Every now and again one reads a post that hits the spot.

They booted our the only power minister that seemed to be making any effort. Privatised the industry allowing cabals and governors to take over. This is quite a funny post. Anyways, I believe fervently in the divine inspiration of sacred scriptures. I believe that the bible can and does help us in our salvations journey. I believe firmly that sacred scriptures is infallible i.e there is no error in sacred scriptures. Despite these beliefs, I also believe that we are not meant to learn our faith from sacred scriptures and I know for a fact that not everything is contained in sacred scriptures. Those who believe only on what is contained in sacred scriptures, are actually setting a limit to the spirit of God.

When Christ left the earth the only thing he promised us was the paraclete i.e the spirit of God who he said would lead us to all truths. Before the writing of any book of the new testament, the Apostles of Christ have been living and worshipping God through his spirit. Though there was in existence the old testament, the apostles did not learn their faith through the old testament. A classic example was the abolition of circumcision. In the old testament, it was necessary for people to get circumcized in order to be part of the chosen people of God. It was part of the convenant between God and his people but this was dropped in the new testament through the inspiration of God's spirit.

The point I am trying to make here is that not everything is written in sacred scriptures because it was not necessary to do that. The spirit is the only thing needed to live out our christian calling. Though it is highly encouraged to read sacred scriptures and apply the principles in our daily lives, we should note that sacred scriptures does not contain every truth. The spirit of God does and what is in sacred scriptures is only a part of the truth the spirit has for us.

What is our purpose of existence? To serve God? To suffer on this earth in some sort of sadistic test.

Our purpose is defined by ourselves, our parents and our society.

okeyxyz: As an engineer(creator), we do not speak in terms of evolution, as it implies that the creature devised it's own nature, rather we speak in terms of implementation. So god simply did not implement the appendix for humans because the functionality was not required.

Good comeback but decidedly wrong. The creature (we) became what it became based on its reaction to its environment. This is known as adaptation. Our appendix is slightly different to the others in terms of size etc.

As an engineer put on your hypothetical cap for a brief moment and imagine this scenario:

Assume the world gets hotter every year. The CO2 levels also rise to a proportion where it is nearly double its current amount. Plant life reduces to a third. This indicates that the global volume of O2 will be a lot less than it is now. Let us assume for arguments sake it becomes half of what it is now. Let us also assume that there is less rainfall and hence land is more arid.

Without technology to help out we can assume that we will have to adapt to this new environment so:

1. We will most likely become thinner and taller so that we consume less water and have a greater surface area for cooling.

2. Larger lungs to take in more air to get the CO2.

3. Diet will differ based on what can be grown in arid land and this will change our digestive system.

Man will now be different from the man of the 21st century.

Imagine a similar scenario happening a multitude of times. With each climatic change having an effect on our physiology.

If you have any knowlege of engineering, you'd understand that models are derived from other models to make different(though related) structures.

I am an engineer. All models are based on a basic model. Other models are modifications of this model. So we agree that. This model was the earlier evolutionary species we come from. Which by the way is a type of ape as are we.

How come in the early foetal (embryonic) stage the foetus has a tail? Most mammal foetus in the early stages look similar. They have that identifiable stage with a small tail. This is the look of the sea creatures that most mamals evolved from.

Look at your body and it's internal system, all systems working perfectly in harmony with one another and each system with it's own specified purpose. The heart always pumping blood, the artery carrying the blood to all parts of the body, the vein carrying blood towards the heart and the cycle continues. Infact all systems in our body proves that God exists, from the digestive,respiratory,reproductive,excretory,transport to the nervous system. Even the design of our brain shows that we were designed by an higher being. The design of the camera is based on the human eyes and yet you think that these eyes could have come by chance. Bottom line is that you and i were created by a supreme being, we couldn't have come by chance.

You are just repeating yourself. Nothing in our body indicates creation. Everything highlights the evolutionary aspect to our existence.

Proof is the fact that we are not unique. If we were created and all came from Adam, why are we so diverse? Why do we have genetic illnesses?
