PAGAN 9JA:while Ahmadinajad is a missile making dude? Lol for international politics o. To be frank i have been disillusioned by the West and i don't subscribe to any other (too much deception).. |
pappilo: How do the west decide who they support? Until I can work that out, I will remain confused. Why fight against Al Qaeda in Mali but support Al Qaeda in Syria and Libya? Why do they support 'people' who fight for their 'rights' with guns in Syria but oppose those fighting for their 'rights' with guns in Mali? Okay I get it; Mali is a 'democracy' but wait, the west didnt support people fighting for their rights in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia which are absolute monarchies (read dictatorship). Okay I am confused again.chavez and Ahmadinajad? Come on, its a crime against humanity to compare this two icons. Free and fair election in Iran? Please paste your source. Venezuela doesn't seem oppressive to moi. |
Nigeria the land of my "fathers" the land of brave men and warriors. Its shameful what has happened to us, our leaders fell asleep while their opponents worked and now we reap the harvest of laziness. RUSSIA has been known to have poor human right records. We shouldn't forget what Russia did to Georgia a few years back and what USA did to Iraq, almost anything can happen again. All they need is a flimsy excuse. |
delkuf: So u still watch d super chicken matchhow would we do na. After the Match against Catalonia some of us had hope but NOW nothing is certain. |
The Super eagles just seem to let us down when you believe they can't fail. Chai!! Abeg talk your own. |
ciphoenix: too bad there's no customization for that. Droids support custom welcome screensyeah! But Tech knows no limit. |
Damon03: Where is the name calling. U're accusing me of something that's not there just like u're accusing Nokia, good luck with that. And pls stop calling me dude. Thanksokay Damon! Its noted. |
All he needs to win is simply to step down and become Buhari's vice, nature or is it his luck will do the rest. Lol. On a serious note, 2015 promises to be interesting. With the current crop of aspirants it seems fate has tied our hands to choose between a controversial Northern Hardliner (Buhari) and serving president who has left most of us disillusioned (Jonathan). Time would tell. |
texazzpete: Paranoid people like you will never have any fun when they travel overseas because you'll see racism in everything.Paranoid? Come on! If you don't like my post i don't hold that against you but that shouldn't warrant name calling. Jesus never discriminated against anyone, not even on the account of race, further more he was most certainly light skinned, i don't think any of the men of God subscribe to the believe the Devil looks like them. LBVS You write as if racism doesn't exist. It does and if i see it then its because its there. |
Damon03: dude?? Really?? DUDE??i believe it helps in reducing racial tension. A hand shake between two races says alot. Just imaging a child growing up to viewing that, inter-racial interaction becomes normal to him/her. |
ciphoenix: maybe we should have 9 hands shaking each otherlol! 9 hands? You go fear na. PERSONALLY I RECOMMEND THAT NOKIA MAKES ALL THE RACES AVAILABLE FOR THE CONSUMER TO SET THE RACE OF HIS CHOICE IN HIS PHONE. KIND OF LIKE A SCREEN SAVER. |
Damon03: ^ u are not saying things as they are, u are saying it as viewed from the distorted glasses of your own paranoia. Quit the pity party, racism is not down to black and white, the Germans don't see the French as same race with them not to talk of Americans and Chinese, if all races are to be included then we'll have American, European, African, and Asian hands. U are a racist for thinking"connecting people" can not be represented with any race! Again I say stop feeling marginalised.what's up with the name calling? "Connecting people" should be represented by a symbol that depicts diversity and not homogeneity. PITY PARTY? Dude this started as an observation and not as you say a "pity party". I am not feeling marginalized and neither am i fishing for sympathy. If you read my earlier response you'll notice other i mentioned other races. |
Having studied sociology of race and ethnic relations, i to a large extent understand the impact of such symbols to both manufactures and consumers. Think for a minute. What if the new HIV drug had on its packet two black couples? I am sure no African would care as to where it was manufactured, we would all read meanings to it. But if a white and a black couple where displayed it sends a different message. I ain't i persimist, i am a social analyst. Pardon me if i say things as they are. |
Damon03: U get problem ooo. pple like u read negative meaning to everything, the phone is made by a Finnish company, they are whites, are u now saying they should include blacks in everything?? Stop playing the victim abeg. do some positive thinking too. I've neva used or seen a Nokia phone made in SouthAfrica which model is that, enlighten me ooo. Like someone said if u wanna see black hands go make ur own phone, until then keep knacking ur head for walldude i said "components" not "phones". Its my observation and i don't expect everyone to subscribe to it. I feel a black and white hand shaking hands will sought of help to influence the consumers positively and possibly even reduce racism. |
