I was using a camry 2008 before switching to accord 2010 v6. I have to say. Its the best decision i ever made. Not only is the accord more comfortable. The specs are actually better to me too. Its cheap to maintain. Drives smoother. Genuinely bias aside. I whole heartedly love the accord more than i ever enjoyed the camry.
If you are conflicted. Which i was too. When i was deciding if i should move to a honda brand. Just trust it. The accord is wayy better than muscle

Many thanks to you all. I did a check and observed the radiator was leaking badly. I filled the radiator with water and left if overnight only to discover water on the ground. Just changed the radiator and the cap, everything looks fine now.

The 2010 accord V6 with the VCM engine actually has a better mpg rating than its V6 Camry counterpart of the same year.

When I bought it, it had some oil spillage.
na near where the plugs dey.
It didn't cost much to fix, 500 for the gym, 2k for seal.
Na only that timing belt be the issue.
From your analysis the car dey alright.

The two cars have different wiring, the only way u can do this is either u use an aftermarket thumb start system or u change the wiring of your car to that of oem keyless ,thrust me u will be changing at least 30 percent of the total wiring in the car ,its not worth it!!!!!!!

O don't know that's why I am asking.
Then the oil leak, is it from the top where the plugs are?

1. I stay within the Lagos axis, I guess getting a competent mechanic won't be a hurdle.

2. I am considering 4 cylinders. You can advice me further on this. Thanks

3. The car will be used mostly within state drives. Interstate like Lagos to Onitsha will be once in a blue moon. Say 6 months period.

It is a 4 cylinder.
I haven't had any serious issues except that the timing belt has cut twice in the space of one month.
I will take your advice to fix the OBD port.
From my novice point of view, the engine is okay.

After 10years of struggle on a job that refused to increase my salary, I just acquired a 2nd hand tiny light Camry as family dey increase.
I want to maintain the car as my own GLK until God pick my call.
I intend servicing every month.

I noticed that the engine check light came on, some days later, fuel pump cast.

Another time I noticed check light and timing belt cut some days later.

Now the check light is on again, the OBD port is bad so I can't check what the issue is.
I need advice on how to maintain this car in pristine condition.

Any one with information either good or bad concerning this car should please comment

Yes, it runs well for about 20 minutes then begins to show the signs explained earlier.

I occasionally get Evap Gross Leak (P0455), this doesn't come all the time

Hello, thanks for the input.

Everything works except the acceleration. No hard start, no rough idling, it just doesn't rev above 2000 rpm and as a result, it doesn't move swiftly enough, also seems to get stuck on second gear.

Any ideas please?

Some of the car symptoms can be frustrating.....no thanks to 9ja bad roads cos most of this symptoms never came with the Toks cars......my formal car frustrated me to the estent when my friends won see me, dem need not go far or call, all dey need do na find me go my mechanic ......thank God I don buy new one and don't have plan to go mechanic for 4yrs

how far have you driven since? It takes about 30 miles before the light comes back if the problem is still there? If it's more than that, what AutoMoTech said. Also, why 6 spark plugs? Can you post a picture of your spark plugs and do NOT put in Tokunbo ones.
