@davidylan Funny how you people reply posts. He was laying emphasis on April fool and you went about going the other way. I really do not blame you because you have most of the teachings of pagans included your so called christianity religion. |
@MUSTAY Which side you belong? Is is the side of we gunners or others? |
amin |
Dont worry. We gunners leave this season for you but that does not mean that we will not show you yeye chelsea pepper when we meet. Mau received its beating likewise riverpool, sorry liverpool. It will be chel-lagoon's turn. Gunners 4 life |
My best wrestler no doubt is undertaker. After many years of fighting, the guy seems not tired at all. He is still maintaining his composure. He's has never chickened out let other wrestlers. Long life Undertaker |
Where did you hear the story from? Hope you are not referring to the wife wey im don divorced. |
I read someone saying man united will win treble. No be only treble na fourble dem go win. So you think those bunch of old legs can do that? Where you are having only that tout (rooney) upfront and that jester (ronaldo) playing the role of supporting striker or winger. I wonder how you will be able to deal with chelsea when they handle you Though you may collect the premiership title but we still remain your boss this season. We beat you home and away flat. As for the UEFA, you are going nowhere, chelsea go stil waka pass you small but they too will be buried alive when they meet valencia. Nothing for you and chelsea as far as UEFA IS concerned. Yeye devils. Bunch of legs. You better tell your coach to come and receive lecture from Arsene Wenger. Most of your legs will retire next season and you will need youngies to fill up the space. |
@mukina leave arsenal enemies alone. Its not their fault but for the fact that we had too many injuries to contend with. But never mind, as from next season, we will be thrasing everybody. We will collect the carling cup, the FA, premiership and the EUFA. Arsenal will be a better and a very strong team next season. So leave all those mischiev makers, let them defect to Nasarawa United or Orlando Pirates for I care, I remain a Gunner fan and will always do. Gunners for life |
@all gunner fans I want to verify some things I heard 1. I heard that freddie Ljumberg will be sold next season 2. I learnt that Senderos will be on loan 3. I learnt that Frank Ribbery will come to Emirates 4. I also learnt that Robinho will be coming to Arsenal too 5. I heard about Abidal too Please can someone verify and get back at me. @TayoD While this list was not made by me, I can still add to it if you remain adamant. Never mind. Am not after whether it was made by you or not but being able to pass across the message intended for. I don’t think I will needing any again because the one you supplied can be held to be the solid points for the phrase ‘LIKE UNTO THEE” but if you want to , you may supply others you mentioned. Honestly, your posts amaze me. We are looking at the similarities peculiar to the three of them and you are bringing in the issues of other prophets.Besides, I am not here to speak ill of jesus here but to concentrate on the topic at hand. You know me too well when it comes to that but I will not do that in order not to deviate from the main topic. If you speak ill of someone’s God, have it in mind that the same person will speak ill of your God too and you may not like it. I leave you to ponder on that. Let me not go to your similarities on after the other. @babs787,Here are some striking similarities between Jesus and Moses. 1. Moses and Christ were born in poverty (The Israelites being under subjugation to a foreign power). (Exodus 1:9-14). Muhammed (saw) was born in poverty too. His father died before his birth. He also lost his mother before he was six years old. He became an orphan at the age of 6 and had to be put under the chsrge of his grandafather Abdul Muttalib. He also died two years afterwards and confided to his son Abu Talib the chrge of the little orphan Muhammed. None of the other two prophets mentioned above suffered like him during their youthful days. Also, from youth to manhood he led an almost solitary life. The lawlessness rife among the Meccans, the sudden outbursts of causeless and bloody quarrels among the tribes frequenting the Fair of Okadh (The Arabian Olympia), and the immorality and skepticism of the Quraish, naturally caused feelings of pity and sorrow in the heart of the sensitive youth. 2. On both infants death was plotted. (Exodus 1:15-16,22, Matthew 2:13ff.). Here, the plotting of death was a hoax. I don’t know where to start but I must start somewhere. The alleged prophecies in the Gospel of Matthew 1) Out of Egypt: Matthew (2:15):”He stayed there until the death of Herod, that what the Lord had said through the prophet might be fulfilled, "Out of Egypt I called my son." “ This is in relation to Hosea, chapter 1: 1 When Israel was a child I loved him, out of Egypt I called my son. 2 The more I called them, the farther they went from me, sacrificing to the Baals and burning incense to idols. 3 Yet it was I who taught Ephraim to walk, who took them in my arms;” As we can see, that is not a messianic prophecy. It identifies the son as being the Israelite people, then it goes on “The more I called them, the farther they went from me, sacrificing to the Baals….” Which, in conclusion, we can safely say that the author of Matthew ripped the passage out of context and labeled it as a prophecy. Furthermore, it should be noted that none of the other gospels mentioned this. The reason why Matthew invented such thing is to provide some parallels between Moses and Jesus. 2) The slaughter of Children Matthew, chapter 2: ” 16 When Herod realized that he had been deceived by the magi, he became furious. He ordered the massacre of all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity two years old and under, in accordance with the time he had ascertained from the magi. 17 Then was fulfilled what had been said through Jeremiah the prophet: 18 "A voice was heard in Ramah, sobbing and loud lamentation; Rachel weeping for her children, and she would not be consoled, since they were no more."” Matthew is quoting Jeremiah: Jeremiah, chapter 31: ”15 Thus says the LORD: In Ramah is heard the sound of moaning, of bitter weeping! Rachel mourns her children; she refuses to be consoled because her children are no more. 16 Thus says the LORD: Cease your cries of mourning, wipe the tears from your eyes. The sorrow you have shown shall have its reward, says the LORD, they shall return from the enemy's land. 17 There is hope for your future, says the LORD; your sons shall return to their own borders. 