Good morning. Please who knows where to take janssen vaccine in Lagos and how much. Thanks.

The vaccine is free, i do know it landed in Abuja, not sure if they have started giving shots in lagos. You best bet would be to visit any vaccination center, they would surely know where it’s available

Hello,
Guys that travelled recently through MMIA, did you pay for any service there like packaging or wrapping. Did the officers there request for 'sorting'? I need to know how much naira to prepare for. Thanks

Dear Sir, knowledge in modern day travel is invaluable. If you know your onions properly, you dont have to pay anyone. Most immigration officers at the airport always prey on naivety. You have your permit to travel(visa), you are not carrying contarabands, you paid your full tickets then why are you worried?

A lot of people dont even know what items they are allowed to travel with, and thats where your problems would start. Because they would exploit your ignorance, Nigeria is Nigeria and everyone is hungry and trying to hustle, if you allow them to extort you, they would extort you to the fullest.

Ignorance is expensive, you cant afford it.

If you equip yourself well with the right info, you would travel without paying one Naira. The Airline you are using is already charging you passenger service fee, you just have to show up and travel. Dont let anyone exploit you. I will try and do a travel checklist soon enough, hopefully I have the time .

The vaccine card contain only age and not date of birth as required by UK government. Has anyone beaten this?

If you got vaccinated in Nigeria, you would have been issued a Vaccine card with biometric strip on it, usually located at the bottom right of the card. If you have a smart phone, open your camera and attempt to take a pic of that biometric strip, it would automatically give you a link ,click on that link and it would redirect you to your details and vaccination history.

That history contains your full name, your vaccination ID,how many doses you took, the date you took it, the type of vaccine, the batch No,and your date of birth . It is authenticated and accepted as Proof.

There is nothing to beat, it is accepted for travel, just equip yourself with the right information.

I said I will come back someday to share this testimony. On may 29 2021someone brought Slimdolyin issued up here that he used fake statement cos I knew abt his case I stood my ground . Today I am glad to announce that his AR came out positive despite he was bin judged by ECO on nairaland, thank God man no be God. Olorun agbaye oooo, you are mighty ooo
ALERT ALERT

I want to thank everyone one on this group for checking on me and also the show of love ❤️ I appreciate.

I was the guy UKVI refused his visa and also top it up with 10years ban because of 4naira miscalculation.

Everything started in January2021 when I used fidelity bank statement for my POF which was very very Okay but to my greatest surprise I was refused. In the refusal letter nothing was said about BAN so thought I could reapply to another school instead of waiting for outcome of AR also I was told I needed a letter from the bank stating the statement was genuine but bank was not responding.

Fast forward to 22nd of June when I got another refusal that any other application I make for the next 10years will refused because I have used deception in a previous application.

I quickly went to Fidelity bank Head office in V.I to show them the refusal letter and what could be done but they keep telling me a mail has been sent to their audit department for review and I should wait omo I waited for 3days without nothing. On the fourth day I went to their office very early in the morning to para omo Na so I start to Dey remove cloth ooo finally someone from their legal department came to talk to me and I followed them.

After reviewing the refusal letter they said if UKVI needed better explanation why the statement was like that they should have contacted them directly so they gave me a letter that the statement was genuine and I also wrote a letter quoting their law because in the immigration law in think in paragraph 9.7.3 or so it state and I quote IF THE CASEWORKING OFFICER DONT UNDERSTAND A DOCUMENT EVEN AFTER IT HAS BEEN VERIFIED FROM THE THIRD PARTY THE APPLICANT SHOULD EITHER BE MAILED OR CALLED FOR BETTER EXPLANATION but none of this was done.

Finally after 95days of my AR I got a mail with apology and also that the BAN as been removed from my name/record.

In the 95days my BP was between 110/143

I was broke

I barely eat & sleep

I got angry so fast

I was like the world should come to an end

I started have anxiety

People said all kinds of things to me that statement was from oluwole and so on.

I just thank God I wasn’t put to shame

Courage under fire, well done. I remember the circumstances so well, Go and be great.

My dependents(my husband and 3 children)applied for visa on 22nd September, on 30th September, the Visas of my husband and 2 children came out while 1 dependents collection mail hasn't dropped yet.I placed a paid call and was told it's still under consideration. The dependent awaiting visa is an American citizen so can I travel with her with her American passport and when the passport comes out, someone can pick it up and DHL to me. Does anyone have an idea?

Your child should be able to travel with her US passport but there are underlying issues that might pose a hindrance. For one DHL won’t carry international passport across border. The dependant visa would usually be valid for the specified time limit on the visa on it, assuming it’s 3 months then within that period the child has to cross the border with it . What if she is not able to do it within three months?

If your ask me, if you are really pressed to travel , I would suggest the dad stays with her and wait for the passport while you travel with the others, then they can join later.

You should also check with DHL, I tried to send a passport sometime in 2009 and that’s when I was told they don’t carry international passport across borders. They would only carry within any country

My opinion

Many thanks for this link.

I have tried to apply for decision letter via this link but got stuck at the point where a UK address was requested.

Please advise on how someone not resident in the UK can make this application.

