PoliticsRe: NJC Advises Buhari To Retire Walter Onnoghen Compulsorily Over $1.7m Cash by Ayed44: 12:29pm On Apr 04, 2019

There was a country indeed! Why would any sane Nigerian support this corrupt bastard?
All those blood money in his account should be confiscated to the last kobo.
Let the so called corrupt bastard be prosecuted and jailed. No more media trial. And we say no to giving a soft landing to a corrupt bastard. Only a corrupt bastard will give another corrupt bastard a soft landing. Take him to court.

mapet:
You are mixing two things together. The EFCC investigation and allegations are different from what is @CCB. The Minister of Justice is championing the one @CCB.

The EFCC sent its report to NJC. The report showed that;

1. Onnoghen had over a $1m which was not declared
2. That Joe Agi, a lawyer who had had cases before Onnoghen, made $$$ payments into Onnoghen account and the reasons could not be defended.

The NJC gave Onnoghen the freedom to defend/explain these. That he could not..........

So what makes it incontrovertible is that the defense could not defend/puncture the evidence against them.....simply put "He was nabbed red-handed"
Let the EFCC also charge Onnoghen to court and let the court decides his fate. Enough of media trial.
Also, if the NJC found Onnoghen culpable, let the NJC recommends his prosecution rather than working out soft landing d for him. Giving a corrupt person a soft landing is also corruption and criminal.

Clever by half, having billion dollar in the account is not the problem, the problem becomes what's the source of the billion in your account. The problem becomes why did the ex CJN refuse to declare such money in his account. Osinbajo didn't hide the money in his account when he became the vp. The problem we are having in the country is majorly from people like you. You are here defending the Ex CJN with million of undeclared dollar in his account of which what you will eat this money is yet to be known to you. Lazy youth, to you Osinbajo was a mere commissioner. Perhaps. you didn't know Osinbajo was a senior Lecturer at University of Lagos for many years, Lazy youth, you didn't know Osinbajo was a practicing lawyer for many years which earned him the SAN. PMB was right to refer to you as Lazy youth
These are the issues Onnoghen is facing at the CCT. Let the CCT conclude and decide Onnoghen's culpability or otherwise.
The NJC's recommendations are too late, too little and useless. Since the matter is already in the court, let the NJC keep quite and allow the court to convict or acquit Onnoghen. After that we can now talk about the next thing to do.

Don't get it wrong, they are not counting votes tomorrow. The votes have all ready counted and announced at the polling units on March 9, 2019. They only want to collate (add) all the results announced at the various polling units. Party agents at each polling unit have the results(form EC8A) with them. No need of heating up the polity unnecessarily.

when I heard he was in that hotel with the PDP caucus, I thought it was just a rumor, I had to hit that hotel myself, as it is very close to my house, behold they denied us access, that the hotel has been booked for a whole day, we had to wait until they started coming out one after the other.
This info was already at hand even before the election.

Everything has was pre planned.
Is it true that Omo-Agege attended a meeting with PDP chieftains in an hotel?

I know.. But since Magnus Ibe won the case why wasn't his primaries recognized?
INEC did not accept candidates' list from both Amaechi faction and Abe faction, as such APC did not participate in the elections in Rivers state. But in Delta state. APC participated, but with wrong candidates. All INEC will do in Delta now is to transfer APC mandates to the right candidates.

Was that the case in Rivers state? The runners up carries the day because inec can't observe two different primaries from one party so I doubt the the other factions when have candidates

Truth.
Cantonese:
Ogboru and Omo Agege ought to have remained with the labour party which gave Omo Agege the senatorial seat. The courts have already told us that some of these jugdements should serve as lessons to the politicians whose excesses must be contained. The two men tried to hijack the party in Delta state and their failed attempt cost APC a lot of votes in Delta state.

Omo Agege I am sure has his next move in the 9th senate but as it stands he will not set his foot in the hallowed chamber when his tenure expires. His plans against Saraki have failed. Just like Akpabio and Saraki he will stay back at home and wait until 2023. Meanwhile his name now will be "had I known".

The Court of Appeal, sitting in Benin, the Edo State capital, has struck out appeals by Senator Ovie Omo-Agege and Rev. Francis Waive, seeking to challenge the judgement of the Federal High Court, Asaba, which nullified their elections.

Recalls that Senator Omo-Agege and Rev. Waive emerged as the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2019 general elections from the Prophet Jones Erue-led faction of the party.

However, Justice Toyin Adegoke of Asaba Federal High Court, in her ruling in the case filed by the factional chairman of APC in Delta, Cyril Ogodo, in suit number FA/ASA/CS/76/2018 declared as null, void and of no effect any and every action purportedly taken, initiated or carried out by Erue, as chairman of APC in the state.

The court declared the plaintiff, Ogodo, as the authentic chairman of the main opposition party in the state.

Dissatisfied, Senator Omo-Agege and Rev. Waive filed an appeal against the ruling.

However, in the Friday ruling, the Appeal Court dismissed their applications against the judgment for lack of merit and awarded a fine N300,000 each against the applicants.

Some people are naively banking on Buhari to win 2023 presidency. Lol.

Buhari only believes in himself and himself only. Buhari can never stake his name/ reputation to campaign for anybody. You need to check his antecedents since he joined partisan politics in 2000. Buhari can only campaign for himself, that's all. Little wonder many APC governors were complaining that Buhari did not campaign for them after he has secured his own victory.