18 I hear I hear Ephraim pleading: You chastised me, and I am chastened; I was an untamed calf. If you allow me, I will return, for you are the LORD, my God.” When examined, we also conclude that there is no messianic prophecy here: 1) It is talking about the deportation of the 10 tribes of Israel.Rachel was the mother of Joseph, on the other hand Leah was the mother of Judah and the son of Joseph was Ephraim. Also, we need to note that the name Israelite was often used to denote to the 10 lost tribes of Israel. We conclude from this that Judah and his descendents were associated with Bethlehem, not Ephraim; therefore, the descendents of Judah were the children of Leah, not Rachel. 2) The verses above specifically say that the children are in the land of the enemy. 3) It is clearer once we examine verse 17, your sons shall return to their own borders. 4) Ramah is about 6 miles north of Jerusalem while Bethlehem is also about 6 miles south of Jerusalem which shows that the Geography doesn’t fit. It should be noted also that the alleged massacre claimed by Matthew is only mentioned in his gospel. Josephus, the famous Jewish historian, on the other hand failed to mention such massacre. Once again, it is rather clear that Matthew is fabricating stories to create parallels between Moses and Jesus. Also it should be noted that John was few years older than jesus and the massacre never affected him!!! Flavius Josephus, the famous Jewish historian who carefully chronicled Herod's abuses, makes no mention of such massacre www.infidels.org/library/modern/jim_lippard/fabulous-prophecies.html 3. Both were rescued by divine intervention. (Exodus 2:2-10, Matthew 2:13ff.). It has been explained in no 2. It was a hoax written by only Mathew to make people believe that Moses was like Jesus. 4. Both were revealed by signs and wonders. (Exodus 7:10,19,20; chapters 8-12; 14:21-22; 17:6-7; Matthew 8:14ff; Luke 7:11; Matthew 14:13, etc.). No sir. All prophets of God performed one miracle or the other. Their people do not believe them until they do miracle for them. Jesus had been known before his miracles, he only did the miracle for people to believe in him. on Moses too, he did miracles in order for the people to believe that he was really sent from God. On the issue of Muhammed, his people gathered around and told him all sort of things that he should do to make them believe in him. They mocked at him and urged him for miracles to prove his mission. Despite all the exhortation of the Prophet, the Quraish persisted in asking him for a sign. They insisted that unless some sign be sent down to him from his Lord, they would not believe. The mother of all miracles is the Holy Quran. Also he did a miracle which no other prophet has done which is the bodily ascension to heaven to bring the five daily prayers. 5. Moses was prepared in the wilderness for forty years; Christ for forty days. (In Biblical symbolism forty stands for preparation). (Acts 7:23 with Exodus 7:7, Matthew 4:1 ff.). So to you, 40 years is the same as 40 days? Is that a similarity? 6. Both are called "faithful servant" in Scripture. (Hebrew 3:2-5). After a journey from Syria at the age of twelve years, the youth of Muhammad seems to have been passed uneventfully, but all authorities agree in ascribing to him such correctness of manners and purity of morals as were rare among the people of Mecca. The fair character and the honorable bearing of the unobtrusive youth won the approbation of the citizens of Mecca, and by common consent he received the title of "Al Ameen," The Faithful.Note, he was given the name during his time while jesus’s was done after his death which he had no knowledge of. 7. Moses liberated Israel from the bondage of their oppressors; Christ liberated believers from the bondage of sin (of which Egypt throughout the Bible is the type). (Exodus, Isaiah 53, John 8:32-36, Romans 6:18-22, 8:2, Galatians 5:1). Na wa o. wonder shall never end. So this another similarity? Muhammed is like Moses in that he liberated his people from the bondage of oppression. During his time, authority in Mecca was divided among the ten senators who constituted the governing body of the Arabian Commonwealth. There was no such accord among them as to ensure the safety of individual rights and property. Though family relations afforded some degree of protection to citizens, yet strangers were frequently exposed to persecution and oppression. In many cases they were robbed, not only of their goods, but even of their wives and daughters. At the instigation of the faithful Muhammad, an old league called the Federation of Fudul, i.e., favors was revived with the object of repressing lawlessness and defending every weak individual - whether Meccan or stranger, free or slave - against any wrong or oppression to which he might be the victim within the territories of Mecca. For three weary long years, the Prophet labored very quietly to deliver his people from the worship of idols. Polytheism was deeply rooted among the people. It offered attractions, which the new faith in its purity did not possess. The Quraish had personal material interests in the old worship, and their prestige was dependent upon its maintenance. The Prophet had to contend with the idolatrous worship of its followers and to oppose the ruling oligarchy, which governed its destinies. He stopped the killing of females, worshipping of 306 idols etc Jesus on the order hand was never allowed to talk. A prophet was among them when he came (john the Baptist) so he didn’t liberate anybody. There is nowhere in the gospel that says he liberated his people from slavery, oppression etc. He never had control of his people whereas the other two did. They were able to maintain peace and orderliness and were great leaders during their time. Jesus on the other hand never even ruled his household let alone ruling the people. He was never allowed to control and lead his people. Muhammed and Moses’ people feared them but reverse was the case with jesus, his people never accept him let alone fearing him. Their people (Moses and Muhamed) first rejected them and later accepted them during their life but jesus people never accepted him till he died.If we look at the three prophets, we will agree that Moses and Muhammed liberated their people from oppression, slavery etc while Jesus on the other liberated his through sin (as put by Christians). So Jesus here has no similarity with Moses. 