That being said, we are in the age of "do whatever you wanna do--middle finger to the society".  If you're happy living a marriage-less life; Great! If you're unhappy without a man, get married (if that would solve your problem). If you've found love and wish to get married. Sweet! Just do you.

Well for how long did they expect to carry on with the falsehood they were living? Surely, the subsidies could not have gone on forever and was only a matter of time before the system was dismantled?

The removal of subsidy is not even the issue on this thread. The issue is how some people think it's "normal" to protest against the removal from another continent; over the ocean; thousands of miles away.


I don't know what plans the government (SURE) have for the 'subsidy money'. What I know is, all we need is TIME (50-60 yrs). TIME to see how well this removal would work out.

Is marriage everything in life? Is marriage the secret to happiness or what? If not, why is there a huge pressure on girls to married? Especially in our African communities.

Some parents do not even care whether you've found someone you love, all they care about is you getting marry and giving them grand kids.

Well infact there not many successful marriages out there, so why is marriage so overrated?

Let them protest in the UK, so the British can complain of too many foreigners in their country with cases as such protest to point as example.
