The activities of satan and his agents The topmost aim of satan is to mislead as many men as possible from the true path of islam (that is, submission to God’s will), to his own path of destruction. To carry out this aim effectively, satan, the master devil has formulated a lot of strategies most especially among mankind which includes false religions, witchcraft, magical practices, superstition and fortune telling. To make a proper analysis of these satan’s plans to destabilize the entire race of mankind, we have: 1. false religions; There are many false and man-made religions in the world today which include Judaism, budhism, modern Christianity, Hinduism, Confucianism, paganism, spiritism and a host of others. Satan, the devil has been very successful in misleading the thousands of millions followers of these innovated religions simply by promising them illusionary salvation and eternal life just as he did to Adam by telling him (Adam) thus: Quran 20 v 120: Oh Adam! Shall I lead you to the tree of eternity and to a kingdom that (will) never end. And by yielding to satan’s call, Adam eventually met his downfall. So also would be the case with the followers of the above mentioned man-innovated religions. The Almighty Allah reveals concerning the followers of these false religions thus: Quran 4 v 120: satan makes them promises (of salvation) and creates in them false hopes, but (Alas), satan’s promises are nothing but deception 2. Witchcraft: This is the act of influencing events be secret means of controlling spirits. It is another means through which satan is getting his plan of destabilizing mankind carried out. The witches and wizards who practise this ac are human beings like us. The only basic differnce between them and the rest of us is that they are in constant contacts with the evil spirits from whom they derive their devilish power. Satan uses the witches and wizards to create fears, confusions and frustrations among mankind in order to pressurize them to seek refuge in any of the false religious houses and thereby leading them astray. But, Allah did not leave all alone to be harmed or frustrated by the devilish power of these witches and wizards. Allah says: Quran 4 v 141: never will Allah grant to the unbelievers (and evil doers) a way to overcome the believers. Also Quran 5 v 64: every time they (the witches and evil doers) kindled the fire of (spiritual) war (against the believers) Allah, (the Almighty) …extinguishes it. But Allah warns that: Quran 6 v 82: it is (only) those who believe and mix not their belief with strong (doings) that are (truly) in security (from any form of harm) 3. Magical practices: This is another way through which satan is misleading many people of the modern world. The magicians through the use of devilish powers perform numerous trickish wonders like turning a piece of stone into a living object and vice versa. Allah clearly reveals the power of magic that it is nothing but deception while He was describing the encounter between Moses, His noble prophet (pbuh) and the magicians of King Pharaoh of Egypt that: Quran 20 v 66 – 69: he (Moses) said (to the magicians) throw yours first! Then behold their ropes and their rods,,, seemed to him (Moses) on account of their magic,,, to be in lively motion! So Moses, conceived in his mind a (sort of) fear, (and) we said, ‘fear not! (Moses) for you have indeed the upper hand! (so) throw that which is in your right hand, quickly will it swallow up that which they have faked, (for) what they have faked is but magician’s trick. And the magicians succeeded not. Immediately Moses had overcome the power of Pharaoh’s magicians Quran 20 v 70: the magicians were thrown down to prostration! (and) they said, we (now) believe in the Lord of Aaron and Moses. Therefore, with these accounts from the Glorious Quran, magical practice is no more than the act of the evil doers to divert the people’s minds from the path of the Almighty Allah. Allah however affirms thus: Quran 6 v 135: certain is it that the evil doers will not prosper. 4. Supersition: This is an irrational belief usually founded on ignorance or fear and characterized by obsessive reverence for omens, charms etc. it is another way entirely through which satan (the master devil) is causing confusions and fears into the minds of millions of people all over the world. And at times, these supersitition beliefs oftn lead to hatred and enmity between people of different cultural backgrounds Allah clearly warns: Quran 5 v 91: satan’s plan is to excite enmity and hatred between you (so beware of him) Still on the issue of superstition, I could bring back memories of my experience where we were taught in a literature book, under the heading ‘superstition’ that ‘if someone should wake up in the morning and happens to see first a grumbling old woman, then it portrays a very bad luck for the concerned person for the whole day. Some other superstitious beliefs which included the sighting of a black cat, putting new pairs of shoes on a table, standing by th main entrance of the house, walking under a ladder etc are all viewed as omens signifying evil. Moreover, as faithful Muslims, we should always shun every superstitional belief and base all our actions in accordance with the injunctions of the Glorious Quran and the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammed (pbuh). However, Allah states thus: Quran 3 v 132: obey Allah and the apostle that you may obtain mercy (and prosperity) 5. Fortune telling; This is an act of predicting about future occurrences and those who engage in this act are known as the fortune tellers. These fortune tellers, using the powers of the devil predict events which at times may come true. Other people who also uses devilish powers to predict the future include Astrologers, soothsayers and Psychic readers. In different parts of the world, many people visit these devilish people either to enquire about their future or to obtain advice in making serious decisions. Although these devilish people often make predictions which at times may come to pass, Allah states thus: Quran 72 v 26: He (Allah alone) knows that which beyond the reach of a created being perception and to none does he disclose anything of the mysteries of his own unfathomable knowledge. Then, we should ask ourselves from where did these fortune tellers get the secret knowledge? In answer to this question, Aisha, the beloved wife of the Holy Prophet (saw) related that “some people came to prophet and asked him concerning the soothsayers and the prophet replied, ‘they do not amount to anything’. Bu these people insisted that sometimes, the soothsayers make predictions which come true, then, the prophet said, ‘those (predictions which they make and eventually come true) are things which satan hears by chance from the angels and he (satan) whispers it into the ears of his (soothsayers and fortune tellers) friends and they mix a hundred falsehood with it’. (Bukhari and Muslim) As Muslims, whenever we intend to do something which we are not sure of its success, instead of consulting the fortune tellers or the church prophets, the only lawful way out is the one narrated by a very close disciple of the prophet who narrated that Allah’s Apostle used to teach his disciples to perform the prayer of ISTIKHARA (i.e prayer in which a person appeals to Allah to guide him or her on the right way regarding a certain situation) for each and every matter,,, (and) he (the prophet) used to say, ‘if anyone of you intends to do something, he or she should offer a two-Rakah prayer other than the compulsory prayers and after finishing it, he or she should say: “Oh Allah! I consult you for you have all knowledge and I appeal to you to support me with your power and ask for your bounty, for you are able to do all things while I am not and you are the knower of the hidden (facts)” “Oh Allah! If you know that this matter (name your matter) is good for me both at present and in the future (and in my religin)< in my present life and in the coming hereafter, then, fulfil it for me and make it easy for me and then bestow your blessings on me in that matter.” “Oh Allah! If (also) you know that this matter is not good for me in my religion, in my present life or in the future, then divert my mind from it and choose for me what is good wherever it may be, and make me be pleased with it” (Bukhari) Moreover, by performing the above stated recommended prayers of the Holy Prophet (saw) in seeking Allah’s guidance concerning any critical issue which outcome is not known to us. We believers will sort out critical issues which the non-Muslims would be forced to consul the fortune tellers, soothsayers, herbalists, false prophets or false miracle workers for in order to find their ways out. Demonic attack