8. The water was subject to the authority of both: (The Red Sea to Moses; the Sea of Galilee to Christ). (Exodus 14:21, 17:6, Matthew 14:22ff., John 6:16ff., Matthew 8:18). What similarity can we infer from here now. Did Jesus part the sea? Did the Israelite cross the sea? Were they pursued to the sea? 9. Moses spoke to God, "face to face"; so did Christ, on the Mount of Transfiguration. (Exodus 33:11, Matthew 17:3). Yes Moses ate with God too on the mountain and he even showed him part of his body!!!. Muhammed performed the greatest miracle that none of the prophets ever performed which is the bodily ascension to heaven. He saw God during his ascension where he went to bring the five daily prayers. He had it reduced from fifty to five through prophet moses. Almighty Allah had said: Glorified (and Exalted) be He (Allah) (above all that evil they associate with Him), Who took His slave Muhammad for a journey by night from AL Masjid al Haram (at Makka) to the farthest mosque (in Jerusalem), the neighborhood whereof We have blessed, order that We might show him (Muhammad) of Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, lessons, signs, etc.). Verily, He is the All Hearer, the All Seer." ( 17:1 Quran) 10. After this experience, the face of Moses shone; and so did the whole appearance of Christ. (Exodus 34:29, Matthew 17:2). So this is your similarity!! Like unto thee. Didn’t you go through my own similarities? Very funny. 11. Moses was the mediator of the Old Covenant (Testament); Christ of the New Covenant, or Testament. (Exodus 19 and 20, Hebrews 12:24). Another similarity indeed!!! Which Testament are you referring to? Is it the Testamant of Ezekiel, kings, songs of Solomon, Malachi, Daniel, Isaiah etc . Is it the gospel according to Mathew or the gospel according to Luke or the book of Hebrew, Acts of Apostles, book of Romans, 1st John or 2nd john etc, 12. Both prophesied events that were fulfilled. (Deuteronomy 18:15-22, 28:15-29:67, Matthew 24). Ok. Give me the prophesy of Moses and that of Jesus that came to pass and I will give those of Muhammed. So this is another similarity. Muhammed too prophesized events that were fulfilled. 13. The Jews rebelled against both. (Exodus 5:21, 14:11-12, 17:2-4, Numbers 11:1-33, Luke 4:16-30, John 11:47-50, Matthew 26:50-56, 27:15-23 etc.). Muhammed too was rebelled against and that led to the wars he fought. I.e the battle of badr, the battle of trench, the battle of Uhud, Huddaibiyah Treaty etc.Do you consider that of Jesus as being rebelled against? 14. Both died because of sin - Moses for his own sin; Christ for the sin of the whole world. (Numbers 20:12, Deuteronomy 34:4-5, I Corinthians 15:3, John 1:29, 10:14-16, Isaiah 53, etc.). Let me explain the verses one after the other.Moses died a natural death and likewise Muhammed, but jesus was crucified according to Christians. Moses died for his own sin likewise Muhammed but according to Christians, jesus died for your sin. So here, moses and Muhammed are very similar in the sense that both of them died for their sins while Jesus died for the sin of Christians. Understood? 15. We have reason to believe that Moses rose again (Jude 9, Luke 9:30); Jesus Christ without doubt rose from the dead according to the Gospel. (Matthew 28:14, Luke 24:34, I Corinthians 15:4). Where is the similarity? All the prophets of God had risen and not only Moses this time. But the emphasis is on how they all died. Moses and Muhammed died naturally while jesus was crucified. Moses and Muhammed as well as other prophets rose but not after three days while jesus rose after three days. so no similarity here brother. 16. The most important and anticipated event of the life of Moses happened after his death: the occupation of the Promised Land. And so it was with Christ: Christ, being the anti-type of Moses, secured new life for us by His death. (Romans 5:6-8, 8:34, I Corinthians 15:3,22, II Corinthians 5:15, I Thessalonians 5:9-10, etc.). Explain better pls. Where is the similarity man? After that we will go to "will put my words in his mouth" and maybe "from among your brethren" and finally to John 16 v 7 |
There is nothing like Trinity. All the prophets in the OT never preached trinity. it was an insertion by the Catholics in which they have no proof for. christianity is no different from paganism. It has its origin from paganism. Most of the doctrines preached in christianity are being shared or had been shared by other pagans, likewise the attributes of historical jesus being shared by some pagans before his birth. As we proceed, we will shed more light on the pagan influence in christianity. So I dont believe in trinity and if you do, I have some questions for you and if you can answer them, no problem. Three in one? When he is not Dvd player or musical instrument ![]() |
@backslider, You amuse me a lot with your posts. Why preaching what you cant defend.? You might have read my post up, common say something on that with regards to 2nd timothy 3 v 16. Funny God that left the throne and came down to earth and stayed with his creation. He left part of his power to the extent that he never had power like he used to when in Heaven. When he learnt that they wanted to kill him, he went to the garden with his disciples and prayed to himself that, 'Let this cup pass me, not as I will but as thou". God on earth praying to his other half in heaven. It is also noticed that his remaining part in heaven had power more the part on earth. When crucified according to christians, he cried on the cross to himself in Heaven saying ",,, why has thou forsaken me". God on earth crying to part of him in Heaven for leaving him in times of trouble. This same God was a no-nonsense God in the OT that killed whoever disobeyed him but reverse is the came with the NT God. His creation led him and he the creator followed them like dummy to Golgotha. Why cant you think man. How could you be comparing creator to creation? How could you be comparing operator to the person on whom the operation is being performed? More still coming but do justice to the issue above. |

@Trinitygirl He's not sounding confused but you are the one confusing yourself. Havent you been preaching that God jesus is a prince of peace that he never killed, but we have been reading lots of atrocities perpetrated by God of the OT going against your claim as God Jesus being the prince of peace and God that never killed. If you will tell me that God of the OT is different from NT based on the fact that God of the OT killed while that of the NT did his in rare cases, I will agree. But you cant tell me that you have only one God when the one of the OT indulged in killings, kidnapping, wrestled with human being, allowed fornication, allowed marrying harlot etc while that of the NT restricted himself. Let me stop here but ponder on that. To the case of satan. Satan never changed. Satan of the OT is still the same of the NT. |
U r welcome intelligent and charming sister ![]() |
@tetede Cant ladies having lower qualifications apply? Afterall your friends are not going to marry certificate but based on character, religion, beauty etc ![]() |
@tetede How much will be the Agency fee and commission? ![]() |
