Mr Sunday Ademola,
I guess you want to cover for litusista maybe because u guys are in the same school and same dept (although you didnt tell us your level). Since litusista hasnt been here for a while, you can answer the question.

@double08, before you say you want to have your masters, can we know your area of specialization? Although India is filled with IT gurus and good teachers but we have to know where you really wanna be (programming, networking, graphics, etc). Or do you just wanna have the certificate to get a job? Like working in the office or becoming a lecturer? Lets know.

@bravolyke. I also faced the same challenge while I was in school. Infact, I had the toughest time while I was in 200level. But Dan, do you really have interest in having a career in IT? If so, then no price is too much to pay for good grades. You need to
1) tighten your loins and move closer to those who know it.
2) Google-search for explanations on difficult courses. 100 level is easiest to acquire the highest grade, although the courses are loads.
3) devote more time to read.
4) concentrate always in class.
5) start learning simple stuffs like web design, HTML, animation or a programming language during ur leisure or weekends so as to add to your skills and sharpen your brain.
Fortunately, you can do all these things on your own.
Remember, if its meant to be; its up to you.

CareerRe: CBN Salary + Allowances - Who Actually Knows? by ayox2003: 5:14pm On Jan 28, 2012
Having read Blank's comment to Tanimola and Yamakuza's response, I cant help but laugh. But frankly, where have those Sanusi trainees gone? Maybe they are too ''occupied''.
This secrecy is not limited to the CBN guys alone. I have noticed that most nigerians generally keep their salaries to themselves. They tell you the precise amount only when they have problem and they need help.
EducationRe: Computer Science Students And Graduates, Lets Meet Here. by ayox2003(op): 7:16am On Jan 28, 2012
Litusista, u love ICT and you are a networking guru. That makes you a bigsista! I have a question for on networking then. Whats the function of the NVRAM in a router?

Final year students would you mind if we know what your project is all about. We might brainstorm and spice it up with good ideas and tips. And those in lower level would have an insight into how projects are done.
CareerRe: Wanted: Skilled Individuals by ayox2003: 6:36pm On Jan 27, 2012
For developed countries to complain about lack of skills; then young nigerians must ''double-buckle up''.
Frankly, your name says it all-mycvclinic. You treat issues like they are patients in your clinic. All your threads have been educative.
Nice to have you here.
Merci!

Yea. Nabokov was a diligent man while he was alive. At a time, he spent six hours every day of the week observing differences between butterflies and he was the only lepidopterist in Harvard.
Funny enough, he never knew to drive, fold an umbrella and answer a telephone. His wife did everything for him. In one of his funny quotes he said ''Genius is when a african man dreams of snow''. cheesy
In a light mood, have you noticed how your page looks when you google ''askew''?

I wikied Vladimir Nabokov (Russian-american novelist) just now. His name was mentioned in a book I currently am reading and I want to know what made him special while he was alive. While reading through his profile, I got to know the meaning of ''Lepidopterist''.
God bless Wikipedia!

@Kolababa, do you have evidences to back these up?
Touch not Gods anointed with profane words, I plead.
Pastor Adeboye is a honorary citizen of Pennslyvania, He prayed at the UN conference 2yrs ago and he made an altar call where world leaders gave their lives to Christ. He has a Ph.d in Hydrodynamics. While he was a lecturer at unilag, he represented Nigeria at different Mathematics competitions/conferences. He used the computer for his Masters project way-back in the 60's. Pastor Adeboyes repute is more than u would possibly imagine. British Prime Minister and the Mayor of London wants to attend the prayer coneference he holds in London.
Check out for American pastors wealth and you would be flabbergasted with how much they own and noone is criticizing them.
I rather seek the God that blessed Pastor Adeboye with somuch intelligence and riches than to point accusing fingers.
Can you tell it to his face?

Pastor Adeboye is not such a person who would receive 3billion for prayers. Its titled WHO STAYS PERMANENTLY IN OUT LIVES.

Who stays permanently in our lives?

How did our life begin?

We were born the day Dad and Mum decided to share the same bed. We grew to be taken care of by them and we actually live our early lives thinking they are gonna be stay with us forever. But as time goes, we got to know that growing gray hairs means growing old and growing old means going home. We realise that Mum and Dad are going to leave us one day. Then the day comes when they leave. We cry and mourn but they dont seem to hear us. These were the people who when we cried some years back would have given us biscuit. Woe unto death! Breath ceases death comes!

We get married, give birth and the same old story goes on and on. Our kid(s) bury us. So who stays permanently in our lives? This is a question that surely canvasses the medula oblongata.

Digest this: We started our lives with our parents but we didnt end it with them. We get married in our late 20s. This means the early years of our lives were not lived in the presence of our wife. Normally, its either you die before your spouse or he/she dies before you. You started having kids at age 30. This means your kids (your greatest treasures) entered your life after you have spent 30 yrs making your life meaningful. So who stays permanenetly in your life?

Did I hear friends? Friends! They come and go. Even if they still stay in touch, they dont stay in our lives. Stay here means Strong Impact. Inaddition, we all know how friends change talkless of the ship that carries them i.e friendship. Your high school friends are not your primary school friends and they will not be your friends in the University. As the saying goes, ten friends cannot play for ten years. So who stays permanently in our lives?

If you wanna know how strong this question is, ask yourself this question: How many Ex have I had? We all started our relationships (or love-life) with words like" I will love you forever", "I will be there for you at all times" "My love for you knows no end". After all the words of commitment and promises, the Darling leaves us for another dude/girl. So who stays permanently in our lives?

Here, I talked about our parents, our family (wife and kids), friends, lovers. The list is endless. So who actually stays in our lives? Anwser: Nobody but GOD.I dont need to explain this. But consider this: In whose life do you permanently want to stay?

I dedicate this piece to those who would stay behind after I have left this world- the younger ones. In whose lives I permanently want to stay.

Anyway, this is is a good talk by Seth Godin on 2012. It kind of rhymes with the topic.

Thanks for the video. But considering your advice on getting real skills vis-a-vis this video, are you saying we should be thinking in the line of entrepreneurship early in our careers? Or getting real entrepreneurial skills?

Keeping this thread live.
I googled One-way Hash Function today. Its basically an algorithm that converts messages and text into groups of strings that makes it almost impossible for it to be changed back to its original text. It is used for data management and security purposes.

Fashion/Clothing MarketRe: Buying Clothes, shoes, bags And Jewelries From Dubai by ayox2003: 10:25am On Jan 03, 2012
Thinking that Xmas sales would allow larger purchase of goods, my aunt went to Dubai for Xmas and she came back saying things are quite expensive there. Infact she didnt buy anything for business.
I would recommend that you go to China because I have peeps who have stores filled with China products and are doing fine. Dont get me wrong: China products might be authentic, it depends on what u want. There may be stores in Dubai where China products are sold and ofcourse they would be cheap. So those stores should provide the clothes u wanna buy as an undergraduate. Know ur plans, plan ur business carefully.
