All airlines report to the home office or only British-owned airlines?

I flew back to Nigeria with Turkish Airlines

All airlines submit outbound manifest, the UK border control don't use exit stamps.

How do one know if they've got a 10yrs ban. I have a childhood friend whom i was lost contact with some years back. He heard i have relocated to the uk and he reached out to me via Facebook to ask how i did it. Explained everything to him and he told me his sad story. Back in 2020 before lockdown, he applied to the UK via an agent, while waiting for his visa application outcome, Nigeria happened to him. He was arrested in one of those crowd raiding by the Nigerian police and sent to kirikiri for 3yrs cos weed was found on him.

While in prison, he doesn't know what's going on with his application, he sent his brother to the agent and that one told him he should not go to TLS for his passport that something happened and he wasn't granted the visa. He kept pushing but agent blocked them, nothing to show the outcome. Eventually he let go and looked forward to his release. He's out now, he was able to get a new passport but still doesn't know the status of his previous application ( which he found out the agent might have used wrong information to apply for him). Told him, he might have been banned for 10yrs due to the oluwole docs used. But advised he try other country cos he can't try the UK until after 10yrs.

Requesting for your immigration history is the easiest solution, ask your friend to follow the link below to find out exactly what ukvi has on him.

Good morning

Flight tickets are ridiculous at the moment. I've just seen a one-stop flight at frankfurt, would I need transit visa if I book this?

someone told me there are exceptions if you hold a valid US or UK visa. Can anyone confirm?

If you have a valid US visa, then you won't be needing a transit visa .

Hello

Evidence of your travel history is not needed for your student visa so there is no need to submit it during biometrics

Cheers

Hi, not quite actually. Check guidelines from UKVI guidelines factors to consider for case workers , under attached CREDIBILTY FACTORS TO BE CONSIDERED , immigration history . If you have a healthy immigration history.

Guys does anyone know how i can get a dummy return ticket for PTA? These flight fees are too high and i need PTA and one way ticket.

Is it even a smart idea? Because I can't afford to buy black market rate i won't have money for remt

The banks would verify your ticket reference before selling you forex. It wasn't verified in the past but the process was abused by Nigerians again.

Hello @centuryman,sorry its coming late! Looks like a tight situation, the reason for a complete set of date on the Marriage certificate might be a good start. Thats assuming the real date is the one on the Passport. I dont think an affidavit can fix it though, dont really know much on the particular subject matter.

Quote the post

The issue of bank statements is literally straight forward but in the Nigerian context, its almost rocket science. We do have a lot of people using built accounts, and bank officers have been cashing out on students going to the UK. It is what it is. The onus is to tell people the truth and consequences of using such accounts. Whatever we say wont make it stop, Nigeria is at a certain brink and people are desperate. I believe everyone here is an adult, and people should be able to take responsibility for their actions or inactions. A good fraction of people on this platform are using built account, to deny this is equal to living in Disneyland. The job here is to educate people on consequences, you might be caught and banned. If you dont get caught, you will struggle in the UK, It is extremely difficult without saved funds.

That been said, we have had a few cases of misjudgement from UKVI about statements, and a handful of people have been able to reverse it, a case study is on Part 6,October 12 by @Ezriela. I have attached screen shots.

UKVI doesn't get it right all the time . They are humans after all .

Hello everyone... cc: Gloriyah, justwise

I received a conditional offer from RGU last week and I was told to pay my deposit..

My cousin lives in the UK. I want to send him the money so he will help me pay over there.. I don't want to use Form A to avoid delay..

Can it be done that way? Do U.K. schools accept payment from third parties..? Apart from my reference number, what else will be required when helping someone to make payment?

I sent a mail to RGU few days ago and they are yet to respond..

I am just curious, when you say "I want to send him the money ", what currency are you sending to him ?

