@ grey Beard You are getting everything wrong, It's a choice to anyone to have guards, It's also a choice if one does not want to It's not a compulsion neither is it a law It's rather a choice Be wise, it's not your business and moreso this does not determine the level of the anointing on ones life |
Christianity Etc › Re: Pastors And Body Guards. by Azibalua(f): 10:48pm On Apr 24, 2011 |
As usual, an uninspiring and particularly daft attempt at a rebuttal - what is it with you people anyway? Did they replace your brains with coolaid?
Tell me - when Scotsmen wear skirts as culture, is it also because they are women since you say the only reason to carry swords culturally is to fight?
You people need to study and know about the world around you Use your brain cells dude Scottsmen skirts are not termed as weapons of warfare,I don't think you can inflict injury with it,you would rather do that with a sword. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Pastors And Body Guards. by Azibalua(f): 7:40pm On Apr 24, 2011 |
Grey Beard: @ Azibalua. So according to you, It's no ones business if any body decides to have guards. even your MOG? Now who is being naive??
Besides it is a fact that the time of Jesus was one of political upheaval and it was very common for the common man (like fishermen etc) to carry swords. Why would I want to make it my buisness if my MOG goes around with a guard,is it that immediately he became my MOG he started answering to me! I don't think god asked me to become my MOG boss Remember Romans 14:4 4 They are God's servants, not yours. They are responsible to him, not to you. Let him tell them whether they are right or wrong. And God is able to make them do as they should.
Also if in Jesus time there was political upheaval, what about now with all the uprising in the world, the killings and maiming going on. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Pastors And Body Guards. by Azibalua(f): 6:27pm On Apr 24, 2011 |
Enigma: First, no one has said MOGs or even Christians should not take security precautions. What people have been going on about is your hypocrisy: if you are "god", and you can do miracles, and if you and Oyakhilome can do greater works than Jesus, then you should not need security. If you still need security, then you were lying when you called yourself "god" and say you can do miracles. Most important you lie about Jesus and you drag Jesus down to a level lower than yourself --- saying He hid --- was it under the table or where? As for Paul, you forget that Paul is not "god"; in fact, Paul himself confirmed that he is not "god". Moreover Paul recognised that a miracle can only happen through him, when God Himself wants it to happen. Paul was different from you and your senior fraudsters who say miracle is common place in your hands. By now needing security and not able to rely on your common place miracles [color=#990000][b]you people have shown yourselves to be liars Strange talk, very strange Paul that could shake of a snake from his hand( I need not mention that's a miracle) could take off being assisted by men whose culture allows them to carry swords, and it was okay for him to take off! The great apostle Paul! |
Christianity Etc › Re: Pastors And Body Guards. by Azibalua(f): 6:07pm On Apr 24, 2011 |
Grey Beard: I would have to agree with nuclearboy here. The swords were a cultural aspect at the time. I would also like to stress an important point here that Jesus did not employ or commission any of his disciples for His security. They were his disciples who at times reacted when they thought their teacher and master was in danger. Today's pastors on the other hand commission certain individuals to act solely as their personal bodyguards. Jesus never did this and there is a very clear distinction between friends trying to protect you and employing bodyguards. So carrying of arms are solely for cultural purposes? How naive! It's no ones business if any body decides to have guards, If Jesus can hide himself,so can any other person, that was wisdom at that point, We all function at different levels, and so if I am comfortable with guards fine if am not fine,it's a thing of choice |

ogajim: Mabell; I thank God I have no such need, Nigerian "rich folks" tend to be very lazy and since labor is cheap, no need to take their fat behinds out of the car and open the gate themselves, heck you won't need the gate in the first place if there was a level of fairness in every facet of life there. Interesting Since you do not believe in security from henceforth sleep with only window nets, no burglary please, also no DOGS Then ensure that you give a strict warning to the security not to forget the vigilante in your area never to come near your house. |

