MetaPhysical:Militarily your useless soldiers got dusted by poorly armed Biafran teenagers, yes you won the war, but it was pyrrhic considering the terrible losses you took in men and materials at the front, and the dishonorable slaughter of innocent civilians through terror bombings and starvation. Bede2u:disregard that nonsense he wrote, Ojukwu never ran into hiding at no time. There was absolutely nothing impressive about Murtala Muhammed, yes he was daredevil, unorthodox, and very ruthless as a commander, but it's on record that he led probably the most disastrous military campaigns on the Federal side during the war as commander of the 2 infantry division. He was a very obstinate, temperamental and incompetent military commander who refused on several occasions to take orders from his superiors in Lagos... under his watch more than 20,000 Nigerian soldiers may have perished just to capture Onitsha via sea and road. 3 Likes |

BafanaBafana:Do you actually have a credible documented source to back that claim up? I have read almost all accounts out there about the Coup(the events leading up to it), the counter coup and its aftermath... and then the Nigerian civil war... But no where did I read that Ojukwu ran and went into hiding when Murtala Moh'd threatened to match on to Enugu. For context, whether or not Murtala even made such threats is immaterial, but what you must understand is that after the counter coup and pogroms had taken place in all of the regions, the East was only place that didn't experience a single loss of Igbo life, civilian or military... Ojukwu was in total control of all the military and paramilitary units in in the East, and he saw to it that all the Northern troops were safely repatriated back to their region with their weapons for safety measure... there was no single Northern dominated unit anywhere in the East at the time unlike other regions... so it's inconceivable that the same Ojukwu who was secretly preparing his region for war, would then run and hide over some threat from Murtala. Murtala as daring and crazy as he was, wouldn't have dared invading the East would Northern troops especially at a time when tensions and emotions were very high in the East, I'm sure he was smarter than that. 3 Likes |

SamNaijaboy:Here we go again with the stupid drivel, guy why are you so insecure?, omo see power point presentation o!!! did I ask you to serenade me with your boring tales? Dude you're VEEY insecure, and also mentally ill(like no joke seek help fast before you self-implode). Dude I'm not here for all the chest beating nonsense, you have already exposed yourself as a shameless liar, see how spooked you got over a mere line of thought . If you're really about that bragging right, then I'm game, let me muddy myself by indulging you. First challenge of the day, I'll PM you how much is currently in my US and Nigerian account for a start (with my Facebook name as proof that I'm the actual owner of the account, and then giving you my Facebook account will further afford you the opportunity of seeing my business page and what I actually do, the number of people people that follow my business page, pictures and posts of people I have created job opportunities for in Lagos, Ibadan, PH & Enugu), you will also get a preview of my US owned business as I'm currently based in California... Nyggah we don't brag too much out there, I'm just 26...but I worked my way up to the level I am now, yeah I've not hit all the fake and imaginary mega tours you've taken in your dream , but I take season vacations to places your broke aSS can never dream of going(you'll also see my recent summer vacation pics on my Facebook)... So let me save my time, I'll reveal all my personal information to you: account balances both in the USA and Naija, my business pages, my brand of business etc... IF you'll also return the favor by actually proving me wrong that you ain't some online noisemaker. I know I sound petty, but sometimes you have to condescend yourself to a petty level to shut a noisemaker up... show me how much is your account balance RIGHT NOW (be smart enough to censor your vital account details). So are you game?? I'll be in your PM in a second with the challenge if you affirm you're in. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

laudate:Read old man read!!! That's fundamental to these whole back and forth discourse. cool, did you skip the part in my part where I emphasized where lots of Yorubas in my company had the proclivity of not only breaking company policy by overly speaking their Iocal dialects in a culturally diverse environment( I NEVER and I repeat for your slow wits to understand, NEVER said I had a problem with anyone speaking their language) Firstly understand the premise of why it wasn't allowed (company policy), and then throw in the ethnic bashing factor which I ALSO mentioned and made clear I was a victim of (overheard a staff addressing me as "Omo Aja okuta Ma mi), which every Nigerian knows is a derogatory way Yorubas use on Igbos. Like what's there not to fuccking understand you dunce?? It's funny how you're conveniently overlooking the disgusting attitudes of the yoruba staffs who unabashedly insulted me cause of my ethnicity, or the fact that other staffs who weren't even Nigerians always complained to me of how uncomfortable they felt as well. Dude I'm some trying to make sense to your dumb aSS.... Now what have you to say about the Yorubas who are also more or less insulting my tribe on here? are you suddenly gone blind to that part as well? You're a well known Igbophobic piece of garbage anyway, your archives of bias against Igbos on here are well known( I've observed how you are quick to take sides against Igbos even when they are been attacked) I have my doubts that you are not Yoruba as you claimed here... But that's inconsequential to me anyway. I won't even waste my time explaining anything to you, I stand against tribalism in my workforce, and any more Yoruba or anybody for that matter who bring that crude Nigerian tribalism nonsense will be promptly terminated from working at my agency, I have such power thanks to God to get rid of filth, now sue me you idiot. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Abi e hard you? typical day in the office for another poverty stricken idiot... I bet the Igbo girl is the one feeding your wretched family members, it's no secret Yoruba families are the most broken in Nigeria, the men can't provide for the family and just sleep with anything in skirt, leaving an impoverished family uncatered for. I grew up among your people long enough to know how fuccked up your family structures are. A typical Igbo man will NEVER see his family beg or suffer, check the average Yoruba and Igbo family structure in Nigeria, it won't need any shred of oversight to see which one is better cared for, protected, and provided for adequately. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

