Kapaskii: Children All children must see a clinician who’ll decide if they need a chest x-ray. Children under 11 will not normally have a chest x-ray. You must take your child to an approved clinic(IOM) and complete a health questionnaire. If the clinician decides your child does not have TB they’ll give you a certificate. Include this certificate with your child’s UK visa application 2 Likes 1 Share |

deolu9: Technically, outsourcing your admission and visa processing is about the No 1 reason most people fail the interview when ukvi does the credibility checks. If you are on Nairaland, it means you have a smart device that can access the internet and source information. If you are trying to get a masters degree and you are finding it hard to source information then there is a big problem. I quite understand that time is money and you might not have it, but if you don’t have time to do a basic online research then you would struggle with the same issue during your course. If you are a genuine student, you should be interested in knowing the location of your school, the ease of living in that town, your course module, what it takes to be a student etc This is an opportunity for a lot of people to improve on themselves, the more visa denials Nigerians get on study visa, then the more they would change the rules for the next set of applicants. it doesn’t really take much to do some basic research, if you go through this thread from page one, you would see questions being asked a dozen times and wonder why people can’t spare a few minutes to read and learn. People are still asking questions on POF, it’s been answered a million times. people still ask about vignette and what to fill about in forms. If this was a thread on buying stuff then maybe we can make some excuses on why people are lazy, but this is a thread about education and people still don’t want to read. For every single person here, it’s our job to make sure we make this process viable for the next set of applicants. The more visa approvals we can get, the more they would reduce the restrictions for Nigerians because then they know we can follow the rules. Do your part time always want to learn, every thing is here. This thread we take for granted is actually gold, anyone who reads from page one to the current page can actually apply without any help, you don’t need any agent. Be involved with your process, it won’t just help you with your visa, it would help you with your degree program. Take responsibility 39 Likes |

Godson101: When your Student visa is granted, you will be issued with a vignette (a sticker inside your passport) which is valid for 90 days. It is very important that you travel to the UK within this 90-day period or you will be required to re-apply. When you receive your passport and 90-day visa, you will also receive a BRP letter that contains important information about what to do when you arrive in the UK including the post office address to collect your BRP. You must retain this letter and bring it with you when you come to the UK. |

OSPF: This is likely as a result of what your wife filled. She would have been told to fill an online form for registration and this options you mentioned was what she filled, or it could be an error from IOM, of which there would have been a screen where she could have corrected it. In reality it should not be an issue, but you can have it corrected for a fee. Your wife should be student without scholarship while you and your son should be settlement with dependants. 2 Likes |

themonsieur: The type of vaccine is not the issue, the vaccine in Nigeria is Oxford/Astrazena and it is also being administered in the UK, the issue is about people vaccinated through the NHS. NHS has a data base for people vaccinated in the UK, and that can be verified. They also carry the NHS covid pass, which airlines are required to check. So its about being vaccinated in the Uk and not the variant in Nigeria . 3 Likes |

nuttyhnic: The Proof of funds is quite straight forward if you understand it, to clear some ambiguity i have attached a sample statement. This example assumes the total funds needed is 22,380. You can also see in the example that you can carry out normal banking provided the required funds doesn’t drop. You can also see that you can use the statement on exactly 28 days. For your question, since you are applying on the 14th, count 28 days backwards. So if 14th is your closing balance, count 28 days backwards to get your opening balance day. Hope this helps 4 Likes

Mckayzee: Its really not an issue, but if a buffer of a day or two makes you sleep better then for the sake of sanity you can wait, Otherwise its pretty much straight forward,28 days is counted backwards from the date of your closing balance and the the final day backwards should not be the day the deposit of funds was made. Any money you use for maintenance (course fees and living costs) must be in your account or your parent(s)' account for a consecutive period of 28 days (finishing on the date of the closing balance). During the 28-day period this money cannot drop below the required amount for even 1 day or you will not meet the Home Office requirements and your application will be refused. 28 days will be counted back from the closing balance and the closing balance cannot be more than 31 days old on the date of application. If your finances are confirmed in a letter then the letter and the closing balance cannot be more than 31 days old on the date of application. The date of application is usually the date you submit and pay for your online Student Visa Application and not the date you maybe required to show your financial documents. 1 Like |

Liddy: This might help, curled from the TLS website under reasons why applicants can get a not straightforward email for applicants that paid for priority. However, every application is unique, and if your application is not straightforward, it may not be possible to meet this timescale. If this is the case, your application will still be put at the front of the queue at every stage of the decision-making process, and UKVI will aim to process your application within global customer service standards. Your application may not be straightforward if you have: • been refused a visa for the UK, and/or; • been refused leave to enter the UK, and/or; • been deported, removed, or otherwise required to leave the UK, and/or; • overstayed a period of leave in the UK, and/or; • had leave to remain in the UK curtailed by the Home Office, and/or; • been refused leave to remain in the UK by the Home Office, and/or; • been refused a visa for Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United States of America, or the Schengen countries, and/or; • you have been interviewed, detained, or prosecuted by the police for any offence in the UK or elsewhere, and/or; • you have an unspent criminal conviction in any country, and/or; • you have committed a criminal offence in any country. If you fall into one of these categories, you may not want to use the Priority Visa service, as UKVI may be unable to process your application within the 5-day timescale. 1 Like |

peacenigeria: Hello @peacenigeria,I would have to disagree with you on this issue. A ban of ten years can be incurred through several methods, but I am yet to hear about a change of destination for a B1/B2 visa as being a reason. Student visa's like M1 and F1 usually carry destination specific ,and it would be annotated on the visa the state and school the student should be. My thinking is maybe your sister wasn't having the right class of visa? @chiomy8, good to hear about you trip. Happy new year everyone and God speed in all endeavors |

He asked for our purpose in US and I told him for Xmas, New Year hols and for my Wife to have our baby in US, he asked how much cash, told him, stamped our passports full-stop., no other questions, he didnt even count the money. It was just God cos the guy just started his shift and we were 2nd on the queue. All thanks to God almighty. My wife had her 1st appointment on friday and guess who we saw? Omowunmi. We are staying at Intown suites waiting to host Omowunmi today and Nenih pls get in touch when u r in town. jyde2014: Gd morn all; Hi, don't re apply without sorting out the finance issue. Earlier in his thread we stated the fact that a statement of account at the embassy is not used for the purpose of final balance, they basically asked for 6 months statement in order to view your cash flow ,salary payment monthly . These days taking all sorts of financial documents with huge cash payments might not help your situation. American visa' are being issued to people with less than 1 million Naira in the account but have good monthly inflow. And in most cases the VO would only ask to see the statement if he doesn't trust your story or their has been some inconsistencies in the way you filled out the online application. Take your time and get it right, don't rush back to the embassy. |

baby2014: Hi, really sorry this is coming a little late, I missed the post. We didn't get any commitment letter from wyckoff, all I did was to print all the correspondent letter just in case we needed it. The hospital doesn't have history of birth tourism ,so they don't have any special procedure in place for that. But they are pretty much a very descent bunch ,and are ready and eager to help you once you turn up. But if you wana ask Christine , maybe she can write something for you,mix guess it won't be a bad idea. |