dare2think: Any pastor that has a body guard is a FRAUD.
What is he scared of that he does not want to meet his Maker.
Since thay claim God speaks to them, wont you expect that God would warn them if anything bad is about to happen.
I'm including the pope too. It is stupid enough to conclude that any pastor with a guard is a fraud Why do we have locks on our doors and yet believe we have angels on guard? It's simple,it's because we must make it as difficult as possible for a theif to strike,so it is with guards And also its ones choice to make |

you said It is very simple would you like a picture of yourself unclothed in that state on the internet ?
Jesus said 'Love your neighbour like you love yourself' - do you know what that means ?
Think about it carefully if you would not put a picture of yourself in that state on the internet - then you should not put a picture of anyone else on. SIMPLE!! No one who has ever received a miracle is ashamed, the young man in the picture is a miracle, this is a testimony being shown to the whole world, You guys always want one evidence or the other this is proof itself you might as well appreciate it. You saw the guy smiling in the second picture,am sure he saw the first one Before meets after. |

It’s often expressed in action by the willingness to take on the responsibility of service to others, in loyalty to the Word Service to others in loyalty to the word may not be what you want at that time,it may not even be convenient for you, the ability to kill the flesh and do what the word says is a sign of maturity In essence mature Christians are humble. |

I decided we should go to my pastor for marriage counselling, to my greater surprise a pastor that told me before we went to see him that a woman that is scattering her marriage is just gathering air now was supporting my during the marriage counselling this pastor showed no interest in the insults my wife is putting me through instead he was interested in the investments that my wife has. This pastor pretends his is Jesus when he is preaching, this is a pastor that taught us on Sundays that a mans enemy are members of his own household including in-laws and extended families. These pastors are lovers of money and not Jesus.
I wish I had read a post like yours before I made the mistake of going to my pastor. Are you sure it's your wife with the demons? |

Martian: You needed marriage counselling and you went to your pastor? Thats like consulting a janitor about a bladder problem. Is he trained in psychology or social work, or does he get his expertise from the magical book? You need to see a trained professional and stop complaining about your wife or grab your cojones, dump your bible and use some of the 100billion brain cells you have and reason with her logically. If she'll rather listen to her modern day shaman, then you're $hit out of luck buddy and that means the inevitable has to hapen. The "evil pastors" won't burn in any hell, they'll just make your life uncomfortable and soon enough you, your wife and the pastor will all be dead and there is no life after that. This is the only life you get, so you better not let some bronze age jewish beliefs ruin your happiness. Life is spiritual, a pastor is one who is anointed for the congregation, the wisdom he has, has nothing to do with what he may have studied as a course or his background ,it comes from god who is his boss, pastoral guidance can never lead one astray, even if it sounds foolish it is the best solution to issues, Jeremiah 3:15 15 And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.

manmustwac: @Joagbaje So you saw a guy who had been half burnt and unclothed by the roadside. He had been there for four days. How did he manage to survive for so long day and night exposed to the elements {when he's already half dead} without food and water? Why did hundreds if not thousands of god fearing christians policemen and other men of god who obviously must have passed the guy during this four day period do nothing to help him? By some coincidence it just happened to be you. And only when you decided to help him that other people who would've otherwise ignored him decide to help you put him in your car. Your story sounds to dodgy for me to believe. Sometimes I wonder how an issue can be so glaring and yet also blurry at the same time to some others. |