and threatening The devilish jinns otherwise known as the demons and evil spirit are very active in possessing, threatening, frustrating and attacking human beings. These devilish spirits cause some people to be down with different kinds of serious illness, while they torment some many other people at night by depriving them of restful sleep and giving them terrible and horrible dreams. Also the demons often drive people to madness and murder. Further, as part of their devilish acts, the demons often appear to people in the forms of their departed relatives, and so making them to believe that the dead are still very much in our midst and also roams among us. In addition, these wicked demons and evil spirits make many people to believe that the dead needs help from the living and may harm them if the necessary help is not rendered. So, this make some foolish people to offer foods, drinks and sacrifices of different kinds to the dead by placing them on their graves. Also, satan, the master devil and his devilish agents often invade peoples’ minds by creating in them terrors, fears and evil suggestions. For instance, there was a reported case of a young boy of thirteen who made a serious attempt to murder his father on his sick bed. And who upon much pressure from the members of the family, on wny he wanted to murder his father confessed that the father did not really offend him, but he just felt within his mind to kill him. Allah advises us thus: Quran 7 v 200: if an (evil) suggestion from satan fall upon your mind, seek refuge with Allah, for he hears and knows (all things) Furthermore, Allah reveals about the demons, the evil spirits and the witches who normally take advantage of darkness at night to enage in secret plan in order to achieve their devilish purposes thus: Quran 4 v 108: they (the demons, evil spirits, witches and their likes) seek to hide themselves from (being seen by) the people but cannot hide from Allah while He is with them when they plot by night. However, no matter how powerful and dangerous these demons and the evil spirits might be, they cannot encounter the faithful Muslims and be victorious for Allah states: Quran 3 v 68: Allah is the protector of those who have (absolute) faith in him. Quran 3 v 126: and there is no victory except from Allah (the Almighty) Moreover, to show that the power of satan, the demons and the rest of the devilish spirits cannot withstand the supreme power of the Almighty Allah. A disciple of the holy Prophet Muhammed (saw) narrates that on one occasion while traveling with the prophet, they passed a watering place where a woman brought out her son who has been possessed by the evil spirit and begged the Prophet to help her out. So after taking the boy, the Apostle of God seized his nostril and commands the evil spirit: ‘come out! For I am Muhammed, the Apostle of God’ and so they left the place to continue their journey. Then on their way back home, the Apostle of God asked the woman about the boy’s condition and she replied thus: ‘I swear by Him who commissioned you with the truth that we have seen nothing in him to disturb us since you left (sarh-as-sunna) Equally, Ibn Abbas, a very close companion of the Prophet narrated that a woman brought her son to the Apostle of God and said: ‘Oh Apostle of God, my son is being possessed by the evil spirit and it seizes him when we have our morning and evening meals’. Then the Prophet took the boy and stroked his chest and made a supplication and when the boy vomited once, something like black puppy came running out from within him (and so he was cured) (Darimi) Devilish dreams and voices Satan and his devilish agents including demons, the witches and their likes usually terrorise and mislead people through dreams and strange voices. I have told a story in which I had a devilish dream masterminded by Iblis after my reversion to Islam from the ‘darkness’ called religion. I had the horrible dream in which after I woke up in the middle of the night, found out that I was not myself anymore because I was losing my consciousness drastically. In the course of the situation, I struggled to get hold of my ‘Quran’ which lies very close to me but my hands could not reach it. After much struggle, I got hold of it and opened directly to chapter 2 verse 255, that is, Ayat Kurissiy which I read for some twenty minutes repeatedly before I changed to the recitation of La Ilaha Ila lah. So I continued with the recitation of these words for quite a number of times which I could not recollect now. But something strange and surprising happened while I was reciting the Khalimah (La ilaha ila lah) all of a sudden, a suggestion just came to my mind that I should call on the name of Jesus and everything would be alright with me. Then, I thought within myself that why should I seek for help elsewhere, since I wholeheartedly believe in Allah and His Apostle and not again being deceived like the many years spent in darkness called religion. So I decided within myself that if only calling on the name of Jesus would make me to be alright, then I will rather die with the recitation of La ilaha ila lah. I continued with the recitation until I finally fell asleep. But to my greatest surprise, when I woke up for the pre-dawn fasting meal, I was so healthy and mentally alright as if nothing at all had happened to me earlier. This is in fact one of the many ways in which satan and his devilish agents get many people misled through dreams. Amd it had been that I have called on the name of Jesus during the spiritual encounter with the evil forces and had become alright, then, definitely I would have woken up as a person doubting the authenticity of Islam as a religion that leads to success and salvation. Similarly, there had been many reported cases of people who were Muslims but who slept during the night and only to wake up in the morning as having become Hindus, Christians, pagans etc. I once told about my experience and exposure to the ways the demons convert people to other man made religion in dreams. I have mentioned my first experience while I was a Christian and the final exposure through exorcism. The Holy Prophet Muhammed (saw) stated concerning dreams that: ‘If anyone of you (muslims) had a dream which he likes, then that (dreams) is from Allah and (so) he should thank him for it and tell it to others. But if he has a bad and horrible dream, then that is from satan and he should seek refuge with Allah from the dream and should not tell it to anybody for it will harm him’ (Bukhari) considering the above quoted sayings of the Prophet that whenever we have a bad and horrible dream, we should always keep it within ourselves and not narrate it to even our closest relatives but only to Allah, the Almighty with whom we should seek refuge from the evil that might result from the dream. And this is so, because at times in the process of finding interpretations to our dreams, our Parents, Guardians and even friends could persuade us to consult fortune tellers, palm readers, herbalists and even church prophets. And by approaching any of the above mentioned charlatans for the interpretations of our dreams, it means going against the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammed (pbuh). The Prophet himself stated that: ‘all my followers will enter paradise except those who refuse’ and when asked of those who will refuse, he said, ‘whoever obeys me will enter paradise and whoever disobeys me is the one who refuses’. (Bukhari0 in addition, there had been many reported cases of people hearing their names being called by strange voices without seeing the callers. For example, a girl was reported to have been hearing the voice of her dead father calling her whenever she was alone at night. This is just another way through which satan and his agents are creating terror and restlessness for mankind. However, Holy Prophet (saw) ordered us to be pronouncing the Adhan, that is, the call to prayer whenever such situation arises. For th Adhan will scare the demon responsible and he will instantly take to his heels and that is the more reason the prophet told us to recite the Adhan into the two ears of a new born so as not to be disturbed by the demons. In the Glorious Quran, chapters 113 and 114 are of great importance for seeking refuge with Allah the Almighty against every form of evil and demonic attack. The recitations of these two chapters was recommended by the Prophet most especially at the time of going to bed. For no harm whatsoever, either from satan, demons or even the witches will come to anyone who recites the two chapters at the time of going to sleep. Likewise, the recitation of chapter 2 verse 255 of the Holy Quran, that is, Ayat Kurissiy is also very effective in preventing these forces of darkness from harming anyone who recites it at the time of retiring to bed. For the Almighty Allah will send a guardian angel to protect the reciter of this verse from any form of harms both spiritual and physical. The Holy Prophet said: ‘Prayer is the sword of the Muslim believer with which he could conquer the forces of darkness and also find a lasting solution to his general life problems. |
