@pilgrim My dear babs787, you had only hoped that I would 'eat back my words'. . but sorry, your islamic games did not start today, and I've noted that many times before. No need for your ranting. You accused muslims of diverting topic in other thread but here your sister did what you accused muslims of. Dont you have anything to say to that rather than going round in circles. You know that babs is always here for you anytime his attention is needed. The topic still is: Imagine a worldwide ban on bibles. Dear nooru,Do you want us to go into history and corruption of the bible again? |
@davidylan@nwando QuoteLet us go into the book of proverb Proverb 26 v 4: when arguing with FOOLS, dont answer their foolish arguments, or you will become as FOOLISH as they are. Na your bible talk am. ![]() |
@pilgrim I thought it is muslims that have been deflecting topics but here we are seeing christian doing same, distracting topics and muslims have been following suit. This should be christianity game now!!! Are you going to eat your words because your sister disgraced you by changing topic? Let me add this Marriage by force by fire Deuteronomy 25 v 5: If brothers dwell together and one of them dies and has no son, the wife of the dead shall not be married outside of the family to a stranger, her husband's brother shall go into her, and take her as his wife. WHAT IF HE REFUSES?? Deuteronomy 25 v 7: and if the man does not wish to take his brother's wife then his brother's wife shall go up to the gate of the elders and say: 'my husband's brother refuses to perpetuate his brother's name in Israel, then the elders of his city shall call him. And if he persists. Then his brother's wofe shall go up to him in the presence of the elders and pull his sandal off to his foot and spit in his face and shll answer and say; 'so it shall be done to the man who does not build up his brother's house. And the name of his house shall be called in Israel. The house of him that had his sandal pulled off. CAN SOMEBODY TELL ME THE MORAL BEHIND THE STORY? {Deuteronomy 22:28-30}: "If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and assaults her and they are discovered, he shall pay the girl's father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the girl, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives" It means that the girl must love him by force by fire Voodoo and Superstition in the Bible: Leviticus 14 v 49 To purify the house he is to take two birds and some cedar wood, scarlet yarn and hyssop. 50 He shall kill one of the birds over fresh water in a clay pot. 51 Then he is to take the cedar wood, the hyssop, the scarlet yarn and the live bird, dip them into the blood of the dead bird and the fresh water, and sprinkle the house seven times. 52 He shall purify the house with the bird's blood, the fresh water, the live bird, the cedar wood, the hyssop and the scarlet yarn. 53 Then he is to release the live bird in the open fields outside the town. In this way he will make atonement for the house, and it will be clean." Please, how is the killing of any bird and use of cedar wood supposed to physically clean or purify any house? It is clear that this is a voodoo and superstitious practice. |
@mrpataki Posted by mrpatakiWhy would you do that and please start preaching to me right away ![]() |
Alhamdulilah!Yes thats what I have been praying for and Allah finally answered my prayer. He is now organising prayers for his departed parents, though they died as christians. He still believes that Allah is Merciful and will pardon them. your iman strong no be small! Its not an easy job o. It is normal for one to feel bad when you know that someone is going or has gone astray. One can only preach but acceptance lies with Allah. I saw the light through a prominent religious comparator called Abdul Lateef Adebowale but now late. He started the Izharul Haqq Dawah. May Allah forgives him his sins and grant him Al Jannah Firdaus. I could remember when I told my people that no more clapping but bowing and prostrating, they all thought something had gone wrong with me but Alhamdulillah, my family have all accepted the light but has continue praying for my uncles, aunts, etc because some are Jehovah Witness members, Redeem, Deeper Life etc in which the latter doesnt have nor permit watching Tv in his house. Allah Akbar Enough felicitation ![]() |
Salam I am the happiest man on earth. My aged father just reverted (accepted Islam) this Holy month of Ramadhan. He first called me on phone at the start of the fasting that he would be fasting during the month and decided to accept Islam. I thought that he was just pulling my legs since we have all preached to him with proofs to no avail. I called a brother of mine closer to him and he confirmed same to me. I went to his house and Alhamdulillah, the story remained same. He had made the Shahadah, learnt Surah Fatiha and three shortest Surahs. When the fasting got to 20, my father made sure that he gave sawn and Iftah to people who are fasting. He also told me that he is doing all these in order to make up for the days he'd been dancing about because he never knew if this may be his last time on earth. My simblings and I were happy and are still happy for him because we have been praying and thinking of how that day would be without Islam in his life and Alhamdulillah, he has accepted, started praying too and completed his fasting too. Tory too much jare .Pls help me felicitate. Maa Salam |
