I read some booklets and whole lots of researches about Freemasonry for about 5 years now. My unanswered question still remains;

Who do they worship?

In every society or religion that God or Prayer is mentioned, there is basically something being worshiped. I one of their booklets it stated how that "all meetings begin and end with prayer and it is the role of the Lodge Chaplain to lead the members in this part of the meeting."

So, Who do they worship?

If you actually mean your words that Ciroma and his cabal  are painting the North black, then you are a friend. There have been enough cries from Southerners that true Northerners should disown the likes of Ciroma so we can get on, because we know that not all of the core Northern elite is bad. There are very good ones eg Col Umar, Balarabe Musa (with some reservations), Ribadu, El-Rufai, I also like Sule Lamido.

If you say 1 in every 3 South Easterner is dubious, then you are no better than Ciroma whom you condemn.
They are painting North Black because of their hunger for POWER! TRUE Unity does not consider ZONING, in the present Nigeria setting I don't like Zoning, I think its a tool for some few to dominate the power. On the bold part, you are lying. Yes, you are! you say ALL CORE NORTHERN ELITE IS BAD, hmm I wonder oooo, ,

Lolz, you are basically saying that 1 in every 3 hausa/fulani have more than $1,000. Yea, because that's what a cow is worth presently! I have cows not cow. Having a cow is wealth not a cause.

Sanusi you have disappointed me.

Why should we continue to stay with those RACISTS southerners? Especially those south easterners. They know nothing but hatred, selfishness, cowardliness, and destigmatization. They say they hate us, they even die to show they hate us (civil war), they do everything to bring us down down down. They hate anything from North or Hausa or Fulani. They hate our children, they hate our women, they hate our religion, they hate everything about us. Why must we remain together? Why must we continue to use their resources on their homelands? Sanusi, I was counting on you as one of those great leaders of Arewa Republic (Hausaland), but now you have disappointed me. Sanusi, you have to change your mind, we have to save ourselves, our brothers, our children, from those devils of the south east, they simply HATE US. This is not just on the Internet, it is EVERYWHERE, you just have to understand.

Sanusi you have disappointed me.

IslamWhy Are So Many Modern British Career Women Converting To Islam? by auwal87(op): 7:32pm On Oct 27, 2010
Tony Blair’s sister-in-law announced her conversion to Islam last weekend. Journalist Lauren Booth embraced the faith after what she describes as a ‘holy experience’ in Iran.

She is just one of a growing number of modern British career women to do so. Here, writer EVE AHMED, who was raised as a Muslim before rejecting the faith, explores the reasons why.

Much of my childhood was spent trying to escape Islam.

Born in London to an English mother and a Pakistani Muslim father, I was brought up to follow my father’s faith without question.
But, privately, I hated it. The minute I left home for university at the age of 18, I abandoned it altogether.
As far as I was concerned, being a Muslim meant hearing the word ‘No’ over and over again.

Girls from my background were barred from so many of the things my English friends took for granted. Indeed, it seemed to me that almost anything fun was haram, or forbidden, to girls like me.

There were so many random, petty rules. No whistling. No chewing of gum. No riding bikes. No watching Top Of The Pops. No wearing make-up or clothes which revealed the shape of the body.

No eating in the street or putting my hands in my pockets. No cutting my hair or painting my nails. No asking questions or answering back. No keeping dogs as pets, (they were unclean).

And, of course, no sitting next to men, shaking their hands or even making eye contact with them.
These ground rules were imposed by my father and I, therefore, assumed they must be an integral part of being a good Muslim.

Small wonder, then, that as soon as I was old enough to exert my independence, I rejected the whole package and turned my back on Islam. After all, what modern, liberated British woman would choose to live such a life?

Well, quite a lot, it turns out, including Islam’s latest surprise convert, Tony Blair’s sister-in-law Lauren Booth. And after my own break with my past, I’ve followed with fascination the growing trend of Western women choosing to convert to Islam.

Broadcaster and journalist Booth, 43, says she now wears a hijab head covering whenever she leaves home, prays five times a day and visits her local mosque ‘when I can’.

She decided to become a Muslim six weeks ago after visiting the shrine of Fatima al-Masumeh in the city of Qom, and says: ‘It was a Tuesday evening, and I sat down and felt this shot of spiritual morphine, just absolute bliss and joy.’

Before her awakening in Iran, she had been ‘sympathetic’ to Islam and has spent considerable time working in Palestine. ‘I was always impressed with the strength and comfort it gave,’ she says.

