MikeZA: Yes, grin grin grin grin grin. It is now mandatory for all SANDF communication systems to be compatible with MIL-STD Link-ZA.
Show us what SANDF has achieved with it's data-link.

Nigerian navy/air force data-link has been relaying pirate ships data from platform to platform online-real time 24 hours a day all over the gulf of Guinea including your Angolan SADC area of influence leading to the arrest of many pirate ships in international waters .

South African military data-link has surely broken down due to maintenance problems and lack of funds....even soldiers are being retrenched today.

#SANDF Data-Link Is Not Operational tongue tongue

MikeZA: Nope,Israeli soldiers aren't slitting throats of "SUSPECTS".
..they used heavy artillery on the 'suspects' instead of knives...that's cool, right?

MikeZA: RICA. We done that around 2009. grin . What you're doing now in Nigeria,South Africa is..................
.....outdated 2009.

Nigeria is....latest new model 2013

Henry120: This is the most advanced ISR platform in SSA.

I just feel like spanking her A$s.

"Damn girl, you got a bright future behind you".
@Henry my boss, na de message una send me I dey deliver o ! I checked out African ISTAR capabilities.

Not only in Sub-Saharan Africa, Egypt's air force flies 1973 model E-2C Hawkeye ECM aircraft and upgraded far back 2008. Nigerian air force is the only country in the whole of Africa flying a 2013 ELINT EW ATR-42 aircraft, we are the most advanced ISTAR force in the whole of Africa from Cape town to Cairo, no other military can fight an ISTAR war with Nigeria.

MikeZA: Oh sorry!!!! I meant three pictures change everything.

Carl Zeiss optronics Argos 410-Z.
Nothing changed dude, that optronics is NOT a radar, it is just a camera like you have on a drone grin

The fvcking South African Cessna 'World War II vintage toy aircraft' you posted in photo below....LOL...that bump-like box under it's belly is NOT a radar, it is a box for carrying extra travel luggage for it's passengers....Fool grin

Nigerian Beechcraft carries a radar under belly with 80km search range....66 years ahead of South Africa grin

Now go home suck your thumb and cry to mummy because Nigerians b.eat y.ou up grin

Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by AugustineAgain: 3:36am On Aug 02, 2014
MikeZA: Spy?

You seem to forget what ISTAR really mean.

You're now shifting the argument to payload and endurance. Many ISTAR drones have different payloads for different missions an IR or radar turret can be fitted.

Let's break down ISTAR letter by letter shall we?
1. Intelligence. SAAF JDRP,Litening III pod,Argos 410-Z pod and the Gripen can take pictures, videos etc for intell

2.Surveillance: The Gripen(with onboard radar and pods),A109 helicopter,Vulture UAVS etc can perform this.

3. Target acquisition: The Litening III can designate targets with laser, the Gripen can also do that with radar for the Hawk trainers. The Hawk trainer can armed with radar guided missiles and stand-off munitions.

4. Surveillance: Pods,Caravan,A109,Vulture UAVS can do fill this role.
Dude, if jet fighters with recce/targeting pods, and drones with cameras are ISTAR aircraft, why are countries like USA that have thousands of jet fighters with recce/targeting pods, and thousands of drones/UAV, still buying hundreds of ISTAR aircraft like Nigerian Beechcraft?

Simple answer, jets and drones are NOT dedicated ISTAR aircraft. Your drone cannot make judgement based on what it sees, it has no pilot viewing the area, your jets are too fast for stall near speed slow maneuver over area and do loiter on station for 10 hours.

Compare...

Surveillance- Identification of small 6 foot size objects- SAAF Seeker drone 5km range ....NAF Beechcraft Aeroplane 80km range

Range- SAAF Seeker Drone 200km.....NAF Beechcraft Aeroplane 5,000km

Equipment payload- SAAF Seeker 100 pounds....NAF Beechcraft Aeroplane 3,000 pounds

What kind of operational equipment multi-functions will 100 pounds do for South Africa in warfare when Nigeria is having 3,000 pounds?

Drones are point/short range surveillance unmanned aircraft with very limited capabilities, NOT an ISTAR. Why don't you carry your drone to the oceans of South Africa and let it work as maritime patrol aircraft instead of the Dakota aircraft?

Drones of SAAF carry no EW or ECM payloads like Nigerian Beechcraft, dude a Drone is not an electronic intelligence aircraft, ALL YOUR DRONES HAVE NO RADAR !!!!! Fool grin grin

SANDF/SAAF is forever 66 years behind NAF/NA in ISTAR warfare grin grin

.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by AugustineAgain: 11:00pm On Aug 01, 2014
MikeZA: Are you also gonna say UAVs aren't ISTAR aircraft?

ISTAR: Intelligence, surveillance and target acquisition and reconnaissance.

Drones, jets and many other aircraft can perform that duty.

