Singing in 9ice's voice: Seemuu nii (all are the same thing)! Concerns me not, as long as she raises the money to fund her projects independently without huge budgetary allocation from the Nigerian treasury (though doubtful). NB: Proper Care must also be taken as to those contributing to these projects - if funds are raised independently by wife of president - are devoid of political/economic interests (another doubt). |
Attention! Quick march! Slow march! Left turn! Right turn! About turn! Double up! Salute! Open your hat! Stand at ease! Fall in! Fall out! Leg bent! Halt! Ooooorrrrddddeeerrrr!!! |
Ajigijaga - Ajagajigi; Broken-bottle; Igi-eleeraa RIP Baba! |
What ever rocks the individual's boat. As long as you get job satisfaction! Some graduate will rather work for free in a blue chip company than work as a cleaner in the same company. As the saying goes...no matter how hungry a lion is, it will never eat grass. Different strokes for different folks. Only levels of hunger will determine if lion will eat grass or wait for the fat antelope. |
Hulkamania should know that from time immemorial: Once a white gurl goes black...ain't nothing gonna stop her! |
All the above bring nostalgia. Not forgetting Battle of the planets.

Just in case he loses his memory/forgets who he is...that will serve as a reminder! |
But isn't it high time the government place a ban on these hijab at least to curb the activities of females suicide bombers or male suicide bombers disguised as females. Let no one wear the purdah or is it hijab in any public place until security situation improve. It may sound insensitive to some but could go a long way to save lives and properties. |
Let me share my experience, I will lay it all bare so people can learn from it. Happened years ago, fresh from university, beaming with hopes and aspirations. I applied to Akintola Williams Deloitte, and several thousands of us wrote the aptitude test. I was among the 60 or maybe 80 that scaled through the first stage. Then we did a written test for the second stage. I scaled through again...we were maybe 40. Then came the final stage, meeting with the partners. In fact, I was beaming with confidence like I got my first job in my pocket. It was more of a friendly discussion between me and Victor Hammond. Then came the bombshell! I discussed my plans of taking up accountancy lectures and qualifying within the shortest possible time, even though I wasn't an accountancy student, I knew the workings of audit firms. The he asked about accountancy associations. In my mind, I was like 'easy, pizzy, lemon-squeezy". 'ACCA, ICAN...ANAN'. Eewo! The moment I mentioned ANAN, everything changed. That was when I knew the rivalry (or rather hatred) for ANAN in ICAN accounting firm isn't "moin-moin". Hammond said, "you mentioned ANAN in an ICAN firm?" One word "ANAN" cost me my first job. |
Will political jobbers start changing religions? #conversionthings |
To an average Nigerian - PwC should stop nonsense speculations... You that cannot reconcile $20bn conclusively..keep your financial modelling and forecasting advice where your mouth is. |
Vain actors/actresses... Soon, very soon, silicone boo.bs will be a criteria to getting roles in Nollywood. And who am I to criticize? They got their market anyways. It's all good as long as the industry creates employment and put food on people's tables. |
Marry you no gree marry... ![]() This is more like an hotel room...and he was prolly packing/unpacking. |
My take on this: Don't marry what you can't carry! |

Never take the promises of Nigerian employers especially HR as binding unless it is printed black and white. Though a contract can be binding be it written or given orally as long as there is consideration and the other party to the contract fulfils his end. It is not so with many Nigerian banks because, to them if it is not in black and white it is not binding. |
Now the Vaseline and soap crew got justification....smh |
tanimola22:Your moniker says it all... Nobody knows tomorrow! |
Back in those days, I virtually toured the entire nation in the name of job hunt...I was a mini 'Ajala:...from Lagos to Benin, from PH to Abuja to Ibadan...gone were those days. I became a master aptitude test 'passer' and a mega interview flop. If only I knew that my stepping stone to getting a head start and fairly good pay with one of the big 4 audit firms was just 3 blocks away from my house (my neighbour knew someone who knew someone ) I wouldn't have done all the Ajala travelling at all.Thanking God for blessing me hussles. |
This wasn't the kinda firewood her mamma carried in order to give her sound education, was it? |
Looks more like a 'disable' toilet. |
When people talk not about yeh..then you dead... No matter what you do..people will talk. These are two consenting adults for pete's sake. At least, better a beautiful model than doing a 'Yerima'. Only the dead gat no enemies! |
I envisaged this way back just after the election outcome: ...We know that for other political appointees, it will be very very difficult for us to hear new names that will deviate completely from those political hustlers/jobbers we have heard over the years. Some names are just going to be recurring with the news of CVs being dropped on presidents...though I pray not... https://www.nairaland.com/2242483/governing-nigeria-recycling-centre#32454467 |

Badttt Guy 'Adamsoooo'... Leave the young ex-model for younger boiz naaa... Why didn't he marry ma'am 'go and die'? Thought she was a widow and in his age bracket. Hey just kidding.. Anyway..no beefs...wishing them a blissful married life. |
Our Intelligence Agencies and those in charge of the President's security should stop being lazy. With proper planning, our roads shouldn't be blocked for hours just because 'oga or 'oga madam dey pass'. Gone are those dark ages when you hold ordinary citizens up for hours because the 'ogas' want to use the road for a couple of minutes. With proper planning, roads should be closed for not more than half an hour, cars diverted through alternative routes and reopened as soon as possible for people to go about their normal businesses. Closing off all route for hours unend does not necessarily mean the security agencies are working; it only shows inefficiency, lack of planning, 'eye-service' and overzealousness. |
Can't blame them....they got inspired after watching tales by moonlight -the goat and yam story (in the land where stealing was never corruption). Their punishment? Roast all the yams and make them eat all without water nor oil ![]() Hey, that was just on a lighter note oooo! |
proxitaly:Lol...Hell No. More like a naija version of "Face-off". |
felsunseg: richidinho:Guys, I believe the 2013 team was also absolutely fantastic, if you read my first post, I based my analysis on the how many of them progressed to senior teams and subsequently went on to achieve both individually and collectively at higher levels. Time will tell how many of the 2013 team will achieve that, and I sincerely pray they are properly managed and mentored to surpass the old guards. That is what we all want...for our younger ones to break and surpass the records of yesteryears. Moreover, Nigerians are quick to condemn the old boys because there was no scientific way of measuring their ages...thank God for MRI scan, at least we all know there is a fair playing ground and countries are presenting players within the that limit. What makes you think even with the MRI scan, the likes of Kanu, Babayaro, Oruma wouldn't have shined in their era? Bro, if you are a star, you are a star. |
Maga don pay. Whatever happened to cashless policy? Well I know many more will still fall for this kind of scam. If you are the next awaiting gullible mugu, an advice for you: Just give the pastor your unsigned chequebooks to pray over. At the same time watch your phone for debit alerts! |
Icon4s:The 1987 team was also high up there. The only team that didn't lose to the Russians in open play in the tournament - drawing twice in the group phases and the final (1-1). Only losing on penalties. While the Russians were a free scoring side, with minimum of 3 goals per match - some sides conceded as much as 7 goals or 5 goals. Oleg Salenko was not in that team but was in the 1989 team - the Dammam Miracle - which we defeated on penalties after going 4-0 down. Can remember vividly, the reinforced 1987 under 17 team being joined by Mutiu Adepoju, Chris Ohenhen, Sam Elijah, Nduka Ugbade et al under bearded coach Tunde Disu in 1989. Fond memories. And great analysis by you. |

) I wouldn't have done all the Ajala travelling at all.
