When people who are paid to protect life become the ones who kill people, even suspects, then what hope is there?

There are internal bickering in ever family, religious or not. Even in the Islamic fate, Shia and Sunni Muslims dont see eye to eye.

As for Buhari, Igbos not liking Buhari is a long time thing and date way back in 1966 when Buhari and other young Northern officers paricipated in a counter coup that slaughtered Igbos. His participation in the civil war, the executions during his tenure as miliitary head of state and his heavehanded method of dealing with IPOB. Buhari has been involved in killing Igbos since 1966 and it will never stop.

Yes Ijaws ad other tribes are to vote in a referendum because nobody should be forced into Biafra. Those who are happy to continue with Nigeria should vote accordingly while those who want to leave should vote that way

Most likely what will happen is that most Igbos are going turn against the Nigerian nation while the die hard Biafran activist will take up arms. IPOB has been largely non violent. If Kanu is killed, no IPOBmember is going to believe in non violence any more. Many are likely to go underground only to resurface when they have acquired weapons and thats when the Nigerian Army will finally see that it was much better to be diplomatic with IPOB before they took up arms than after.

I think it is important to state that the Biafran agitators want a referendum. In that referendum, the only choice there will be to choose remaining part of Nigeria or seeking independence as Biafra. If Cross River chooses to remain part of Nigeria, it will continue with the rest as Nigeria.

If CrossRiver chooses to go with Biafra, it will be part of Biafra and if it wishes to leave Biafra in the future, a referendum can be held for it.

But if CrossRiver wants its immidiate independence, they have to start agitating for it because nobody will allow CrossRiver to use the Biafran agitation as its own independence movement

That is what happens in a dictatorial nation where the rule of law is non existent

Well, he can still 'reconvert' if Biafra comes.

Biafra is tolerant of all religions, what Biafra is not tolerant about is Islamic fundamentalists. If Asari Dokubo or Ijaws dont believe in Biafra and are using it as a smokescreen for some other agenda, when referendum comes, they should vote to continue with Nigeria.

Biafra is only for those who are tired of Nigeria.

I think you are mistaken the role of Nnamdi Kanu. Let me use the example Nnamdi Azikiwe.

Zik was a man who went abroad and studied. He returned to Africa and opened a Newspaper business in Ghana with which he used to attack the colonial government of Nigeria and insisted that indigenous Nigerians should be independent and running their own country. Zik later moved to Nigeria in the late 30's and carried on his fight for independence along with others and on the 1st of October 1960, Nigeria got independence. Nigeria still celebrates independence day.

The story of Zik and Kanu is not that different. Like Zik, kanu sent to study abroad and later opened a radio station from which he attacked the Nigerian government insisting that indigenous Igbos and the minorities who are comfortable with Igbos should be independent. Kanu later later returned to Nigeria to fight for what he believes in.

The job of Zik and Kanu is not to tell the people how the future will be or paint a rosy picture. Their job was to bring independence. Their selling point is self determination, independence and freedom. When you are free and in control of your destiny, you go and find a Rosy future.

Kanu's job is not to provide anyone with a vision of Biafra, Kanu's own vision is that of independence and freedom.

As an Igbo man, my duty is to look at Nigeria and ask myself if we Igbos can do better on our own or as a part of Nigeria. The 57 year old disasterous history of Nigeria convinces me that it is time for Igbos to be independent and manage our affairs. I believe we shall do much better outside Nigeria on our own. Nigeria for me is a complete disaster of a nation heading nowhere so it is time to try something else.

Kanu is only a freedom fighter, his job is only to get a referendum for Biafra. When the referendum comes, it is for us to choose which way we want to go. If we choose Biafra, we go with it and try to make it work.

Kanu's job ends with referendum, we then choose our future.

He is, but he is smart enough to realise that it is not a fight he can win unless he has the support of at least one of the majorities.

The Bravado of the Nigerian Military only shows when they are up against an unarmed group such as IPOB. Thats the only time they remember where the trigger of their gun is.


Put the Nigerian military against an armed group like Boko haram or Niger Delts militants and the bravado diappears and gives wsy to trepidation.

I have no doubt in my nind that the Nigerian Military cannot defend Nigeria from a well motivated and professional Armed force of another country because a highly undisciplned Nigerian Army that does not respect the rule of law in a democracy is most likely to be of no use to anyone.

To use live ammunition on unarmed civilians is the height of cowardice and such a person is not likely to use the same live anmunition so easy when he comes against someone as armed as him

Migrating to their zone will not give them Biafra, they already did that in 1967 and it did nit work.

Remarkably, you are saying that IPOB are bad while eccouraging the Nigerian armed forces to commit extrer-judicial murder of unarmed like they are licenced to kill. It shows you as a hypocrite.

The IPOB you are talking about has no weapons, has no record of being violent and has never touched or killed anyone.

Did you ask why the people pelted the amoured truck? You think that if it was you that your loved one got shot, you wouldnt pelt the truck? The video of the young man with a bullet in his leg, shot by the Army has gone viral since yesterday. Why will people not pelt the Army when the Army is acting like a gang of trigger happy thugs?


Kanu is in his house sleeping, if any of the uniformed forces has any business with him, they can go and knock on the gate and request his attention.

The BSS you are talking about is an unarmed security group same as any vigilante group you can find in any part of the country. Why would an unarmed group face an armed group such as the Army?

Kanu and IPOB have the right to agitate about anything, be or Biafra or otherwise. Chapter 4 of the Nigerian contitution gives them tharmt right as long as the are non violent about it. Where has IPOB been violent? Have they killed anybody? Are they armed? It is even IPOB that have been killed in the hundreds.

You Nigerians should stop celebrating your armed forces acting like deranged armed thugs, it is nothing to proud about.

Their first aid for the injured was nothing to write home about, I hope those shot did not bleed to death.

Their intelligence gathering was show to be zero, their reaction showed they are ill prepared to contain the Nigerian Army. If this is how they intend to build up, then they will suffer more casualties than expected.

Yoy have the wrong notion abiut BSS is wrong. They are not a militant group, the dont carry arms and they were not created to face the Nigerian Army. They were created for security purposes. They can been seen guarding Kanu and maintaining order at IPOB rallies.

No Sir. There's no things as that. It's been a topic of discuss over time. Go check check the archives of the state and any information from the government concerning it's people. There's no trace of Igbos. If you claim 1 million igbo people in Benue, it would be recognized, the least tribe we have in Benue and it's recognized as indigenous are not up to a million, at most, half of them. In Benue South Zone as it is claimed, two just two much Tribes which together they make half the population of the whole state are the Idomas and Igede. If you see any igbo person in Benue then the are migrants whose root can still be traced back to the various places you mentioned say Ebonyi state. Go search for documents and history about the benue people, read very well. No igbo is from Benue amd Ebonyi was never Maliciously carved to make up Benue South. I stand to be corrected with better and solid Facts.

So you think there are no indigenous Igbos in Benue, many you can tell us the tribe that makes up Obi Local Government? What about Okpoku Local Government? Tell us the tribe in these two local govts. I dont even want to mention Oju local govt

Its quite unfortunate that nobody ever bothered to remind Buhari that we are now in a democracy. That the Nigerian Army has no business patroling a non combat area, that to arrest a person a warrant of arrest is needed, that Nnamdi Kanu is allowed to peacefully agitate for Biafra under chapter 4 of the Nigerian constitutiion and that shooting unarmed people is a serious offense.


Buhari's supporters want him to be a dictator. Unfortunately, dictators never do well in office and often leave the country worse than they found it for try as they might, no dictator can carry the people along.