@Pilgrims Sister, it seems this is not where you are going precisely but will answer your questions anywhere it comes from. It seems you are trying to compare the two prophets huh, lets move on till we gradually get to where we are going. #Quote Why has Muhammad's 'greatest miracle' not been able to open the eyes of the blind, the ears of the deaf, or benefitted the needy and helpless in Islam, just as the miracles of Moses and Jesus which delievered and saved people?# On opening of eyes of the blind, read below: From ‘Ibn Kathirs The Life of the Prophet Muhammad, Al-sira Al-Nabawiyya, volume 2’ : HOW THE PROPHET (PBUH) REPLACED QATADA’S EYE: Al-Bayhaqi stated, in the Dalail (The Signs), “Abu Sad al-Malini informed us quoting Abu Ahmed b. Adi, quoting Abu Yala, quoting Yahya al-Himmant, quoting Abd al-Aziz b. Sulayman b. al-Ghasil, from Asim b. Umar b. Qatada, from his father, from his grandfather Qatada b. al-Numan, that his eye was wounded at Badr and that its pupil came down on his cheekbone. They were about to slice it off, but asked the Messenger of God (SAAS) who said they should not do this. He then said a prayer for him, covering his cheek with his palm. And later you could not tell which of his eyes had been struck!” Quote In what ways is Islam's 'greatest miracle' healing the sick and helping the needy? Healing used in the above is spiritual healing and not healing as you may be thinking. Healing here means, healing the disease of ignorance, doubt etc. I will use some verses to explain to you and if I still do not meet up, you may call my attention. Quran 17 v 82: and we send down of the Quran that which is a healing and a mercy to those who believe (In Islamic Monotheism and act on it) and it increases the polytheists and wrong doers nothing but loss. Quran 10 v 57; O mankind! There has come to you a good advice from your Lord (i.e the Quran, enjoining all that is good and forbidding all that is evil) and a healing for that (disease of ignorance, doubt, hypocrisy and differences) which is in your hearts – a guidance and a mercy (explaining lawful and unlawful things) for the believers. Quran 16 v 89: and (remember) the Day when we shall raise up from every nation a witness against them from amongst themselves. And we shall bring you (O Muhammed saw) as a witness against these. And we have sent down to you the Book (the Quran) as an exposition of everything,. A guidance, a mercy, and glad tidings for those who have submitted themselves (to Allah as Muslims) But if you are talking about the healing of the sick, the needy , we have Supplications you can say to make you get better So let me have your response and from biblical perspective too. |
@buluti Nobody is hiding anything from you, you are free to purchase the Quran and read anything you feel like reading there. Its a free world , you are entitled to your opinion. I have given you room to ask any question you feel like but it seems you have nothing to ask, thereby resorting to the statement that someone doesnt have the ability. I have told you on the issue of the desecration of the Quran, the verse is not in the Quran but if you think that its there as you have labelled us (muslims) liar with regards to the issue of desecration of the Holy Quran, provide it and we it up from there . You have just started and you have been labelling me as not up to the task for your question(s). I have replied your post on the desecration and I dont know what you are driving at again. So if you think that no muslims can answer you, too bad. But as we try explaining the issue of desecration, I will want you to prepare for me an answer to this question: "For what purpose will a 'sane' christian wants to desecrate the Quran. I decide to ask the question because of your response to brother Belloti. So if you have questions for me, you are welcome and if not, no problem then. As for the issue of crucifixion, its not leading anywhere, I am just trying to learn as you yourself and some christians here have been asking muslims questions and if you think that there is no need asking questions then I will move away to Islamic thread. #The acts of you guys in here tells a lot about Islam to the reader, i hope you know. If i were not a christain the attempts by the christains to take on issues and even argue within themselves on issues would tell me much of the faith, that it is one that allows for your own individual development and growth, the responses from muslims have been so stereo typed that i really wonder why fear in the religion is so deep. Am beginning to get my answers anyway and understand the fundamentalist reasoning pattern, if the liberals can be this scared of "not wanting to sin" i know what to expect from the fundamentalist.# Be specific. Tell me where you are going because you christians fel that you are the professors and that no muslims' response can satisfy you. |
@Ibrahim007 Salam brother. You are welcome to the thread. Honestly speaking, life in the Hereafter cannot be compared to the life we are living presently. If you have time, you can check a thread tagged, 'Judgement day, signs, symbols and proceedings". There you will read about signs and some things about judgment day but it is very unfortunate that I have been very busy, as result, I have not been able to continue but will continue very soon Insha Allah. Or better still, maybe I should talk about life in Hell and life in Paradise. Maa Salam |
@DorisB CLAP FOR YOURSELF ![]() |
@pilgrim Welcome sister to nairaland. This will be my first post to your threads. #The Quran depicts Muhammad as a prophet sent by the God of the Bible: first to correct the errors of Judaism and Christianity; and second, to spread the message of true religion and salvation to the whole world. Muslims are made to believe that all the other prophets rank lower than Muhammad, as he is the last and greatest of them all. Many of the Biblical prophets performed miracles as proof that God had called them. If you ask Muslims what miracles Muhammad performed, some believe there was none; others believe there were many. And yet, most are made to believe that the Quran is the greatest miracle in Islam#. He performed miracles and the Holy Quran is still the greatest of all. If you care, we can start comparing the stories of the prophets in both books. #Why has Muhammad's 'greatest miracle' not been able to open the eyes of the blind, the ears of the deaf, or benefitted the needy and helpless in Islam, just as the miracles of Moses and Jesus which delievered and saved people? In what ways is Islam's 'greatest miracle' healing the sick and helping the needy?# A very good question. Miracles has been happening in Islam too but we Muslims do not carry it about as you have been doing. Muslims do not count miracles as the basis of religion. Mind you, Jesus wasnt the only prophet that performed miracle, others performed too, so his case is not different from the rest. That reminds of a miracle deceiver in Mushin, a surburb of Lagos State that mounted the stage claiming that he could heal the blind and make the lame walk, but unfortunately, this man couldnt do anything to help the less privileged despite the fact that these handicapped claimed that they believed in Jesus Christ. I dont know if you are very conversant with Kano streets at Ebute Metta, we have enough handicapped there that are ready to be christians, the pastors should go there and heal them. We also have them at Railway Crossing at Agege, they need the asistance of pastors. To your question, the Holy Quran is a mercy and healing for mankind if you can read it and follow what it contains. It tells about things that has happened, things happening presently and things to come. Hope I have answered you and if you are not satisfied, as said earlier, let me have where i havent explained, then probably, we compare the stories of the prophets in the two Holy Books. |
@stimulus Thanks for the post too. Re-posting ke, where did u see that? I have not asked you before and that is the more reason I told you that I have shifted partially from the questions I have been asking you. The motive for my questions is just to bring it you that Jesus was never killed. |
