National lockdown is NOT inter-state lockdown. Correct your topic! By the way, inter-state lockdown is okay. Let's move freely within our states!! Modified: I see you have modified the topic of your post. Or maybe the mods helped you out... |

tycomm: We are in two difficult situations 1.Lift lockdown, the infection will multiply by the thousands considering how our Nigeria urban centre is structured, Social distancing cannot work 2. Keep lockdown, people will die of hunger, cos no palliative anywhere, Both choices are hard. It's really pathetic. Option 1 is no issue because MOST of the confirmed cases are NOT showing any symptoms and they will recover with little or no treatment. The sham lockdowns have not solved anything! If we here to be hard-hit by the virus like US, UK and co, by now, we would all have been dead!! |
Health › Re: COVID-19: Lockdown Or No Lockdown - Which Side Are You? by Avalancheman: 4:11pm On Apr 26, 2020 |
Only a stark raving senseless looooonatic will advocate for lockdown extension. The current lockdowns are a sham. They are NOT working. They CAN'T work! Corruption is not allowing palliatives to get to the vulnerable. Even then, more people are becoming vulnerable by the day and Nigeria is not rich enough to provide for all. Many workers won't be paid for April. How will they survive Now, our economic crisis is staring us in the face due to the current price of crude oil. Can we afford to remain on lockdown Coronavirus in NOT for Africa! MOST of the confirmed cases will recover with little or no treatment. I mean, the LORD God has been so good to us. Why are we suffering ourselves If all the hard-hit nations had to show after having the Coronavirus in their country since January is 35 deaths, I bet you the would have long-stopped talking about the virus. |
Health › Re: COVID-19: Lockdown Or No Lockdown - Which Side Are You? by Avalancheman: 4:02pm On Apr 26, 2020 |
Koolking: Option 2 can never work in a country like Nigeria. Citizens, especially Lagosians have not complied with the mandatory lockdown, how much more voluntary lockdown. Our case will be worst than USA if option 2 is applied. A lot of Nigerian still don't believe there is COVID-19, they feel govt is lying hence they're asking for names, pictures and videos of the patients. These are the types that will infect thousands due to their careless living out of freedom.
Mandatory lockdown and complete enforcement by the military (not the Police) at least 2 more weeks will flatten the curve.
Palliatives? Govt can not provide palliatives for everybody. Where is the fund? We have to stop deceiving ourselves. We are in a war situation. Who will survive will survive. Factly, humans will always adjust and adapt for survival. There is no curve to flatten! Coronavirus has been in Nigeria since January. We currently have as many as 100,000 cases. Yet only 35 deaths!! And we are in no war situation. Even during the Biafra war, Nigerians were balling and many were not even aware that there was an ongoing war. Coronavirus is NOT for Africa! Had we been hard hit like US, UK and co, we would all have been dead by now... |

U can't just lock people in their house without food nor money.....and expect them not to groan.
The lock down is definitely going to be extended......at least in Lagos till like June or July. Looks like your head is not correct. First, the current lockdown is a sham and is not working.Hustlers are on the streets defying it. Second, companies that are bearing the brunt may eventually collapse thereby causing unemployment and economic crisis. The lockdown must not be extended. |
