That bounce is much and your sender IP and reputation would be affected once u reach a certain amount. You just have to be careful because some emails expires and are bought by ISP for spam trap. Once you send to those emails your reputations will sink(including your email) . So try to scrutinize your emails before you send ,remember your IP on the long run .Don't get blacklisted.

I wish to let it go for that $150 but how do I reply him without putting him off?
Also should I change my BIN to $150 so he can just click and buy or I leave it at $200 and tell him to submit an offer of $150?

I would combine both sample response given above , remove the 24hr and use the today so u don't sound pushy. And next time make sure u completely cover the name n details well because from your post I already know d name u talking about . congrats

You should have a questionnaire that you send for him to fill , then from there you know what he wants and charge him according to his answer .

I also have a big question for domainers. How much do you reinvest into your domain business if you're into it full time?

I sat down and was doing my calculation. I was investing 30% back into the business while the other 70% for Tithe (10%) and upkeep.

Yesterday, I realized that 30% (if I was able to make less than 4m) will lead to a big loss at the end of the year.

Here is my breakdown:

Starting with 3m

3000000 - 20% domain (600,000) =2,400,000
2,400,000 - 10% Tithe (300000) = 2,100,000
2,100,000 - house rent (300000) =1,800,000
1,800,000 - miscellaneous (300,000) = 1,500,000
1,500,000 - cloth (150,000) = 1,350,000
1,350,000 - general expense at 100k per month (1,200,000) = 150,000


So, I'm still left with 150,000 (just 150,000)

And that 150,000 can still go for other unbudgetted expenses.

What's your say on this?

Nice calculation guide but the truth is that domaining is not "a get high profit margin" biz every year after expenses , some years can b smooth while some might be rough .
To me I sat and analyzed that domaining might not be a longtime Hustle for bigger funds especially just only selling names without adding value to it . we just have to start adding values to domains.

Yes, I said I will test run stanbic ibtc, as at this morning 385/$1. I know when we have economic crises like this, they always slow to cheat on people unlike access and eco banks and some other thieves known to short change their customers. Please as you are paying in naira, always update price here too to checkmate some of these thieves. Again when u make a good sale, always leave some money on the brokers table. Brokers like epik that are registers too, their stackbucks is useful now.
You won't need to pay for exchange rates again. No need to chop with all hands, save some dollars for good days. My left over of 80$ in epik has been saving me of buying some names since. Now remaining around 30$. If I make another good sale, I will repeat the same thing. Make this trial period pay us too. That is what can boost our morale. The holiday may not be soon over. God help us all.

Write to afternic support that u own the domain and you earlier contact the buyer but he choose to buy it from afternic . just tell them u are ready to transfer the domain to them and get the full payment as former owner won't b able to deliver it.

For those of you who use custom email address for outbound, how do you beat the spam trap?

Was sending out emails yesterday. At first, they were being delivered well. But later on they started landing in spam. I sent to an old gmail account of mine and it landed in spam, with the reason being because the mail was similar to those detected by gmail's spam filter.

It would seem though that the issue is only with gmail. I'm not sure other web and corporate mail addresses flagged my mail as spam (not sure. Just hope they didn't).

What do you think? Please, share your thoughts and experience in this.

I do experience same regularly , so I seldom count gmail address as a lead as most would end in spam . I prefer sending through their site sometimes or send just a line of msg with no dollar sign , no link in mail, space the domain name from the .com (ex : texassolar. com)
I use zoho for outbound lite plan around $12 a year .

For those with their money stuck on PayPal. Have you ever thought of buying your own listed domain with it and receiving your money in your bank account. Although you will lose another 9% of the money. Another option is using exchangers

9% much when you can import yourself as a lead n loss only 5% ..

I don't want to drop the domain here, the owner is a Seller who uses the domain as his company website. However when you click on it, It takes you to Dan where you see other names he is selling. I like that. Saw the guy on namepros

Your question just made me use this idea , so i would explain how i did mine .
it called url forwarding .
what you do first is choose any of your personal domain to visit let say forwardme/com .
make sure you visit it in incognito mode or you just sign out of DAN and visit the domain.
Then scroll-down and click see seller profile , your profile should open .
Optionally you can scroll down and select result to 100 or you leave it at 50.
But note that selecting 100 will display the first 100 domains according to your selected relevance .
You can tweak you relevance ,thats your choice. THEN COPY THE URL DOWN.
Next you log in to the account(mine was Dynadot) that contains the domain that you want to use for the forwarding .
click on the domain DNS setting and look for forwarding , then you follow the instruction if any and paste your COPIED URL and set it to permanent redirect .
Then save and wait for it to resolve .