So many misinformation on this thread because why are people canceling application because they've paid IHS & Visa fee and their PoF isn't ready? Perhaps @justwise needs to come and clarify it again & again.
Your application doesn't start until your BIOMETRICS day/when DMC receives your application which is usually the same day you have your biometrics at VAC! Why do you think people start counting working days after BIOMETRICS

Before you bring up that guy that got refused. His story isn't clear to start with because why isn't he sharing his refusal mail? He is only sharing the NSF he got. People won't tell you why they get refused and I think the guy is hiding something!!

I think the guy didn't keep the funds for 28 days and he got an NSF to provide a new statement of account but he couldn't because he had removed the funds from his account. He needs to come and put things straight because his misinformation is making people cancel application.

Finally, I will say follow who know road so you no go lost!!!!

Hello, you are mixing up the information erroneously. There is a date of application and there is the day your waiting period starts. The date of your visa application is the date you paid for your visa, which is also the same day you make ihs. This date is important because it is the date the visa officer would take into consideration when checking oanda rates.

For clarity, if you submit your application on the 2nd of july, the exchange rates on the 2nd of july is what they use to calculate the required funds.

When you make payment, you will also generate a pdf document of your application, and on that document, it is boldly written “ Date of visa application” i have attached a copy for your perusal .

Now, after you go for your biometrics, that day is referred to as when the waiting period starts. It is the date you start counting how long your application process is taking. The date of your biometrics is not the date of your application.

Hi,

Thanks for your concern. Firstly, I have checked the modules( as seen in the image attached) myself before applying. And it is exactly what is expected for a course titled "Robotics and Autonomous systems". Perhaps, your friends were not aware before they took it on.

Secondly, I have a very good experience with Python, Control, Robotics, data analysis and AI/Machine learning. In fact, I have certifications in these areas, so I do know what I'm getting into. Python is one of the key programming language used in the AI/Robotics field. So loads of Python programming is expected.

Thirdly, would you be kind enough to ask your friends if they had to submit their official transcript or the student copy was enough? I would appreciate it.

Once again, thanks for your input. And thanks in advance for the confirmation. I hope to get a reply from you with respect to my third point soon.

I like the way your head is screwed on properly. Fully aware of challenges and basking in it already, i love it.

Point me where it was stated that you are entitled to PSW after your study?
Condition's are always attached and if you think breaching 20hr a week is the only thing that can stand between you and PSW then you are dreaming.
Nothing,i mean nothing is cast in concrete, immigration rule's are evolving

Yes it guaranteed if you follow the guidelines, PSW is easier to get than the student visa. You dont need any money in your account for 28 days, no TB test required. PSW is the attraction and thats why students are flooding in.
The amount of students coming to the Uk has doubled just because of the PSW visa , the Uk government in itself cant afford not to grant a high number of PSW visa, they are extremely short of skilled workers.

They are making loads of money on visa application, but its nothing compared to what they need in terms of skilled workers. Any average Joe knows that. Your submissions on the issue sometimes seems short sighted.

Get a student visa, follow the rules and graduate, then apply for your PSW visa, you are almost 95% certain of getting it.The number of students coming in would drastically drop if the number of PSW visa's are not aligned with that.

After BREXIT, alot has changed. The government recognises that as well and are trying to bridge the gap as much as possible too, they are extremely short of skilled workers. The real catch is the PSW visa, the student visa is just a means to an end .

I think you need to actually read the guidelines of the PSW visa in its entirety to have a grasp of the conditions. Please stop scaring people

We all would eventually walk the part that we have chosen, there is absolutely no bed of roses anywhere in the world and you have to make the most of whatever circumstance you find yourself in.
I have 3 kids, I was paying an average of N1.1M per term for school in Nigeria, for all three kids, and this to some is a lot while to others its small fires, to each his/her own. When I inspected schools in the Uk, and compared public schools in the UK to the private school I was paying for, the difference in facilities and tutoring was quite glaring. In the business term, thats a saving of N1.1M for me. Would I be bothered if I get taxed extra because my kids now go to a better school? Hell NO. All three are in public schools in the UK now, something I cant try here in Nigeria.