It is not only your two points that go against the teaching. I have other ponts here as well but will bring them when yours have been attended to. On the issue of thou shall not kill, it wasnt Jesus that killed but God of the OT, God of the OT is different from that of the NT. While that of the OT was a warrior, killer that spares no one, even animals, the NT God tamper justice with mercy in some cases. Secondly, God inherited sin of his father (adam as God's father). The christian God must be a very funny God; He made his creation sinned. He changed himself to human being, left his throne, came down and eat and drink like his creation. He allowed his creation to mock him. He also allowed them to beat him, tore his cothes, rained insults on him and allowed his creation to nail and kill Him. He also prayed to himself at the field when he went with his disciples. He prayed lifting his face to himself in heaven and he God in heaven sent angel to God on earth to strenghten him that his creation would not kill him. etc, ,,, Very sick indeed. It is believed that jesus was never a sinner. We will dig deep into the bible (just like RCCG) to know if really, he wasnt a sinner. ![]() ![]() |
@babyosis How come christianity is the light? I wonder when christians start laying claim to the bible as being the light when we have lots of sex stories, absurdities, incosistencies, vulgarities, pornography, contradictions, unknown authors, plagiarism, pagan influence, etc. Very soon, we will compare the two books based on the chapters and verses and other issues present in both the Quran and the bible and see which should be called holy book. |

@tayod, Well sorry for the word 'attacked". I only meant that you only laid emphasis on the unlikes but not on similarities. By the way, you all believe that babs has been lifting from sites. You will never know more than you already know if you decide to stay with the little you are hearing from your pastors. I don’t need to go into my story again but you might have come across my posts in which I have been using different versions of your bible. If that’s your belief, you are entitled to your opinion. If you need any bible verse, I will always give it to you. You can never pull wool over me when it comes to bible. When one of your sisters told me that she would oblige me later, did I say that she wanted to lift from sites? That’s the hypocrisy we have been talking. Somebody will go scot free for saying something so far he/she is a christian but muslims will always be penalised for the same act. Now, from my first post, I listed three unlikes and some similarities between Moses and Muhammad. You decided to act on the unlikes claiming that I disappointed you with just three unlikes, and as such came out with 10 unlikes. Let me reply your post (syrup & tayod): #1. Moses was a Jew while Muhammad was not. Moses was not a Jew but a Levi exodus 2 v 1-2: During this time, a man and woman from the tribe of Levi got married. The woman became pregnant and gave birth to a son. The name ‘Jacob’ was changed to Israel after wrestling with God. The descendants of Jacob were Israelites consisting of the twelve tribe. Judah was nicknamed ‘jew’ so that only Judah’s descendants were called Jews originally. Also on Moses, read Exodus 6 v 16 – 20: And these are the names of the sons of Levi according to their generations, Ghershan, and Kohath and Merari,,, and the sons of Kohath; Amram,, and Amran took him Jochebed his father’s sister to wife and she bare him Aaron and Moses. So Moses was not a jew because he did not descend from Judah but a Levite. He was a ‘law giver’ to the children of Israel. #2. Moses was a Monogamist while Muhammad was a polygamist. Well, both of them married while Jesus never did. You claimed that Muhammed preached Polygamy while Jesus and Moses preached Monogamy, can you please bring out from the bible where it is said that you must not marry more than one wife as said by both of them. #3. Moses was literate while Muhammad was illeterate 9at least that is what they claim). I accept that #4. Moses was a Shepherd while Muhammad was a trader (and later a raider) Accepted #5. Moses heard directly from God, Muhammad did not. I will explain that when we get to the phrase, ‘I will put my words in his mouth’ #6. No one knows where Moses was buried, while Mohammeds grave is known. Here, they were all buried but Jesus rose the 3rd day (as put by Christians) while muhammed and moses never did that. #7. Moses had numerous eye witnesses to his divine encounters while Muhammad had nothing. Muhammed did too #8. Moses appeared with Jesus in the New Testament while Muhammad did not. We are talking similarities, like unto thee and not ‘appearing together’ #9. Moses performed miracles, while Muhammad did not. He performed many miracles just like in the above a. Water coming out of his finger in which it was used for ablution for many people. b. He made the moon split into two c. His ascension to heaven to bring the five daily compulsory prayers #10. Moses saw God face to face while Muhammad did not. Muhammed saw God too during his ascension to heaven Read: Quran 17 v 1 Almighty Allah had said: Glorified (and Exalted) be He (Allah) (above all that evil they associate with Him), Who took His slave Muhammad for a journey by night from AL Masjid al Haram (at Makka) to the farthest mosque (in Jerusalem), the neighborhood whereof We have blessed, order that We might show him (Muhammad) of Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, lessons, signs, etc.). Verily, He is the All Hearer, the All Seer." In the twelfth year of his mission, the Prophet made his night journey from Mecca to Jerusalem, and thence to heaven. His journey, known in history as Miraj (Ascension) was a real bodily one and not only a vision. It was at this time that Allah ordered the Muslims to pray the five daily prayers. In the first heaven, he saw Adam there. In the second heaven, he saw John (Yahya) and Jesus (Isa), who were cousins of each other. In the third heaven, he saw Joseph (Yusuf), In the fourth heaven, he saw Enoch (Idris), In the fifth heaven, he saw Aaron (Harun), In the sixth heaven, he Moses (Musa) In the seventh heaven, he Abraham (Ibrahim). If you have read the verse very well, you would have seen the phrase, 'Like unto thee". Like unto thee here means that the prophet that the phrase refers to must have similarities with jesus. So here, you are being one sided, acting on my unlikes to derive your own unlikes and never bother to go into the similarities between moses and jesus. For better clarification, below are the similarities again: Eight similarities between Moses and Muhammed 1. Father and Mother 2. Miraculous Birth 3. Marriage Ties 4. Jesus rejected by his people 5. Other worldly kingdom 6. No new laws 7. How they departed 8. Heavenly abode Let me have yours probably listed in the format above or in any arrangement whatsoever and after that, we move to john 16 v 7. Byeeeeeeeeeee |
@babyosis, It seems you develop cold feet for this word "Allah"? But I will ask you some honest questions: What language is arabic bible written? What name do we have for God in the arabic bible? Also, was Jesus aware of the name "God" during his time? What is the real name of God? |
