You can never take away the political fluidity of His Excellency, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR)
Asiwaju keeps increasing the blood pressure of his enemies.
Somebody should say, “It will never be well with my enemies” I hope you are buying fuel at N170 per liter. |

Jobs/Vacancies › Fed Up With My N45k/month Job. by Aurelius1(op): 3:38pm On Jun 02, 2023 |
I got a job as a hotel manager some months ago.
The hotel is a bit far from my house and I spend an average of N600 on transportation daily and the salary is 45k per month. Right now I'm fed up with the job.
The director is a man who doesn't take advice from anyone. He insults me at will and he says I'm stealing his money, even though he has no proof. I always leave the scene whenever he's around because he always has something to say and insult me at will even when I am not at fault.
He has gone round telling everybody that I and the bar man usually connive to steal his money which is completely false. The worst part is that he always threatens me with sack.
If not for the fact that I have kids to feed I would have resigned. I usually have this feeling of fear whenever am leaving for work in the morning. Just this morning he deducted 12k from my salary just because the security man resigned and went away with a student matress.
Right now I am in real distress because I am just so, so sad. I just need some words of encouragement/discouragement because I am gradually loosing it. |
Politics › Re: Subsidy: Queue In Port Harcourt (video,pictures) by Aurelius1(m): 2:48pm On May 30, 2023 |
nnadychuks: Ok let’s use your logic. You own a fuel station and buy 10k liters at a subsidized rate of #200 per liter (2,000,000)hoping to sell at 220-240 (2,200,000-2,400,000 total revenue). The problem with u as the manager now is that the new president had removed subsidy meaning it could be sold above #300 from your next purchase. Now check: your previous predicted revenue generated is 2.4mil max, and the present predicted cost price is 3mil min… As someone who at least studied basic economics in secondary school, do you sell at the same 240 u were selling before, or try to meet up with the current cost price? You were selling at 240 before the announcement, meanwhile you still have some old supply, why increase your selling price to 400 immiedately after the announcement just because you want to raise enough money to purchase at the new market price? It is only proper that when the old supply of 240 is exhausted, then you buy and sell at the new market price. |

timbs001: Hello everyone. It's been a while
This thread is for those that need airtime to buy data. Please refer to https://www.nairaland.com/7492192/christmas-giveaway-5k-each-10 if you are curious as regards how the winners will be chosen. Winners will be chosen randomly.
The criteria to qualify for winning the data are:
1. Your Nairaland account must be at least a year old. 2. Please write why you need the airtime (short and concise) 3. Please don't participate if you have enough already, it is more blessed to give than to receive.
As usual for transparency, the winners will be picked randomly. Please refer to my previous thread incase you want to know how the winners will be picked. Good day sir, I really need the N1k airtime. I am a gate man in a hotel with 2 kids and a wife I am a graduate and I really want things to change that's why I started learning video editing online. The airtime would be converted to data to aid my learning. |

Career › Re: The Sad Lives Of Freelancers In Nigeria by Aurelius1(m): 4:17pm On May 25, 2023 |
HardMirror: I will keep this short and no one should send me any message.
So last year I decided to revisit freelancing because I am a gifted writer and been writing for many years so why not use it to make money?
So I registered on a freelancing site and the journey began.
Making money is never the problem if you are a freelancer, the problem is how much time can you give to the job. The job was just too much that i had to employ many nairalanders to work for me. At a point I was earning $900 per week (i could earn much more than this but where is the time to do more work?) but the work was just too much. So much that i moved to an hotel for several months just so that i can focus and have the hotel staff attend to all my needs so I dont have to do any work except my writing job.
This is a job that would make you want to go mad. You will work mornimg and night as if you have no life. Forget social life, all you will be after is to meet deadlines.
People will think you are a yahoo boy because you dont go to an office and you are always on your laptop. They also see that you dont have problem with money. To make it worse you are always going to bank to collect dollars and take to aboki.
I shake my head when i see nigerians complaining that there is no work. There is work but most people cannot work. That is just the truth.
If you know you can make these sacrifices then you should consider freelancing so far you have the skills for the jobs you want to apply for. Which site(s) do you use for your freelancing? |

Was working peacefully one day, when i was told that rioting boys had shattered my windshield. I had friends who used to run and abandon their cars on the road when the madness starts. i witnessed these boys fight and loot shoprite that year. wow! was so glad when i finally relocated from there. Warri, not a place to raise a family! I remember the very day ShopRite was looted. I stood from afar and watched how Hon Baro Minabowanre who contested for House of Representatives under APC led thugs to destroy ShopRite. |

samwash: When you ask an average Nigerian graduate,"if you are giving say 5milliom now what can you do with it?" Answer; let the money comes first ideals will enter my head. Meaning there is no ideal anywhere. Another factor, we tend to like the easy way out, though we are in the digital times, nobody wants to invest in offline market, that's where the real money is. Money will always flow to where there's solutions. The first rule of an entrepreneur. It makes no sense asking somebody what he can do with 5 million when there is no 5 million to give to him. They are right in wanting the money to come first. |

So she got her visa and I told my babe that we should go to the registry so that my mind can be at rest that I have someone that i can call my own that was how my babe said she's not going to the registry because of PR in Yankee that if she's married to me it will be difficult for her because the easiest way to get a pr is to marry a citizen over there. I don't understand why my girlfriend will want to do that and I'm suggesting that she can go for Ph.D but she's just adamant.
Guys what do think i should do Start preparing for life without her. You've lost her, that's the bitter truth. |