laudate:*SIGH* I don't have time to waste explaining myself to you, I simply pointed out how my Yoruba staffs were culpable for breaching company policies by introducing disgusting tribalism (it wasn't just Igbos that were complaining, most of my Non-Nigerian staffs also did on several occasions), the usual stereotype about Nigerians been too loud, rude, and haughty were reinforced by Nigerians, majority of whom were Yorubas. Once again use your brain, the Edo guy who complained to me didn't generalize all yorubas as bad and uncouth, he only made a point of the tribalistic tendencies of many of the Yoruba staffs towards Non-yorubas. You don't know me, my relationship with Yorubas or my views about them so don't come here and make silly innuendos cause you don't know me dude. On a side note (not that it matters anyway cause your antecedents of facetious bias is an open book here), why are you accusing me of been jaundiced in my views about Yorubas? Why are you not condemning the Yorubas here who are also guilty of ethnic baiting and stereotyping Igbos negatively? Your hypocrisy stinks to high heavens mate. 3 Likes 1 Share |

YorubaHero12: Dude, It depends on the context. I have been in meetings where some of our Spanish speaking managers will start talking to each other in their native language. This is utterly unacceptable and they have been told to speak English. If they are by themselves and talking .. no problem. If they can better communicate and figure out a problem in their native language, AMONGST THEMSELVES, than that's fair, but tolerance and freewill which I agree is a fundamental tenet of the American ideology, is MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE to specific code of conducts for a particular company/sector for the sake of other people, patients, workers... and of course in view of the diversity, English is mostly recommended to be spoken WHILE ON SHIFT. You can speak your language when off-shift (it's fuccking common sense dude). So when you speak of Indians speaking their Hindi in whatever IT firms you know about, maybe you should do more research if that's standard protocol for that particular IT firm, cause I doubt a very diverse environment or sector like that won't find a problem with Hindi been spoken every damn time especially in a multinational setting... Thank God I have lots of IT friends, surely I know where I can get my facts. For example in California where I stay and work , Spanish is a recommended second language especially for people in the health field, and that's because lots of the patients you see in different hospitals are mostly Spanish or Spanish-speaking, so it's imperative you take a year or two of Spanish class to communicate with your patients or staffs, BUT the underlining principle is that English MUST be the primary language to be spoken while on shift, nobody stops you from speaking your local language from time to time, but OVERDOING it is a steep in what is within professional dictum considered as generally unacceptable. You are not the only people proud of your language, nobody gives a FU. CK honestly, an Edo man is proud of his language, an Igbo man is proud of his language, an Hausa, Urhobo, Ijaw, Kalabari, Itshekiri etc are proud of their respective languages, so yours ain't special. It's when you use that same language to cast aspersions on other people based on their ethnic identities (which your people based on a broad spectrum of experience) are most guilty of, insulting other people using derogatory and uncomplimentary epithets like I personally experienced yorubas do at my place of work, is definitely overreacting. It's no secret the the Yoruba man's insecurity antennas begin to get the wrong wave signals when an Igbo is around, it's like an inherent disease or phobia...when a Yoruba guy manages to bed one Igbo girl, he will celebrate it like it's a bloody achievement and tell whoever cares to listen, an Igbo man will bed 10 Yoruba girls and not a damn soul will know... I've also experienced this several times (two of my close friends are Yorubas, females) based in Texas, and they don't hide their disappointment in their men even on social media, the consensus is that you guys are effeminate, talkative, and very BETA, all masking their fragility in the "Yoruba demon" tag... real nyggas know what's good, fucck with an Igbo dude and he will never kiss and tell... but a Yoruba? That's like selling yourself short. 10 Likes 5 Shares |

