This matter is not as serious as you are carrying it on your head

Relax!!!! It's just a visa. She doesn't need to travel 3 times to show herself worthy of a renewal

P.s once u can't produce your old visa you DON'T qualify for Dropbox anymore so forget this lost passport business
Thanks Favoredgal for your good Advice,I really appreciate.

Thank you, all these bad advice will only get her into more trouble. That one country denied you a visa is no yardstick for another country to deny you. I remember years ago the very 1st visa i applied for (uk) was denied, a week after with the same passport i applied and was issued a Us visa
Thanks anizi, i appreciate. i will do as u guys said,Since every one advice was the same except Enyinne. My wife might still use it for vacation for the 3rd time before the expiry date in May.To make her case look more easy that after the Schengen rejection, that she has traveled to the US again and come back.

The process to even get a new passport is so difficult. Also, I beg to differ, she won't be refused based on the shengen refusal.
Thanks Nef, I have chosen to follow your Advice for her to Renew via drop box when the time is due next year.

My bro please don't lie.

Being refused a visa previously is NOT grounds for denial. You can go through all that process and still get denied so what would you do then?

Just be honest.. you'll get your visa...

This is the kind of stuff we do that gives Nigerians have a bad reputation!!!
Alright thanks Donugapi, she will do as u said. But the visa will expire next year in May,& she has used it twice already. We are just looking for a better solution & best way to overcome the whole situation,so that it doesnt affect her US visa renewal when the time is due next year in May.

It's better she makes a new passport claiming she lost d old one as that is what I did when my application for Canadian visa was refused .I had to do a fresh passport and tendered it to usa embassy and I got my 2yrs visa .if she dare go to usa embassy with that passport, tendencies is that she will be refused visa.

Thanks Enyinne. Is yours renewal when u claim to have lost it or first Visa.because hers is renewal. If yours is renewal too,Did u renew it via Drop Box or u went for interview before u got back your 2 years Visa. is there any other document u presented to the embassy to back up your claims that u actually lost your passport, like police report or any other document. Thanks in anticipation.

Haba. Bolded is a bit extreme..even if you get a new passport doesn't take away the fact that the denial happened.

There is no implication. If her travel history is as you have said it she no get problem.

That is why I have not gone for Schengen, they ask for one million documents, after gathering everything, at best they give you 3 months, at worst, they deny you.

Quite annoying. The migrant crisis is not helping matters too.
Thanks, for your Advice. i said the Bolded because i dont want anything that will affect her or stop her from having a US visa, which very very important to me than that Schengen. It is so annoying that u can have 5 visas and used all accordingly without even overstaying non of them and still get rejected this way and tell u that they dont have reason.Every document was proper, the acct was well funded travelling history was fine, she came back from US on 29 of Oct and submitted on 3rd of this month. so actually i dont know why.

Dropbox. If they need her to explain anything they will call her to the embassy

They don't reject anybody from Dropbox without inviting the person for an interview to give the person a fair chance with a visa office
Thanks Favouredgal, I really appreciate. because this thing wants to put sand in my Tea.

My opinion? Go for dropbox.if interview iss needed, they l call her. Shengen rejection cant/ shouldn't lead to us rejection. My peeps were rejected uk Visa. They applied for us a coupla weeks after and got
Thanks Very much LadyG.They gave her a very big surprise unexpected rejection today. She hasnt experienced such before.Rejection for no reason, this schengen people must be crazy sometimes. Atleast am still happy that it will not affect her US visa, because she has not used the US Visa for the very main reason we needed the Visa which u know.

Please my fellow nairalanders, My wife has been a frequent traveller to Germany since 2009 Having up to 5 schengen visas in her old Passport & 1 USA visa issued Last year in her new passport, but have used the US visa two times for Vacation last year & this Year. But to my surprise And Unexpectedly she was rejected a Schengen visa today & stamped her passport. I dont know if it was because she didnt travel to Europe last year. So please my question is, will the rejected stamp affect her US Visa when she will be renewing her US visa via drop box next Year May, when her US visa will Expire? or is it better for her to go for interview incase if they asked question about the rejected Schengen Visa? or can she make a new passport and tell them that she lost her passport and the Visa.

Good afternoon Guru's in the house.