Thank you

Hi, considering the fact that most people requesting immigration history are not usually resident in Uk, I personally find that question of residential address annoying. That being said , I believe you should be able to use a forwarding address or either any family member or friend you have in the UK.

You can request your immigration history from UKVI, one month is stated as the time frame for getting the information to you but it might come sooner .

Congratulations to those who just arrived UK. Please I would like to know if you booked for pre departure covid 19 test for your kids below 14years. And also the day 2 and 8 test

The rules have changed a bit, New set of rules would start tomorrow . Your kids below 14 would not be required to take a pre departure test from Tomorrow and would only have to pay for day 2 test, with no quarantine mandate as well. For the Parents, you would need to have been fully vaccinated with your second shot taken at least 14 days before your travel date to be qualify for same .

Note that he used an agent to apply and therefore didn't get any refusal letter from the agent.

You got it all wrong. Before announcing for inclusion on 11th, it was in the UK website. It was generalized. For the benefits of doubt for people like you was the reason they are spelling it out for 11th. Even as it is, your brothers, the immigration guys will still not allow people to travel even after the 11th, because they don't read.

I actually feel sorry for you at this point. Comprehension is your issue .

@Babababy and co. This is for you. I told you guys that if your country is not on the RED LIST, you don't have to take the predeparture test. One of you was asking me if na boat I want use go.

You again, lol. I asked you you post your reference yesterday but you couldn’t. I am certain you actually understand the mandate but you one of those that find it difficult to admit errors.

What Qatar posted on their site is for the four categories of vaccination class the Uk recognizes for now,
1. NHS {UK}
2.CDC {US}
3. EU digital certificates {EU}
4. The listed countries vaccine certificates

Nigeria doesn’t get on that list till Monday.
The new updates that includes Nigeria takes effect from Monday 11th of October. If your stubbornness propels you enough then travel to uk before monday and don’t do a test or book day 2 and 8.

Travelers leaving today are still required to do same till monday. Go to the Uk government website for genuine info Sir.

Please stop dissipating wrong info, you will eventually mislead someone traveling between now and monday and make them miss their flight.

For those that entered UK recently and paid for day 2 and day 8 test.
1. How much is the affordable price range and how did u pay for it (is it through naira master card or british pounds sterling)
2. Which option ( self swab on site or self swab at home)

No knowledge is lost... please share your experience

Affordable is relative, there is no set price and on that list you would find test kit of £600 and also as low £15.

some are expensive because its provider supervised at your home, meaning they come to your place to take the test.(I see absolutely no reason for this option), while Some low end kits are swabs taking on site. Now you cant literally choose that because you should be isolating, but if you find a provider very close to your isolation site, then perhaps you can and I mean walking distance. A couple of people have chosen that option .

Unfortunately the Nigerian bank cards are becoming absolutely useless, but if you choose a kit below £50, you can try the card, otherwise a Dom assisted card might be your best option.

Please help me with this information. It is very URGENT. No time to waste....pls

There are a number of test providers sprawled across the UK, once you know where you would be isolation ,its best to pick a provider close to your geographic location to facilitate ease of delivery on time.
Follow the link attached, select the self swab at home option and fill in your geographic location, you should get different hits and then select which ever tickles your fancy.

Yes Nigeria is not listed. The process is quit simple. If you have been vaccinated in Nigeria, you will not need any predeparture test again. You will however, book for only day 2 test in uk. You will book it before you travel. No quarantine.
If on the other hand, you have not been vaccinated, you do predeparture test, book day 2 and 8 test and still do quarantine.

So choose the one you like.

The process is quite simple you say?I am not sure you read the attached link properly, Nigeria is not on the list and travellers from Nigeria have to follow rules for people who do not qualify as fully vaccinated. Please go an read and digest again

They only recognise
1. NHS COVID Pass .(UK)
2. EU Digital Covid certificate (EU)
3.Center for Disease Control and Prevention vaccination Card (US)
4. Vaccine Certificates of countries listed on the site.

Again Nigeria is not listed ,and its quite simple to understand.

Boss I got unconditional offer to Greenwich but I’ve been getting advice here and there that I should not apply with my 4 defendants as the Uk will think I’m running from my country but seeing yours now I’m thinking of giving it a try then again I don’t want to take any chances I will like to have your contact to put me through like how much did you use as POF please help a brother

Thanks

We all need to careful where you source information from, always make sure you use available tools and double check info even if it’s coming from people you might consider learned, exposed or in Nairaland terms “ guru” always do your due deligence. Fact checking would save your money

The dependent visa is set up so students can bring their families over to the UK legally, so if they expect you to bring your family then they obviously know the implications. In the early stages of this platform, we have had situations where a student applied alone without her dependant husband and was refused because she didn’t have a valid reason for why her husband wasn’t traveling with her. In the same vein some have applied without spouse and got the visa, there is absolutely no secret to it, if your intentions are straight forward and you have all your funds then apply with all your family, it is not illegal and if you ask me, your chances are higher applying together.

Regarding POF, go read page one with a pen and paper or a calculator, all your answers are in there and well tabled out by the facilitator of the thread. The knowledge in there is invaluable.

