PoliticsRe: Zamfara: Why They May Be A Rerun Election. by Ayed44: 6:13pm On May 24, 2019
NgeneUkwenu:
That APC has been disqualified by the Supreme court, and subsequently voided their votes, is no longer a news.

However, the Supreme court in passing their Judgement was being careful and vigilant not to create another constitutional crisis, hence the caveat " the second highest scoring party which met the Constitutional requirements should be sworn in as elected.
NJ
Now, which party came second?- PDP

Did the PDP meet the constructional requirements, for instance in the Governorship election?

Then, let's see the scores of PDP and APC as regards the Zamfara Governorship Election:

The apex court ordered that runner-up candidate be sworn in if he fulfils the constitutional requirement of getting one quarter of the total votes cast in at least 2/3 of LGs of d state.

Here is the analysis:

Total votes cast: 810,782
APC: 534,541 votes
PDP: 189,452 votes

Now if you remove the Voided Votes which now include that of the APC...You are now left with 189,452 votes of the PDP and about 10,000 combined votes of the "also ran" parties which will total about 200,000 votes.

From the above analysis, it is very clear that void votes are way higher than valid votes, which a winner CANNOT be Validly Returned.

Only Option before the INEC: order a rerun of the entire election, which must exclude APC ( Since the window for primaries had since closed).

Option before APC: Adopt one of the "also ran parties" put the picture of Buhari on the banners, and let their candidates be the candidates of the APC.

End!..

lalasticlala Mynd44...

Let the legal minds interact here.
Please don't drag this issue too far, for the sake of ur health.

Voided votes are different from cancelled votes. U cannot conduct rerun because of voided votes.
PoliticsBREAKING: Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa Steps Down From Presidential Election Petiti by Ayed44(op): 6:01pm On May 22, 2019
Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa has recused herself from the Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja.

The People's democratic party had asked Justice Bulkachuwa to recuse herself because she is married to a senator-elect of the All Progressives Congress.

Counsel to Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the PDP, Livy Ozuokwu asked the Chairman of the tribunal to recuse herself on the grounds that she will be biased in the case.

On Wednesday, Justice Bulkachuwa recused herself after a prolonged sitting.

More to come.

PoliticsRe: Cooking Gas Consumers Will No Longer Own Cylinders – FG by Ayed44: 12:11pm On May 22, 2019
Some people here are already comparing this policy with coca cola soft drinks where the customer owns the content only...

Does it mean under this new LPG policy, somebody will just walk into a gas filling station empty handed and they will just gift him a gas cylinder? Somebody should help me so I can understand.

Oblongata:
This is a great development. Many of us had been waiting for this day in Nigeria.

The use of cannisterS or 'cylinders' as fondly called in Nigeria is archaic as well as barbaric in the least.

Ordinarily, this implies that the government will supply domestic gas through pipelines and other means in which a house owner can access it by being connected. Payment for subscription can be subsequently made online.

All these are already in place decades ago in advanced countries.

Next in line should be underground cables for power distribution.

God bless Nigeria!
This dude is a comedian.

PoliticsRe: Buhari Won Atiku’s Ward With Votes From Cameroonians – Femi Falana by Ayed44: 10:53am On May 06, 2019
Nig4Greatness:
Though I don't buy into this Atiku is not from Nigeria argument but Falana is entirely wrong in this case.
The argument here is that Atiku was born when his village was still under Cameroon and such he was born a Cameroonian and the Nigeria law says only Nigerian born citizens can vie for the president of Nigeria as I understand it.
Those of his wards Falana was talking about could have been born in Nigeria aftermath of referendum and so have the legal right to vote and be voted for as a Nigerian.
Again,no laws say non son of the soil can not vote in an election only that they cannot be voted for as it is practised in other countries. How some of these lawyers got their SAN is still beyond me.
Atiku village was never part of Cameroon. Atiku village and the entire Sardauna province were part of the northern Cameroon and northern Cameroon was never part of the country called Cameroon.

As at the time of the plebiscite, northern Cameroon was not under any country. It was a UN territory entrusted to Britain. After Nigeria's independence, they decided to join Nigeria. So Atiku village, Jada, has no link with the country called Cameroon.

MobilityExpress:
Buhari has won this case already. The evidence of Atiku's Cameroonian nationality is too strong. Kanu was right on this after all, same as Obasanjo who earlier said in his book that Atiku's lineage (as a Nigerian) was shadowy. He is not a Nigerian by birth or by parental origin. What a big blow to PDP hopes. Water don pass garri grin
Atiku is not a Cameroonian. Atiku was born in Jada and Jada had never been part of Republic of Cameroon.

wifeesnatcher:
Lemme laugh small cheesy cheesy cheesy

I want to laugh again grin grin grin

I have said it before that Tinubu is not even daft to think he would run for president in 2023 or forever. Any attempt for Tinubu to force himself on APC NWC in 2023 would spell doom for APC. North religion supremacy won't give room for Tinubu dead ambition. Muslim/Muslim ticket. North would not allow a northerner Christian to represent them at national level