How, I wondered, could women be drawn to a religion which I felt had kept me in such a lowly, submissive place? How could their experiences of Islam be so very different to mine?

According to Kevin Brice from Swansea University, who has specialised in studying white conversion to Islam, these women are part of an intriguing trend.

He explains: ‘They seek spirituality, a higher meaning, and tend to be deep thinkers. The other type of women who turn to Islam are what I call “converts of convenience”. They’ll assume the trappings of the religion to please their Muslim husband and his family, but won’t necessarily attend mosque, pray or fast.’

I spoke to a diverse selection of white Western converts in a bid to re-examine the faith I had rejected.

Women like Kristiane Backer, 43, a London-based former MTV presenter who had led the kind of liberal Western-style life that I yearned for as a teenager, yet who turned her back on it and embraced Islam instead. Her reason? The ‘anything goes’ permissive society that I coveted had proved to be a superficial void.

Either he is aware or he is being fooled too!
PoliticsRe: SSS, Others Intercept Rocket Launchers, Bombs In Lagos by auwal87(m): 6:30pm On Oct 27, 2010
AMAZING!!!

The SHIPMENT was not originated from IRAN!!!

The Dynamic is;

1. Goodluck Jonathan wants to clear himself from blaming MEND on the 1st October attacks
2. He immediately ordered this scenario, so that Nigerians will be fooled to think that Goodluck is True, some foreign elements are involved in the 1st October Bombings.
3. Reliable reports revealed to me that even the containers that were said to be intercepted were actually not taken from any ship from outside Nigeria AND has NO NAME on it, so it is basically carrying NIGERIAN flag, it is NIGERIAN.

Conclusion
Nigerian Government under Goodluck Jonathan is fooling NIGERIANS on this one just to divert attention from the MEND's threats. It is a game well played, understood by the few among the most intelligent. undecided
It seems like you don't know our religion well, just doing your search, copy, and paste. Well, in our prayer, there are basically 4 stages, standing, bowing, prostrating, and sitting. So what the hadith is explaining is that when someone rise from prostrating or sitting, Satan may cause him to forget how many rak'as he prayed. (Rak'a is the completion of the 4 stages above).

The fact is that almost 90% of all Nigerian government revenue comes from the oil, that means at most 10% comes from Agriculture - but it is surely no more than 1% - since hadly any taxes are paid on Agriculture.

Thus, the real issue is not whether the North or any other region is contributing to the economy, but the following. The income from the agricultural contribution by the North is RECEIVED BY THE NORTH. In contrast, the income from crude oil by the region that produces it is taking almost entirely from them, even though it is only 19%, and used to support the other region's contributions. The 13% derivation means that they only get to keep about 2.6% of the GDP+whatever the Federal Government distributes in general.

Moreover, that 2.6% is funnelled through a corrupt system such that the true owners of the oil see very little of it at the end of the day. Meanwhile, the FG gives subsidies on fuel and provides free fertilizer for Agriculture - but the income goes straight to the farmer. In addition, the land of the oil producing regions are damaged, fried and generally ruined so that they cannot even attempt to engage in productive agriculture in many parts.

This is the violation of natural justice that we are collectively perpetuating in Nigeria. No wonder the country knows no peace.
Afterall, you should know that it isn't in the Nigeria's constitution either for that to have happened.
Does that means that should the North also have oil, it will also retain and refuse to distribute nationally? No! It must do like the South East are doing, that is where the big problem starts, and we shouldn't pray this happens now. We should pray North gets its oil when it is fully independence from the present Nigeria. undecided

Tsiya:
My fear, is creation of despots and dictators at regional level. However, I am a proponent of self determination and government and have always preferred regional government elected based on representative democracy.

However, the idea that traditional rulers are closer to the masses is a fallacy. Throughout the history of Hausaland, Sarakuna and Hakimai never represent the interest of the masses by their own interest. They are despots who consficate cows, land and wives of the masses. Untill the present day it still continues. Even today, I cannot see my Emir unless from a far away distance. Why? Because I am either a Talaka or Bawan Sarki. Where is justice, fairness and equality here? Anybody from the royal families in the north have 99% chance of getting better education and job because of the influence their family wield on the society. In the spirit of fairness, justice and equality, nobody will advocate the return of political relevance of these despots. Haba Mallam. These are the same despots that Usumanu dan Fodiyo faughts only to surface in another form, claiming legitimacy by being his descendants.

