bakynes:Actually the bank is the best place to earn 80k. I don't know of UBA but in some banks, contract staff get overtime, atm duties, and leave bonuses, etc. Then add, illegits like pecks from customers and extra runs in some units, links with BDCs, yahoo boys, etc. Also, the average pay to full time bankers is cool, add allowances and bonuses, profit sharing in some banks, a banker will do very well, easily venture into business or relocate to Canada through dedicated savings. There's always mass exodus in banking that's one main reason they're always recruiting. |
The only thing I'll say is that a smart UBA contract staff earning N80k monthly can make more than that extra, add side businesses, etc he'll even gross over 200k monthly. One had transitioned the contracts staff ranks from messenger or delivery man, services to marketing/sales over the years. And he sabi the thing. Used the so called 70k to train his siblings, gf and himself, currently doing his masters and recently moved to a permanent role in a new bank with pay almost 4x times of where he was. But I can't be that first class guy o. |
rentAcock:PACKAGE! Who will invite you for a test or interview when what they're looking for isn't on your CV. We have some undergraduate and fresh graduates interns with us and their eyes are opening everyday with the way people are moving jobs. Two of my guys have run this fictitious company and job, one posing as the former manager. (I like foreign companies sha). The other one is to EMBELLISH... Blow every little experience at of proportion. Who's going to verify if you actually worked in that company for 3 months or 3 years. Use one of your buddies there as contact. Give instances (real or not) of how you've employed your skills and knowledge now matter how little you think you know. Unless you're not smart at all. Preparing for TESTS and INTERVIEWS: Get ready to discuss one key experience and guide the discussion to top 2 or 3 skills you have and are necessary for the role. They just wanna hear what you can do. The best way to prepare for test and interviews is to connect with an insider who also passed through the same process. Also network with other applicants and previous candidates (both successful and unsuccessful) for the role. True life story (this happens frequently), company Bleep interviewed candidate, Smart, and he said everything HR and MD wanted to hear. MD even said in passing that he feel Smart was prep for the interview but he doesn't mind. Another line that has worked for me, get to know current operations and new opportunities the company is aiming to capture. You only need to demonstrate good knowledge in those areas now matter your skill gap, you might be the closest match candidate. NETWORK. |

In dollar terms, that's way too poor: $155.337 Bln (N190/$) versus $4.74 Bln (N350/$). |
I'm shivering here and some nonsense and ingrates are typing dust. God gave mercy on y'all. Some people are not supposed to be left alone for a minute say less of living alone. One main reason I let a friend lived with me until we grew bigger. I hope his soul find repose on the other side. |
PDP and wailers rant doesn't change the fact that if you lost your certificates in a raid, war, fire, etc you can never get the original back, only an attestation. Abeg where una hang una brains put. I still have my late Dad's school leaving certificate from 1966. He was a school teacher who knew how to keep and arrange things carefully, hence, I can still see most of my primary school report cards, even KG 1 though I'll soon be 30. ![]() Make una go look for una brains, abeg. ![]() |
Kudos to the young fellas. That's how the most beautiful soul I know from the East bought a shirt for me in 200L. Only myself, she and one of my guys of knew about it but the nigga thought it insulting. Lol... Man was damn broke until scholarships began to rush me left and right. Lady is perpetually blessed. |
Nigerians should just drop the use of the world ramifications. White folks get amazed the way we use big big words without understanding. Ramifications loosely means the unintended bad consequences (evil branches) of an action. Same way we wrongly use the word, opportune. I was opportuned to speak during the conference. The conference was an opportune (appropriate, right) time to speak on gender equity. I know we're no custodians of English language o but those two words are annoyingly pervasive and so pedestrian. PureGoldh: |
Death by the Greek. Slight variations of the word (methuó) were used in your cited scriptures and different from the variation used in John 2:10 (drunk used here isn't the same as drunken used in the other passages). Bible still didn't outrightly condemn drinking alcohol. But wisdom is profitable to direct. Peace! TVSA: |
