The 2018 Audi A8 represents the future of luxury. It is larger than the outgoing model, comes in 12 exterior colours, a new Single-frame grille, with HD Matrix LED high-beam headlamps aka lasers, the car isn’t extremely futuristic. Compared to the current A8, the interior has a new virtual cockpit that displays important vehicle information in full HD resolution of 1,920 x 720 pixels, 10.5-inch centre infotainment screen. Virtually everything in the car relies more on the touch-screen and voice commands to access various functions. The New A8 also has an autopilot system which uses laser scanners, radar and other sensors to get the mapping of the surroundings, this helps to relieve the driver, especially during traffic. The autopilot can also park perfectly even when the driver is not around, but the process can still be monitored by the driver with his smartphone which must have been used to activate the autopilot system earlier. Other features include; 41 different driver assistance systems, 3D audio sound systems, cameras and sensors, connected smart phones, temperature control systems as well as a foot rest at the back-seats that have foot massaging functions. Talk about luxury. In the mechanical aspect, the eight speed tip-tronic four-wheel- drive Audi A8 comes with a pair of turbocharged V6 engine which have a 3.0-litre TFSI petrol mill that gives 340 horsepower, and a 3.0-liter TDI diesel with 286 horsepower. Audi promises 4.0-litre V8 engines for both gasoline and diesel power, W12 model and e-tron plug-in hybrid in its future models. The most interesting feature of the Audi, is its smooth ride like that of a Sedan but still maintains its sports car agility. This was possible due to the new AI active suspension, that consists of an electric motor and numerous other components for each wheel, allowing the system to adjust suspension load independently. The new 2018 Audi A8 will launch between September and December in Germany, with starting price that range from N37.8m ($103,000 ) to N39.3m($107,000) compared to the current A8‘s price of N30.3m($82,500). In many cases of flooding, several vehicles get damaged. This owes to the fact that water flows through to the engine of the vehicle and damages the electrical components contained. To avoid this, here are some tips that might help; 1.Switch off all electrical appliances of the vehicle. 2.Don’t start the vehicle’s ignition, it might cause sparks which can lead to a fire outbreak. 3.Disconnect and remove the battery of the vehicle and store in a safe place. 4.Don’t open the vehicle door with the the key remote, it may damage the electrical system. 5.Ensure you open your vehicle door manually. 6.If you need to remove a submerged vehicle, get a crane or a forklift to carry it. 7.Use a hand-held drier to dry the vehicle door upholster to avoid electrocution. 8.Contact a professional Auto electrician or a mechanic to fix your vehicle. Stay safe in this rainy season. https://autojosh.com/8-safety-tips-vehicles-during/

As the products of human creativity, dedication, and knowledge, machines should be objects of admiration. The concept was designed to explore and emphasize the fundamental appeal of machines: their fine craftsmanship, their beauty, simplicity, and their fascinating motion. As a true concept car, the Toyota Kikai’s appeal is simultaneously free from and reliant on the core concepts of automobiles. Innovative form This concept takes the machinery, normally hidden beneath the vehicle body, and makes an open display of its beauty. Directly expressed in this way, the vehicle’s inner workings become part of the exterior. In addition to the carefully designed form, continued into details including the fuel tank, reserve tank, and exhaust pipes, the analog-style meters and switches offer an engaging dialog with the machinery. New driving sensation The small window at the driver’s feet is another distinctive aspect of this car’s structure, communicating the movements of the tyres and suspension and the rush of speed along the road surface. Through the windshield, the movements of the upper control arm are also visible. This provides a novel driving sensation in which the machinery that supports the operations of cruising, turning, and stopping in ordinary everyday driving can be directly perceived with the senses. Stimulating layout The adoption of a central driver seat, which places the driver at the heart of the car, gives a more instinctive sensory connection with the vehicle. The optimal spacing between the three passenger seats achieved by their triangular layout creates a congenial in-cabin communication space. The expansive side window that reaches up to the roof delivers full enjoyment in urban and natural landscapes alike. While most vehicles conceal their inner workings beneath smooth sheet metal, this concept encourages us to appreciate the complex beauty of the mechanical aspects of cars. More broadly, it reminds us of the appeal of the physical and tactile in a digital age. Very far from production but yet jaw-dropping, the Maserati Genesi is a beauty to behold. Designed by Sergey Dvornytskyy, it stole its look from the Maserati Alfieri which still remains a concept too, but revealed in 2014 at the Geneva Motor Show. Dvornytskyy also designed the Genesi to be fully autonomous whilst allowing a driver to steer, if he feels like it. To further enhance the experience, when the Genesi is in autonomous mode, it activates its VR (Virtual Reality) mode and all of the windows will transform into a virtual reality cockpit. What’s your take on the Genesi? See more photos below; https://autojosh.com/introducing-the-maserati-genesi-concept/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 Ishilove Marpol Semid4lyfe Obinoscopy Seun