@ nuclearboy In this case, you say she came back to life which means those organs were functioning (or was she in limbo?)! So tell us (I know your answer will be blindness to these questions AND/OR to release the 1st mechanised idio-tic Brigade of NL ):--> what were those organs running on till they got to hospital? What blood was the heart pumping until they got her to hospital? Do you know what blood does in the body? are you so shortsighted to believe that there's difficulty in raising one who bled to death, even if she had lost all blood are you then saying it was supposed to take god another one hour to ensure that all the blood is put back and the organ function starts again Imagine god running around a blood bank and looking for her perfect match This is a ludicrous story. If anything happened, the person was injured and taken to a hospital for treatment. But you heard about the injury and prayed for her. Which is fine and laudable. See this is so easy for you to believe, cos it sounds fine and laudable, This sounds more like what the Pharisees could do However, your desire for glory made you start adding to the matter till you got to this logical disgraceful end where your stories do not add up. Prove they are stories and not a testimony. Meanwhile have you even tried to lay hands on even one with head ache before? |
Christianity Etc › Re: Question For Joagbaje by Azibalua(f): 5:27pm On Apr 15, 2011 |
@ Martian 1) you saw a body that may have been a corpse and you went to look at it? Are you a doctor or were you under the impression that he was still alive? You don't have to be a doctor to help the dying. 2) the body in the first picture looked like the guy was a burn victim and even in Nigeria I don't think a burn victim wouldnt have attracted attention in the prior three days before your miraculous self drove past it. Of course it will attract attention but so many people probably thought he was dead and walked on by 3) a person with those kind of burns won't survive after four days of being exposed to the elements. Taking the victim to Johns Hopskins won't save him talk less of a hospital in Nigeria. That's why it's a miracle 4) what kind of doctor would refuse to treat a person about to lose his life ? One who is unsure of himself 5) what kind of doctor/ hospital would restrain a near comatose burn victim to a bed with ropes? Read through the post again 6) you must know a lot of magic because suddenly you were able to locate someone who knew the family . The world is a small place for god not to be able to locate any person he wants to 7) the alleged family's lack of sympathy for their mentally challenged relative Not supprising at all a person that f-cked up was lucid enough within a few days to be leading prayers and accepting Jesus?
Like I said it's a miracle. |

@ earswide WHERE DID YOU GET THE FIRST PICTURE FROM ? If you took that picture yourself - it means you saw a man in that state and your first act was to take pictures ! To do what ?? To prove your powers ?? With the kind of mindset you have exhibited towards not believing in dead men being raised if this picture had not been posted before now would you even believe half of the testimony about the young man. Thank god for technology. If you can really raise people from the dead like you claim - it should not matter to you if we believe you or not (the people you help and more importantly God) will see what you are doing. But for you to do this - only proves what I have known all along you are a FRAUD.
You are not just an ordinary fraud - you are a SPINELESS WICKED LITTLE FRAUD Then what is the essence of the thread,is it to castigate or to get evidence One more thing you have not answered yet why you so much do not believe in the raising of the dead? |

1.Is that how jesus lived his life before he died? 2.does jesus acquire any property in los angeles, washington or has any private jet, ship or yatch? 3.does jesus live a life of opulence? 4.what does the bible say in Ecclesiastes?vanity upon vanity all is vanity. 5.what does the bible says about religion leaders rubbing shoulders with politicians yet, could not tell them the truth about leading a country. 6.what moral right has he got to own an oil well? 7.Does jesus own oil well in israel?does he appropiate any wealth to himself or family. 8.what has religion gat to do with business empire?christianity is a selfless services not business empire the way nigerians have taken it. why cant we wake up for once it is a wake up call that will make nigerian a better place religion is business empire now even business men are investing in it. A pastor once told us that he was persuaded by a group of business men that he will be given 500m naira if he can leave his present church to establish his he refused because of the love he has for the church not what he will gain though the man is wealthy as well. What does this teach us?that christianity is a business that even politicians now supports it is high time they list their stock in NSE and lets those interest have a share of their pie. Oneluv God will see us through and release those that have been blindfolded by the sugarcoated pastors that he has been called or he is a man of God Jesus did not purchase a ship yes dear He collected it free of charge Stop saying what you have no idea about, I know first handedly that true men of god are heavy givers Most are responsible for the running of not just the church alone but also ensuring that members are standing strong |