TVSA:Learn English first, the "drunk" there is the past participle of "drink" like when you've drunk water. Good (expensive) wine, bad (cheap) wine, not necessarily the alcohol content. If I'm to even follow your baseless logic, good wine should be strong wine. ![]() @op, So drink offering was actually Shnapps. Learning everyday. Proverbs is not the law. Common sense even tells you that alcoholism is bad. I'm a pentecostal but most of you are on over drive. You know Bible more than catholics and JW. I even believe that the wine used for the passover/Lord's super/communion was even alcoholic. Else, how could some get drunk from the communion wine? |
Someone need to learn more about JVs and PSCs. The PSCs run for offshore assets don't even favour the FG. FG and the IOCs are always working ways to sort out the counterpart funding issues, hence cash calls that the govt also defaulted in before PMB administration is now clearing them under low oil price regime. What's been proposed for the JV set up now is the IJVC (an independent JV company). blujoi: |
Perfect solution to what? You need to understand the dynamics of gas flaring. Although some gas flaring is a necessity, the gas market (export and domestic) has evolved to the extent that the big oil and gas companies are repositioning to become gas companies. So the current realities would have made fulfilling the contracts term counterproductive to any IOC that signed up or guaranteed the P&ID contract. However, I still doubt the capacity of Addax back then given that they're still young comparatively in the Nigerian space and just at the back of a new acquisition. The contract no gel at all. Some people knew something and wanted to cash on it. blujoi: |
Addax, eh... Smh ![]() What was their capacity/asset size as at the time of signing the contract? Remember, they're running a Production Sharing Contract (PSC) with the FG. Within this time the Addax has been acquired by Sinopec. I wonder the type of guaranty they could have given back then. This clearly shows that the project was designed to fail ab initio. I smell SCAM! But incompetence and lack of making a case from the outset of this administration has brought us this deep into poo. I hope that the scam is unraveled. blujoi: |
This is blood money. Innoson vs GTB comes to mind. GEJ failed to deliver on a contract, the entire project was stalled yet this P&ID want to be paid the amount they're supposed to earn for the 20 years period of the contract. A litigation ensued. The immediate past president, as reported, reached an agreement to pay $1b settlement towards the end of the administration but got cold feets because incoming Buhari may termed it as money laundry. (story for the gods). Stubborn Buhari came and saw the claim as preposterous, decided to review it and the case lingered for this long and got this bad. PMB must now be more proactive to stay Nigeria's position to cushion the impact on the economy. |
The truth is local production of agric crops and livestocks are increasing with massive supports from the FG through CBN. Prices have fallen across board too. Rice farming isn't as lucrative as 2 years ago (I have friends who were boasting of 50-100% profits). I was doing 100% ROI with a farmers group but currently we're looking at ~30% p.a which is still cool. Profitabikity in agric is fast moving from farming to processing. Many farms are springing up regardless of the crises last year and the herders-farmers clashes, making prices to fall. With more investment in processing, prices will fall further. I can't pinpoint a product that has increased in price since the last recession. Let's become less lazy and encourage urban Nigerians to invest in agric. Sponsor your peeps in rural Nigeria and encourage the jobless to key in. Nigerian rice are getting to almost premium quality that we can now abandon the foreign ones. You can't build up local capacity without stifling imports. This will engender increased demand for domestic produce, more investments, improved quality, profitability in the short run and price equilibration in the long run. The agric sector really need that push. |
"Soapy" is like the most played songs in most events and clubs lately. I don't just know why. PHC Bolè Festival, how market? |
Mercy is now real pepper dem. |
I'm not an expert in woman matter (in fact na F9 I dey score pass) but this one is 12 yards wife material. No need for long thing, bro. Based on the verity of your story, you can date her for a month, propose to her and use the next 3 months+ to plan for marriage. The one month dating just to ascertain your physical and medical compatibilities. This one is a serious and focused person and she'll love you with her life. I like ladies who know what they want and go for it. |
deking:Yes o... All the lost and stolen voters cards in Delta state, for instance, ended in the hands of PDP... That's what they used to rig the election in connivance with INEC officials and ad-hoc staff. Even some of the ad-hoc staffs were used for the massive thumbprinting for meager 2k. Even APC agents were shocked with how results were changing every minute. Lol a) Finally, I can say that 99% of nairalanders have no brains. Anyway, we're all illiterates at one point or another. b) INEC always have a server over the years. Where do they store voter's info or how can do they accredit same without a server? c) Omokri (holy he goat) only distorted the context and played on your gullibility. d) No proof yet that there are server results. e) PDP are still senselessly dancing naked instead of consolidating to build a formidable opposition. f) APC wicked and I support them to obliterate PDP. Never Again. We go well las las wey PMB don finish with us. ![]() |
