, who knows we might actually be wrong, what we should do is to study the bible, doing so without sentiments, honestly praying to God to help u out, u can then make the choice

SELFWORTH: We don't want to be an atheist nation. Thank God that never happen in Nigeria. Imagine if Nigeria does not believe in God. It will be worse than this.

Nigeria's problems have very little to do with religion but plenty to do with wicked and greedy leaders who have no vision except personal agendas .

Of course, as God said.. A nation without a vision will perish.

It doesnt explain anything. Just lots of bible passages asking us to tithe or "give cheerfully".

Even though i think with Catholics you give what you can (i dont think they do tithes), i dont understand why we have to pay anything at all.

1. Why do we need to tithe?

2. How does tithing bless us?

3. What statistics or evidence is there to show that ppl have been blessed by tithing?

4. Why is the tithe used for the church? Why cant God provide for the church?

It depends on certain factors. If she is kissing and getting fi.nger.ed by every dude in sight while at the flub then maybe not.
