HOLLASLYD: i've used different android devices and has rooted and stretched them to the limit and has never bricked. i thread with backups and caution.
ur device can't crash while rooted unless u made it crash even bricking.
i will tutor on what no to do with root and the benefits later

I made a backup of my stock ROM using the romdump. how can one make a zip update from the romdump.

but how did the ram become 116mb, without d phone panel beIng changed. two things comes to my mind, there's s possibility that the panel for the 2 versions are the same but one of the version's memory was pegged; or the stock is different are different

I read thru brainrex backup method using rom dump. rom backup came out as image files( .img ). My question is how does one use stock recovery to restore the phone back to it working state assuming I got stocked at booting.

how did u do a backup up for ur fone. considering the stock recovery doesn't have backup option. I tried online android backup and app2zip, but both are creating backup for CWM Recovery.

just give me the highlights.

warning to all, factory reset does not return system deleted apps by root users. onless u do a system restore.

to boot into recovery
1. calm down
2. PRESS and HOLD the volume up button only
3. While still holding the volume up, power on the phone.
4. keep ur hold on the volume up and power buttons only till u boot to recovery

I'm looking forward to making a nandroid backup and installing CWM Recovery

1. both apps are installed on internal memory
2. USB debugging is enabled
3. restart ur phone and retry

I root my sis t3 and my n3 already. everything worked fine, but i created a problem for myself, the two phones are half dead. i removed the stock launcher of the phones by deleting from the systems folder. i then installed a new launher on my n3, it worked fine. I somehow put my phone in recovery and i wanted to reboot but the phone but it instead erase cache and formated the partion before rebooting.
So my phone and sis phone is stocked at bootanimation. but the things call does enter and i can pick my calls but can't assess my menu and app rack.

i created a launher system update.zip for the stock recovery but i say its not digitally sign. pls can u help me created a update.zip from ur n3 that can atleast help me assess my home app rack.

or any other method.

I notice my n3 doesn't support more than 2 touches unlike t1. is it the same on u guys phone

The n3 is a very good phone. another bug i found on my phone is that, the screen doesn't go off during calls when placed close to the ear like other android or tecno android, though it as light sensor.

My Sonyericsson xperia x10 mini pro and tecno T1 synchronizes my facebook contacts to my phone contacts, but n3 doesn't.

I've used the T1 and n3 both are good phones but have been unable to root the two, there firmware security is too tight.