More likely, interest reinvested. ![]() ositadima1: |
Rivers guys just dull anyhow... Ibo, Delta and Edo guys are leading them in yahoo yahoo in pitakwa. Their own is just to kidnap and do one chance. And police everywhere... They only know how to collect money from drivers. If not why is there high spate of banditry in East-West Road especially Emuoha axis? Meanwhile police checkpoints along the road are just an eye sight from one another. |
BENEAMATA:You still wonder why people are steep to the rough end of life. In my last visit to Ikoyi prison, one of the awaiting trial imates was advising us that there isn't good at all, and we should try as much as possible to avoid crime. Sometimes last year, one of my classmates from secondary school called me out of the blues to inform me that he's been languishing in Ogwashukwu prison for over a year. According to him, the whole family has abandoned him and he's dying of hunger. When I dug deeper, I found out he's been held as an armed robbery suspect. |
If you visit a Nigerian prison and see the awaiting trial people, you'll pledge to follow the right path. Their situation is the worst. Some has been forgotten and most can't get bail or meet bail conditions. Just imagine a poor chap with same accusation as Naira Marley? Who will stand for him? Even some middle class homes have gone broke just because of trying to secure bail for their sturbon kids. Las las crime no good at all. And for the wrongly accused, only God can comfort them. Always use your head if you're rolling with or dating kids from rich homes especially when they are undisciplined or their parents are arrogant. There's nothing like love, at least it doesn't exist in Nigeria. |
The other person I know who got the NASDRA job before is also through similar manner. Just submit through who you know, they press the button, no test, no interview. Then CLICK, come for documentation. ![]() Congrats... Many of us yearn for such opportunities too. Cool 200k start job with other pecks. Enjoy... |
jidamsel43:I don't like that party, PDP but opposition media houses are allowed in a democracy only that they shouldn't be reckless and they must follow the rules of engagement. DAAR has been playing smart all along but this is far from over. I've not settled down to listen to the documentary they aired. There's no wrong doing if it's on only the substance of the Atiku/PDP petition before the tribunal. More to unfold. Everyone should be wise. |
This Presidential salary is even struggling to stand among entry level pay in some IOCs and NLNG. CEOs earn way more than that. I don't envy PMB. ![]() |
OTayobami:No be lie, dem dey play chess, scrabble and monopoly and dem get servants (from awaiting trial peeps, I guess). Hard core criminals no dey near there to avoid story that touches. |
These governors are not serious. I don't think there's any breach of the constitution here; it's just a backyard policy. Simply, NFIU seeks that the JAAC shouldn't be a transactional account; it should only be used for onward statutory transfers to LGs. No body is dictating how governors spend the state allocation. Buhari is only helping them to stop perpetuating poverty at the local level. PMB, we got your back on this. The national and state assemblies are not ready to stand for the common man.GF can go to seven hells. |
Nairalanders, I don't know if this list is exhaustive but my body is just doing me to post something this Sunday morning. Anyway, here are the people who occupy Naija's social network space, IMO. Instagram: Maddest people in social media, attention seekers and sellers who only have pictures and wait for payment before sourcing for products. Twitter: Ranters and fake news peddlers. Facebook: babies and people who think they have an opinion. WhatsApp: wicked people who keep sharing statuses you've been seeing all week (they won't make heaven). LinkedIn: Braggadocious people and monitoring spirits. Nairaland: People who are more intelligent than you, jesters, complete idiats and spammers. Snapchat: I don't know what people do there. You can help complete the list. Have a fun filled Sunday. |
You see, nairalanders, some people can never be depressed in life. Niggy accepted be made a mistake marrying a biatch but he have to move on the hard way. He's my guy. That's why it's difficult for me to give myself into a relationship. Wetin I gain if after I don form hard man finish one girl go cum use me play kalo kalo? |
GOT is GOT... The plots twist and all... Most of us thought Arya will end Cersi not knowing that she'll make our hearts pant as we watch the best GOT one-on-one combat ever. Then the Lanister brothers moment. Suya suya everywhere in KL. We knew Dany would go mad but not this overboard. I think it's the best episode of the season so far. |