@I-man @ pataki I have been made victorious with terror per Mohammad (Sahih Bukhari,Book 52,Vol 220)Why cant you be honest to yourself? You should have given me the full Quotation of the Hadith. May God forgive you for trying to deceive yourself. @ babs787,You dont have to wait for long . Since most of you have decided to be lifting out of context or giving part sayings, I have decided to paste the hadith so that you all can benefit and learn.Happy reading, Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "I have been sent with the shortest expressions bearing the widest meanings, and I have been made victorious with terror (cast in the hearts of the enemy), and while I was sleeping, the keys of the treasures of the world were brought to me and put in my hand." Abu Huraira added: Allah's Apostle has left the world and now you, people, are bringing out those treasures (i.e. the Prophet did not benefit by them). Self explanatory!! |

Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Raheem Lailatul-Qadr (The Night of Power-Decree or Honour) Allah the Almighty has immortalised this honourable NIGHT in the everlasting miracle of Islam, the Holy Quran, in a single Surah called 'Al-Qadr' or the Night of power, honour and decree. Here are its verses: In the Name of Allah, The Beneficient, The Merciful [97v1] We revealed it (Quran) in the Night of Destiny. [97v2] How awesome is the Night of Destiny! [97v3] The Night of Destiny is better than a thousand months. [97v4] The angels and the Spirit descend therein, by their Lord's leave, to carry out every command. [97v5] Peaceful it is until the advent of the dawn. Sayyib Qutb, while elucidating some of the hidden and open secrets which this Surah is teemed with, says, 'this Surah speaks about the promised great night which the whole universe marked with joy and prayers. It is the night of perfect communication between this world and the Highest Society. It is the night which marked the beginning of the revelation of the Quran to Muhammed (saw), an event unparralleled in the history of mankind for its splendour and the significance it has for the life of mankind as a whole. Its greatness is far beyond human realization'. 'Its title THE NIGHT OF POWER may be taken to mean assignment, designation and organization, or it may mean value, position and rank. Both meanings are relevant to that great universal event of the revelation of the Quran and the assignment of thr message to the Prophet Muhammad (saw). Abdul Hamid Siddiq, in his valuable explanatory notes on Sahih Muslim, says: 'This night has innumerable blessings in store for the Muslims since it is an anniversary of the revelation of the Holy Quran. The Angels descend to the God-loving people with the infinte reward on His behalf.' On the other hand, Mr. Muhyyddin Misto in his book 'As- Sawn' says: this night has gotthree distinguishing features: 1. It is better than a thousand months i.e spending it in good deeds such as prayer, reading the Quran, supplications, etc equals the reward of that of 1,000 months. 2. The angels descend in it - by the permission of their Lord - for every commandment. 3. It is peace till the break of the morning. 4. Allah has concealed the Night of Power in the last ten days of Ramadhan so that the Muslims may seek it, their keeness (for faith and worship) may grow and all their nights during the concluding part of the month be spent in prayers as was the case with the Sacred Prophetl Sayyid Qutb, in Zilal Al-Quran says: we, the believers in Islam, are commanded not to forget or neglect this event. The Prophet has taught us an easy and enjoyable way to commemorate that night, so that our souls may always be in close communion with it and the universal event which took place in it. He has urged us tp spend this night of each year in devotion. He (saw) said: 'seek the Night of Power in the last ten nights of Ramadhan'.' He who spends the night of power in worship, with a pure motive of faith and devotion, will have his past sins forgiven'. LAILATUL-QADR, without a doubt, is not fixed at a certain night and there is no exact date for it. It is related by Aisha that: 'the Prophet used to say that one should seek the Night of Power in the ODD Nights of the last ten days of Ramadhan'. The spiritual experiences of Lailatul Qadr differ with different persons and the experience of one does not make it a final judgement for the others. The general explanation given for it is that the person who is fortunate enough to have the spiritual of Lailatul Qadr perceives such an immensely grand celestial light that the light of the Sun pales into significance before him and he feels as if the sun has been bereft of its light. This blessed night must be spent in 1. Offering prayers individually or collectively. 2. Allah's remembrance, reciting the Quran, supplication 3. performing both of the I'sha (Night) and Fajr (dawn) prayers in congregation. Since invocation is the essence of worship, according to the sound Hadith, we should spend some time begging Allah, the Almighty, to grant us His condonation. In the sound Hadith concerning the supplication on the Night of Power 'O Allah! You are forgiving and you love forgiveness, grant me forgiveness. Aishah (radhiya Allahu Ta'ala anha), that she said: "O Messenger of Allah! What if I knew which night Lailatul-Qadr was, then what should I say in it?" He said 'Say Allahumma innaka 'affuwwun tuhibbul 'afwa fa'fu 'anni' " (O Allah You are The One Who pardons greatly, and loves to pardon, so pardon me.) [at Tirmidhi] May Allah (SWT) make it easier for us. As-Salam Alaekun Warahmatullah Wabarakatuh |
Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Raheem Fellow Muslim brothers and sisters, Alhamdulillah we have entered into yet another last ten (10) days of the Holy month of Ramadhan in which the Night of Power (Lailatul-Qadr) falls but we do not know the actual date among the ten days. In order not to miss the Blessed Night, we should endeavor to increase our Faith by waking up in the middle of the night to observe our Nawafil and read the Glorious Quran. Before I will go to what the Blessed Night is all about, I will first talk on I'tikaf which means seclusion. What is I'tikaf? It means literally to stay in a place or seclusion. Technically, it is staying in a mosque for a certain number of days (or hours during any part of the year), especially the last ten days of the month of Ramadhan. The idea behind I'TIKAF (SECLUSION) is to exhirt the Muslims to devote themselves exclusively to prayer and devotion at least for a few days during the year in order to develop deep God-consciousness, because it is this consciousness which is the fountain head of a Muslim's thought and deed. I'tikaf is, in fact, the next stage of fasting in spiritual development and purification of soul. During the days of I'tikaf, The Mu'takif (the person observing I'tikaf) dissociates himself from all worldly affairs and spends his time in prayer and supplication. Abu Hasan Ali Nadawi, commenting on I'tikaf says "I'tikaf is the completion of the benefits of fasting. If a Muslim has remained denied of inner peace and tranquility and has not been able to concentrate on prayer and supplication during the earlier part of Ramadhan, he can make ammends for it through I'tikaf. The Holy Prophet (saw) always observed I'tikaf and the Muslims, on the whole, adhered to. It has become a regular feature of the month of Ramadhan and a confirmed practice with the devout and the faithful.Aisha (Allah be pleased with her) relates that "The Prophet (saw) used to practice I'tikaf in the last ten days of Ramadhan till he died. On the other hand, this does not mean that I'tikaf is obligatory. It is, according to all schools of Islam, a stressed Sunnah. Pillars The Pillars of I'tikaf are: 1. Making the intention of secluding and retiring into the Mosque for devotion. 2. Observing this form of worship-I'tikaf-in a mosque Not in any other place. Conditions The I'tikaf may be valid under these conditions: The Mu'takif must be a Muslim, pure, mumayiz (has the power of discrimination) and if a woman, free from menses and the bleeding of confinement. General Principles 1. The Mu'takif is advised to spend time in reading the the HOLY QURAN, remebering Allah, offering optional prayers, learning and all other similar good deeds. 2. The Mu'takif is not allowed to enter the house except for some of his needs such as answering the call of nature, purification and fetching food. 3. He is allowed to eat and drink and sleep in the mosque. 4. He has to go to another mosque to offer the Jummuah (Friday) prayer if it is not observed in the mosque which he stays in. 5. Sexual intercourse and its rousers spoil I'tikaf. 6. Losing any of the conditions or pillars discussed above makes I'tikaf useless and unsatisfactory. May Allah accept our Ibaadah (Amin) |

Salam Alaykum Warahmatullah Wa Barkatuh LETS PONDER Praise be to Allaah. Time is of the essence, it is too precious to be wasted or neglected. The wise person is the one who pays attention to his time and does not treat it as a vessel to be filled with cheap things and vain talk. Instead, he limits it to worthy efforts and righteous deeds that please Allaah and benefit other people. Every minute of a person’s life carries the potential to raise his own status and to make his people happier, little by little. If you are keen to attain the highest position, and bring the most happiness to your people, then forget about relaxing and keep away from empty amusement. In one minute you can do a lot of good and earn much reward. In just one minute, by giving in charity, studying, memorizing, or striving to do good deeds, you can make sure that this minute of your life is not wasted. One minute may be recorded in your book of good deeds if you know how to make the most of it and take care of it: Strive to make the most of each minute If you forget it, you forget the most important thing, the truth. There follows a list of things that can be done in one minute, by the permission of Allaah: 1. In one minute you can recite Soorat al-Faatihah 3 times, reciting rapidly and silently. Some scholars said that the reward for reading al-Faatihah is more than 600 hasanahs, so if you read it 3 times you will, by the permission of Allaah, gain more than 1800 hasanahs – all of that in one minute. 2. In one minute you can recite Soorat al-Ikhlaas (Qul Huwa Allaahu Ahad) 20 times, reciting rapidly and silently. Reciting it once is equivalent to one-third of the Qur’aan. If you read it 20 times it is equivalent to reading the Qur’aan 7 times. If you read it 20 times in one minute each day, you will have read it 600 times in one month, and 7200 times in one year, which will be equal in reward to reading the Qur’aan 2400 times. 3. You can read one page of the Book of Allaah in one minute. 4. You can memorize a short aayah of the Book of Allaah in one minute. 