Tight security around Nnamdi Kanu. BSS doing a good job. |
ocelot2006:Learn to read. I said they dont exist in Nigerian law. The constitution of Nigeria does not recognise anything like SS, SE or whatever. That is why SE and SS are just mere geographical expressions |
Philip Effiong was never abandoned. Here are some facts people may not know. Philip Effiong was the vice president and the last president of Biafra. After the war, Philip Effiong lived for a while in Enugu and was well accomodated by Igbos. In 2012, the government of Obasunjo granted official pardon to all ex Nigerian Soldiers who fought for Biafra such as Philip Effiong. Over 1.5 Billion Naira was released to pay their gratuity and pension. When Philip Effiong died in 2013, a huge contigent of MASSOB members went to his village of ibiono ibom to give him a befitting burial. So anyone who says that Philip Effiong was abandoned is just talking nonsense. |
What do u mean by the phrase "so called south southSo called because the term 'South South' is just a geographical expression. It does not exist in Nigerian law. |
nengibo:States are just the creation of military governments. What matters are tribes |
GavelSlam:Then stick to your ethnic group let other ethnic groups speak for themselves, did they ask you to fight for them? |
Proudlyngwa:Well what would rather use in determining tribe? States? Would that mean that everyone in Rivers state is Ijaw? Or maybe the Idomas of Enugu state are Igbo? Are Ikwerres Igbo when one Ikwerre man and former Governor such as Amechi says he is Igbo but another such as Odili says he is Ikwerre? |
GavelSlam:Then leave SS out if your Nigerian dream. Igbo is in the constitution, SS is not. |
peteregwu:If you are dreaming of restructuring, better wake up. The North will never allow any country they are part of. They dont want to hear anything about restructuring. So how will you get restructuring? If we all remember what the Arewa youth said when they issued quit notice, they urged the federal government to give Igbos a referendum. Has anyone ever heard Arewa youths say anything about restructuring? They support the division of Nigeria rather restructuring. So the choice for everyone is either agitate for your independence after which you can restructure how you like, or remain part of Nigeria and forget restructuring. Which do you think Kanu should choose? |
id4sho:What about Igbos indigenous to your so called South-South states? What happens to Asaba people, Ibusa people, Okpanam, Oshimili and all the Igbo elements of Delta state? What about the Igbos of Rivers? Obigbo, Asa, Ndoki, Etche and the rest? What will you say to Minister of Transport and former Governor of Rivers, Chibuike Amaechi, an Ikwerre man who recently said "nobody should deny me my Igbo heritage" What about the Benue Igbos? Igbos will be the majority hence the ruling class. An IJAW,EFIK etc won't be belittled by an Igbo man.People like Nnamdi Kanu and Asari Dokubo are proposing that Biafra becomes a confederation which I believe it should be. Igbos get their Region, Ijaw/Ogoni gets its own Region, Efik/Ibibio get their own Region. Every Region controls 100% of its resources and pays an agreed percentage to the center, nobody will be able to marginalise anybody. It wont even matter who the ruling class are. Some of there kins men have made the art of fraud, selfishness, deceit, greed popular. When General Gowon created new states for the southern states,it was welcomed wholeheartedly. That was why the SS where not in support of BIAFRA then and even now. Because of marginalization the experienced in the defunct eastern regionGowon created Rivers state to cause hate between brothers as well as steal the Oil wealth of the people. In the old Eastern Region, the provinces were getting 50% of whatever came out of their land. In Rivers state, they are getting 13%. So who lost at the end of the day? |
Hope for Nigeria? When we Igbos leave Nigeria, the rest of you Nigerians can carry on hoping. |
chidyjakes:ONE NIGERIA has been a disaster. Its time for Igbos to try something else. If Gambia of just 2 million people can survive as an independent country then I dont see what a 45 million strong Igbo nation is still doing in Nigeria fighting with Yoruba and Hausa over who gets what. Time to be independent |
In the video below, Kanu made an incredible speech today in Ohawfia. Kanu spoke in Igbo, so if you dont speak the language, you wont understand what he said. Kanu lambasted the Arewa youths and their quit notice saying that it was hypocritical that people like that could not be arrested but his co-accused, Nwawuisi, Bright Chimezie, Chidiebere Onwudiwe, Ben Madubogu were in jail for doing nothing. He told the crowd that Nigeria is owned by Hausa-Fulani and anyone who professed to be a Nigerian had condemned themselves to slavery. He went on to say that nothing connects Biafrans and Hausa Fulani stating that it was the accident of colonialism that put Igbos in one country with Hausa-Fulani. Kanu used the recent NNPC appointments, as an example, where most of the appointments were notherners while few were from the minorities while none were Igbos. Kanu asked the crowd how this is possible when there was no Oil in the North? He praised the Ohawfia people for their turn out and their rich cultural history. Kanu ended the speech with a prayer and the crowd fell silent to which they shouted ISEEEEEEE!!! Remarkably, the next man to speak was an Igede man who professed to be a Biafran Ohawfia war dancers then performed for the crowd https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KArsRcmL78Y |
We all know that tribe of "Buhari defenders" that will disappear from this thread but will reappear on any Nnamdi Kanu thread to talk about the beauty of ONE NIGERIA |
Laughable Why would anybody take a Biaran flag and muffler to go and rob? Its obvious that their homes were searched and they found those items. Someone with a Bafran flag can be a theif same as someone with a Nigerian flag The question is, if they had found a Nigerian flag and muffler, would they have been quick to display it same as they did with this Biaftan one? Lol we all know the answer to that, Nigerians are hypocrites |