The Gripen can designate targets, conduct reconnaissance taking videos and pictures and relay them to HQ with data links.

The Gripen can perform almost all the tasks your flying turkey takes.

Here's another ISTAR aircraft from the SANDF.
Can your toy Soweto drones fly range 5,000 km distance, fly altitude 10 km high, spy on target with radar 80 km away safe from enemy air defense, carry different types of multi-role ISTAR equipment load of heavy weight 3,000 pounds ?

It will take you 66 years to understand the meaning of ISTAR capability because that is how far your South Africa is crawling like a snail behind Nigeria, 66 years behind us tongue

sirjerry: hell,,SAAF has now turn into a force for female models, lol,,imagine a country national airforce.
South African military is not built for war, they are more interested in entertainment....life is good, SANDF don't wanna die...girls-booze-food-photography. LOL !!!!
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by AugustineAgain: 8:33pm On Aug 01, 2014
MikeZA: Lmaoooooooooooooo.

ISTAR: Intelligence, surveillance and target acquisition and reconnaissance. You forgot in the process the Oryx EW and Dakota EW which are packed with Saab grinteck advanced EW systems.

Wikipedia description: ISTAR is a practice that LINKS several battlefield functions together to assist a combat force in employing its sensors and managing the information they gather

All SANDF sensors including the Gripen carrying the JDRP or the Litening III Pod and other sensors, aircraft are linked via Link-ZA to the Chaka C2 system at headquarters.

You want more humble sir?
Bwahahahaha grin grin

Desperado Logumba grin grin

EW, ECM, ECCM and ESM warfare are not the same as ISTAR.

F-7 jet can carry targeting pod, recce pod, EW pod, so does that make it an ISTAR aircraft?

Electronic warfare is one thing, but ISTAR is four things combined. Nigerian ATR-42 is an MPA/electronic/ELINT warfare aircraft 100 times better than South African flying coffin Dakota 1957 ancient cucumber shaped aircraft. Did you ever hear me say ATR-42 is an ISTAR platform? Mumu !

SANDF is 66 years behind Nigeria in ISTAR warfare. Swallow extra humble pie.

#Show Us SAAF ISTAR Aircraft grin grin

MikeZA: One picture changes everything. LOL
No dummy, that is a Jet Fighter pod, NOT an ISTAR aircraft with powerful electronics loaded outside aircraft, inside cockpit, and inside cargo space cabin all packed full. South Africa has NO single ISTAR aircraft in this world...that's why your air force chief is crying for a chance to buy Nigerian type of Beechcraft ISTAR spy master...SAAF is 66 years behind NAF, and you have no money to buy any ISTAR planes for many years to come grin grin

.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by AugustineAgain: 5:57pm On Aug 01, 2014
MikeZA: ISTAR? Please post Nigerian equipment that matches the ones in the pics below
Nigeria has BOTH land based and airborne ISTAR vehicles and aircraft, the most sophisticated in Africa. I won't repeat that our long list again today.

South Africa has ZERO airborne ISTAR capability...SANDF is 66 years behind Nigeria in ISTAR warfare.

patches689: Even if you get 40, Nigeria does not have the air crew, technicians or facilities to operate all those new air craft

Nigeria also does not have the money
Last time I checked, it is South Africa that has terrible military manpower shortages grin

Oh ! and the last time I checked this too, it is South Africa that cancelled new weapons purchases and is retrenching soldiers for lack of money grin

SANDF is the victim grin

patches689: It will get slaughtered in conventional war

One gripen and one a-darter and it's game over
With Nigerian F-7NI jet escorts, our Beechcraft 350 are all safe in the air.

We don't even need to fly over SANDF side of battle line, with 80km air to ground spy radar range NAF Beechcraft will be flying safely 40km deep inside Nigerian side of the battlefield and yet it is targeting ALL South African military positions on the other side of the battle line, to direct our artillery fire to wipe out the whole SANDF in one day. tongue tongue

This is why American army and air force ordered more units of Nigeria's Beechcraft 350 type....weapons of the masters.

South Africa is 66 years behind Nigeria in ISTAR warfare tongue tongue

Thiza: @AUGUSTUS WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME NAIRA AIRFORCE CONDUCTED LIVE MISSILE DRILLS?
Photo 1 on its way to fire with pin point accuracy.
Photo 2 Recces on the ground directing the strike.
Photo4 the pilot in charge
Nigeria just bought F-7NI jets and final delivery was just year 2010, we bought them with 20 live combat PL-9C missiles and 10 dud training PL-9C missiles....we go regular joint combat training with the world experienced Pakistani air force, so what do you think we do with our training missiles?

South Africa has NO training missiles for its Gripen jets, so if you ever fire any missile in training, it will reduce your only 25 IRIS-T missiles to how many...15 missiles ? Nigeria has more missiles than South Africa, we have 20 PL-9C and over 100 PL-5/Atoll missiles for our F-7 jets.

