Well, most times I compare both charts and when I feel bom's price doesnt rhyme with my chart's, I use bom straightaway. But I generally love charts with white background.

mkmyers45: I've been going through chats and it seems gaps occur quite a lot....just sighted 3 gaps on EU since yesterday...

When I finished posting that tutorial on gaps this morning, I saw another gap on kiwi (NZDUSD) in a downward trend. Do you know that there are traders that only trade based on gaps alone? They wait for the gap-up and gap-down. Lol.

In order to use Betonmarket profitably, you have to decide on three things. The first is how far the currency pair is expected to go one direction or the other. Whenever you see a chart, and notice that a GAP is between Candle A and the next candle (Candle B), four possible scenarios would happen:

1) If the GAP occurs in a downward trend, wait for the next candle formation. Once the next candle follows the trend, SELL/FALL. It means investors have made up their minds to continue selling after a little contemplation/pause.

2) If the GAP occurs in an upward trend, wait for the next candle formation. Once the next candle follows the trend, BUY/RISE. It means investors have made up their minds to continue buying.

3 & 4 are very important

3) If a GAP occurs in a downward trend, wait for the next candle formation. Once the next candle changes to an upward trend (reserves the trend) then BUY/RISE. It means investors have changed their minds after the "break" to stop selling and start buying.

4) If a GAP occurs in an upward trend, wait for the next candle formation. Once the next candle changes the trend (reverses the pattern), SELL/FALL. It means investors have changed thier minds after the "break" to stop buying and start selling.

The screenshot below is in-line with 4. The trend was up but the trend changed after the Gap between candle A and B. As I'm typing this, over two hours that I've place the trade, the trend as been going down.


NOTE: Always wait for the next candle before making any trade using GAPs.

Its been a long time since we had a tutorial on this thread and I want to use this medium to bring it back. I have once talked about Hammers. Today, I want to talk about GAPS. Yes Gaps. Just like the normal gap that we are all familiar with. The space or vacuum between two elements/matter.

A small story to spice it up...

I woke up around past six, switched on the gen after some minutes, then went straight to the TV for Bloomberg/CNBC news. Although the Dstv decoder was working but the TV wasnt. So I checked the BNC Cable that links the decoder to the TV and I realised that its broken. Okay, no wahala. I turned on the lappy and loaded CSM (Currency Strength Meter) so as to know how the currencies were fairing. Saw that AUD was the strongest while JPY was the weakest. I said to myself, its safe to trade on AUD/JPY pair.

Entered BOM, zoomed to AUD/JPY and I saw a GAP on the 1d tab on BOM chart(I5min TF). Wow! This is opportunity meets preparation! I waited for the candle to complete its session by 7:15, then I placed a trade that AUDJPY would FALL in 15mins. Shikena!

And ofcourse it did.

End of story.

YOu can say that to the cleaners! Not on a social network as this! From time immemorial they have been friends. The UK had always rode on religion for politics to survive not until some years ago. King Charles, Henry and so on. Since the inception of government, religion and politics have been romantic partners.

That said, Bakare being summoned does not mean he would be arrested. Lets wait and see what comes out of it but I really do not see GEJ making any sane progress pursuing shadows when the problems of the nation are reaching the skies.
