Oh yes!!! Nigerian to my DNA molecules. In my field (Architecture), i make it a point of duty to be as open and honest as possible to everyone i encounter, I give the best services drawing foreign inspiration and giving it a Nigerian twist to improve my environment. I vote, pay my taxes, keep my environment clean, just developed a model to provide cheaper housing to Nigerians(interested developers needed), plan on starting a class to teach youngsters the craft of modelling (small scale buildings used for Architectural presentations)....etc. Will reveal more once my head's clear......Frankly, I don't think this thread will go far...a lot of people will avoid it. |
glen87: what was wrong in all he said. All this people that base only in Lagos and watch only LTV. I pity some of you cos the more you talk, the more disgraced and disappointed you will be.Naaahhh....I watch DSTV and CNN is my favorite channel. I see how foreign countries handle their issues smartly and yearn for Nigeria to do the same. |
From some comments here i'v spotted some rapists and potential ones too.....God save the women of this country. Yeah, quick question to (you know yourselves)....Can't you woo a lady and make her want you so bad,she keeps coming back for more?? Is that why you resort to rape?? If that's the case, you lack game son. |
This law means you've gotta make a positive confirmation before penetration......or else you'll wind up inna police station. |
Malawian: hope fashola is building public toilets in that eko atlantic city? dont ask me whyHater....How do u cope?? |
While some youths are thinking up ways to make income, these fooools are still into cultism. They deserve all the punishment they can get. |
"Would be" Rapists are shaking in their pants right now. |
On a serious note, I wish we could have projects in this country look like those in those mock photos being uploaded. I know we can afford it in this country. We will get there. |
VW GOLF 111 or Toyota Corolla. Durable, easy to fix, parts are cheap and available. Goodluck. |
How dumb can some people be?? The Vaccinators are there to provide help and they end up killin them over some conspiracy cooked up in their hollow heads. I pity some elements in the North and the stoopidity of their actions. |
@ Bluetooth. This is a very sensitive issue so you need not add fuel to it. Keep your opinions in you for the sake of peace. |
I'm still waiting for pictures to quell these arguements. The South west already feels marginalized by GEJ's administration so don't be surprised if majority of people that insult him reside there. You need to prove them wrong by posting pics of GEJ's acheivements in the SW or else you shouldn't act surprised if they don't like him. |
I aint got no beef with Ghana, I'm just glad i won't be seeing Asamoah Gyan do that silly dance of his for a while....and his hair. |
@Sincere Nigerian. Any pics of projects in the south west?? |
I want to see pictures!!!...More pictures!!!.... not discussions and arguments. ![]() |
That awkward moment when you're ignored by the same person you're trying to associate with. |
This is the wisest solution to the problem of substandard houses in that area. I used to visit that part of Lagos Island b4 the traders and quack developers came and also stayed there a bit when i was younger. They swooped in and turn the location into a large ghetto with their ill planned, shoddy buildings. The buildings were so close u could touch the next building thru your window. Those buildings have to go. Anyone that criticizes this move lacks understanding of the true situation. |
Sincere 9gerian: Good advice. I'm sure 60-70% of the things you listed will be done before 2015.I forgot to add..Scrapping irrelivant ministries and politcal appointments to reduce the size and cost of his Government. Who knows, he might be right beside you. |
Criticizing is the easiest job to do but GEJ should send out strong signals on his intentions. No one would be justified to criticize him if he fixes Oshodi-Apapa express way, Lagos-Ibadan express way, Expand the rail operations (with pics of New coaches he just purchased), Facilitate the prosecution of 2 or 3 high profile cases of corruption, 2nd Niger bridge construction, scrapping of the office of the first lady, finish the Onistsha port, make considerable progress with nepa, reduce the cost of petrol(even if its by N5)....If he acheives all this, I'll join u guys in singing his praises and he would be d best president we've had in a long while. But as long as large cases of corruption continue under his watch and he keeps dining wit ex-cons, not a lot of people will take him serious. |
These pictures will only be a source of shame. Imagine, applauding them as the projects one of the world's largest producer of oil calls "Acheivements". Its sad. If u aint tired of crumbs, I am. Posting University gate constructions as an acheivement of an oil producing country....SMH. It clearly shows a lack of ideas. |
Change is the only constant thing in life...Sooner or later, PDP will fall and this is just the begining. Their Candidates will determine if they can survive 4 more years. |
With the trillions of Naira this Country is generating, those buildings I'm seein are outright dreadful and look cheap. Most of the road projects existed before in a state of uncompletion or disrepair so they were either refurbished or completed. We need to compare these "Acheivements" to what countries that receive less are commissioning. It doesn't justify available resources, no matter how many pics the @Op uploads. |
This is the future of transportation not only in Lagos but the whole Nigeria. Criticism can only delay it but it will happn soon. Those danfo buses have to go and i really don't care or pity their drivers b'cos they've made a real mess of their chances and have shown no attempt and improving their operations, vehicles and services. I eagerly await that day. |
I'm in the construction industry and i know how dishonest a lot of contractors can be. They over blow their quotations, use quacks that collect the lowest pay and purchase the most sub-standard products to widen their profit margins. |
It certainly will reduce the influence Tinubu has in hand-picking candidates....Which is a good thing. |
I'm tired of these old recycled leaders that refuse to leave the corridors of power. What's their fixation with ruling this Country?? Are they that eager to serve their nation or its just the allure of power??...Please, Buhari should step aside and endorse a better, younger candidate instead. |
BodyKiss: Jan 26, 2013 - Man Utd vs Fullham (FA Cup). I was actually eating one delicious meal while watching that match, just to tell you how relax I was. you can check my comment on that here https://www.nairaland.com/1175163/manchester-united-vs-fulham-fa/2#14025893 .If Fulham had scored first, I was confident Man Utd would equalize and still win with the gameplay. |
With the resources available to the Fedral Govt, these projects being posted are scrap. Honestly, do these projects justify the billions spent?? The only GEJ acheivements that have directly affected me as a common man is the fuel price increase and improved electricity supply (even this seems to be on the decline of recent). |
razznaija: Ask him oh, he thinks that any Nigerian that is doing it big, made his/her money through dubious ways. She has the most sucessful blog in Nigeria...Her haters can guess how much it will cost to advertize on her blog or her covering an event. |
Are u sure they aren't Nigerian Yahoo boys in foreign countries?? |
I now see the importance of Mikel in this Chelsea team. His presence gave them the chances of goin up front to wreck havoc. Without him, who's goin to stay back and sacrifice himself for a card?? |
This Obama can pose too much. |