It will never make sense to those that are inclined to falsehood and are not ready to verify what they have been carrying and preaching all these while. I dont want your case to be like that of Hosea 4 v 6. Bring out a verse that has been wrongly interpreted. The person is really inquisitive having read the bible and still reading the bible, comes up with some astonishing bible stories, disturbing stories in the bible, pornography in the bible, killing spree in the bible, contradictions, plagiarism, paganism in christianity etc. So am still reading the bible and will continue reading. Thank God I have not been using the Quran for the topic 'was jesus crucified" but your own bible. If I have been using it, you people would have been saying lots of things. I have just started and only got to the issue of anointing. I am looking forward to what you will say when we get to other verses in your same bible. A christian even said that I have been lifting from websites, that is his own belief. I dont argue in debate that lacks proof, evidence and facts. We shall see if babs has been reading the bible, lifting from sites or turning verses upside down. ![]() |
@tayod & syrup Tayod, you have attacking me based on the unlikes but you have not posted the similarities between the two. I will definitely work on your post (syrup) and get back at you. We are still on 'like unto thee', after that we move to 'among your brethren' and finally to 'I will put my words in his mouth' Take care while you await my post. |
@babyosis I will respond to your posts according to how they were posted 1. Posted by babyosis Muhammad like the womanizer Solomon must have been reciting those same words in bed with his infant lover over and over again, even as the koran was being revealed Your argument holds no water here. Do you have any proof of his (Muhammed saw) reciting those obnoxious words in the Quran? 2. You said christians are the followers of jesus. Can you tell me the meaning of christianity? I know you will tell me that it means those following Jesus. If Christianity means those following jesus and jesus was also a christian, do we say that jesus was following jesus? Was Jesus a christian? We all know that all the prophets were mentioned as being Muslims in the Quran and also the word 'Islam' was used. Can you show me anywhere in the Nt during Jesus' time, where we will find the word 'christian' as being used by Jesus to refer to those following him. Bring me from the bible the word 'christian' used by jesus. Can Jesus be compared with Muhammed (saw)? 3. Have you read the book? (100 most influential men) by H. Hart. He placed Muhammed first and Jesus not 2nd but 3rd. Let me now attend comparison one after the other. Posted by babyosis Muhammad was the prophet of war; Christ is the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6-7. Was Jesus really prince of peace? Lets read: Zephaniah 2:12-15 "You Ethiopians will also be slaughtered by my sword," says the LORD. And the LORD will strike the lands of the north with his fist. He will destroy Assyria and make its great capital, Nineveh, a desolate wasteland, parched like a desert. The city that once was so proud will become a pasture for sheep and cattle. All sorts of wild animals will settle there. Owls of many kinds will live among the ruins of its palaces, hooting from the gaping windows. Rubble will block all the doorways, and the cedar paneling will lie open to the wind and weather. This is the fate of that boisterous city, once so secure. "In all the world there is no city as great as I," it boasted. But now, look how it has become an utter ruin, a place where animals live! Everyone passing that way will laugh in derision or shake a defiant fist Ezekiel 9:5-7 "Then I heard the LORD say to the other men, "Follow him through the city and kill everyone whose forehead is not marked. Show no mercy; have no pity! Kill them all – old and young, girls and women and little children. But do not touch anyone with the mark. Begin your task right here at the Temple." So they began by killing the seventy leaders. "Defile the Temple!" the LORD commanded. "Fill its courtyards with the bodies of those you kill! Go!" So they went throughout the city and did as they were told." Mathew 10 v 34: Do not think that I have come to make peace on earth? I have not come to bring peace but a sword. For I have come to set a man against his father and a daughter against her mother. Luke 12 v 49: I came to cast fire upn the earth, and would that it were already kindled. Do you think that I have come to give peace on earth? No, I tell you, but rather division; for from hencefortgh in one house there will be five divided, theee against two and two against three. They will be divided, father against son, and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against her mother. ISAIAH 9 V6 Most christians think that this prophesy was for Jesus, but we will read on to know if it was really for him. Isaiah 9:6 - KJV "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6 - LITV "For a Child is born; to us a Son is given; and the government is on His shoulder; and His name is called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." Let me add from 7: of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David and upon his kingdom, to order it and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of host will perform this. Having done the above, let me break the verse for you Government shall be on his shoulder Did jesus ever rule his people? He was never allowed. Was he king? John 18v33-37: , then pilate entered into the judgment hall again and called jesus and said unto him, 'art thou the king of the jews'? Jesus answered, "my KINGDOM IS NOT OF THIS WORLD. if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight that I should not be delivered to the jews BUT NOW IS MY KINGDOM NOT FROM THENCE.Pilate therefore said unto him, 'art thou A KING THEN?' Jesus answered, 'thou sayest that I am a king, He was never king and he never ruled, as a result, the above prophesy is not for him. Wonderful He was not the only one to be accorded the word 'wonderful' .All prophets are wonderful. They all came with miracles and we learnt that Jesus said he couldnt do anything by himself John 5v30: , i can of mine do nothing. So he is not the wonderful referred to here. Counsellor/Comforter The prophesy is not for him as we read jesus telling his disciples that he needed to go so as allow room for the COMFORTER TO COME. (john 16v5-7). He was never allowed to talk, as a result of this, he told them that it was necessary for him to go so that the comforter would come (the last prophet) and 'when he come, he would tell you all things and guide you into all truth'. Jesus was never a counsellor/Comforter. The Mighty God He was not the only one being referred to as God. Mind you, small 'g' is supposed to be used in John 1v1 but never mind I