But let me quickly correct the miyetti Allah that power would returned to the North, yea it would if Tinubu foolishly run for presidency but if north principalities nominate another northeners for APC candidate then they've unanimously unite all southerners because the way people would desert APC it would be worse than how they'll abandoned PDP for good luck

Power is coming back to south in 2023 except Tinubu insist on running under APC which would pave way for PDP victory at the poll
You got it wrong. The North does not necessarily rely solely on APC to produce a northern president in 2023. They can achieve their 2023 ambition through either APC or PDP.
This is what will happen in 2023, the north will give the APC presidential ticket to the southwest and the north will retain the PDP ticket. Giving the APC ticket to the southwest in 2023 will further create a bigger division between the southwest and the rest of the south, and this what the north needs to retain the power through the PDP in 2023.
PoliticsRe: Abdullahi Bodejo: Tinubu Won’t Be President Of Nigeria by Ayed44: 11:49am On Apr 27, 2019
ChristianNorth:
The North is truly becoming arrogant forgetting that in a free and fair election between the North and a united south, they don't stand a chance.

They are playing with fire, because should the South unite and get back power, they will never smell it again but NC would be serving their turns.

All we need to trash this people for good is a United South with a NC Vice Presidency with the agreement to rotate the presidency back to NC.

But as for 2023, the North should bear it in mind that without the SE/SS, Northern presidency cannot happen.

All we need to stop that is by zoning PDP ticket to the South and then trust Tinubu to hold down APC ticket for a Southern grab.

If not that the Yorubas sees every political win as a win over SE, we should be supporting Gbaja for Speakership and NC for Deputy Speaker and them supporting OUK for the DSP.

Omo-Agege is a political liability to the Southern 2023 ambition. He can't project his powers outside his Urhobo tribe and he can't rally Southern unity across divides.

I supported a Northern ticket in 2023, but those fools are becoming too arrogant.
Stop talking about a united South. There can never be a united South again in Nigeria. The south missed the opportunity to form a united South in 2015.
As it is today, the North has cleverly mastered the game of divide and rule, and the south has foolishly played into the hands of the North.

PoliticsWhy APC Has Failed – Akpabio by Ayed44(op): 10:14am On Apr 24, 2019
The Senate Minority Leader, Senator Godswill Akpabio has said that the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led Federal Government, has failed to deliver in the last two years because they lacked experience and technical-know-how to administer the country.

Akpabio stated this while speaking to This Day in Abuja.

Apparently mocking APC leaders, the former Governor of Akwa Ibom State said: “If it is not Panadol, it can’t be the same as Panadol. I believed that if it were PDP–between 2015 and 2017, we would have made more significant progress.

“A lot of plans have been outlined but, not much has actually been seen in terms of progress and delivering of campaign promises; most of the campaign promises have actually not been met.

“But from a politician’s point of views, I am just imagining that probably, we could have handled the recession better, if it were PDP and that is how I looked at it.”

Explaining why APC failed to fulfil its campaign promises, Akpabio accused the ruling party of lacking focus and experience.

“But they can’t say that; before you go into government you must do a critical analysis of what you intend to do. You can’t go and promise free education when you are not sure of whether you are ready.

“Before you make promises to the people you must have done not just the detailed analysis of the economic situation of the government, but a review of the economic policies of the government.

“So, if they say they underestimated the mess created or left behind by the PDP that means they, on their own part, were not prepared for governance”‎, he said.

PoliticsRe: Coalition Minority Tribes To Atiku: Return To Cameroon Within 21 Days, Apologise by Ayed44: 2:04pm On Apr 16, 2019
Stupid people everywhere.

If Atiku must return to Cameroon, the following steps must be taken:

1. The 1961 plebiscite that made the defunt northern Cameron a part of Nigeria must be first abolished.

2. All the territories that made up the defunt northern Cameroon, including the Sardauna province, must be returned to the republic of Cameroon.

3. All the people born in the territories now known as the defunt northern Cameroon, and their offsprings must be made to return to Cameroon.

After all these, we can now ask Atiku to go to Cameroon with his kinsmen.
PoliticsWhy APC Will Not Zone Presidency To Southwest In 2023 - Ex-minister by Ayed44(op): 10:33am On Apr 15, 2019
Chief Ebenezer Babatope, a former minister of transport, has claimed that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) will still field another northerner in the 2013 presidential election which is four years away.

Daily Independent reports that Babatope said on Sunday, April 14, the south-west zone of APC would be fooling itself if it believed the party’s national leadership would zone the presidency to the region in 2023.

He said the north would find it difficult to relinquish power after the end of the Muhammadu Buhari presidency in 2023.

Babatope, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s Board of Trustees (BoT), said the northern region would not agree to rotation of the presidency when President Buhari completes his tenure in 2023

He said: “Whatever happens inside the APC is their headache. Some of our brothers in the southwest have been deceiving themselves that somebody from the southwest will be nominated by their party for the 2023 presidential election.

“But they are merely deceiving themselves because the north will not let go easily and, as such, they will not allow the southwest to field a candidate”.

There are speculations that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, former governor of Lagos state, and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo are being tipped to succeed President Buhari in 2023.
