Honestly, I don't expect you to get it. There are lots of juicy positions she and her advocates could push but not the membership of the board of ICPC.

I believe NNPC is recruiting, why not push her into such organization. Why choose to embarrass ICPC board with this member that has nothing to offer. You can not dispute the fact that she is underqualified for that job.
Maybe you should tell us the qualification/experience required by the ICPC act for a 21 year old potential board member.
I'm telling you that just within a year her membership of the board will enable her to get any certification and international exposure she needs and that's like an open door. She already has the platform to be in government for so long if power stays the same or if she'll be wise enough to flow with the powers that be.

Quit wailing already. We have millions of youths thousands with supposedly better qualification but only one person can get it. Everyone has her own opportunity. So, I'll only count her lucky and move on with my life.

I don weak for this matter, abeg.

Ibori is still the best governor that my state has ever seen.
His projects were durable and also genuine unlike the madness we have today.

Ibori is better than Okowa and Uduaghan combined.
Ibori tried in terms of employment and prompt payment of civil servants but where are the durable projects, abeg? Don't tell me he tared the roads in his village and give them street lights.
No be only durable... Na'im even the state capital cast until bros Udu. Even Oko somebody is struggling to get attention with projects. Udu made the state to have significant recognition even though Oko is taking all the glory now by putting finishing touches to the major projects. He's grossly shambolic in other areas.

Stilk Ibori > Udu > Oko

But Las las pdp na scam for delta state.

For me, it is an issue of the constitution. Her appointment is obviously in compliance with the constitution but I don't see a significant value she will add to the management of ICPC given her curriculum vitae and experience. I am so sure she will just be an observer and spectator at the board meetings.

In a sane organization, she will still be a graduate or management trainee learning to understand and understudy how things are done at management level but we definitely have a flawed constitution.
After one year she would have learned and gain so much experience. While you're still lamenting her life will just be going on an upward spiral.

I wonder how many meetings someone will attend before she'll come to grasp with how things are run.

I bet you'll be happy if you get a juicy position where you'll technically be spoonfeed from start.

There's no wisdom in this wailing. grin

Maybe they're using the money to hold their side. My consolation is the monthly pension is more than 2x of my previous job.

EducationRe: Scholarship Application And The 2.1 Criterion by athorello(m): 6:18pm On May 03, 2019
This one is talking about 2.2.
Students should start sitting up from secondary school cos some scholarships and jobs especially with blue chip companies now demand for SSCE in one sitting, 5 distinctions, etc. Even top colleges and universities abroad require you to have a GPA of at least 70% to be considered for postgraduate studies. I did a masters program here in Nigeria that won't accept CGPA below 4.0
Higher level education should only be for the brightest, highly motivated and dedicated students.
Education for all should be skills (vocational and technical) education.
If you don't do something drastic or have very helpful people around graduation with a 2.2 in modern day Nigeria is graduating into depression or crime. God safe us.
Everyone is just so obsessed with university education, even though we're not serious with book work, hence the annual JAMB craze. And most graduate into yahoo yahoo.

We should start getting our focus right in this country. Motivate those who are highly geared towards education, the rest should embrace vocations and/or business after secondary school not finishing school and we're talking about N-Power, learning tailoring, etc. That's where the education should have started from.

Let's fight the root cause of corruption, yahoo and other crimes: lack of appropriate education and get rich quick syndrome.
PhonesRe: How I Won My Battle Against Yahoo Boys And Lessons I Learnt From It. by athorello(m): 9:32pm On May 01, 2019
Disclaimer: This isn't an endorsement but speaking of a lesser evil, IMO.

Na so one UNIPORT dude play my guy local auto job scam.

Yahoo is fast becoming a norm since every body is talking about it. Even 5 year olds know about burgers.

Yahoo boys hustle till they burst, die, go to jail... They don't trouble our local communities as most have moved to urban centers Lagos, PH, Asaba, Abuja, or go international, Ghana, Malay, Turkey, India, UAE, Niger Republic, etc. They only come home to show off, marry, oppress with money, buy/develop properties, pay dues to Nigeria police, political sponsors, etc. Burgers are now going into entertainment, fashion, real estate, car dealership and setting up businesses for their babes and families. Different cult groups get more along now, lesser violent crimes, kidnapping and armed robbery.

If only Rivers youths can embrace the burging ministry and learn from their delta and ibo friends, there'll be less violence in the state.
But the ministry isn't for the intellectually lazy and impatient. You go first go pick beans for HK, cook for them, clean and pay your full dues. And intending burgers do repeat classes. (ask those who have hustled to return to GH or Malay after several failed trials) Lol.

The arms way is the easiest way out.

If only our polical class will turn a new leaf and show the way of real positive change to the rest of the populace.

Our skills as a nation be like:
Bad leadership
Corruption
Internet fraud
Killing
Militancy
Terrorism
Armed robbery
Kidnapping

And the the driver of all, poverty or poverty mentality.

CrimeRe: Lady Shot Dead While Returning From Work In Rivers State (Photos) by athorello(m): 2:57pm On Apr 28, 2019
Some times you feel like endorsing yahoo yahoo cos some localities where majority of cultists have embraced it are witnessing reduced insecurity, lower spate of armed robbery and kidnapping.

