divinehand2003:At the bolded...we got it all wrong when we started believing in prosperity and everlasting riches. |
Gggg102:Sorry buddy, it sounds perfectly right. They made right choices with those who rule them, who had vision to make their countries attractive to immigrants. Now go get your PVCs and vote out these vision less old men, have a say in the polity of your country. Maybe, just maybe, we will get to have visionary leaders who will make our country attractive enough, not only to stop brain drains, but to attract immigrants to build our great nation. I weep when in 2018, our youths still clamour for the Buharis, the Atikus etc. |
Within the nearest future, self driving cars will flood the world...who then needs the comparison Just asking! |
naptu2:No worries mate... You still gave us an 'A' thread. |
Fond memories OP... Fresh Prince of Bel-Air also comes to mind...I think it's more of the early 90s though than 80s. For some other comedy shows on NTA channel 7 (chain I don't old wells)...we had; The Ariya Jesters (Ereke ni Shop and Alajeju) Then Obalende and Ateyepe There was also Baba Suwe in the borderline of 80's n 90s Tanmo (ko wa so)...more of TV quiz show but still fun There was also Mirror in the sun (some comedy skits there)..and Ccock Crow at Dawn... Nice compilation OP..cheers. |
Leave Yoruba sentimental respectfulness at home. If a younger person even if he is a child in in position, they should respect the office/position, not the person. These same people you talk about...assume you are the son of the chairman, just fresh out of secondary school, and have the power to sack without question, you'll see these same old people rolling on the floor for you - it's called eye-service. These same people will be the one gossiping about you being weak. Better, they say behind you 'werey ma l'oga yen' that boss is a mad man, better do his task than risk his wrath. Like someone said, leave out sentiments, do your work, else someone else will do it for you. If a 39year old could be the preside over a country like France, I see no reason why a 24 year old can't run a small department within an organisation or even run the company itself. Free yourself from excessive moral upbringing...it doesn't mean you respect/don't respect people. |
As his final year project, a friend did an analysis of branded full cream milk powders against the ones road side retailers sell in packaged plastic bags. Guess what? No nutritional difference. Except the dangers of hygiene. So if you paying for that highly "valued", well packaged, well marketed and branded peak/dano milk, you not getting higher quality nutritional value than what abokis sell in " nylon" bags. Except the comfort of you getting better hygienic powdered milk. |
Yeah we used to call him Ramoni Oba, never knew his actual name was Raymond King. Fond memories and great rivalry with Edward Ansah of the old Leventis United. Sleep on big bro. |
Nice one! And to that I.diot up there...I won't grace your ego with a quote or mention.. But please leave your stupidity behind in 2017. |
Yeah.. Plan on losing belly fats: ticked.. Run a mini marathon ..ticked..improve my finances..ticked Get closer to God... God help me! |
sexybbstar:Lol...just go ahead and make a remix: "something" to "ride"...something to wax Something like my sound.. Sister Kola..you remind me of my jeep! |
You don't have to pray... Serious minded/Developed countries are already planning for life after oil, the ban on petrol cars from 2040 is just the beginning. My advise for El-Rufai, start with your state, I won't say reject your allocation, but use it to diversify economic activities in your state such that allocation from oil revenues become an extra for the welfare of your people. Easier said than done abi? Our lazy a.ssed political class can't just think out of box. |
"I saw you there, I saw you here. Are you twice?" |
IpobExposed:That KANU said he'll crumble Nigeria does not make Wike a saint. Right now..Kanu is not in government, he does not have resources to develop his village, or make any significant difference in the economic or social well being of his followers, rather than his - I wouldn't say senseless- but it seems that way, when there are other civilised way of going about getting independence - agitation. I repeat, Wike has the resources, power and opportunity to make APC voiceless in his State. But our lazy and greedy politicians think the only way yo crush opposition is to incite people. Do your job and seethe masses shun your opponents. |
If this is true, then give this man an award for the most irresponsible statement of the year. Why not you focus on taking your state to greater heights and let the masses decide. |
Lessons learnt: You may be champion in your own field, but NEVER disrespect other people's profession! |
Yes, no one wants anybody dead, but this is absolute nonsensical and misplaced priorities. Reason why politicians will continue to prey on gullible masses. |
My understanding of "forget" is 'don't use what you have forgiven to act or judge the person in your future dealings'. Give the other party an opportunity to start on a clean slate else you'll always be suspicious which will not be healthy for the relationship, be it business, friendship family...etc..that's the "forgetting". But it does not mean you erase the initial act entirely from your memory, learn from it should a recurrence happen. |
Everyone making claims on the story. Half baked journalists talking to every tom dick and harry at beer parlours. You'll expect an intelligent journalist to follow up with getting the mug shot (or at least make effort - to support the story) of the said arrested robber in 2007. Nonsense unintelligent junk journalism!!! |
And what stops the wise and intelligent ones from opening other doors? Not taking it very seriously bro, but if it is just one item behind the door, and once taken it's gone, then the wise one still got the best bargain. Money/knowledge can never buy you happiness. Enjoy your defense. |
Lick the right asses. |
Good points, but there is something called 'Grand-fatherism'... That's one hell of a sure way careers are boosted. |
Nice one. Hard work and perseverance surely pays. Learn from this Nigerian youths! |
Beauty outside .. More "Beasty" inside. Damnnnn! |
Saveasoul:Either way, the girls will flock after you! Why not enjoy both worlds if you can. One the lifespan of a footballer barring injuries is probably 10years. While a musician can remain relevant for more or less depending on how you churn out what people want. Go with your heart kiddo. |
OK. Serious issues...guys on that day if Mopol from Sambissa harrass you...just tell them where you stand... Some people will turn St. Peter and be like "Oga we stand with 2BabaBuhari!" |
naptu2:Mohammed Danjuma was Malam Tanko. Thanks for the memories. |
Together we join..in "Togetherness" we shall all leave!! If it's too good to be true...it is probably too good to be true. Wise up people. |
dfrost:Not only in Nigerian context. Religious organisations worldwide are powerful. You'll agree with me the amount of influence the Catholic have, not only in Rome, but in most nations of the world. Redeem don't have to make noise, but who are the policy makers...? They are you and I, who have religious affiliations, who intend to raise their children in a religious setting. They listen to yearnings of people and can mount pressure to reverse unpopular policies no matter how laudable it is. |
Goes to show how powerful these churches are. |
cuteboy2:Complete abstinence. And I'm not advocating irresponsible sex. Like alcohol have sex responsibly, be faithful and if you can't, use protection. |
And one disadvantage - Increased probability of Prostrate Cancer. Haaaa Yes! it is scientifically proven. The choice is yours. |
Just asking!
God help me!