@Stimulus I have decided to shift partially from the issue of Mary Magdalene to another issue which I found very disturbing, so in order not to sin as put by Buluti, am now putting the questions across to you and after that, I will continue from where I stopped. Here are the questions: 1. I saw a post by someone saying he was crucified publicly, did his disciples witness the crucifixion? 2. Christians say that Jesus and the disciples were aware of what he came to do, if that is the case, why did the disciples not believe that he had risen from the dead? 3. If the disciples knew that Jesus had to rise, why didn’t they return to Jerusalem to see the resurrection? 4. Is there anywhere in the bible (both OT and NT) that Jesus foretold his 'crucifixion'? 5. Where was jesus crucified, Outside Jerusalem or in Jerusalem? After these, I move to where I stopped (re-burial) by the jews and to another verse(s). Thank you. |
@buluti So i get your point. In addition i have read the quotations you provided not being a muslim and being just verses (not the whole text) i don't want to misquote but the text is so ambigous, Quran 17:33 has "except for a just cause, the 2nd part can also be easily abused it gives room for excesses. Was it Karl Marx that said religion is the opium of the masses and with such room provided, we know the effect of opium on its user it leads to irrational acts. But again i don't want to use that as a bases because it is not enough, in my opinion it does not capture the true intent of the writer of that passage, i don't want to misquote. You are free to misquote. In addition, in your own opinion, what does the writer meant by that passage. I asked what the Quran said categorically on the desecration of the Quran? I didnt ask about killing in general? Is there a portion of the Quran that speaks about "your " Quran and its desecration and what your reaction should be. If there is none or you havent come across, say so and lets move on. There is no portion of the Quran that speaks on the desecration of the Quran. Secondly you said the issue had been treated in other threads please provide it. Please don't provide a vague thread where exchanges were taking place, Islam is peace(Muslim), Islam is not Peace (Christain) and the likes, No thats not what am asking or looking for. This is for my personal use because i want to understand, a thread that had dealt with issues like a debate showing full text and not mere verses explaining this desecration of the Quran. Ok sir, what do you need here? I am taking the issues i don't understand with Islam one at a time to understand, its the desecration of the Quran that led to the death in Gombe, so am starting from there. I am sincerely yours, you may start from there, its ok by me. Again please don't take round me in circles i am serious, theres no muslim around me i wouldnt have bothered asking on Nairaland if i were back home i would have gone to an Imam, if you can help me do so, if you can't say so and move on. I really am getting tired of asking the same question. We are educated people irrespective of our religion so lets act accordingly. I am with you and will answer your questions to the best of my ability even if you do not believe me. |
@nossycheek Na wa o ![]() You called that criticism? Is your bible not one of the holy books? If you do not read a book, how will you know what it contains? Abeg let me be doing the reading jare, am enjoying it. ![]() contradictions in the bible, no way D (are u ok now)As for the Quran having been written on the barks of trees or on anything, never mind, let us apply simple logic. I have been giving you verses present in some bibles but expunged in others, so to verify the completeness of the Quran too, let me have verse(s) present in some and absent in others. As simple as ABC. ![]() |

I learnt that your head don dey big . Its not only you as a christian I like oooooo, I like KAG despite the fact he is neither a muslim nor a christian. I so much love his way of explaining things and his input too.![]() |
@stimulus Let me come in as regards to your post on sonship of God. You misquoted the verses and here are the verses posted by you. #Someone once asked Jesus who He was, even going so far as to adjure Him to tell if He was the Son of God (Matt. 26:63). His answer was: I am! (Mark 14:62) What does that say to you?# Jesus was asked Luke 22 v 70: The said they all, art thou the son of God? and he saith unto them ye said that I am. Here, he told them that they said so. Again they asked him Mathew 26 v 63 - 64: But Jesus was silent. And the high priest said unto him, 'I adjure you by the living God , tell us if you are the christ, the son of God. Jesus said to to him, 'you have said so. But I will tell you, hereafter you will see the son of man seated at the right hand of Power , ,,, Again, he told them that they have said so. Finally when they noticed that he never wanted to claim sonship of God or answer them, they now changed the question and asked him Mark 14 v 61: Jesus was asked , 'are ye christ, son of the blessed'? Jesus said I am and ye shall see the son of man sitting on the right hand of Power,,, The next question is 'who is the blessed being referred to in the above verse" The answer is in the gospel of Luke Luke 1 v 28: And he came to her and said 'Hail, o favoured one, the Lord is with you' Note: Other ancient authorities add, 'Blessed are you among women" We all equally know that Mary is blessed among women and it is not God that is being referred to here. Also Jesus referred to himself as the son of man. So carry on Stay blessed. |
Brotherhood in Islam 3. The third duty concerns the tongue, which should sometimes be silent and at other times speak out. As for silence, the tongue should not mention a brother’s fault in his absence or his presence. Rather should you feign ignorance. You should not contradict him when he talks, nor dispute nor argue with him. You should not pry and quiz him about his affairs. On seeing him in the street or about some business, you should not start a conversation about the object of your coming and going, nor ask him about his, for perhaps it will be troublesome to him to discuss it, or he may have to lie about it. Keep silent also about the secrets he confides in you and on no account divulge them to a third party – not even to his closest friends. Do no reveal anything about them, not even after separation and estrangement, for to do so would be meanness of character and impurity of the Inner. Keep silent from criticism of his dear ones, his family, and his children; also from relating other people’s criticism of him, for it is your informant who directly abuses you. Anas said that God’s messenger (pbuh) never faced anyone with something displeasing to him, for the hurt comes immediately from the informant and only indirectly from the original speaker. Of course you should not hide any praise you may hear, for the pleasure in it is received directly from the conveyer of the compliment as well as indirectly from the original source. Concealment here would mean envy. In short, you should keep silent about any speech unpleasant to him in general and in particular – unless obliged to speak out to promote good and prevent evil, and even then only if you can find no valid excuse for saying nothing. In such cases, you need not worry about his disapproval, since what you do is beneficial to him when rightly guided, even if it looks bad at first sight. As for mentioning his misdeeds and faults, and the misdeeds of his family, this is slander and unlawful in respect of every Muslim. Two things should turn you from it. First, examine your own condition and if you find there blameworthy thing, then be tolerant of what you see in your brother. It may be that he is unable to control himself in that particular characteristic, just as you are impotent in the face of your own difficulty. So do not be too heavy on him on account of one blameworthy trait. Wherever you find yourself lacking in your duty to God, do not expect as much from your brother in his duty to you, for your right over him is not greater than God’s right over you. Second, you know that, were you to seek for someone free of all blemish, you would exhaust the entire creation without ever finding a companion. For there is not one human being who does not have both good and bad qualities and if the good outweigh the bad that is the most that can be hoped for. The noble believer always keeps present in himself the good qualities of his brother, so that his heart may be the source of honour, affection and respect. As for the hypocrite of low character, he is always noticing misdeeds and faults. Ibn al-Mubarak said: “The believer tries to find excuses for others, while the hypocrite looks for mistakes. Al-Fudayl said: “Manliness is pardoning the slips of one’s brothers”. This is why the Prophet said: “Seek refuge with Gid from bad neighbour who sees some goods and conceals it, sees some bad and reveals