MelaninGemstone:All airlines submit outbound manifest, the UK border control don't use exit stamps. |
iluvtotodie:Requesting for your immigration history is the easiest solution, ask your friend to follow the link below to find out exactly what ukvi has on him. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/requests-for-personal-data-uk-visas-and-immigration/request-personal-information-held-by-uk-visas-and-immigration |

Ayooze:The banks would verify your ticket reference before selling you forex. It wasn't verified in the past but the process was abused by Nigerians again. |
centuryman:Hello @centuryman,sorry its coming late! Looks like a tight situation, the reason for a complete set of date on the Marriage certificate might be a good start. Thats assuming the real date is the one on the Passport. I dont think an affidavit can fix it though, dont really know much on the particular subject matter. |
justwise:The issue of bank statements is literally straight forward but in the Nigerian context, its almost rocket science. We do have a lot of people using built accounts, and bank officers have been cashing out on students going to the UK. It is what it is. The onus is to tell people the truth and consequences of using such accounts. Whatever we say wont make it stop, Nigeria is at a certain brink and people are desperate. I believe everyone here is an adult, and people should be able to take responsibility for their actions or inactions. A good fraction of people on this platform are using built account, to deny this is equal to living in Disneyland. The job here is to educate people on consequences, you might be caught and banned. If you dont get caught, you will struggle in the UK, It is extremely difficult without saved funds. That been said, we have had a few cases of misjudgement from UKVI about statements, and a handful of people have been able to reverse it, a case study is on Part 6,October 12 by @Ezriela. I have attached screen shots. UKVI doesn't get it right all the time . They are humans after all .

Lithuanian:hi, I wasn't asking for the amount though. I was of the opinion you wanted to buy forex from the black market and send to him to pay ?if that is your thought process then you might as well pay yourself if you have a dom account. |
Lithuanian:I am just curious, when you say "I want to send him the money ", what currency are you sending to him ? |

Mosimileoluwa12:Hello, you are mixing up the information erroneously. There is a date of application and there is the day your waiting period starts. The date of your visa application is the date you paid for your visa, which is also the same day you make ihs. This date is important because it is the date the visa officer would take into consideration when checking oanda rates. For clarity, if you submit your application on the 2nd of july, the exchange rates on the 2nd of july is what they use to calculate the required funds. When you make payment, you will also generate a pdf document of your application, and on that document, it is boldly written “ Date of visa application” i have attached a copy for your perusal . Now, after you go for your biometrics, that day is referred to as when the waiting period starts. It is the date you start counting how long your application process is taking. The date of your biometrics is not the date of your application.

Jayk22:I like the way your head is screwed on properly. Fully aware of challenges and basking in it already, i love it. |
Solatium:its my foot, let me shoot it. let it rest please, you have been going on about nothing like forever, drink some water too. |
Solatium:Yes it guaranteed if you follow the guidelines, PSW is easier to get than the student visa. You dont need any money in your account for 28 days, no TB test required. PSW is the attraction and thats why students are flooding in. The amount of students coming to the Uk has doubled just because of the PSW visa , the Uk government in itself cant afford not to grant a high number of PSW visa, they are extremely short of skilled workers. They are making loads of money on visa application, but its nothing compared to what they need in terms of skilled workers. Any average Joe knows that. Your submissions on the issue sometimes seems short sighted. Get a student visa, follow the rules and graduate, then apply for your PSW visa, you are almost 95% certain of getting it.The number of students coming in would drastically drop if the number of PSW visa's are not aligned with that. After BREXIT, alot has changed. The government recognises that as well and are trying to bridge the gap as much as possible too, they are extremely short of skilled workers. The real catch is the PSW visa, the student visa is just a means to an end . I think you need to actually read the guidelines of the PSW visa in its entirety to have a grasp of the conditions. Please stop scaring people |

We all would eventually walk the part that we have chosen, there is absolutely no bed of roses anywhere in the world and you have to make the most of whatever circumstance you find yourself in. I have 3 kids, I was paying an average of N1.1M per term for school in Nigeria, for all three kids, and this to some is a lot while to others its small fires, to each his/her own. When I inspected schools in the Uk, and compared public schools in the UK to the private school I was paying for, the difference in facilities and tutoring was quite glaring. In the business term, thats a saving of N1.1M for me. Would I be bothered if I get taxed extra because my kids now go to a better school? Hell NO. All three are in public schools in the UK now, something I cant try here in Nigeria. My last, never loved school, all of a sudden he is always eager to go to school now, my daughter is excelling in maths, a subject her teacher always complained about in Nigeria. My son started football lessons, and he absolutely loves it, swimming is also done in-between. Obviously, the UK is not a bed of glittering roses, you would have to trade money for quality living, work your ass off to make ends met, but the beneficiary of all the hustle would be your children. A lot of money is involved in getting settled in the UK, for some its their entire life savings, and for some its just a tiny bit of savings, while some would end up borrowing for the same venture. They usually say, the end should justify the means, but you need to work smart and work hard. You would be amazed by how much you would save with the right information. Hear say wont get you far, regardless of the situation, people would always have differences in their thought process. The quality of life in Nigeria has been degraded by a lot, even in wealth, your average life expectancy in Nigeria is not guaranteed at 50. Some few weeks ago, millionaires and billionaires were groaning because of the non availability of diesel, it affected everyone. Billioniares literally have to drive in long convoy's and bullet proof cars to avoid stories that touch, their close family have to do same . The list is endless, the UK is an opportunity to try another way of life and compromise on a few things here in Nigeria. The reality is that, not everyone would be succesful, but it is worth the try. Absolutely better than doing nothing. Here in Nigeria, you still have to hustle, and work smart, so why not the Uk. What is being told, is so you prepare yourself for the unexpected, the internet should be your best buddy if you intend to relocate, every single resource is in there. My dad left the UK in 1975, he was always getting sick because of the cold. He worked for the department of education , and I shit you not, he is still getting his pension. Obviously its paltry, but would you believe a system paying pension to someone that left the system 47 years ago? This is why some are craving it. We can argue all we want but we cant compare both systems, yes, you get taxed a lot but your quality of life is greatly improved, and you would obviously see the reasons why you paying the tax. This place was started to help people have a clear view of how to go about studying in the Uk and remaining in the Uk, we can make inputs on what people should prepare themselves for, lots of inputs. Let the focus of the thread remain about studying in the Uk. |
Mobil567:55 hours is the equivalent of 11 hours per day, thats even more than the hours of full time employment, where is the time for school work? |
Solatium:When filling his application form for his study visa and he is asked for his spouse name and passport number, let's assume he made up the name, does he also make up the passport number ? There is a long history of situations like this, or similar to this on this same platform. The smartest thing is to accept responsibility and try and stop the lie. Whatever divorce document he produces would be fake ,and so it continues. |