South African air force has one of the worst missile shortages in the world shocked shocked

Patches, I am just being nice to you by trying to save your life. It will dangerously increase your high blood pressure to sphygmomanometer bursting levels if I post comments/sources where South African air force chief admitted your SANDF/SAAF is 60 years, in fact 66 years behind Nigerian air force ISTAR capabilities...ISTAR means Intelligence-Surveillance-Target Acquisition-Reconnaissance.

patches689: Our gripen can do the exact same thing as your prop plane... And we have 26 of them. And let's not mention our 9 other aircraft that have surveillance capabilities.... Or our drone fleet
Gripen is an air superiority jet fighter, NOT an ISTAR aircraft, American, British and other NATO air forces all have jet fighters far better than your Gripen jet, and yet they all bought many Beechcraft 350 ISTAR aircraft....you are a real resident dumbo in your Gauteng province, y.our rubber brain cannot differentiate between Jet fighter doing recce and an ISTAR aircraft fully loaded with ISTAR equipment doing ISTAR

@all South African dumbo domingos, don't let me hear you say again that only your ignorant and poorly informed SANDF military has data-links in all of Africa.

Then soweto dummies, you see this Beechcraft surprise from Nigeria? I told you that about 50% of Nigerian military equipment CANNOT be found on SIPRI or Wikipedia, even internet google search will not bring up many of them.

Nigerian military remains secretive, and Egypt will soon be overthrown by Nigeria.

Helghast: Excuses, excuses, excuses Bruh!!
Its always someone else's fault with you guys, and don't forget Israel has Palestinian supports within the country but Israel knows how to take care of national sercurity
Excuses you call them, but true facts they are. Don't the wasted generation of black South Africans blame their white-men Boer masters for using apartheid to waste their lives? Is that an excuse or true fact?

If Israel has 50% muslim population including the extremist versions, that internal security they have, will be reduced to ashes in one week.

You have a very faint idea of Islamic terrorism, ask Algeria to explain that to you...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Algerian_Civil_War

WTF! You are just as d.umb a domingo as he is, no wonder I confuse both of you...all SA human species are bottom of the ladder when intelligence is compared. Sorry for the identity mix up, dumbo grin
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by AugustineAgain:
Helghast: Hey dumba'ss I said 99.99% of Palestinians hate Israel and most of them support Hamas which will make it harder for Israel, and unlike you guys B.H doesn't have their own country to operate in, and they don't have the support of more than 500 000 people, B.H is nothing compared to Hamas.
you guys are fighting B.H in your own backyard which is a huge advantage, unlike having to go into another country were the environment is different and the locals don't want anything to do with you.

If Bokoharam was based in Cameroon, Ghana etc... I would understand and acknowledge the fact that it would be much harder for you, but B.H are inside Nigeria dude, they don't have a country to run to.
Goat.Head listen, Hamaz has no forest like Sambisa and Gwoza to hide. Hamaz has no 19 year old girls to send on spy mission and suicide bombing mission. You cannot identify Boko Haram members on the streets of Nigeria when he or she is selling bread and spying on Nigerian military bases, they look like innocent residents on the street. Hamaz does not have Israeli soldiers as helpers/spies, Boko Haram has Islamic extremist military officers inside Nigerian army leaking out military information to them. Your thinking is very crude, is this the same brain you claim you will use to build a nuclear bomb in your house garage? The old blacksmith iron bender in my village is smarter that you grin grin
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by AugustineAgain: 9:45pm On Jul 30, 2014
Helghast: This dude doesn't understand that N.A is not invading another country where basically 99.99% of the population hates you, and most of them are in support of the local Militia, and don't mind hiding them in their homes. Plus nigeria is not surrounded by Arab countries that can secretly supply the terrorists with arms and specialised training, Hama is far superior to B.H. Hamas has millions of followers most of my muslim friends post pictures of the Al-Qassam brigade on bbm, twitter and F.B everyday.
That slowpoke wants us to believe that N.A is superior to Israel, But nigeria Is facing a less powerful enemy in their own back yard and they are still getting their butts whooped, Hamas uses tactical precision and the element of surprise to attack Israel they don't just Role into an Israeli town in large convoys with their di'cks hanging out, they would get wiped out if they did what B.H is doing to Nigeria.
Dude don't waste your time responding to that Douche
[size=14pt]
Hey coconut head, Israel does not need support from the 99.9% Muslims civilians of Gaza, the Israelis are already bombarding them with artillery on civilian houses....k.illed over 1,000 women, men, children, and new born babies in 21 days....if Nigerian army does that in Damboa village that loves Boko Haram, what will USA/UK/NATO/EU/UN and dummies like you say?