it. There is no-one at all whose condition cannot be improved in some respects, or made worse. Tradition, tells how a certain man praised another in the presence of God’s Messenger (pbuh), then blamed him the next day. So he (pbuh) said: “You praise him one day and blame him the next!” The man replied: “Yesterday I told the truth about him, and today I did not lie about him. He pleased me yesterday so I told the best I knew of him. he angered me today so I spoke the worst I knew of him” to this, the prophet said: “Reasoned argument can be sorcery.” He evidently disapproved of it since he likened it to sorcery. Thus he said in another traditional report: “Abuse and argumentation are twin branches of hypocrisy” And further: “God disapproves argumentation for you: all argumentation. Al-Shafii said: “There is not one Muslim who obeys God without ever transgressing against Him, nor is there one who transgresses against Him without ever obeying Him. if a mans’ obedience outweighs his transgression, then he is righteous” if such a man be accounted rifhteous in his duty to God, how much more should you consider him righteous in his duty to you and the obligation of your brotherhood. Just as it is incumbent upon you to hold your tongue from mentioning his misdeeds, so ought you to observe silence in your heart. This is done by giving up suspicion, for suspicion constitute slander in the heart, which is also unlawful. Keep within the bounds by not putting a bad construction on his action, so long as you can see it in a good loght. As for what is revealed unmistakably and before your very eyes, so that it is impossible for you not to know about it, you should if possible ascribe what you witness to absent-mindedness and forgetfulness. Suspicion is formed in two ways: first, by what is called perception which rests on some outward sign. This causes a necessary movement of the thinking which cannot be set aside. Secondly, there is that which arises from your prejudice against someone. There emanates from him some act which could be taken in either of two ways; but your prejudice against him causes you to settle for the worse interpretation, even though there is no outward sign to justify it. This is an offence against him in the Inner, something unlawful in respect of every believer. For the prophet said: “God has forbidden one to tamper with the blood, property or honour of another, or to hold a bad suspicion of him” Also :Beware of suspicion, for suspicion is the most untruthful report and suspicion leads to prying and sying. Further “Do not spy and do not pry. Do not sever relationships and do not fall out, but serve God as brothers. Prying consists in listening to rumours, spying in visual obsevation. Concealing faults, feigning ignorance of them and overlooking them – this is mark of religious people. You have sufficient notice of the perfect degree in concealing what is ugly and unrevealing what is Good, in that God is so qualified in the prayer where he said: “ O thou who revealest the beautiful and concealest the ugly! What is desirable in God’s sight is that we model our character after His, for He is the Veiler of faults, Forgiver of sins, Indulgent towards His creatures. So how can you fail to be indulgent towards one who is your equal or your superior, but in no way your slave or your creature? Jesus (pbuh) said to his disciples: “How do you act when you see a brother sleeping and the wind blows off his clothes? We screen him and cover him. rather do you lay bare his private parts. Glory be to God! Who would do such a thing? One of you listns to gossip about his brother, then adds to it and passes it on exaggerated. You must know that a man’s belief is incomplete so long as he does not wish for his brother what he wishes for himself. The lowest degree in brotherhood is where you treat your brother as you would wish to be treated yourself and there is no doubt that he would expect you to veil his shame and keep quiet about his misdeeds and faults. If shown the opposite of what he expected he would be very annoyed and angry. How unworthy then, if he were to expect what he himself would not conceive and intend. Woe to him then in the words of Allah: Quran 83 v 1-3; Woe to the givers of short measure, who exact in full when others measure out to them, but skimp in measuring or weighing out to others! All who dispense fair treatment beyond what they themselves dispense come under the import of this verse. The source of deficiency in veiling another’s shame, and of striving to display it, is a hidden disease of the Inner, namely rancour and envy. For the rancorous and envious has his Inner full of dirt, but keeps it imprisoned in his Inner, conceals it and does not show it as long as he lacks a pretext. But when he finds an opportunity, the restrained is released, the reserve is abandoned and the Inner sweats with its hidden dirt. Whenever the Inner is wrapped up with rancour and envy, it is better to break off relations. Some wise men say that open blame is better than hidden rancour. The only thing to soften the rancorous is isolation. If a man carries in his heart a bad feeling towards another Muslim, then his belief is weak, his affair is risky, and his heart is dirty and unfit to meet God. Part of the matter is keeping quiet, and not divulging a brother’s secret which he has entrusted to you. You should deny knowledge of it, even if this means lying, for to speak the truth is not incumbent in every circumstance. Just as it is permitted to a man to hide his own faults and secrets, even if he needs to lie, so may he do for his brother’s sake. For his brother stands in his own shoes and the pair are like one person, different only in body. This is the true nature of brotherhood. Furthermore, in what one does in one’s brother’s presence, one should not be hypocritical, nor abandon one’s private for one’s public behaviour. For your brothers knowledge of what you do is like your own knowledge of it, without distinction. The Prophet said: “If a man veils his brother’s shame, God will veil him in this world and in the Hereafter. In another report: “…,,, it is as if he restores to life a baby girl buried alive” he also said: “If a man gives information, then looks about him, it is a confidence. And: “All sessions are confidential bar three: that in which blood is shed unlawfully, that in which unlawful sexual intercourse takes place and that in which property is unlawfully used. And again: “When two sit down in a session together their proceedings are confidential, and neither of them may divulge anything distasteful to the other. The most serious causes that fan the fire of rancour between brothers are contention and disputation. These are the very essence of variance and rupture. For rupture starts off with, then becomes verbal and finally physical. The worst disgrace is contention, for if you reject what another says you accuse him of ignorance and stupidity, or of forgetfulness and absent-mindedness in understanding his subject. All this constitutes disgrace, annoyance and alienation. In general, the only motive for contention is to display intellectual superiority and to belittle one’s opponent by showing up his ignorance. This amounts to arrogance, contempt, hurtfulness and the insulting charge of folly and ignorance. There is no meaning to enmity but this, so what part can it have in brotherhood and true friendship? |
The forces of darkness Satan, the accursed devil is the supreme head of all the entire forces of darkness which include, demons, witches, wizards and the evil spirits. But who really is this satan? Many religions give descriptions and views in many different ways. Some called him a fallen angel while others refer to him as a spiritual being who has the same but opposite status with God, that is he is in control of every bad evil occurrences in the world while God is considered to be in control of every good and pleasant occurances. But Islamically, the above stated facts about satan are absolutely false. To start with, satan the devil is a Jinn, and if we may ask, who are these Jinns? The jinns are invisible beings created by God from the smoke of fire. Just like the human beings, the jinns reproduce, grow, feed, mature and die. Also the jinns have the abilities to see us and harm us when we offend them unknowingly. Moreover, among the jinns we have those who are faithful Muslims, who worship the Almighty Allah as we are doing and also follows the commandments stated in the Glorious Quran with the basic teachings of the Holy Prophet (saw). To prove that the jinns too worship Him as humans do, Allah commands us thus: Quran 51 v 56: I have only created jinns and men that they may serve me. To show further the act of faithfulness on the side of some of the jinns, Allah told us a company of the jinns who had listened to its (Quran) wonderful recitations sa saying thus: Quran 72 v 1-2: we have really heard a wonderful recitation, it gives guidance to the right (path) and we have believed therein, we shall not join (in worship) any (God) with our Lord. Similarly, among the jinns, we have those who are evil who refuse to worship God as many people do today. It is these devilish jinns that were called demons and evil spirits. They work closely with satan, the master devil and are always in obedience to his commands. After his downfall from heaven due to his disobedience to God’s order to bow to Adam, satan vowed to God thus: Quran 4 v 118-119: I will take of your servants a portion marked off, (and) I wil mislead them. And as a word of assurance of our safety from the satanic plan, Allah says: Quran 16 v 99-100: no authority has he (satan) over those who believe and put their trust in their Lord. His authority is over those only who take him as patron and who joins partners with Allah. |