will still talk on that. Moses too was made god for Pharaoh. If you don't know, one of the thieves name crucificted together with jesus is called JESUS BARABAS. meaning that he was another God. Jesus was supposed to be named Immanuel, but was named Jesus instead. Have you tried finding the meaning of the word 'jesus'?.Jesus was never a God and will never be. Moses too was referred to as god for Pharaoh. The Prince of Peace." Is jesus really prince of peace? lets read the below verses Mathew 10v34: 'do not think that I HAVE COME TO MAKE PEACE ON EARTH? I HAVE NOT COME TO BRING PEACE BUT A SWORD!!!!!!. For I have come to SET A MAN AGAINST HIS FATHER AND A DAUGHTER AGAINST HER MOTHER. Luke 12v49: ' I CAME TO CAST FIRE UPON THE EARTH AND WOULD THAT IT WERE ALREADY KINDLED, DO YOU THINK THAT I HAVE COME TO GIVE PEACE ON EARTH? NO. I TELL YOU, BUT RATHER DIVISION FOR FROM HENCEFORTH in one house there will be five divided, three against two, and two against three. They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother. hmmmmmmmmmm. Did you read all that. So the above prophesy couldnt have been for Jesus. Posted by babyosis Muhammad promoted persecution against the "infidels"; Christ forgave and converted the chief persecutor (1 Timothy 1:13-15). Ok, lets see God Jesus' position on infidel. I will give you just two or three verses out of very many. Let us look at Deuteronomy 13:6-9 "If your very own brother, or your son or daughter, or the wife you love, or your closest friend secretly entices you, saying: Let us go and worship other gods (gods that neither you nor your fathers have known, gods of the peoples around you, whether near or far, from one end of the land to the other, or gods of other religions), do not yield to him or listen to him. Show him no pity. Do not spare him or shield him. You must certainly put him to death. Your hand must be the first in putting him to death, and then the hands of all the people." Also let us look at Deuteronomy 17:3-5 "And he should go and worship other gods and bow down to them or to the sun or the moon or all the army of the heavens, , and you must stone such one with stones and such one must die." 2 Chronicles 15:13 "All who would not seek the LORD, the God of Israel, were to be put to death, whether small or great, man or woman." Posted by babyosis Muhammad was the taker of life; Christ was the giver of life (John 10:27-28).[ Lets read if Jesus has never taken any life Ezekiel 9:5-7 "Then I heard the LORD say to the other men, "Follow him through the city and kill everyone whose forehead is not marked. Go!" So they went throughout the city and did as they were told." Genesis 38 v 7; But Er, Judah's first born was wicked in the sight of the Lord and the Lord killed him. Posted by babyosis Muhammad and his fellow warriors murdered thousands; Christ murdered none but saved many (compare John 12:48). Same as in the above. I have given you verses where he killed Posted by babyosis Muhammad's method was COMPULSION; Christ's aim was voluntary CONVERSION (Acts 3:19). No sister. Read: Quran 2 v 256; , ,, There is no compulsion in religion. Have you read or being told how christianity was spread? Posted by babyosis Muhammad practiced FORCE; Christ preached FAITH (John 6:29, 35). Let me have the proof. Didnt you read in your bible that faith without work is useless and that unless your work exceed that of the scribes and the pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Posted by babyosis Muhammad was a WARRIOR; Christ is a DELIVERER (Col. 1:13; 1 Thessalonians 1:10). Are you referring to God of the OT or that of the NT? Clarify please. Posted by babyosis Muhammad conquered his enemies with the sword; Christ conquered his enemies with another kind of sword, the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God (Hebrews 4:12; Acts 2:37). Havent you been reading my posts? There is nowhere in the Quran where the word 'sword' is used but freely used in the bible. Read one of the verses where God jesus killed and ordered killing of people. Posted by babyosis Muhammad said to the masses, "Convert or die!"; Christ said, "Believe and live!" (John 6:47; 11:25-26). Let me have the verses. Maybe you are referring to apostasy. Allah did not say we should kill whoever turn away from Islam. Lets weigh the two books: Quran 4 7 v 25: verily, those who have turned back (have apostatized) as dibeliebers after the guidance has been manifested to them – satan has beautified for them (their false hopes) and Allah prolonged their term V 26: this is because they said to those who hate what Allah has sent down, ‘we will obey yu in part of the matter’. But Allah knows their secret. Quran 2 v 217: …. And whosoever of you turns back from his religion and dies as a disbeliever, then his deeds will be lost in this life and in the Hereafter and they will be the dwellers of the fire. They will abide therein forever. Quran 3 v 85: and whosoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him and in the hereafter, he will be one of the losers. Quran 3 v 91 : verily, those who disbelieved and died while they were disbelievers, the (whole) earth full of gold will not be accepted from anyone of them even if they offered it as a ransom. For them is a painful torment and they will have no helpers. Quran 5 v 54: O ye who believe! Whoever from among you turns back from his religion (Islam), Allah will bring a people whom He will love and they will love Him; humble towards the believers, stern towards the disbelievers, fighting in the way of Allah and never feat of the blame of the blamers. That is the Grace of Allah which he bestows on whom He wills. And Allah is All- Sufficient for His creatures’ needs, All- Knower Lets go into the bible: Let us look at Deuteronomy 13:6-9 "If your very own brother, or your son or daughter, or the wife you love, or your closest friend secretly entices you, saying: Let us go and worship other gods (gods that neither you nor your fathers have known, gods of the peoples around you, whether near or far, from one end of the land to the other, or gods of other religions), do not yield to him or listen to him. Show him no pity. Do not spare him or shield him. You must certainly put him to death. Your hand must be the first in putting him to death, and then the hands of all the people." Also let us look at Deuteronomy 17:3-5 "And he should go and worship other gods and bow down to them or to the sun or the moon or all the army of the heavens, , and you must stone such one with stones and such one must die." 2 Chronicles 15:13 "All who would not seek the LORD, the God of Israel, were to be put to death, whether small or great, man or woman." Posted by babyosis Muhammad was swift to shed blood (Romans 3:15-17); Christ shed His own blood for the salvation of many (Ephesians 1:7). What blood r u referring to? Was he killed or crucified? Hope u know the thread on 'was jesus