plainol:Classics! Nailed it. The unfolding drama, the suspense, the naija factors make democracy in Nigeria the sweetest in the world. I bet the activities over the past 3 days is sweeter than football, sweeter than the best of org.asms! |
Omo ooooo! Area no dey carry last!!!! |
PUSH1:No. I am sure they wouldn't want us to go through that again if they have the interest of the nation at heart. |
PUSH1:No...because the ruler did not want to relinquish power. Mind you, that ruler is still very much alive and active and a political Godfather to the present C-In-C. |
Did I smell June 12? |
anigbajumo: Changiii nonniiii! |
He gave Nigerians true democracy through Jega...making our votes count. This way, he "fought corruption" in our democratic process through the use of "technology" and any party that comes in can only improve and consolidate on this. By this action, if consolidated and perfected, Nigerians will have politicians in their pockets and not the other way round. He is also clearing the monster called BH that was allowed to flourish under his watch. For these I sincerely say well done Jonathan, you gave your all, you impacted in some areas and if you do not return to Aso Rock, good luck in your future endeavours. |
The effect of getting too much inspiration from Terry G in the ministry... Oya,Pastor knack am akpako! |
As a student, the fact that another student is cheating does not justify you not taking a test/exams. Not justifying whatever PDP did - that's if true- but still Buhari should've come out to present himself, his party and his manifestos/plans for Nigerians. It was an opportunity to reach millions of supporters across the length and breadth of Nigeria rather than select few. |
Yobo face your work ooo. Disappointed! Even with your exposure playing football in England...you could descend this low...sharing rice? How gross! I do not want to believe this was donated by Yobo himself...maybe another campaign strategies used by agents. Won't be surprised if he comes out to deny his name being used without his permission. |
Aisha Buhari welcome to the real world where every word, every sneeze, every breath, and body language is scrutinized and given deeper meanings than intended. My 50cents advice...tread carefully, Nigeria is a delicate and sensitive country and each region have their egos to protect. Do not 'misyarn' in the name of campaigns else you lose more prospective voters. Same advice goes for PEJ even though she has 'vast experience' in this area. Leave campaigns for your husbands, all you need is support them with your presence and charity works. |
Not sure what message the OP is trying to pass. But from what we heard in the 80's, Nigeria was not importing petroleum products - correct me if I'm wrong- so international prices of crude oil may not have significant effect on the price of petrol as it is today. Today, if our refineries are operating at optimum levels, I assume the international market prices of crude oil should not impact 'significantly' on petroleum products produced in the country since we do not buy crude oil. Any incoming government should work on fixing/developing our refineries..it shouldn't be as difficult as rocket science. |
Why not let kids be kids. Let them enjoy their childhood. They still have loads of time to put on make up...don't pressure them into growing too fast for their ages. High heels, make-up and sexualising kids is a no no for me. Parents should remember the paedophiles are not strangers, but those people- uncles, brothers, cousins - you trust around your kids. Sexualising your girl child only endanger them to these 'humans of preys'. Say NO to sexualizing girl child! |
The Beetle. Ijapa. And the unique things about it were: 1. The engine's sound - OMG! so sonorous...sings better than Tonto or FFK 2. The engine is at the back and the boot in front - where you put the spare tyre. 3. The really rugged ones..those that have seen better days...have 'Bow-legged' tyres ![]() |
Barbarous Savages!!! |
This can only happen in the jungle. Never seen where supporters rather than give maximum support to their team and encourage them to do better so the opponent can be defeated, will be agitating for the removal of the referee. If your team is good enough, irrespective of the performance of the referee, you should face the opposition squarely and defeat them. All these distractions are making PDP lose more potential voters. |