Please I'll like to make enquiry for my sis. She and her family got a visit visa (B1/B2) sometimes in August and they were meant to go on vacation at that time but they had so much doing and could not go for the vacation. They therefore promised to make it up to the kids come December school break. Not too long after, she realized that she's pregnant, tummy protruding now ( she doesnt intend to have the baby in US) cos she cant stay back that long but the fear is, wont they have issues at POE

Please advise
Unless she is pregnant before her visa interview.I dont think she will have issues at the POE if she tells them that she came for holiday with her family, because her tummy will not be that much big as someone that comes to give birth. they know that people always comes for child birth from 7 months up. Rather if they suspect that she wants to give birth, they can stamp her in for shorter period instead of normal 6 months.

My agent is charging 70k for baby's ticket on united Airlines. Pls does any one hv idea of baggage allowance for baby and for me.
Had it been u bought your ticket direct from United airlines website, It should have been better for u to call their Nig number direct and book your baby ticket direct with them at a good price, they will attach your baby ticket with yours as soon as u pay to their acct & send it to your email address for u to print it out in the US. Then u can ask them all these baggage questions & have a direct answer from them.

Hello Shanaka29, how are you doing? Welcome to Houston, like others have stated, I think staying with family would have been more helpful but we shouldn't force it on you because you may have reasons for your decision. If NL will permit me to say, I still have room available and don't mind you sharing my space with me as a roommate for the 31/2 weeks you wish to stay. Since I am still currently looking for roommate.
NL hope this is okay? just want to be sure am not going against the rules?
Thats how to do it,in a cool well behaved gentle way. Do Take care of Shanaka29 very well in Houston & I wish her safe delivery.

Who issues the ESTA? What's the legality of it being used for child birth? And what level of information is required when applying.

For me, if she didn't provide the information when applying despite her ability to declare, then she can write to the authority that issued it - that is if it is legal.

CBP issues ESTA, its just an authorization from the US to permit u to travel under the US visa waiver programme if u are a citizen of a visa waiver country with the US.It expires after 2 years. The informations in the ESTA are just personal questions that they will like to more about u. Something like if u have been jailed before,if have been denied a US visa before, if u have some terminally illness like AIDS,etc. just to make sure that u are clean and that u are not coming to harm them in the US.So once u have your ESTA granted to u, have your Burden Of proof, & finally enough cash, then she is good to go and the rest she can explain with her mouth at the POE.

You are correct y'all. I failed to see that part . Just saw the 'hide ma big belle ' and sharperrly responded though is there any downside to the email?
she doesnt need to inform the embassy, because embassy doenst have her records in their Visa system, because she wasnt given a US visa,Rather she is travelling under a visa waiver programme as a british citizen. All she need to do is to apply for ESTA at CBP website & pay i think 15usd with credit card & if granted, she can travel to the US and have all her "proof of burden" documents to show to the CBP officer and explain why she wants to deliver her baby in the US.

U are very correct. thats why i am against LadyG for advising her to notify the embassy about her intentions.
Dentale:

I'm confused o. Does she have any business with US Embassy if she is travelling with a British passport? I think not. For all intents and purposes, she is British as long as she carries the red passport. She will declare her intentions on arrival just like citizens of countries who don't need a visa to enter the US.

LadyGuinivere:

Ist advice: #bigJacket? #hidebigstomach? That is a no no. U have to notify the embassy that u intend to birth in the US. whilst u search for a hospital within your budget

Not everyone that knows how to pm here,I myself dont know how to pm. U are correct, But remember that those old information might not be good for them. because of the city or state they intend to give birth to their LO. Everyone intended birthing city or states are different and every city or states with its own information about good birthing prices & good doctors prices as well. So i dont see it as a problem to give a good information about a doctor or Hospital that can benefit the people that might need them. Remember that information is powerful and without new information i dont think this thread will move forward.

You can share via PM.

Thread 1 and 2 are baskets of information regarding hospitals. Very insightful. Anyone that needs info should check the archives.

I have said it already that its is too risky to Use your bank cards in the USA because of Hackers. If not for security reasons,It doesnt worth losing your hard earned money to thieves renamed hackers because U used your ATM abroad. These hackers are professionals & they even Hack US bank cards not to talk of Nig bank cards. May God help those who still use their cards abroad from the hands of these fraudsters.