crucified' is still on and the questions are still on. I wonder how you will be able to defend the signs of jonah when you have not been able to defend anointing and other verses. Posted by babyosis Muhammad preached "Death to the infidels!"; Christ prayed "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do" (Luke 23:34). Read the verses above for worse stories from the bible. Posted by babyosis Muhammad declared a holy war (Jihad) against infidels; Christ achieved a holy victory on Calvary's cross (Colossians 2:14-15) and His followers share in that victory (John 16:33). Why saying he was killed when you couldnt defend it? I can see that you dont understand what Jihad is. Jesus was never killed nor crucified. Jesus declared holy war on innocent souls, women, children, animals, etc and you claimed he was a prince of peace. Posted by babyosis Muhammad constrained people by conquest; Christ constrained people by love (2 Corinthians 5:14). Same issue. Havent you read the verses I gave you on apostasy? Jesus' killing outnumbered that of Muhammed. I will continue on the remaining later. Take care |
@NancyEkpoh This is what I have been waiting for. 2nd Timothy 3 v 16: All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and it is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. Four things can be got from the above verse: 1. Doctrine - teaching 2. Reproof - for convicting, rebuking, for showing people what is wrong in their lives 3. correction - useful for correcting faults 4. instruction unto righteousness - for training and teaching us how to live correctly. Which of the four do the below belongs? 1. Genesis 38 v 7; But Er, Judah's first born was wicked in the sight of the Lord and the Lord killed him. 2. 1st Samuel 19 v 23: and the spirit of God came upon Saul , and he too stripped off his clothes, and he too prophesised before Samuel and lay naked all the day and all the night. 3. Judge 16 v 1 : and he went to Gaza, and there he saw a HARLOT and he went into her. 4 Lots daughter commit incest with him Genesis 19 v 30: lot went up out of Zoar and dwelt in the hills with his two daughters. And the first born said to the younger, “our father is old and there is not a man on earth to come to us after the manner of all the earth Come let us make our father drink wine and we will lie with him that we may preserve offspring through our father. So they made their father drink wine that night and the first born went in and lay with her father; he did not know when she lay down or when she arose. And on the next day, the first born said to the younger, “ behold I lay last night with my father, let us make him drink wine tonight also; then you go in and lie with him that we may preserve offspring through our father. So they made their father drink wine that night also, and the younger arose and lay with him and he did not know when she lay down or when she arose. Thus both the daughters of lot were with child by their father!! 5. Judah with his daugher-in-law Tamar Genesis 38 v 15: when he saw her he thought her to be a harlot for she had covered her face. He went over her at the road side and said, “come, let me come into you’ for he did not that she was his daughter in law …., so he gave them to her and went into her and she conceived by him. About three months later, Judah was told, ‘ Tamar you daughter-in-law has played the harlot and moreover she is with child by harlotry. 6. The sex literature in the bible Song of Songs 8:1-3 "If only you were to me like a brother, who was nursed at my mother's breasts! Then, if I found you outside, I would kiss you, and no one would despise me. I would lead you and bring you to my mother's house-- she who has taught me. I would give you spiced wine to drink, the nectar of my pomegranates. His left arm is under my head and his right arm embraces me 7. The sex literature in the bible Song of Solomon 8:10 "Dear brothers, I'm a walled-in virgin still, but my breasts are full— And when my lover sees me, he knows he'll soon be satisfied." 8. The sex literature in the bible Song of Songs 4:5 "Your two breasts are like two fawns, like twin fawns of a gazelle that browse among the lilies." Let me stop here. Do I need say more? Am just bringing the cat out of the bag The bible is really 100% infallible God's word. ![]() |

@babyosis You said the bible was not revealed when they were making coitus interruptus: Was the Quran revealed to many people or just one person? Can the revelation/authorship of the bible be verified? Can the bible stand the same test with the Quran? I could remember vividly when you went to answering-islam and lifted rebuttals from one of your writers telling you to ignore Quran 4 v 82 and that you shouldnt answer Muslims if they tell you to use that for measuring the two books. Have you read the book of ezekiel and songs of solomon (books of flirtations) and other books of the old testament where virgins were spared for the wariors in your bible. Honestly, I get sick each time I read the bible. Is the bible worthy of showing to the little ones? You keep saying coitus interruptus, can the bible stands the Quran in terms of knowledge of things that has happened, things that are yet to happen (prophesy), science, biology, justice, equality before the law, economics, science of nature, etc? Is the bible in existence the same jesus brought? By the way, did jesus come with bible or Gospel? We learnt that Moses came with the Torah, can we same the books of the OT is the Torah given to Moses and Likewise the NT too, can we say that NT is the Gospel given to Jesus from Mathew to Revelation? Bible is the collection of many books, how come bible replace Gospel of jesus. How come the letters of Paul, James, Luke etc became part of the Gospel of Jesus? Also you christians are ingrate. We all know that jesus came with the Gospel but in all the books of the New Testament, no where you will see, 'the gospel according to jesus" but ' gospel according to saint mathew', 'gospel according to saing Luke' etc but no one according to jesus. If they ask you who the real followers of jesus are, tell them them it is the Muslims, we believe in his birth, his ascension, his miracles etc to the extent that Allah named a chapter after his mother. Also will you compare the story of jesus in the Quran with that of the bible? In the Quran, Jesus did his first miracle when he was still a baby but you christians claimed that he did it when he was of average age (when he turned water to wine at a party) Can the bible stand the same test with the Quran in all ramifications? |

