megawealth01:They are all good policy reforms if we are being honest. Just that the first two impacted the masses too negatively, so the effects of others aren't being felt much. However, most gains will be realized in due time if we stay on course. Oil and gas folks, for instance, will agree that Tinubu's reforms have increased activity in the sector, better pay, and created more jobs across the industry and other sectors. Qualified people are actually keying into the single-digit MREIF affordable mortgages, becoming first-time homeowners within 3-6 months, depending on how fast you complete the due diligence. You can access up to 100m depending on your earnings. Google and know more about it. And this isn't hearsay. |
Does this include the cost of land or renting, as well as construction costs? IDERAWOLE: |
michlins:Yeah, I contacted the installer this morning. He told me to disconnect the outdoor unit and reconnect after 60 secs. I did so, and I'm back on. |
michlins:I installed this airtel ODU at Lekki II on 20th of May and it's not working since yesterday 30th May. It's showing no internet access. I thought the initial sub should last 30 days or am I missing something. I never experienced this while I was using mtn fibre x in PH. It's so unfortunate mtn didn't cross into my estate. |
As rightly pointed out above, the transformer debt is a separate issue. The quit notice is another matter which you can challenge legally. But NOBODY can force your landlord to pay transformer debt to community. At best your case can draw attention to the disco and maybe NERC's intervention. NERC has always warned against residents buying transformers. At best it's done by goodwill or donation. It's your choice to donate or not (not pay). 7 years ago, I moved into an apartment in the middle of a 6 months blackout due to transformer issues. The community have divided the money to be paid based on size of apartment and type of building. My 1bed flat then was 15k but I vehemently refused to pay on the ground that it's not my duty and I recently move in. In the end, 2 big men got separate smaller transformers and connected some of their neighbors, the community raised over half of the amount and one of the big men paid the balance. Meantime everytime PHEDC will deny that they didn't ask anyone to buy transformer. They attempted to repair the old one, it didn't work before the community finally bought theirs. In the end, the area became better and has now been upgraded to band A. More pains though. 😂 But looking back, I would have paid except that the electricity committee weren't looking like serious people then. I later became friends with most of them though. |
The koko of the matter is that, you and your landlord don't have any business with transformer. So what are you going to do in court? 😂 The disco will even deny your community that they didn't ask anyone to contribute. Although we know that's the way to go to resolve transformer issues ASAP else y'all will be in darkness for months or years. It's within landlord's or tenants right to contribute or not but you'll still face the consequences like being disconnected or evicted. Go settle with your landlord and join your co-tenants to meet him halfway. Else, vámonos! |
Coolbite:Until they give you 24/7 electricity with a prepaid meter, your house will be in darkness. LoL When I was living in Band A light area in PH, power rarely went off for more than 20 mins in 24hrs. We can have light for days. But guess what, I have neighbours who won't even put on the outside light for there to be light in the stairway. I travelled and left the house for some friends, they were recharging 5k or 10k, and were wondering why it finished in 3 days. They will be turning off fridge and ac even though it's an inverter AC, and I have changed all the fans to rechargeable. I was spending 60-100k monthly before I left. I recently moved into a new band B area in Lagos, and nepa people just came to find out that the previous tenant bypassed one of the lines in the meter. Now, it's looking like my music to face cos landlord and property manager don't even send me. Even though 24/7 light is cheaper than generators or solar inverters, most Nigerians are not wired to pay for stuff they consider public utility. |
Salary for life as in till the Apst kpiad or I'm not understanding? |
Exactly what they did to my younger bro too... Dropped him off at Obirikwere flyover too. Cos of this, the guy will uninstall every bank app from his phone when he want to go out of town. |
He will cry last if he misses a good girl. From experience, this statement usually focuses on physical aspects. Biko, if she doesn't have gross bad character and she's not from Ifite , stick to your loyal and respectful woman. On the flip side, some guys stick to greedy, disrespectful baddies because they wanna bag "high class" babe (very wrong idea of who a high-class babe is). If that's the case, better trash her and move on with your life. |
One of the disadvantages of marrying 30+ women. Higher risk of not being able to get pregnant, carry to term or difficult birthing. This I've observed even with women who married early and are still birthing into their 30s and 40s. "She is not meant to be beautiful. She is meant to be kind, true and young enough to bear children." That line is from a movie over two and half decades ago and it still holds true today. |
Congrats, then. Cheers! 🥂 ValeignNurt: |
ValeignNurt:It hasn't ended, and things have stabilized. Some people who have undergone this process with us have resumed contracted positions. We will congratulate the main guys who have done BC and medicals in Q1 '26, that's if they don't get it as Xmas gift. Cheers! |
BlackGoldBoy:Exact same thing happened to me at 29 mins count down. I was already half way through the numerical. The exam wasn't difficult for something I didn't even prepare one bit for. |
Neoteny:His clothes gave him out. 😂 Son identified as unaffiliated voter. Mum and dad are registered Republicans. Dad is also a veteran deputy sheriff. So, he had to turn him in. If only Nigeria will release the photos of terrorists sponsors. |

They're bringing police ooo I didn't do anything. I'm not running. They should come and arrest me. Such innocence. The case started as accusation and he wanted to defend himself in police custody without money.🤦🏿♂️ He's probably used as the scapegoat. In Naija you gotta apply common sense. You go fess gbas make elders handle the matter. As a teenager, when I've caused kasala (no stealing-- my pikin stubborn but he no dey steal), I will japa from the whole area. Nobody will meet me at home. I'll only resurface when elders and the community are handling the matter. Thank God for God sha. Never been in police then though I've got to settle them especially on the highway mostly cos of others. The last was my hard earned 100k cos of my younger bro they picked on the road to school and took to their station. They profiled him for his dressing and because he was dragging with them and making videos. 😢 Though I respect policemen, they're not your friend. I've heard my police uncle and his friend joking that "police no good" when recounting their exploits. There no way you'll enter police net and not spend whether or not you involve soldier boys or lawyers. Only avoid any police friend or relative unless they're close to CP. 30k could have solved the problem then but the parents couldn't raise it for the DPO and the heartless man could have written graver allegations on the young man. The real culprits are probably living their lives or facing karma (for those who believe in karma). How much be fowl that year sef. Always apply wisdom. |
If your peers have done any stage, it's best to remove your mind, even if it's interview level. Do you know the resources deployed to conduct the recruitment process? The preliminary stages are even outsourced like in this case to dragnet. Even assigning SMEs to come conduct interviews and panel sessions is considered as loss of man hours. Sometimes you have to provide logistics, hotel, flight and accommodation and also pay them out of station allowance for those not resident in the location for the accessment. Your only hope at interview level is that you might be added to the next round if it's a company that recruits back to back. Else, if they've not gotten back to you at any stage, it's better to lower your expectations. Smaller companies might be more flexible. Icon2024: |
Skill test done. Couldn't finish typing everything in in my head in 45 mins. 😆 |

Is it possible and is there a place dating couples having crisis in their relationships can for counselling in Nigeria? Those dating people who aren't deeply religious, where do you seek help for your relationship apart from nairaland and friends? |
ruggedtimi:Not eveveywhere in the estate. Some part you have to be fully documented while in other sides the host only need to confirm you via call to the security or send you a code. What I notice is that like in my estate, although there's a visitors register, they hardly use it. |
OBI used to sound intelligent but now he's duller then canoe soap. |

akinsmail51:Sensible posts but Seun requesting people to say they're muslim before they can comment in Islam theme posts is a useless idea. Meanwhile Christian and atheists posts are open to all (we're open). Nevertheless, great lessons for marriages. |