And who says he's got no job? Ask him and his l I'll es what their occupation is and the response will be 'My father is the Minister of so so', 'I am the brother to Governor XX', etc. One day we'll get it right in this country when being in government positions (I refuse to call it power, because they got no power over me) will not translate to stupendous wealth for them and their cronies at the expense of the ordinary people. I await the era when every penny any Nigerian (especially public servants) earns will be accounted for from the President to the cleaners in ministries. |
Surely you ain't Yoruba. And your half baked Yoruba understanding caused your misinterpretation. E Ku (Die) is pronounced differently from Eku ( Greeting). Just like many other homonyms/heteronyms in Yoruba - e.g. Oko - could be farm, stone, peni's, or number 20 ; depending on the way you pronounce it Another example is Ogun - which could be charm, medicine, will, God of iron, 20, or sweat (oogun). So many Yoruba words derive their meaning depending on the use of your tongue/pronunciation I ain't a grammarian, but I hope I have cured your ignorance - pardon my language. The experts can take it from there. |
Happy Mothering Sunday! |
This isn't what we experienced those days in primary schools. If this were those days...everyone's head will be on the table. I fondly remember whenever a class is noisy - and the teacher wants "peace" - most times after the long break- he will order us all to put our heads on the table and sleep. You dare not raise your head, talk or open your eyes. By the time he is ready to teach (most times it is the closing bell that will wake us) many are already drooling all over the table and it will be an herculean task to wake some. |
So in a nut shell...Officially, Nigerians should expect to pay more for petroleum products few days after election. Win/lose! |
Now this is what I call campaign. Bringing out the transformation of GEJ's government to the fore and not the mudslinging and tantrums being thrown around by the okupes, fayemis and the pant sniffer. Well based on this, let those who enjoy Nigerian airport facilities vote for GEJ according to their experiences. I won't expect |
Eluwilussit:The first headline was 1986. The other two about Fela were 1978. As an avid Fela follower, I remembered vividly coffin for head of state was the album in which Fela yabbed Obasanjo and Yaradua (snr) over the roles they played in the death of mama Funmilayo Ransome Kuti. The others I can't verify but could be 1984-1985 as op stated. Dr. Michael Omolayole was NECA president between 1980-1985. |
Some of those headlines were 1986, one of them as far back as 70s... My God! How low can people get in the name of clueless campaigns? Market your principal and stop playing on peoples' intelligence. For your info... I'm yet to decide. |
Not justifying what the actors/actresses are doing. But even Zeb himself cannot claim he is not privy to what these people go through in the hands of 'Almighty' producers, marketers and senior colleagues before they become famous or is it 'blow'? Well, that is what the system that raised them permitted and you expect such when they feel their levels has been elevated. It is a vicious cycle and many more untalented upcoming ones are looking up to them as well. |
Gone were those days...when we got to go lectures in 25minutes, and you still have to cook beans within that time frame. Solution? Put the beans on a hot-plate...dip in 2 boiling rings and watch your beans cook in 15ninutes Thanking God for those days and blessing our hustles. |
lewis33:And Fanny been sniffing it. Reasons he's got mouth diarrhoea. |
There is no age we buy a worthy cloth that we can't wear it. Her children must be proud of her, they must have shared their experiences in camp with her. At least she will have stories to tell her grand kids. Life is fun, let her enjoy it. Kudos to her! |
Which sane government will wait almost a year to do this. Mind you I am not blaming only the Federal Government, but also the State Government. Our public officers have zero concern for the people! |
Buy a noisy generator...put it near their window...just put it on - even if NEPA is available - and take your family out all night. When you come back around 12am, play some TerryG songs- Free madness will be cool- just put it on repeat, place all speakers near your windows, make sure your kids have headphones on and send them to bed. If the whole neighbourhood come to knock on your door, just ignore for that night. Option B Alternatively...you can play the music while your generator is on all through the night. You and your family won't be home that night till next morning...you'll be in one cosy hotel enjoying life, while they keep making their noise over/under Terry G's "free madness". I bet she will stuff her mouth with throw pillows when "doing it". |