YorubaHero12:I can't speak for all the Igbos in the US, neither can I account for them. I can only speak for my OWN ORGANIZATION, I'm among the relatively few Nigerians in the top administrative hierarchy in the company I work for, so it's irrefutably significant to note that I can speak only from my personal experience with your peoole(just as much as you can from your personal end). Your people are very toxic, extremely clannish and uncouth, it was always company policy for staffs not to speak in any local dialect while at work, especially when working with other staffs from various ethnic/racial backgrounds (I'm talking about other Africans, Mexicans, Whites, Native Americans, Pacific Islanders, Asians), until our Nigerian people as usual (especially Yorubas) came in and ruined everything, literally turning everything upside down with their crude and very irritating mannerisms (which EVERYBODY complained about). It wasn't even so much that they infringed on company standard policy by speaking in local dialects while on shift, and I even as a Nigerian tried to cover their aSSes from getting fired cause other staffs were ready to report them to top managers... I always came in for the agency I worked for and saved those idiots from losing their jobs. When the line was crossed was when tribalism was introduced to my agency courtesy of yorubas, your people were most culpable for some of the most disgusting actions that definitely broke the scale of professional tolerance... and I noticed these insecurities were most profound around and towards the Igbo staffs, calling Igbos "Awon ajaokuta ma mo mi" "Awon Okoro" when bonding together in their clannish sessions was the deal breaker for me... when I had it up to my neck was when some idiot started to ask her Co-staff in Yoruba why an Igbo boy was in charge... the b1tch didn't know I overheard her, plus I unfortunately for her understood Yoruba very well... that became the beginning of her many nightmares to come until she quit, or in more succinct terms "got written up and fired". 9 Likes 4 Shares |

Trust a Yoruba man at your own peril, I work for a health care provider here in the US, in an administrative capacity with lots of Nigerians employed under my agency... my experience with Yoruba staffs (especially when they find out that their boss is an Igbo) has been nothing short of profoundly shocking and disappointing(one of my staffs who didn't know I understood Yoruba made very disparaging observations about me when she found out that I was Igbo, to another staff who was Yoruba during one of their incessant gossip sessions on break period, the witch didn't know I understood Yoruba, her aSS got fired before the next pay day) ... let me just say those people are the most facetious set of human beings you will ever meet, extremely crude, they are ready to sell out their fellow Nigerian who isn't from their tribe to a complete stranger and then have the audacity to laugh with you in your face... I knew it was official when one of my staffs from Edo state confirmed that they were snakes... I'll just leave it at that. 11 Likes 6 Shares |

When this idiots call Ojukwu (whom I'm not a even a fan of) a coward, I just laugh. Yes he made lots of tactical and logistical mistakes before and during the course of the war by not securing the sufficient armaments through diplomatic overtures to world powers with oil as the bargaining chip, enough to prosecute a long drawn war against a vastly superior Federal side, among other mistakes he made that probably cost Biafrans victory... but calling him a coward (I hope these Afonja mo.rons look up the true definition of that word again before blabbing) is an overstretch of facts. Ojukwu had all the wealth and power to turn the other way when his people were been massacred in the North, he had more than enough not to be bothered one bit...but he didn't, the man selflessly shouldered the burden of millions of Easterners at the time, spent millions of his own personal savings to procure arms, and taking up the mantle of defending the East when invaded by Nigeria : thus in the process engendering some bad relationships with his own father who was vehemently against secession. Do these qualities depict someone who is a coward? Yes he had his flaws (some say he was overambitious and greedy), but even in all of these maybe justifiable criticism remains the prominent fact that Ojukwu stayed with his people and fought, rather than ditch them when the heat was on. During the battle of Oguta which was at the time captured by the Third Marine commandos under Major Makanjuola (Oguta was a few miles to Biafras only airstrip--Uli) at the time, and it's capture mearnt Biafrans would be cut from their only outlets to the world if the Federal troops advanced to capture the airstrip. But Ojukwu would have none of it, it's on record that he personally selected and led the men and officers who went into the battle at Oguta, where the victorious Biafrans made sure no Nigerian solder made it out of that town alive...Ojukwu was the tactical mastermind in that key battle. At the end Biafra couldn't sustain the momentum, and the people had to force Ojukwu to leave cause the Nigerian troops would definitely have psychologically denigrated the Igbos more if they captured Ojukwu alive(who knows what they would have done to him)? it was only rational and necessary that he left... and you can bet he left a dying Biafra in high style, class, and aplomb... with a full Military send off on a plane to Ivory Coast, and not disguised as a woman as some idiots claim. 3 Likes 1 Share |