Back to due diligence, if you open your web browser and type in “ how much do I need for a family of five for ukvi student and dependent visa “ you would be overwhelmed with information, and part of the hits you would get would also redirect you to same Nairaland.

And then, the ultimate resource is the ukvi website, every single information regarding this process is in there.

Even when you get info you don’t need at the moment, you can still learn and help someone with the same info in future. This venture is very expensive, and some only have one chance at it, you can’t afford to be swallowing second hand information.

You can alternatively book a Air BndB, and use that address. Thats what I did, you dont have to pay for it, just make sure to cancel the bookings before the dates, i think usually they would charge within the week of arrival . Some people used the school address as well. You also have the option of your current location.

Essentially, you can carry out any 'offline' business as long as its not reported to HMRC.

For example, you can be consulting for a business in Korea and they pay you your salary by direct credit to your account as services rendered, then you're fine.

The second illustration: 20 hours does not mean you cannot earn far more than someone who is engaged full time.
For example: You can be engaged 20 hrs but earning £40 per hour(depends on your skill set and the service you can produce). That brings your monthly salary to about £3200 per month.

And please don't ask me what kind of jobs are those. People need to be very creative.

Essentially, be creative but don't break the law.

NB: I know 90% will do care jobs and security but atleast the remaining 10% need to hear that there's something else out there.

I am afraid its illegal, your 20hrs is restricted both online and offline as long as you are getting paid for it . You need to fully understand the limitations, you cant even own a blog and be getting paid while doing more than the time allocated by ukvi, please open the link

It’s written on my wife’s visa
Does the restriction means she can’t work ?
I’m confused

All dependants visa have a restriction on it, what was on your wife's vignette is " Restricted work No Sportperson No Public funds",which means the nature of the restriction is No Sportsperson related work and cant use public funds...No restriction on time, she can work full time. What you are focusing on is the first two words "Restricted work", but its a full sentence and you must read together.

Children under 5 are not required to undergo finger print scan, just her facial scan . There have been numerous cases here of family applications not coming out together .

Glory be to God

Guys my wife is about 7months preg some people done dey put fear for my mind that they won’t let her fly how true and please what can be done cos I’m about to book the ticket now

Airlines have different policies for travel, be sure to check the specific policy of travel of the particular Airline you may want to choose.Below is Virgin Atlantic travel policy . Above all and regardless of the Airline you choose, you must get a FIT TO FLY from her doctor, the FTF must state how far gone she is and her estimated due date.

As long as you haven’t experienced any complications during your pregnancy, you can fly until your 28th week without needing to tell us. Beyond the 28th week, you’ll need to take note of the guidelines below.

Single pregnancy

If you're expecting one baby and want to travel between your 28th and 36th weeks, we’ll need you to travel with a certificate from your doctor. The certificate should state that you have had no complications and your estimated delivery date. We don’t need to see this in advance, but it might be asked for at the airport or onboard. Travel may be delayed or denied if you do not have this if asked.

It's important to remember to include your return travel within these dates.

After your 36th week, you mustn't fly unless there are mitigating circumstances - which you can find listed below.

Multiple pregnancy

If you're expecting more than one baby and want to travel between your 28th and 32nd weeks, again you'll need to travel with a doctor's certificate stating you've had no complications and your estimated delivery date. Travel may be delayed or denied if you don't have your certificate available if asked.

You mustn't fly after the end of your 32nd week. Please do remember to include your return travel date in this time frame.

Travelling after the cut-off date

For travel after the 36th week for single pregnancies, or after the 32nd week for multiple pregnancies, we can only carry you for urgent medical or compassionate reasons, and only on approval from our medical advisors.

We may also ask that a suitable medical attendant accompany you. Please contact our Special Assistance team for more details.

Can someone explain to me better ??

If anyone is having issues with delays in regards your Form A or PTA , send an email to your banks head office stating the urgency and in same email copy CBN and also copy the local branch if your have the address. Email address for CBN is cpd@cbn.gov.ng and forexcomplaint@cbn.gov.ng . They will sort your issue out in record time after your email.

A while back in June, if my memory serves me correctly! quite a number of individuals came here asking questions about single ladies who are applying alone for student visa. One guy in particular was asking the single ladies to contact him privately for further details ,my guess back then was marriage arrangement for visa purposes.

Fast forward, and suddenly alot of individuals are having trouble with proving their marriage status to ukvi ,seems like people that are not genuinely married have been sending in application hence the scrutiny to marriage applications. The flip side of this, is that both genuine and fake marriages would be giving the same treatment thus making it frustrating for the genuine applicants.

I honestly hope people dont mess up this process through bad behaviour, ukvi would be forced to change some rules if people persist with this type of bad behaviour.

We have completed our Isolation and we have no symptoms whatsoever but when reading about retest online I came across a piece that said you can still test positive for covid 19 for up to 9 weeks even after recovery.

I want to go for another test this week and I'm scared.

For those that have gone through this kind of experience in the past, how did you do it?

Is there a kind of waiver for people who tested positive and recovered recently?

Is there another type of less sensitive covid test that is meant for people in this category and also acceptable by airline operators?

I look forward to your valuable advice.