timbros: So oyinbo no fit use OMO? Why dont they use white 'pikins' to attract oyinbo to use OMO? Abi OMO no want their product to be world brand?OMO as observed by me uses different models (children) for different countries. As noticed by you, Nigeria black kids , Ghana same, while for south Africa a combination of both white and black races. Check out this link for the OMO product for south Africa (note south Africa has a mixture of whites and blacks). http://www.unilever.co.za/Images/Omo_Multi_450x450_tcm84-293979.gif |
timbros: OP, why are only black 'pikins' used for OMO detergent ads?thats because OMO is for a Black market. Nokia is a world brand targeting a diverse customer base and their slogan is "connecting people" which is placed right below the hands, so that begs the question. Which people? Obviously a heterogeneous population. |
ciphoenix: should they then make multiple hands?wasn't actually thinking along that line though it seems like a good idea. The phones are for the world and not just one race, so it seems fair representing various races. |
@op if i was given a penny for each time a lady has asked the question "why are some men heartless?" i would be richer than my friend Bill. Quit asking and adapt. I am sure you already know the best course of action to take. The great thing about falling in love is, there is a hard floor to wake us up when we finally hit ground. When you do, don't be too scared to fall again. |
guys! This phone aren't made by caucasian whites (europeans) alone, Nokia is also made by Chinese, Koreans, Indians and components made in south Africa. So not just one race should be represented. |
outrage: Make your own and put black hands till then, knack your head for wall.lol, na observation o *cracks the wall, with a 3310* |
Am i the only one who has noticed this? All the phones produced by Nokia has white hands in the startup display, that seems a bit like racism to me. I am not trying to stair any trouble, its just weird. I'll love to see some black hands. |
Many Nigerian footballers have come and gone, some celebrated more than others. Then this crazy thought struck me. Imagine this scenario and decide who you trust most: world cup (2014) semi-final Nigeria 1 vs Brazil 2 (89:59)+1 Ike Uche receives a pass from Mikel and his on the run for a counter-attack, 3 defenders spread round the 18, ike beats one, the Brazilian keeper is out of his line, an opening shows up, Ike goes for a shot......... ......... .... But before he is able to take it, he is brought down by a Brazilian defender. Ref blows and reaches for his pocket about giving Ike a yellow for diving.... He is called by the linesman and he awards a penalty. Mind you this this last play of the game if we lose, so choose one player each for the current and past generation of Nigerian soccer stars, you believe has the B A LLs /nerves to score and send us into extra time.... |
redsquare: You are nothing but a babboon. So Oxford and Harvard are now in the same league as your KSU and some other glorified secondary schools you have in Nigeria? Just because they have the tag 'university'. If all degree-awarding institutions are the same, why are your countrymen leaving Nigeria in droves to acquire degrees from US,UK and recently Ghana? U be real mumu. Anuofia.i agree this schools aren't the same, not in facilities or opportunities but we should make the mistake of limiting the quality of graduates to the reputation of the Schools. Great men also come from "small" places. |
so not my style but Enough with the criticisms! I belive they've earned the right to celebrate as they wish. When you graduate you are free to do as you wish, even climb OLUMO rock and D I V E with the style of your choice.. Its their time don't ruin it for them. |
back2sender: Is dis is a schoool?Glorified secondary school mstheweeeeeeeeeeeee. there are skools and there are schoolswhy do i get the feeling KSU didn't offer you admission? Abi dem reject you? Lol |
now everybody's representing Naija, once we draw or lose our opening match at AFCON they'll switch sides and start swearing at both coach and players. Being a fan goes beyond good times alone, but all bad times too. Proudly Naija. |
!!!THANKS FOR THE UPDATE GUYS!!! |
hmmmmm!!! This is a hard pill to swallow, to think Nigeria is assumed to be a prayer active nation, I guess we are either missing something important in our prayers or this is one phase we MUST pass through. GOD BLESS NIGERIA. |
from the hilltop i watch you, walking, smiling with eloquent radiance, you waving and I! I too helpless to move, my arms frozen solid as i watch, bearing the weight of four full moons, the further you go, the longer the minutes last, minutes become hours, hours become days, days become weeks, i can't miss you, missing is too hard, i can't forget you, my mind is filled with memories of you, i can't think of your arrival, your arrival leaves me with memories of your last departure, once again I am left to wait, time is unforgiving, distance its faithful ally, still i wouldn't have it any other way, your absence reveals your importance |
Nigeria is the most populous nation in Africa and is one of the most populous in the world, rich in natural resources. This facts makes it irrational to think Nigeria would not be dragged into WW3 if and when it strikes, it would not be the case of sitting on the fence or hiding under a non-aligned movement. There is NOTHING good about war hence we should do our best to avoid it. |
