pls Nairalander help me, i bought a Toyota Siena 02 less than 3 weeks ago.
when we bought the car we drove it down to ibadan, i gave it
To mechanic to fix brake pads, changes spring and chek the arms e.t.c
To a painter to do some touching so after like a week the battery was giving issues while we were still doing some finishing work on it. we will use another battery ti jump start it (starting it with another battery then put my own into me it), i realize my battery will not still start after running the car for about 20-30 mins.
so i bought another battery and things seems normal, went to rewire to, run a scan (ABS light is on dashborad since we got the car and the scan showed that the letf hand side of the front Tyre sensor was no tightened which was tightened and the light goes off) fix securtity lock (car Door lock), frod light.
After 2-3 days i left house drove for about 500meters and packed, when i moved again and had to pack after about 50 meter, i realize the engine did not start again it was cracking but not starting, so we put another battery and it started, meanwhile my new batterry is less down 2 weeks, so i called a re-wire to run a check with he siad i need to change the alternator which i gave him money to changed, and i droped my battery with a charger, so later in the day the re-wire brought the car, (his shop is about 3km to my house), i tried to start the car with the battery will use in the morning it was cracking as well as it could not start not until i put my newly charged battery. i did not pay the re-wire that i told him to let me test the car first which he agreed.
The second day i tested it, drove it about 2km packed if for hrs and it started thus i paid the re-wire all this happened on tuesday 7/7/2020,
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday i checked the car daily and it started (i will just start the car for about 2 mins and switched and go out with another car).
This morning been Sunday we used the car to church use AC, sound and drive for about 4-6 km to the church after 2hrs service i drove back home 4-6km again but on getting to my compound i realize the car radio was seizing which i did not bothered, so i packed and went inside only for me to come out 3hrs later to drive the car it began to crack again.
pls what is going on ? while will a car that started normal and i drove i drove for about 4-10 km today be cracking for low battery again.

3 things could be wrong. you need to isolate each. i read your story however lets not leave anything to chance except tested.
so the things that could be wrong;
1. bad battery
2. faulty alternator
3. parasitic.

before chasing number 3, test and rule out 1 & 2.

Car runs great only when idling with a.c. on ,that's when you feel the vibration a lot

alright...do you still feel the vibration when compressor is off? or regardless its always vibrating?
vibration at idle, when ac is on etc could be as a result of a dirty throttle body/ idle air control valve. check your throttle body (the one they call injector mouth) if its dirty, clean it and see.

I use a Honda Civic 2008, and after entering one dangerous pot hole, the radiator started leaking, it was fixed, but still getting short of water and over heating, then it was bleeded and still the same thing.

morning sir. there is a high chance you have a leak somewhere else. either internal or xternal. persoanlly is don support fixing a radiator. it works o but i dont suggest it to my customers. replacement usually gives better peace of mind.
now do you experience misfires? after fixing the radiator did you pressure test to check if the system can hold enough pressure? also have you tested the radiator cap if it holds pressure?

Personal opinion: any competent Technician should be able to help resolve this issue provided its just the fuel rail pressure switch fault. So you just might need a good diagnosis also.

Took of the one on top of the transmission today and put it back ,
The vibration has greatly reduced. It’s stilk present but not as hard as before
The vibration is only obvious when seated in the car

Can you confirm the engine is not misfiring?
Also this vibration is it at idle, at a certain speed or everytime?

Why do I have to really force my gear lever before it could engage the Drive, but the reverse neutral and park are just normal, but when I shift to Drive it will show neutral until I force it, and I che k my flood level it was on hot position what will I do

Get a Mechanic to help you check the gear lever and the mechanism for the shifts.

Good evening , changed two torn mounts on my 08 accord and now the car vibrates internally when you sit in it you feel it . This wasn’t there before I changed the seats olease urgent help is needed
I changed the two seats on the drivers side

Since it wasn't there before, there is chance u either got a wrong seating, its improperly fixed or the seatings are bad.
Except if the vehicle has been vibrating before but you didnt notice because of the previous bad engine seats

Factory recommendation for your vehicle is Toyota WS transmission oil grade. Anything other than this might cause a damage to your transmission. Pls try as soon as possible to replace the oil with the recommended oil which is WS.

I'm sure your check engine light is illuminated. Just scan and extract the code. It will give you a clue as to what the problem is. I had similar problem on my camry 2004. It was sorted out by replacing the throttle body and Ecu. But that'll not be the case with yours. Mine was a long story.

To be honest no much difference in fuel consumption but from related studies I found out that a defective electronic control throttle system could be another reason for the high fuel consumption and that's why I want to get that fixed then evaluate the overall fuel consumption of the ride.

with a scan tool you should be able to connect to the TCM. or better still pls just do a full scan of all the modules not just the engine.
my fear is if the transmission is bad and might need to be replaced completely.

Yes I changed the whole solenoid.

After the change I didn't scan it

Transmission module as in.. Or I should just scan the car again

so I got the Engine coolant temperature circuit 2 issue sorted out. it was a loosed wiring dangling beneath the radiator. got the vehicle re scanned and error code was off.

Though the only code coming out this time around is P1659 ETCS control relay malfunction off. please how can I get this sorted out.

thanks for the feedback.
there is a relay that is used to control your throttle. check the relay, if faulty fix. you can just swap with a good one, test, clear code and see if the codes goes away or comes back. if its not relay then its probably in the wiring.
also i'ld love to ask, after fixing the coolant sensor wiring, have you noticed any difference in fuel consumption?

The car was showing error code P1887 and checks by mechanics advised I should change it.

Also, I just change the oil and did service in February, 2020

Before now, it's changes it does not shift beyond the 3rd gear sometimes, got better after the service but now it gets up to the 4th and wen it's does not go into the fifth in instead it just disengages.

So you changed the whole solenoid shey?
Did U run scan after the fix?
First of all. Your problem is still with the gear system. Might be in the wiring or the mechanical gears.
But for a start. Pls scan transmission module if there is one so we know what he computer nis complaining about.

I changed the Shift solenoid of my Transmission but the car is not shifting after 80Km/h, it just disengages it and starts revving.

Then the D light starts blinking and at that stage I get a smooth drive with smooth shifting. Although sometimes i notice I lose power at some point.

What could be the issue??

Can you recommend a good scanner for my car

sorry i need to ask some questions for better understanding.
a. can you give a brief history of the vehicle pertaining to transmission service etc.
b. why did you change the shift solenoid?
what informed the decision?
did you diagnose the issue?
c. when you drive and the transmmission shifts, can you possibly tell how many gears changes?
d. finally any capable scanner should be able to read the trouble code stored. pls do endevour to scan and post error codes. so we can further assist.