@tayod #Are those websites running out of ideas?# That is the belief of all christians here. So all muslims that have been given you biblical verses have been lifting from websites. Nobody challenged you when you lifted your claim from answeringislam. I read there how they told you never to accept the other similarities but to hold on to the one you are laying claim to now. Why are you referring me to Greek bible? Is that Jesus’ language? You should have referred me to Aramaic bible where Muhammed was mentioned. You have never debunked anything with regards to the issue of brethren, stimulus gave his own opinion which is left for me to accept or to rebut. So if you are laying claim to only one similarity, too bad then. I have given you the reasons why the Arabs are the brethren of the Jews, so its left for you to accept or not. Tayod, Why is it that Muhammed is really the problem of many christians? There is nowhere we will discuss issue and you will not say anything concerning him. Well, I am not God, its for God to decide but mind you, this same Jesus will not be able to stand for you on that day. Did you say that jesus is very righteous and that he never sinned? Let me ask you, what is baptism for? It is not that what I gave are not in line with biblical passages but they are not in line with your own reasoning and as long they are not in line with yours, they will always be rejected. You are telling me to accept that of seeing God face to face but forgot that other areas did not make Jesus in any way similar to Moses. Let me have verses referring to Jews as being "brethren" to each other. Remember that Ishmael was blessed, his nation would be multiplied etc Genesis 17v 20: As for Ishmael, I am heeding you: I hereby bless him. I will make him fertile and will multiply him exceedingly. He shall become the father of twelve chieftains, and I will make of him a great nation. Jews were also blessed too as in: Deuteronomy, chapter 4 v 6 : Observe them carefully, for thus will you give evidence of your wisdom and intelligence to the nations, who will hear of all these statutes and say, 'This great nation is truly a wise and intelligent people.' But along the line, Jesus came and said referring to the nation of the jew: Matthew 21 v 43: Therefore say I unto you, the kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. I will wait for your interpretation of the above verse So brother, if you still do not accept that the prophecy was for Muhammed, let me have verses in the bible where ‘brethren’ were used for jews and we will continue from there. |
@buluti Am very sorry for my late response. Its not that I ignored your post but was busy replying stimulus. #Please babs787, you don't have western influence the very fact that you are on this forum can constitute western influence. You surf the net, you hear local & foreign news, you are educated securlarly (well i guess ) etc what do you call that, lets not deceive ourselves if u don't want to call it western influence, call it enlightenment at least we know what we are talking about, # Educated secularly? Well for your information, my being tolerant has nothing to do with my educational background or whatever name you may call it. I am muslim and I follow what is in the Quran. There is nowhere in the Holy Quran that says we should kill anybody, the only verse(s) where killing is (are) mentioned is during the wars fought by the prophet to repel aggression when he was oppressed, never sold things for in his community, he and his Ummah were never allowed to have anything to do with the community, driven from his home along with his Ummah etc . But painfully enough, some ignorant muslims hide under these verses to perpetrate their atrocities. Allah never ordered people to be killing one another. I read some links where those that have converted to Christians said all sort of things that they were being ordered to be killing maybe jews and Christians, its never like that. I even questioned some converts and they told me that they have been told to be killing non-muslims, I wonder where they get their stupid ideas from. Even the Holy Prophet gave Christians freedom during his time, they were never harassed, disturbed or tortured, they were allowed to practice their faith. They enjoyed 100% freedom. Honestly, its very painful and shameful to hear muslims killing another person in the name of religion. Allah never supports taking of life he created. I wonder how and who they will bring into the religion when thy start killing non-muslims that are supposed to be reverted to Islam. #If truely the Quran is against killing please show me, especially pertaining to this desecration matter i really truely want to understand# But I have been providing verses going against killing. I have provided like two verses below going against taking the life of another person. #In addition what do u call "exceeding limit", My question and again its sincere if the Quran is against killing how come the suicide bombers and this babaric behaviour we observe in Nigeria, where do they get their support from, again i ask the question where does the ideology originate from, if its not the Quran, where? ?# Like I said in one of the threads, there is wider difference between knowledge and understanding. Reciting the Quran from the beginning to the end does not guarantee you to be a true muslim, a true muslim is the one that never 'exceed limits'. Exceeding limits here means that a muslim that goes beyond what is in the Quran and the Hadith and the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet. Understanding and application of the Holy Quran to every situation matter most. I know that there are some christians here that know verses in the Quran and if there is any verses on suicide bombers, they would have brought them out for people to see. There is nowhere in the Quran that says you should be killing people. Now if you want to be labelling muslims as being terrorist or whatever citing the Gombe case, are we not having muslims in the South and are we not having Muslims in the East or middle belt. Afterall, their Quran is not different from my own Quran and there is nowhere in the Quran that says we should go out and be killing people. Ability to read something doesnt guarantee you that you have mastered the intricacies therein but understanding and your application of what you have learnt gives you upper hand among very many. This is a verse pertaining to same: Quran 60 v 8: Allah forbids you not, with regard to those who fight you not for (your) faith nor drive you out of your homes, from dealing kindly and justly with them: for Allah loves those who are just. Let me give another verse on killing Quran 17 v 33: And do not kill anyone whose killing Allah has forbidden , except for a just cause. And whoever is killed wrongfully (intentionally with hostility and oppression and not by mistake), We have given his heir the authority (to demand Law of Equality in punishment or to forgive or to take blood money. But let him not exceed limits in the matter of taking life (i.e he should not kill except the killer). Verily, he is helped (by the Islamic Law) Thanks for the perseverance. |