The injured were taken to the hospital and no life was lost after a multiple accident on Sapele - Agbor Road. 2 passengers were also seriously injured. According to eyewitnesses, the crash happened as a result of the heavy mist that covered the road following an early morning rainfall. The mist created poor visibility that made it impossible for the bus driver to notice the truck which crashed ahead, blocking its path.In an attempt to avoid running into the truck, the bus driver lost control and rammed into another trailer parked on the shoulder of the road. https://autojosh.com/multiple-accident-sapale-agbor-road-photos/

teeono64:Just usual and regular stuffs: Don't miss the routine maintenance, make sure you use the recommended engine oil code, keep the inside and outside squeaky clean, use a car cover if you are parking it for a while, use radiator coolant etc. The best ways to take care of the car yourself are washing/cleaning, monitoring oil/coolant level, ensuring adequate tyre pressure and most especially, reading and understanding the car manual. Some people also handle changing of the light bulbs, wiper blades, air filter and much more. |
Mrtesso:Thanks for the compliment |
lofty900:Thanks. |
dejakif:Did he just change the plugs only? Because you need to check if the nozzles are not blocked and coils are not burnt. You also need to check the fuel pump, filter and sensors before heading to the catalytic converter. |
Skoda is one of those car brands we used to admire in Nigeria. However, they seem to have become endangered species on Nigerian roads as we hardly see them anymore. Some of us even think they don’t make cars anymore but they are still waxing strong. The company recently announced they had produced the six millionth Skoda Octavia this year. The milestone unit was said to have been produced at the company’s headquarters in Mladá Boleslav, Czech Republic. The name Octavia comes from the Latin word for the number eight: ‘Octo’. In 1997, Skoda produced 61,000 units of the Octavia. The next year, it doubled to over 117,500 units. The Octavia Combi, which also stimulated demand, followed in 1998. In 2010, they had produced 1,442,100 Octavias.. and they reached 6 million units this year. Michael Oeljeklaus, Skoda Board Member for Production and Logistics, said, “No other model has run off Skoda’s production lines more often than the Octavia. It is the heart of our brand and represents the high performance of Skoda production and logistics. The Octavia has made a significant contribution to Skoda’s rise on the global markets.” https://autojosh.com/6-millionth-skoda-octavia-produced-not-a-dead-car-afterall/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 Ishilove Marpol Semid4lyfe Obinoscopy Seun

Tech and Tyre Company Continental‘s Engineers have found they can use interior surfaces in cars such as the roofs, seats, and dashboards to generate sound instead of the regular speakers. The new technology set for future cars is said to be cheaper for car makers to manufacture as well as helping save weight and improving vehicle fuel economy. The first test was on the Mercedes C-Class, the engineers replaced loudspeakers with 90% lighter sound actuators that create sound by vibrating different surfaces of the vehicle. The sound actuators consist of a magnet and coil that vibrates, thereby turning the whole car into a speaker and giving it a more 3D sound. Dimitrios Patsouras, director at the Continental Engineering Services stated that “The A-pillar is suited for high frequencies, while the door panels, for instance, have the right properties for generating medium frequencies.” Although these new tech has been tested successfully on several cars, the company says that its still years away from production and sales. https://autojosh.com/future-cars-will-speakerless-tech-tyre-continental/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 Ishilove Marpol Semid4lyfe Obinoscopy Seun

Although the BISS (Bio-inspired Safety Systems) has been in use for a long time, BMW is just starting to use this technology to keep their workers safe and reduce the risks of accidents. Most of the ideas of this technology were gotten from the Pomelo fruit of the Citrus family, which can fall from great heights without splitting open, other innovative ideas were from the scales of fish and reptiles and also the protective armor of crocodiles and alligators. The BISS is 20% lighter than the usual helmet and can be used for sporting gears. BMW is currently in partnership with 7 other organisations which include Adidas and some universities in Germany in respect of this project. https://autojosh.com/bmw-start-using-bio-inspired-safety-systems-workers/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 Ishilove Marpol Semid4lyfe Obinoscopy Seun
