What was his contribution to Buhari's winning the Presidential election in 2015 and even in 2019? The fact that you did not see Mamman Days at the forefront during the campaigns does not mean he did not contribute to the success of the election. middlebelter: If Nigeria will be free from Fulanis control, the two tribes must sincerely reconcile, put together a workable relationship, enlighten Thier youths to stop social media attack on each other then face the Fulanis. As per FFK, remember, his political pedigree is of no consequence in Yorubaland, only the leadership of two tribe can do this. The likes of Woke Soyinka, OBJ, Prof Ben Akabueze,Jim Nwobodo,Former Commenwealyh Scribe,,Ooni and Alaafin, The Obi of Onitsha, Champion Publisher, etc. Will start with reconciliation meeting, silently set agenda and politically set to dismantle the military structure put in place by the likes of Abacha and IBB to protvect the Fulanis and invade the South. The Igbos and Yorubas can never unite again. Mark my words. If they make any attempt at uniting, the Fulanis will frustrate such move. In 2023, the Fulanis would keep the PDP ticket and they will give APC ticket to either Yoruba or Igbo. That is what they will use to destroy the remaining little unity between the Igbos and Yorubas. The best opportunity for the south to unite and make a statement in the Nigerian political space was 2015 but they blew it. Pre- 2015, the entire northern political elite ( both APC and PDP) united behind a northern candidate Buhari, irrespective of Buhari's obvious incompetence. I expected the southerners to do same and unite behind a southern candidate, but they messed up. The rest is now history. |

Politics › Re: Ganduje: Ban Fulani Migration To The South Now!!! by Ayed44: 3:14pm On Jul 28, 2019 |
cokerlino: Sokoto – Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State, says states, where Fulani are not indigenes will not be required to implement the RUGA settlement initiative.
Ganduje made the clarification shortly after attending the wedding ceremony of the son of Sen. Kabiru Gaya, Ibrahim Khalil in Sokoto on Saturday. The governor told newsmen that the RUGA settlement initiative was for states who could cater for the Fulanis, and was targeted at making herdsmanship a socio-economic investment, not a socio-cultural issue. “So States where indigenes are not Fulani cannot be asked to implement RUGA, as such it is for states that can cater for the Fulanis and wish to improve their herdsmanship. “That is why we are developing RUGA in Kano state, so that Fulani people can be in one place and enjoy all the social services like other people of the state. “The type of herdsmanship the Fulanis are doing now will be improved, so that they can produce more cows, more milk and ensure more economic prosperity to themselves,” Ganduje said.
The governor, however, said the best way to improve the living standard of Fulani people was by banning their seasonal migration to the central and southern parts of Nigeria. “No better way to improve their lives if you don’t prevent their migration from the north to the central and southern parts of Nigeria.
“Fulani migration should be banned otherwise they would continue to suffer and the security challenges in the country would continue to exist,” he added.
https://www.vanguardngr.com/2019/07/fulanis-migration-to-southern-central-nigeria-should-be-banned-otherwise-ganduje/ The Federal government says RUGA is not meant for only Fulanis, but Ganduje is here saying RUGA is for Fulanis. Confusion everywhere. |

Education was number one achievement of Aregbesola during his regime. Aregbesola built first class classrooms and he also introduced opon imon in both primary and secondary schools .Aregbesola was a pioneer of school feeding program.
Love him or hate him Aregbesola achievement in education sector in osun state can't be overlook. Education is more than building gigantic structures as classrooms. If u like build skyscrapers as classrooms, it will not improve the quality of education. |

Buckubuck: All dis ur story, what i'm telling you is that in terms of monarchy, Ooni is not superior to Alaafin. Moses is the deliverer of Israel, but till today, the lineage of David (a King) is recognized as the royal head of Israel. In cultural or spiritual matters, Moses will come first. But in political matters, David will be known. There is no question of superiority here. Both serve different purpose. If you can understand Ooni and Alaafin from that perspective, you'll be the better for it. Just like that other guy said; even the present Ooni and Alaafin have closed rank. It may be that he has the support of the Ooni in writing this letter. Even the Ooni himself referred to him as the foremost king during his visit to his palace in the early days of his reign so all this ur argument no go anywhere. This is an unnecessary argument. No matter how popular or rich or powerful or influential a son may become, he can never be said to be older than his father. Ooni's throne predates Alaafin's throne. |

Politics › Re: If You Hate Fulanis, Why Do You Chop Their Meat? by Ayed44: 8:43am On Jul 18, 2019 |
There is a big difference between eating cow meat and eating Fulani meat. Eating Fulani meat means eating human flesh.
As for the Fulani herdsmen, let them keep their cattle in the north. Whenever we want to eat cow meat we will buy cattle from the north with our money and bring it down south to slaughter.
If need be, we can as well import cow meat from abroad just like frozen foods.
All we need in the south here is peace. Peace is more important than eating cow meat. |

ekestic1976: In the early hours of 15th January 1966, soldiers led by Majors mostly of Igbo extraction led a mutiny that resulted in the murder of senior Northern and Western army officers and the Northern civilian Prime Minister in Lagos and Northern Premier in Kaduna.
The party of rebels also visited death on the Premier of the Western region, Samuel Akintola. The mutinous band from the West and Lagos then made their way to Enugu and suddenly lost their thirst for blood upon entry to their tribal enclave, choosing instead to hold discussions with the Eastern Premier - a fellow tribesman.
In the company of the mutinous band that visited Akintola was Remi Fani-Kayode, deputy Western Premier and father to the loquacious FFK. He it was who called on Akintola to surrender to the soldiers. Akintola not having any trust for him or the soldiers, fired from inside the house injuring the leader of the mutinous band. Akintola would eventually surrender and was summarily executed, but is on record as the only victim of that coup who fought back and even drew blood.
Remi Fani-Kayode was spared and later ran away to England with his family. His boss, Akintola, drew breath no more.
Femi Fani-Kayode, Nigerians need you to explain the role your father played in the successful murder of Akintola.
While at it, also explain the role you know Buhari played in the retaliatory coup of July 1966 or the progroms that followed. If you have no factual claims but only hope to whip up tribal sentiments, then GMB's disregard of your rantings is well deserved. Are u ok? A prominent Yoruba daughter just got murdered in cold blood and u are talking about 1966 coup. Are u ok? Are u mad? Are u trying to divert out attention from the murder? |

Sir, I appreciate the fact that you have come out to say 'something'. However, what is your own proposed SOLUTION to the clashes? The best solution is private ranching. That's is the best global practice. Cattle rearing remains a private business. Save for a hidden agenda, the government has no business seizing people's land and taxpayers' money to set up private businesses for individuals. I just purchased some plots of land for my piggery farming. The government should encourage herdsmen to do same. |