My last, never loved school, all of a sudden he is always eager to go to school now, my daughter is excelling in maths, a subject her teacher always complained about in Nigeria. My son started football lessons, and he absolutely loves it, swimming is also done in-between.

Obviously, the UK is not a bed of glittering roses, you would have to trade money for quality living, work your ass off to make ends met, but the beneficiary of all the hustle would be your children.

A lot of money is involved in getting settled in the UK, for some its their entire life savings, and for some its just a tiny bit of savings, while some would end up borrowing for the same venture.
They usually say, the end should justify the means, but you need to work smart and work hard. You would be amazed by how much you would save with the right information. Hear say wont get you far, regardless of the situation, people would always have differences in their thought process.

The quality of life in Nigeria has been degraded by a lot, even in wealth, your average life expectancy in Nigeria is not guaranteed at 50. Some few weeks ago, millionaires and billionaires were groaning because of the non availability of diesel, it affected everyone. Billioniares literally have to drive in long convoy's and bullet proof cars to avoid stories that touch, their close family have to do same . The list is endless, the UK is an opportunity to try another way of life and compromise on a few things here in Nigeria.

The reality is that, not everyone would be succesful, but it is worth the try. Absolutely better than doing nothing. Here in Nigeria, you still have to hustle, and work smart, so why not the Uk.

What is being told, is so you prepare yourself for the unexpected, the internet should be your best buddy if you intend to relocate, every single resource is in there.
My dad left the UK in 1975, he was always getting sick because of the cold. He worked for the department of education , and I shit you not, he is still getting his pension. Obviously its paltry, but would you believe a system paying pension to someone that left the system 47 years ago? This is why some are craving it.

We can argue all we want but we cant compare both systems, yes, you get taxed a lot but your quality of life is greatly improved, and you would obviously see the reasons why you paying the tax.

This place was started to help people have a clear view of how to go about studying in the Uk and remaining in the Uk, we can make inputs on what people should prepare themselves for, lots of inputs. Let the focus of the thread remain about studying in the Uk.

Yes, it is quite shocking how his friend scaled through. They work at the same care agency, the same school too. But like they say... every day for the thief, one day for the owner. In his case, he got caught (didn't tell him this sha).. because I have to sympathise with him. But it shows that doing what's right, is always the best. He was working sometimes over 55 hours a week as mentioned in the letter.

55 hours is the equivalent of 11 hours per day, thats even more than the hours of full time employment, where is the time for school work?

Loopholes are deliberately created by authorities all over the world including the UKVI themselves, these loopholes are also explored by state to perpetuate what is call STATE SPONSORED CRIME

When filling his application form for his study visa and he is asked for his spouse name and passport number, let's assume he made up the name, does he also make up the passport number ? There is a long history of situations like this, or similar to this on this same platform. The smartest thing is to accept responsibility and try and stop the lie.

log into your web online banking, click on FX transactions, then click FX transactions to other banks, then click on new request and fill the required details.Transaction would be done in USD but Pounds will be credited to the receiver at the current exchange rate. You also have the option of paying for the offshore charges in Naira.

PLEASE ADVISE:

My spouse and I want to apply and travel with my 2 kids and nephew.
We are dependents, she’s the principal applicant.
My nephew has been living with me even before I got married.

His dad - my younger brother, had him with a lady while they were still very young and in school. The lady’s parents never wanted anything to do with my nephew solely because my brother was of a different religion. So I took him in and he’s been my responsibility since birth.

Fortunately, my wife has no issues with him living with us after marriage, so he’s been with us and we now have 2 kids of ours.

My brother is now married, although my nephew still lives with me because we had an agreement with his wife that we don’t mind mind and would keep taking care of him so they could ‘enjoy’ their marriage.

My nephew’s Mum is still single but not ready or willing to take custody of him.

My kids and my nephew are now so attached! They’ve done everything together and attended same schools. They see him as the first born - their big bro.

What do we need to reduce his chances of visa denial?
What do we need to do proactively for a seamless or fairly hitch-free application?

We intend to put in our visa applications soon.

Kindly help, gurus!

You have to legally adopt him.
