Eko means "camp" in Bini language and the fact that the name Eko is adopted till this date means that the history is accurate. There is no direct yoruba meaning for the word for Eko in the yoruba dialect. Not all parts of Earth as at today is inhabited by humans. The land called Eko was uninhabited as at that time by humans.