Backslider:@backslider. I have decided not to indulge in any argument that lacks proofs, facts etc but your above post is just too good to be ignored. As a result, I have decided to reply you. To be honest with you, I do pity christians a lot. They believe that they know everything whereas if they have been reading their bible very well, they would have been seeing all these facts muslims have been telling them. This is the time to be relying on the sayings of pastors, Alfas, Imams etc, rather a time where you go out and make research about the God you are worshipping and how reliable and trustworthy is the means (channel) you are using in getting to Him. Christians have been labelling muslims as being the one that has been relying on what their leaders have been telling them, but I want you to know that, Islam is not like that and muslims do not do such a thing. Allah even told us to know him before we worship Him, there are verses from the Glorious Quran that speak on acquiring knowledge. Muslims do not follow the sayings of any Alfa or whatever, we believe in proofs, facts etc. If anybody bring anything strange to Islam, it will first be verified before taking/accepting it. Now to your post. Answer to your Ist paragraph How could you be equating Creation with Creator when there are verses in the bible that distinguishes the two. There is a confusion in the christian world as to the deity of jesus christ. Some christians will tell you that he is not God that he is only the messenger while some will tell you that he is God. Where the confusion lies is from the book of John 1 v1. Here, those christians that are claiming that jesus is God hold on the verse but never take the pains to read the remaining verses. They never even bother to find out the hebrew and the greek meaning of the word, 'God' as being used in the verse. If you can lay your hands on the Jehovah Witness bible, you will read that the very verse (john 1 v 1) that contains the word 'God' in other bibles is written with small 'g' in their bible, thereby following the real and true interpretation of the word 'God' as being used in the verse. Light will be shed on John 1 v 1 later. Also, there are countless verses that differentiate God from Jesus making us see that Jesus was sent by God to Israelite alone. Brother, why not fear that Day when Jesus will deny you! The day God will summon Jesus asking him whether Jesus told you to be worshipping him. Read below Quran 5 v 116 : And (remember) when Allah will say (on the day of Ressurection): O Isa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)! Did you say unto men: ‘worship me and my mother as two gods besides Allah? ‘He will say: ‘glory be to You! It was not for me to say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, you would surely have known it. You know what is in my inner-self though I do not not know what is in Yours, Truly, only You, are the All-Knower of all that is hidden (and unseen) V 117: “ Never did I say to them aught except what You (Allah) command me to say, ‘worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord’. And I was a witness over them while I dwelt amongst them, but when You took me up, You were the Watcher over them, and You are a Witness to all things. (This is a great admonition and warning to the Christians of the whole world). V 118: If you punish them, they are Your slaves and if you forgive them, verily, You only are the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. A word is enough for the wise. To your 2nd paragraph I have decided not to participate in any blind argument that lacks proofs, facts etc because you christians believe that you know everything and that you are on the right path with the right religion. I replied you here because of your blasphemous statement. To your 3rd Paragraph Point of correction. We muslims believe in Jesus, his miraculous birth, his ascension, his miracles, he was given a gospel, he was sent to the Israelites etc. Common, be sincere with yourself, if we do not believe in him, you wouldnt be reading his story and that of his mother in our book. It is not only muslims that are saying your bible is corrupt, some verses in your bible even said so which I have been giving to you all these while. To your 4th paragraph I pity your soul for all these blasphemous statement you have been uttering. If you do not believe in someone does not mean that you shouls speak ill of that person. Mind you, its this same prophet that will intercede for you on D day. Also, it will be better for you to believe in Him and the Holy Quran so that all your deeds will not turned un-accepted. Muslims have been providing proof for you even from your bible on the prophesy of this last prophet but due to arrogance, pride etc, you ignored the message. Why not stop deceiving yourself and accept the truth. It will be better for you to accept the truth now before it will be too late and you should also fear that day when all your friends here on nairaland will not be able to intercede for you because a soul's problem will be sufficient for him to bear and will not have time to look into the affair of another person. You have tried in so many ways to bring or lay your hands on any contradiction from the Quran. But each time you do, you are always refuted and explained to. Remember, its this same book you are calling false I have been using for you as measure of standard when your bible failed you. How many times I have quoted verses from the Quran and bible and used the two in judging issues? Can the bible stand the same test with the Quran? Is the bible comparable with the Quran? Can the authenticity of the bible be ascertained? etc Also, on that day, you will be asked if you have heard anything about Islam. its not even on the D day alone. Man's sufferness/enjoyment starts immediately he is being laid in the grave and buried in the earth. I wonder what you will tell God when you are being asked questions on 1. who is your God (I just beg you not to mention Jesus) 2. What do you know about Muhammed (here I wonder what you will say about the prophet you have been speaking ill of) 3. What is your religion (hope you will not mention anything aside Islam) Let me rest my case here. A word is enough for the wise I am still available anytime you will be needing my service. Accept Islam today and be saved. Maa Salam Peace |
Salam brother. May Allah be pleased with you. I have noticed that no matter what you tell them, backing everything up with proofs, evidences etc, they will still not hear. So I have decided to let them be because they think that they know everything more than we muslims. They do feel that their book is holier than our book, picking some verses from the Quran but forgotten that there are verses in the bible that are not worthy to be shown to people let alone being regarded as verses from the holy book (bible). I believe when the time comes, Allah will make those that are ready for the truth to see it because we can only preach and make them realise the truth, but its only Allah that saves and shows his servants the truth (Islam). But my prayer is that, may it not be too late before they realise the truth. May Allah increases your knowledge. Maa Salam |