5. In one minute you can say Laa ilaaha ill-Allaah wahdahu laa shareeka lah, lahu’l-mulk wa lahu’l-hamd wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadeer (There is no god except Allaah alone with no partner; to Him be dominion and praise, and He is Able to do all things) – 20 times. The reward for saying this is like freeing 8 slaves for the sake of Allaah from among the sons of Ismaa’eel. 6. In one minute you can say Subhaan Allaahi wa bi hamdihi (Glory and praise be to Allaah) 100 times. Whoever says that in one day will be forgiven for his sins even if they are like the foam of the sea. 7. In one minute you can say Subhaan Allaahi wa bi hamdihi Subhaan Allaah il-‘Azeem (Glory and praise be to Allaah, glory be to Allaah the Almighty) 50 times. These are two phrases which are light on the lips, heavy in the balance and beloved to the Most Merciful, as was narrated by al-Bukhaari and Muslim. 8. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “When I say ‘Subhaan Allaah, wa’l-hamdu Lillah, wa laa ilaah ill-Allaah, wa Allaahu akbar (Glory be to Allaah, praise be to Allaah, there is no god except Allaah, and Allaah is Most Great)’, this is more beloved to me than all that the sun rises upon.” (Narrated by Muslim). In one minute, you can say all of these words more than 18 times. These words are the most beloved words to Allaah, the best of words, and they weigh heavily in the balance of good deeds, as was narrated in the saheeh ahaadeeth. 9. In one minute you can say, Laa hawla wa laa quwwata illa Billaah (there is no strength and no power except with Allaah) more than 40 times. This is one of the treasures of Paradise, as was narrated by al-Bukhaari and Muslim. They are a means of putting up with difficulties and of aiming to achieve great things. 10. In one minute you can say Laa ilaaha ill-Allaah approximately 50 times. This is the greatest word, for it is the word of Tawheed, the good word, the word that stands firm. If these are the last words of a person, he will enter Paradise, and there are other reports which indicate how great these words are. 11. In one minute you can say Subhaan Allaah wa bi hamdih, ‘adada khalqihi, wa ridaa nafsihi, wazinata ‘arshihi, wa midaada kalimaatihi (Glory and praise be to Allaah, as much as the number of His creation, as much as pleases Him, as much as the weight of His Throne and as much as the ink of His words) more than 15 times. This words bring many more times the reward for other forms of tasbeeh and dhikr, as was reported in saheeh ahaadeeth from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). 12. In one minute you can seek the forgiveness of Allaah more than 100 times by saying “Astaghfir-Allaah (I seek the forgiveness of Allaah). The virtues of seeking forgiveness are no secret, for it is the means of attaining forgiveness and entering Paradise, and it is the means of being granted a good life, increasing one’s strength, warding off disasters, making things easier, bringing rain and increasing one’s wealth and children. 13. You can say a few brief and concise words in one minute, and Allaah may bring about some good through them that you could never imagine. 14. In one minute you can send blessings on the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) 50 times by saying Sall-Allaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam (May Allaah bless him and grant him peace). In return Allaah will send blessings upon you 500 hundred times because one blessing brings ten like it. 15. In one minute you can motivate your heart to give thanks to Allaah, to love Him, to fear Him, to put hope in Him, to long for Him, and thus travel through the stages of ‘uboodiyyah (total enslavement to Allaah). You could do this when you are lying on your bed or walking in the street. 16. In one minute you can read more than two pages of a useful book that is easy to understand. 17. In one minute you can uphold the ties of kinship by calling a relative on the phone. 18. You can raise your hands and recite any du’aa’ you wish from the books of du’aa’, in one minute. 19. You can say salaams to and shake hands with a number of people in one minute. 20. You can forbid an evil action in one minute. 21. You can enjoin something good in one minute. 22. You can offer sincere advice to a brother in one minute. 23. You can console someone who is depressed in one minute. 24. You can remove something harmful from the road in one minute. 25. Making the most of one minute motivates you to make the most of other periods that would otherwise be wasted. Al-Shaafa’i (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: When people go to sleep, I let my tears flow, and I recite a verse of the most eloquent poetry Is it not a waste that nights go by and I do not increase in knowledge, yet this time is counted as part of my life? Finally, the more sincere you are towards Allaah and the more aware you are of Him, the greater will be your reward and the more your hasanaat will increase. Note that most of these actions will not cost you anything; they do not require tahaarah (purity) and they will not tire you out or take much effort. On the contrary, you can do them whilst you are walking, or in your car, or lying down, or standing, or sitting, or waiting for somebody. These actions are also among the greatest means of attaining happiness, expanding the chest (i.e., bringing relief and joy) and removing stress and anxiety. May Allaah help us and you to do that which He loves and which pleases Him. May Allaah bless our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). Maa Salam |