drefe2real:How many of them did you consult before including them in South/South? Why do they think the South South people don't want their own country?Because nobody is agitating for that. When people want their own country, they take to the streets, wave their flags and colours and let the world know they want freedom. Only Biafrans are doing this. Between sharing of the resources between the six Niger Delta states and sharing between the 11 proposed Biafra states, which is the better option for the Niger Delta people?Well since nobody is saying anything about any Niger Delta country, the question should be between sharing revenue between the 11 proposed states and the 36 states of Nigeria plus Abuja, which one is better? Anyone with half brain will know the better choice. That's the choice the Niger Delta will take when the time come. Niger Delta don't have any business with Biafra. We will be far better off on our own.Well if you guys are better off on your own, start doing something about or shut up and remain part of Nigeria forever. |
Fake News everywhere. The leader isnt Kingsly madu but Uche Madu That would have told anyone who read the story that it is fake |
The person who came up with this thread to criminalise IPOB should be given a lenghty ban for misinformation. Interrogation revealed that the bag which contains cloths, shoes and house equipment was robbed by them from an unknown person.Even if the IPOB items belong to them, if they were caught with Tommyhillfiger mufflers, would that mean the Tommyhillfiger agents What if they had been caught with the Nigerian flag? Would the Nigerian flag have been displayed? |
adexway:The agitators are not going to stop. They have lost all faith and confidence in Nigeria. So if Nigeria, the national assembly, the political class do not agree to a referendum, then their will be no peace. Nigeria will then have to choose to keep shooting agitators down, arresting them, cracking down on them like a dictatorship and proving ti the world that it is a failed state. In any situation where there is no peace, there is likely to be no progress either |
Who ever wrote this has a few loose screws on his head. Biafra isnt secession? It is about finding good governance and equity in Nigeria? Some people dont seem to understand thst Nigeria is not capable of providing neither good governance or equity. The people are just too divided for that to be possible. Trying to get the Yoruba/Igbo/Hausa-Fulani people to unite is like trying mix water, Oil and gel. You can mix all you want but leave it for the mixture for a second a second it will separate into its contituent parts. We have different value systems, different outlook on life, different norms and different perceptions. The only tning that brings us together is football and that is not enough to make a nation. We have tried for 57 years, killed each other in the millions in a civil war and yet, we are more divided than ever. A time comes when people have to admit that a partnership isnt working and is only detrimental to everyone. Just because Lugard brought us all together doesnt mean that our unity was destined to work. It has never worked. Nigeria is but a mere 1914 colonial arrangement. So it is only right for those who have weighed the situation and come to the conclusion that they can do better on their own, should be granted independence. Biafra is about secession and a fresh start. |
Igyeseh:Not all of Benue, just the lower Benue especially the Benue Igbos or the Umueze-Okoha people |
adexway:Restructuring is also not in the 1999 constitution, so why do you think some people clamour for it? The constitution is not greater than the people, if the government and the political class of Nigeria decide that a referendum should be held, it will be. |
GrandGarcon:Forget about that, the North would rather go to war than agree to restructuring. |
laudate:Cant you read? The ex Nigerian soldiers/ Biafran soldiers were pardoned and paid their gratuity and pension in 2012. The entitlements were there, Ojumwu went and collected his own. If Effiong didnt go to collect his own, it means he wasnt interested. But it all goes to show that this thread is a big lie as we now know that Effiong and others were pardoned and their entitlements made available which is what they claim never happend. |
laudate:Cure your ignorance with the below https://www.vanguardngr.com/2012/03/ojukwu-biafra-soldiers-get-n1-5bn-pension-benefits/ |
This is a lie. Obasunjo restored the gratuity snd pension of all the former Nigerian officers who fought on the Biafran side, every one of them. However, their gratuity was based on their original ranks in Nigeria, not Biafra. Ojukwu was a General in Biafra but he was pensioned as a Lt Col because that is the rank he held in Nigeria before Biafra was declared. It is not also true that Igbos forgot General Effiong. When General Effiong died, several bus loads of MASSOB members went to his village to give him one of greatest burias Ibiono people had ever seen. |
ezenwajosh:Very well put. This 1914 British colonial arrangement known as Nigeria is coming to an end. |
No, what caused the war was the desire of the Northern oligarchy to control Nigeria. Hate speech is hate speech, mere words. If people can kill each other over mere words, they shouldnt be together in one country. |
GameGod:Thats much better than a Nigeria, wether rich or poor, nobody agitating for. |
Ohamadike! |
Arresting a person for putting a Biafran flag in front of a tricycle? How is it against the law to fly a Biafran flag? |

Where exactly in my first or last post did I blame or demonize the entire Igbo race? What was the lie inside any of my comments? Go back and read what I wrote with an open mind if you can, and stop projecting your hate-filled tendencies into my remarks.