I just got the full thrilling gist of horror that the boys unleashed on my PH neighbourhood while I was away for 8 months in Lag. To the extent that SARs had to stand in my street from morning till evening daily, killed up to 7 boys last year, killed 2 since I returned, the rest have fled the area. Bakasi boys are now our security since last Nov.

Rivers youth are just too lazy cos its lazy people who easily carry arms. They are too lazy or impatient to go pick beans in HKs for few months while learning all the formats.

As for me, I prefer Internet burgers to these wanton killers in Rivers state. My hometown has become more peaceful with boys relocating to join HKs in GH, Malay, Dubai, India, etc and even some Nigerian cities like PH, Asaba, Benin, Lagos (Even if we no go hear word during festive period).
They're now returning home to develop the area.
Boys are now adding other trades: fashion, real estate, entertainment, car dealers (check your TLs) and their wedding invites are increasing daily. As if the thing don begin norm.

So yahoo is a lesser evil.

PropertiesRe: Cost Of Rent Around Rivers - Co-tenant by athorello(m): 12:39pm On Apr 14, 2019
PH unlike Lagos, won't shave your pubic hair cos of rent. Agency fee isn't more than 10% (Lagos 20% without "abeg"wink, landlords will hardly demand for more than a year's rent and cost of tfare is low compared with Lagos.

In Lagos (mainland especially), your first time rent budget will be:

Total payments = 1yr rent + extra 50% (agency, agreement, caution) + 6months (or 1yr) rent.

Glorified suffering.
FamilyRe: My 18-Year-Old Maid And Her Boyfriends by athorello(m): 10:04am On Apr 06, 2019
Your maid like one of my sisters is just a bad pikin... They act like they're been controlled by a bad (evil) force (spirit). I don't have problem with stubborn children but evil controlled without conscience ones. They don't take advice, threats and examples of their bad examples. You'll just want to beat them to your full but that doesn't help too. My sister had come face to face with death yet hardly has she changed. At least her way of life is yet cost you or make you answer to questions you know nothing about.

My advice:
She doesn't deserve your help again unless you can genuinely love her like your own baby. She's also very ripe for plucking. So before she becomes a full blown liability, send her back to her people. Or you can decide to test run it for a while; send her home and cut her off meantime. If there's no noticeable change and remorse, make it permanent.

Get another 11-13 year old that you can manage and shower with same love.

Nevertheless, my advice is useless if you feel even with her misdemeanor, she's still very helpful and useful to you. To that end, carry her as your cross (like your own child).

Now, was there any mention by Kadira, Atiku or Obi that Atiku was forgiven by Obj? Why not stay of the discuss from the session and avoid bringing in extraneous ideas into the town hall meeting.

And please learn not to be uncouth and discuss intelligently next time. Not everyone here is an agbero.
If you can't show me where "the Referee" admitted he's wrong, you're still low on reasoning, and I'll just pass.

Did anybody there whether Atiku or Obi talk about Obj forgiving Atiku? You now see your skewed argument dancing embarrassingly unclad before you.
Atiku and Obi maintained that like the referee before consulting the VAR, Obj had a wrong opinion or perception about Atiku, but with time and things in perspective (only heavens know what informed the change), Obj disabused his mind of previous prejudices held against Atiku.
You lack reasoning capacity and vision like your principals....

When did Obj admit that his opinions and perceptions were wrong. Instead, by his last release, his adamant that "all" his observations were true but the "guy man" has apologized. Smh

Your thinking cap can't help you to move the analogy from the context of of The Candidates to what they're selling nor understand that the Election is #APC's to Lose. embarassed shocked

Yes I can. You lots have a penchant for quoting people out of context. The analogy made by Obi was as to forming and maintaining opinions.

For me no better logic. A former employer holds an opinion of one, with things in proper perspective, he purges himself of that opinion. Obi simply likened that to a referee holding an opinion and with clearer view of events, discountenance such wrong opinion.

You have a better way to go around that question, let's heat you?
But putting Obi's analogy in reality, the Referee, after consulting #VAR, says his observations and verdict stays, let's sacrifice reason on the alter of Forgiveness.

Meanwhile, I might forgive but never forget and give you the opportunity to hurt me again.

All these farmers association people, where are they that we don't get to see them?
I want to become a member of that association.
At least I have upto 2 hectares of rice farm, 7 hectares of beans farm and just 3 plots of sorghum farm. I think I'm qualified to be a member.

PS.
Nigeria will continue to import all what they consume until the government decides to make farming attractive. Farming in Nigeria is hard labour (I know what we're going through).

Even after the hard labour, somebody will just price your goods as if he's doing you a favour buying it.

The agro industries that are supposed to be in the north to buy from farmers and process it are all in the south.
Who wants to suffer?

If the government of this country will invest in agriculture, I will not even hunt for any white collar job cos I know how much I'll get from my farm. But what do we have today? Absolutely nothing! Let them keep importing every food they need till the end of time. Useless country.
Farmer, don't give up. True cost of inputs has risen, farmers had lots of challenges this year too especially because of floods.

We're expecting scarcity and price hikes next year. So if you farm successfully this year, cheer up especially if you can store.

Investing in farming is the highest paying venture now, ceteris peribus.
