To be frank i have been disillusioned by the West and i don't subscribe to any other (too much deception)..

pappilo: How do the west decide who they support? Until I can work that out, I will remain confused. Why fight against Al Qaeda in Mali but support Al Qaeda in Syria and Libya? Why do they support 'people' who fight for their 'rights' with guns in Syria but oppose those fighting for their 'rights' with guns in Mali? Okay I get it; Mali is a 'democracy' but wait, the west didnt support people fighting for their rights in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia which are absolute monarchies (read dictatorship). Okay I am confused again.

The west don't give a toss about democracy and will only protect their interests. That is why they are antagonistic towards comrade Chavez and Ahmedinijad who were democratically elected in free and fair elections in Venezuela and Iran but are bed fellows with oppressive dictators in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.

On a serious note, 2015 promises to be interesting. With the current crop of aspirants it seems fate has tied our hands to choose between a controversial Northern Hardliner (Buhari) and serving president who has left most of us disillusioned (Jonathan).

i believe it helps in reducing racial tension. A hand shake between two races says alot. Just imaging a child growing up to viewing that, inter-racial interaction becomes normal to him/her.

Having studied sociology of race and ethnic relations, i to a large extent understand the impact of such symbols to both manufactures and consumers.

What if the new HIV drug had on its packet two black couples? I am sure no African would care as to where it was manufactured, we would all read meanings to it. But if a white and a black couple where displayed it sends a different message. I ain't i persimist, i am a social analyst. Pardon me if i say things as they are.

dude i said "components" not "phones". Its my observation and i don't expect everyone to subscribe to it. I feel a black and white hand shaking hands will sought of help to influence the consumers positively and possibly even reduce racism.

OMO as observed by me uses different models (children) for different countries. As noticed by you, Nigeria black kids , Ghana same, while for south Africa a combination of both white and black races. Nokia is a world brand targeting a diverse customer base and their slogan is "connecting people" which is placed right below the hands, so that begs the question. Which people? Obviously a heterogeneous population.

i agree this schools aren't the same, not in facilities or opportunities but we should make the mistake of limiting the quality of graduates to the reputation of the Schools. Great men also come from "small" places.

hmmmmm!!! This is a hard pill to swallow, to think Nigeria is assumed to be a prayer active nation, I guess we are either missing something important in our prayers or this is one phase we MUST pass through.

Nigeria is the most populous nation in Africa and is one of the most populous in the world, rich in natural resources. This facts makes it irrational to think Nigeria would not be dragged into WW3 if and when it strikes, it would not be the case of sitting on the fence or hiding under a non-aligned movement.
There is NOTHING good about war hence we should do our best to avoid it.