@babyosis, babyosisi:I dont know if being stupid meant anything different from what it is known for. You are right, let nairalanders be the judge and tell who has been really uncouth. I have known you right from the time of Olabowale, Neoteny etc, I I read how they have been explaining issues to you yet you have been acting foolishly, “ferreting” lies from the internet but never wait to answer issues that pertain to Christianity. You are claiming to be the most tolerant, go over all posts and be bringing out from same where I have been insultive without you starting it. I noticed that you cant put up any debate without resorting to abuse, name calling etc, yet you are claiming to be the most tolerant. Read my posts to backslider, stimulus, buluti, tayod (who I have known right from the time of my big brother olabowale) etc. Apart from that, I apologized in shahan’s thread (who I respect so much) because it cost me nothing to apologise to people that I might have wronged in one way or the other but noticed that you of all people has made it your habit to be abusive and I for one, I don’t fancy a situation where a person will insult me today and praise me tomorrow, or you praise me privately and condemn me publicly. Its either you continue insulting me or do it the other way round. How many times has Olabowale, neoteny, belloti, mukina, etc provided you detailed explanation, yet you seemed not satisfied but continued making a roundabout argument. I have given you verses going against killing yet you keep pretending as if you have not been provided same. I am muslim and will always be one, it is nowhere in the Quran where muslims are being told to be killing Christians etc, so if you don’t accept, that’s your problem. Aren’t we having muslims in the southern part of Nigeria. Are all Northerners aggressive? There is a difference between knowledge and understanding. You may know the bible very well yet lack the understanding, so also is the Quran, knowing the verses from the beginning to the end does not qualify you to be a true muslim but the understanding and the application of the verses differentiate you from the rest. So am signing out, you are free to say whatever you feel like after my post, its a free world. |
The cap wont enter my eyes, its not oversized and was specially made for me. ] ![]() |
@stimulus Am putting a stop to it because I dont want it to generate to another issue because I have learnt that most Christians cannot debate without resorting to abuse but will like to say one or two things about your rejoinder. #On the contrary, shahan quite debunked most of your arguments, even if she did not refer you to many weblinks; and I could have done the same as mrmayor in the question of Jewish ceremonies respecting the rites of the dead.# If she had debunked, it would have been the earlier questions and I have never asked her the question am asking you now. I stopped at anointing when asking her question, I have not asked her what I am asking you now. Like I keep saying, christians will never stop amusing me. Christians have been asking muslims same questions over and over again yet no muslims ignored or told them that they have been answered, they (muslims) have been providing the answers despite the fact that they (christians) have been re-bringing the same questions but here, the drama continues,,,, ![]() To the issue of mrmayor, he provided the link based on my question whether jews re-bury the dead after three days and NOT on MARY COMING TO TAKE THE CORPSE. In the link he provided, it was noted that jews do not re-bury already buried corpse. Also ladies do not partake in the burial. Also from the bible, the secret friends of Jesus had already done the anointing for jesus. So I stopped at anointing in the other thread and am asking you in this thread the reason why Mary wanted to take the body of Jesus away. Common, explanation is not always too much, no muslim has ever complained or told Christians that someone has provided the answer but here comes Christian…. #What is even remarkable is that honest Muslim apologists pretend that schisms don't exist in Islam; and they often present the over-bored case of pseudo-Christian cults and fringe movements as if they represent Biblical Christianity. We all know that Shiites and Shias are deeply divided over doctrine, authenticity of the Hadiths, authorities of the Muslim clerics, and interpretation of the Qur'an.# Well, even if they are divided in doctrines, they are not divided as per the number of verses in the holy Quran, they don’t discriminate Quran and there is no Quran that has a verse missing but present in another Quran unlike the bible where you have some verses expunged in some versions. Also we have 114 chapters in the Holy Quran whereas, the Protestant are having 66 books while Catholics are having 72 etc… #Do you really stop to read rejoinders at all? You claim mrmayor left you some references to check out your doubts, but you still kept on pushing this weathered denial. Jews are known to give their dead a proper and respectful burial, even if it comes a few days after the demise occured. Check again the rejoinder posted by mrmayor.# Very funny. I thought you have gone to the link provided by mrmayor. If you have, you would have read about the mess contained in the link about your supposed crucifixion of Jesus, everything you may be needing regarding same is there, very funny link. The link shouldn’t have been shown at all. I could remember then, babyosis and 4 get me were happy for the link being provided but never checked what it contained. For your information, the link has nothing pertaining to jews re-burying their dead. It only tells how jews bury their dead and not re-burying the already buried corpse. Did Mary want to do the re-burial for Jesus? Na real wa o. #There again, I've stated my disinterest in long denials for the sake of arguments. When the time comes, I'll be asking you to turn around and look closer home to your own Qur'an and see the denials that Muhammad gave which Muslims are too embarrassed to comment on#. Its beginning to get bored. You can imagine when christians resort to abuse when questions are being asked yet same is being asked muslim but no muslim resort to abuse. Hmmmmmmm. When the time comes, we will examine the unfulfilled prophesies, historical Jesus, Jesus having female breast and other issues surrounding Jesus Christ in the bible and compare with that of the Holy Quran as well as other verses in both books i.e the creation of both living and non living things, the creation of Adam, how satan deceived them, the stories of the prophets, story of Jesus etc. We wil compare both books in those areas when the time comes. #Take care, call babs any name you feel like, it is a free world Truth and Islamic propagandist denials are not the same things. And what names did I call you other than yours?# Dont worry as we proceed, truth will unveil itself, though it has been unveiling itself but only that christians have been ignoring it due to pride, arrogance etc You are misunderstanding me. If you can put up any argument without resorting to abuse or name calling, then it will be better because most of them that have been claiming to be tolerant have never shown it. So all am saying is that even if you decide to be calling me name or resort to insults, its ok by me just the way predecessors have been doing. Take care. |
@tayo d @ stimulus Knowledge continues till one dies. The "poor" is not the one that has no cent but the one that refuses to seek for knowledge. You are perfectly right . I dont need to support your claim. Must we reason together? That is the more reason we have threads to thrash out issues. We need to disagree in order to agree and you christians shouldnt be "Mr. know-all" or "Mr Right" everytime issues are being addressed. You consider every other's post inferior as long its not in support of yours. You know the truth, babs has earned many names just because he has been asking questions, refusing to accept doctrines, biblical misrepresentations etc. as being written by christians. So if never to dance to your music is being termed "not comprehending", I prefer to remain so. Thanks for adding new feather to my cap. This calls for celebration ![]() Take care. |
@david My dear brother, you have been told the truth. Please keep checking this thread and another thread called 'Islamic talk", you will learn a lot aside all those misconceptions you have been having towards Islam. Just keep checking the two threads and you will learn a great deal about Islam Shalom |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() See how the verses were made clear to them yet they , ,,,,,,,,, |
