Jman06: Anybody who has a doctorate degree, be it academic, professional or honorary has the right to bear the title. With the exception of the honorary doctorate, acquiring a doctorate whether academic or professional is not easy at all. I'll like to make a case for the professional doctorate degree (e,g Pharm.D, MD or OD). Obtaining those degrees requires very rigorous training and I can state without mincing words that anybody who successfully obtains those degrees is very much qualified "to teach" in those fields.
Many so called PhD holders can't match the professional doctorate degree holders. This is not true. many honorary doctorate holders cannot think logically. in fact, from the way they talk and think, I just know that this one was "dashed" the degree. I so much improved in critical and logical thinking while pursuing my PhD. it literally became an obsession. every thought, speech, down to religious messages were subjected to critical evaluation and it so much changed my life. |

I am no fan of Toyota cars but my family has used many models of Toyota spanning a period of about 40years. My elder bro broke out and bought a Hyundae santa feh SUV. car broke down on the way while returning to base after buying the car and spent about year in mechanic shops because they couldnt diagnose if its the brain box or the fuel pump even though money was on ground to finance repairs. Finally converted the brain box to Toyota at mechanic village, Apo- Abuja. car is alright now except for minor faults here and there. He learnt from other owners that the best way to enjoy all these Korean cars is buy, brand new, use while still under warranty and sell off as soon as warranty elapse. |

fiizznation: Look at this one coming with some lame, ridiculous backups. Some nigerians are not intelligent!! So that's how a complete thesis looks like to you or what? That nonsense you put up there can be forged by anybody. Even the institution can be in complicity to the forgery.
I have seen many PhD thesis and none of them have abstract before dissertation. This is the usual Nigeria fraud!!!
No single copy of dissertation and you claimed you are a PhD holder? What is so secretive about Jonathan's thesis if he'd had a PhD?
My goodness!!! Nigerians are not daft. I can infer from your writing that you do not understand how the university system runs: In the academic, an abstract comes ONLY after a PhD has been completed. Every university compiles abstracts of all postgraduate students in all departments and publish it at the end of each academic year. It is not possible for a fraud of this nature to be committed post-datedly. Will the school include Jonathan's abstract in another edition after making it public and viral by distributing to post graduate students of the next academic session? Before your abstract fall in, you must not have only defended your research work: you must also have passed through every stage necessary for your certificate to be issued to you- university PG Sch must have approved your work, University Senate must have sat on it, etc. and by the way, no school gives out the names of committee members of a postgraduate board to outsiders in its official capacity as the intention of those seeking such information is not known. such information is subject to abuse |

Hadone: Igbos and other Nigerians are our brothers and sisters. We live cordially with them and ask any southerner living in the north he will attest how we harmoniously live together and respect one another. We did northern declaration to deliberately awaken them and even other Nigerians that the north can survive with or without anybody. We of course prefer to live as a nation since it's what's destined by God, but we'll not tolerate any threats any longer from anybody. Let me repeat myself again that the northern declaration is just a wake-up call to awaken most especially the igbos to come back to their senses and either stay or leave. Simple!! And we can say that "kwalliya ta biya kudin sabulu" a Hausa proverb which mean to say aim has been achieved. Because shortly after the declaration, the igbos starts dabbling saying this and that not intending to depart northern territories. And look at our leaders, Emirs and Governors went against it even though it's known to them that the declaration is just a mere saying not fully intentional. But look at how the IPOBs publicly misbehave and non of their leaders could talk to them. Anyway I'm ready to take all your abuses, but I love you as Nigerians. Thank you funny peeps. the north can survive on its own? survive on what? survive on d teeming almajiri youths begging their way through life? may sense fall on u. i am from d middle belt |

ASUU is a body that is expected to comprise of intellects from every section of the country. It is sad and highly disappointing to see ASUU make demands which they are aware that the present Government is practically financially crippled to meet.
I expected ASUU to have pressured the previous Government of Mr Clueless to find a way of settling the enormous debt.
It's no longer news that CRUDE OIL(main source of income for the country) price have dwindled and buyers are not even forthcoming. let me take it point by point ASUU comprises of intellectuals, that s true ASUU knows that the government can meet this demand, after all, some members of ASUU are consultants to the federal government on financial issues. the price of crude oil is dwindling, but our senators and house of rep members are busy ordering cars in billions for oversight functions (cars which the already have). |

[font=Lucida Sans Unicode] MrHistorian: I'm saddened at this ugly development of ASUU's strike action.
In as much as the ASUU is trying to justify its stand on the strike by emphasizing on the meagre funding of education in Nigeria.I'd enjoin them to exhibit an enviable charismatic action by calling off this strike amidst the negotiations with FG.
As for FG,I'm bittered at their late reaction. This Strike action has been looming for Months,Why was the VP and the Ministry of Education docile??..Why were they not proactive to engage them before it gets full-blown??
For Once...I'm disappointed in Acting President Osinbajo. [ my chairman, y u dey contradict urself nau? u want ASUU to call of its strike as a matter of 'enviable charismatic action' amidst negotiation with FG. but u r disappointer that FG did not take proactive action on the looming strike before it really got blown, full scale. ASUU went on strike becos FG pays only lip-service in honouring her side of d bargain. if ASUU calls of its strike because of 'enviable charismatic action' as u would caption it, FG will sit down and do nothing abt it. ASUU knows that the FG does not have the political will to honour its agreements wit ASUU. afterall, most of the wards of our political appointees are either schooling n private universities or doing their degrees abroad |

When you see a Man takes out 100k in a village where people are dying of Starvation, You Rush to Stop the man and also have his Head checked and also find out where he got the money from.