A system of representation why people will elect who their representative and directly vote on issues that concern them in the form of referendum is the preferred system of government and that is the system that The Prophet used. When there is misunderstanding, they cast lot before decision is made. Not some despote sitting on a Gold-plated Chair claiming to have all the knowledge, wisdom and interest of his people.

You need to rethink on this to get the support of the masses
But that doesn't mean the traditional system will be abolished or abandoned. It has to be refurbished just as you said Usman Dan Fodio tried to do. It is still possible to refurbish the system. We can have efficient traditional system that listens to the masses. Afterall they have nothing to do with decision making to affect the Talakawa. I can propose a system where the Traditional rulers remain active but with more power rested on the most competent courts.

Believe me, Tsiya, the proposed system is the best that will take Nigerians out of the present chaos, it doesn't have to be on our passports, but obviously, we will be seeing where foreign investors will be heading to when they come to invest in the country. I am very sure, North will prosper under this system, no cry. IT IS POSSIBLE.

YOU ARE RIGHT. BUT ITS MUCH MORE COMPLEX THAN THAT.

1) what happens to the south-south. are the igbos and yorubas just going to split it.
2) the issue of land ( kogi, kwara and benue) would lead to conflict
3) the minorities would view it as a systematic colonisation.eg. the niger delta would have to speak eithe yoruba or igbo to prevent discrimination
1) The south-south is a sub-region. Remember, all starts have 60% of their resources on their hands, they only contribute 30% to their regional government and 10% to the central government. e.g. Bayelsa state will contribute 30% to the South East Regional Government and 10% to the Central Government. Yorubas have nothing to do with the south-south.

2) Kogi, Kwara, Benue, should there be a need, then new state will emerge to prevent the possible conflict
3) the minorities are sometimes cool, grin they have less problem in as much as you are not moving them away from their houses.

But all above problems is a minor problem compared to the current problem of the present structure.

I thought you were advocating for the Northern States to secede from the Federation of Nigeria, but now you are advocating a different tune.

For me personally I am looking for a system where Justice, Equity, Fairness and Prosperity will be guaranteed for all citizens irrespective of birth, language, religious affiliation or sects and status. The current system hasn't provided that, and what guarantee do we have that this your proposals will bring sanity and prosperity in Northern Nigeria. I detest the idea that traditional rulers should be part of our future system. They haven't proven to be honest, accountable and just in the past, present and neither in the future.

What is your philosophy? Are you just looking for political independence/partial independence or you are striving towards a just society?
Tsiya, (Allah ya raba mu da ita, Amin).

Every move have plans, we cannot just wake up tomorrow and say we have Hausaland, we are no more with Nigeria, this will bring chaos, this may even lead to bloodshed. But with structured plan like this one, we will detest to our true peaceful independence. We will organize this movement first, when achieved we will then move to the next, but it will be careful and structure, it will not just happen in a day. We will need support from every side of the present structure of Nigeria, even you.

The proposed system I provided will provide sanity as you questioned, it will have to be implemented, that structure is a one-step but very effective way of getting the Present Nigeria out of this mess. e.g. when we have this structure in place, our economy will be centered in regional places, some regions will even be competing with other regions (e.g. Abu Dhabi competing with Dubai e.t.c). This is only an example not a comparison of their structure.

The traditional rulers are the closest to the main grass-roots, as such, they are more likely to know grass-roots's problem more than the others. They will not participate just to obtain allowances, but to contribute to the development of the region. E.g. we should phase our minds to say that "Kai, we will not sit down and see the south east region become more developed than northern Nigeria, we will do all possible to improve our economy, etc.

We have to COMPETE. When Nitel was the only telecom operator in Nigeria, they have all the monopoly, but they operated very very poor. But when other telecoms were introduced to the market, we have COMPETITION, and it worked. So also Nigeria, we have Nigeria, it is competing with any one, but when we have 3 regional governments, they must compete. There we will have full working governments competing!
CultureRe: Hausa-foulani Thread by auwal87(m): 5:32pm On Oct 24, 2010
The issues we should be discussing now is how we can get out of the present structure called Federal Republic of Nigeria.

We need a structure where our past heritage will be respected, where we will develop our culture without fair of dismantlements from other parts of the country. We need to restore our image, our past legacies, our hospitality, our arts, and our faith. We have lots of work to do.

We cannot achieve this in the present structure called Nigeria. Let us have a full working courts with more power, uncorrupted and just. Where every leader will be afraid of fouling on every line, on every action he/she will take. Where our people once again will become law abiding citizens.