batu:I pity your soul when none of your so called friends here will not be able to intercede for you. I can see that you have really gone mad and I just pray they should hold you on time before you get to the market because you may never be cured of your madness. Honestly, if not that your brain is working in an anti-clockwise direction, you wouldnt have left the issue at hand and diverted to Muhammed, are we discussing Muhammed here. It has been established that you know nothing than what you are being taught by your pastors. Yours is not the first case. I could remember years ago, when one of your pastors, Evangelist Isang of one of the new generation churches organised a public debate at Law School in Victoria Island, he brought the topic, "Is Bible the word of God" and funny enough along the line, he diverted to the issue of Muhammed calling him all sort of names. He was then asked, “is Muhammed the topic" So also one of the Redeem Pastors, diverted the topic and started insulting my prophet, so am not bothered at all, you have been known for that, keep it. . Someone asked you questions, rather than answer the questions, you ignored the questions, attacked babs, mistook babs for misright and now diverted to Muhammed, hope you are ok? Your folks are not cautioning you now but if its babs that has been saying the blasphemous statement, they would have been saying all sort of bull shits. I am not here to speak ill of your prophet and I don’t blame you because you do resort to that whenever you have nothing to say. You know me very well when it comes to asking and verifying prophethood of a prophet and you know that I have lorry load of questions for you regarding Jesus in the bible and the unfulfilled prophesies, but am not after that here. So keep barking just like your sister in other thread. Babs is never disturbed and your insults never move me. ![]() |
@batu It seems you are frustrated , I hit you real hard. Never mind its not today that you have been calling babs all sort of names, babs is never perturbed, keep it up, you are well known for that, it has been your trade mark, I dont give a damn. @stimulus @davidylan Funny how you people interprete the bible to suit yourselves. I have no problem with that, its your bible, so its your problem. They will twist the bible to be in their favour, funny set of people. I never even expected that clear statement from Paul of all people but here, the disciples of paul (nairaland christians) twisting the bible to suit their taste. |
@babyshit ![]() Are you frustrated. You have just started, I thought the madness in you has reduced but I can see that it has just started, so continue backing. I thought you have been saying that you are the most tolerant, it has really shown on nairaland that you are indeed the most tolerant. You can never argue/debate any issue without resorting to abuse. It has been known to be your trade mark, so go on, put it in your pipe and smoke the hell, I dont give a damn. I could remember weeks ago when backslider accused the Quran of containing contradiction, I explained and re-explained to him yet, I didnt use any abusive word on him neither did I call him any name for asking the same question over and over again, but here you fool, will always resort to abuse whenever you have nothing to say. Why dont you say you have no answers to my questions rather than acting like one being possessed. If not that you just want to be mischievous, I have provided verses for you going against killing, I registered my condolence, likewise all muslims and what again do you want? I have told you that Islam does not support taking of another person's life yet you are not satisfied, acting foolishly. How many muslims have said and shown their displeasure to the killings yet you went mad re-bringing the whole issue. Muslims have been telling you that Allah doesnt support taking of another's soul, but it seems something has blocked your ear, you will never listen to whatever you are being told. I have said something on the killing, so also Mukina, Drixie, abdkabir, etc, what have you said to each and everyone of them's post despite the fact that they have condemned the act? You rather resorted to being stupid despite the fact that all muslims here condenmed the killing. It has been noted that no matter what you are being told, you will never listen, you are entitled to your opinion. No muslims supported the act and Allah does not support the act too. So, you are free again to say whatever you feel like saying, its a free world. I know you will always come back like a roaring lion |
@pataki Well, you may give it your own translation but you will never come across a verse saying 500 men and another saying 5000 men. So go on and let me know when you are through so that I will buy one from you . I only pity you people how you blaspheme against Allah, no muslim will tell you that God never exist.@babyosis, I know you. You will always avoid issues concerning christians but the first to say anything on Islam. ![]() You are mixing up things. I never said that there are no translators of the Quran too but read the verses very well, you will not see one saying 7000 and another saying 700. If only you know read, and understand the Tafsir, then you will understand what I am trying to tell you that they are all saying the same regardless of the grammar being used and not a verse saying today and another saying yesterday. @davidylan Ok. You said that I am mixing things up. If one cant be a servant of sin, what of one being servant of God as used below: v 22: but now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the return you get is sanctification and its end, eternal life. What do you have to say to the above? Also slave of sin and slave of righteousness being used refer to Satan and God respectively. By being slave of sin, you are also slave of Satan and by being slave of righteousness, you have become slave of God as used above. Also the below verse gives us better understanding that, whoever you receive instruction from, is your master and you are his slave Romans 6 v 16: know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey, whether of sin unto death, nor of obedience unto righteousness. 17: but God be thanked that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered to you. v 18: Being then made free from sin, ye became the servant of righteousness. v 20 : When you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness. |
buluti:No sir. My tolerance has nothing to do with western influence. There are verses in the Quran that go against exceeding limit, killing, etc. Allah does not support killing. We have muslims from the North that didnt have western influence yet they are very peaceful, tolerant etc. A person that takes another soul is doomed for hell. |
@davidylan, Alhamdulillah, I am muslim and will die as one. I have told part of my story that made me familair with biblical verses. I do read the bible too but read the Quran more because the bible cannot stand the bible. The Quran has never been incomprehensible for me. Allah made it easier for me to read, understand and apply to day-to-day activities. By the way, what do you mean by your last paragraph? Please explain: *Does Allah have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to say on this issue? * |
@batu It is now you know that you would not engage in any abuse, but you never remembered that when you started behaving stupid and thought that you could be writing jargons about people, ignoring questions and resorting to attacking individual's post when you have no answers to questions. If you care to know, you started it and I gave it back to you the way you brought it. If you are that blind, read your post up. As for me, I am not frustrated and can never be. I put everything here behind me and this is not the first time I will dealing with slowpoke like you, I dont give a damn and it doesnt move me at all. So if you cant answer the question, why not keep quiet and stop picking at babs' post. Lazy slowpoke. #Again, I say your questions are an invitation to "mutual foolishness"; because you are not ready to learn, but only open to unintelligent disputations which is your trademark. That is why you are now commonly and appropriately referred to as 'blabs'. So keep on your childish blabbings# Who is foolish between you and I? Did I ask questions or misright? I can see that you are really blind or probably not with your glasses. You've mistaken misright that asked questions to babs that never asked questions. I dont blame you because you are not after the topic but after babs and that is why you stupidly mistook me for misright that asked questions, we know you christians for that, always resorting to name calling, abuse etc when you have no answers. Continue wallowing in your drivel. Escapist. Babs can never be frustrated, get that straight into your head. ![]() |
@stimulus Very funny translation of the word ' slave'. Let me start with a verse Romans 6 v 16: know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey, whether of sin unto death, nor of obedience unto righteousness What is your understanding of the verse that you are the servant of whom you yield yourself to? A very clear statement made by Paul. Are you yielding to God. So if you are yielding to God, what are you then as said by paul in the above verse. A very funny translation. Honestly, christians will never stop amusing me ![]() |
