I can confirm to you that through my efforts alone via various articles I published on tithes, thousands of people all over the world have come to the knowledge of truth about this fraudulent doctrine called tithes. They have since stopped being de-frauded and are also spreading the good news that tithing is a false doctrine. It is just a matter of time people would start slapping their pastors if they dare preach this fraudulent doctrine to their congregation again. We must eliminate fraud in the gathering of believers.
Waiting for the confirmation

So now they teach you to worship a small "god" huh
The one we all know and worship is God, with a capital G, I hope CEC  doctrine doesn't teach you that. Folks that get scammed by this tithe thing just want to be in somebody's good books, want to be accepted, praised, etc by mere mortals instead of doing God's work and expecting nothing in return.

Money hunger is a disease.

Shalom.
Poverty is a serious disease but thank god for his word that can thwart it.

Are you telling me the person that made this statement ;

Matthew 19:23-24 (New International Version)

23 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven. 24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”
Was the richest man on earth?

Wow, I'm speechless.
Jesus even said it twice.
No grammar please, just answer the questions asked
And most especially what is the eye of a needle?

I am really glad that there is this growing awareness amongst christians that this modern day doctrine/practice of tithes is unbiblical and at best manipulative. Christians are now openly condemning the fraud and challenging their pastors on the issue. But I still believe a lot more still needs to be done especially in Nigeria to eradicate this fraudulent doctrine from the church.
There is also an increasing awareness of the real reason for tithing,it's principle and effects in the world, everyday more and more people pay their tithe,
Very soon more people will come to the light of gods word

Lovely Reply,
Imagine if Jesus collected tithes and "seeds", the guy would have been the richest man in history.  But that would have contradicted his view about the RICH man and the NEEDLE which our "prosperity" brethens always shy away from.
"My God is not a poor God", Pls when did God ever get concerned about earthly riches.
Hypocrites is too nice a word for their kind.
[/quote
What makes you feel he was not the richest man on earth?
What do you understand by the rich man and the needle?
If he was not concerned about earthly riches why did he create them?

When a man goes to a shrine whatever he drops there is presumed to be for the gods but of course collected by the juju priest.
How come when we pay our tithe it is said that pastors are the collectors of the money.
Christianity EtcRe: Behold The Richest Pastors In Nigeria! by Azibalua(f): 11:04am On May 22, 2011
1. You seriously need to go to a bible teaching church.
We are all anointed oh yes. But there are offices that are anointed

Ephesians 4:11-12
11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For theperfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

Also Abraham was a prophet

Genesis 20:7-9
7 So now restore to the man his wife, for he is a prophet, and he will pray for you and you will live. But if you do not restore her[ to him], know that you shall surely die, you and all who are yours. 8 So Abimelech rose early in the morning
and called all his servants and told them all these things; and the men were exceedingly filled with reverence and fear. 9 Then Abimelech called Abraham and said to him, What have you done to us? And how have I offended you that you have brought on me and my kingdom a great sin? You have done to me what ought not to be done[ to anyone].

2.Then who do you think the elders refer to.

3.That is one in a million pastors, don't judge others by your one experience.
Christianity EtcRe: Behold The Richest Pastors In Nigeria! by Azibalua(f): 11:02pm On May 21, 2011
many MOG also feed this line to their followere and i use to be like that untill i went back to read my bible and understand it.
there is no assumption because these are facts which are clear, and the pastors are not even making any effort to hide it.
answer one question,if i walk the lenght and breath of canaanland on a sunday will i or will i not find at least 10 members who are in need of financial help or to eat three square meals?

1. What exactly did you understand from your bible?
2. Why not leave them to god since he is their boss,or do you think he is not capable of handling them.
3. What makes you feel that those in need that you will meet are not already being helped in one way or the other?

I am asking you for infrastructure CEC has put in place to help the needy. Infrastructures that will benefit generations to come and empower the present. Clinics, schools, vocational centres, hospices etc,  Where are they? Its easy to give out foodstuffs and old clothes once in a blue moon. Its cheaper for you that way right?

Inner city mission homes/ shelter.
Innercity mission academy
Provision of computer facilities for security services
Free legal jobs for the less privileged
Provision of housing
And lots more
Christianity EtcRe: Wealthy Nigerians, Pastors Waste $225 Million On Private Jets-- Forbes by Azibalua(f): 8:32am On May 21, 2011
eewule:
A descent but large churches in Nigeria (that i respect) is the Deeper life ministry. A wealthy businessman from my village in Rivers in 2009 donated 5million to help build the local church but i was surprised to hear that the church leaders declined the money. When i enquired about how they are building the new church then?  , I was told by a member that they are relying on, and using church members who are  laymen - bricklayers and building contractors - who actually come to site everyday, working together to build the new church.   and today the 500 seater church is completed for the community in ikwerre land  , under normal circumstances in Nigeria a pastor would have completed his personal 4 bedrrom pad with that money
In building the house of god everyone must get involved both financially and also in the work itself whether you are skilled or not, you are building gods house there is a blessing for that.
Now this does not mean that skilled labour or heavy machinery should not be acquired, it should after all they are meant for the purpose of construction and they make the work fast and more accurate.
This cost a lot of money.
If the church refused the money fine they have a reason but it does not mean this should be so in every denomination.
You can't use this to judge another man of god considering the fact that he answers to god.

shocked shocked When will Black Africa be released from the clutches of pseudo-religion?
Imagine these self-professed 'men of God' growing fat and oozing wealth on the sweat and labours of their congregation. Why do the congregation put up with such modern day slavery? huh

I do not think the congregation is complaining . Why not find out the reason why they are not complaining.
The truth remains that what you don't know you can only assume, and working under an assumption is living a lie
So
Wake up

Like I said before, I dont collect money from the public so I dont have to account for what I do to anyone but God.
Churches collect money from the public in the form of tithes and offerings - so should account for the money they collect.
By the way the InnerCity mission does not in any way change my feelings about Oyaks - he is a charlatan with fried hair and a fake accent. Anything done to help the needy in society should be commended but the man is a fraud.
Since you do not pay your tithe I don't think you have any right whatsoever to talk about others who do, and mind you our tithes and offerings go to god and they are blessed by him.
Since it goes to god don't you think he is a better accountant and knows how to deal with those who mismanage his funds.
We should commend pastor chris for the inner city mission initiative and still call him a fraud.
How naive.
And if you really are involved with helping the needy why not share your experience with people on Nairaland so as to encourage them to do more instead of castigating those who are spending everything they have to help the world.

We must not let that child suffer another day,we must give a helping hand and take them off the street for whether we like it or not, they are our kids
We must leave the selfish mentality of catering for only those who we gave birth to. There is a destiny we all can help them build.
Not many of us could think this way before, not just think alone but also carry out actions in this direction.
Christianity EtcRe: David Oyedepo's Story by Azibalua(f): 2:00pm On May 19, 2011
@ Martian
Where were all the finance giants when we saw the economy crash,
What happened to all the economic theories
The only thing that has stood the test of time without faltering is gods sure word
But of course you can't understand this

1 Corinthians 2:14-16
14 But the man who isn't a Christian can't understand and can't accept these thoughts from God, which the Holy Spirit teaches us. They sound foolish to him because only those who have the Holy Spirit within them can understand what the Holy Spirit means. Others just can't take it in. 15 But the spiritual man has insight into everything, and that bothers and baffles the man of the world, who can't understand him at all. 16 How could he? For certainly he has never been one to know the Lord's thoughts, or to discuss them with him, or to move the hands of God by prayer. But, strange as it seems, we Christians actually do have within us a portion of the very thoughts and mind of Christ.
