HARARE - Newspapers in Zimbabwe's major cities are selling like hot cakes after reports suggesting that United States First Lady Michelle Obama's father was born in Uzumba Maramba Pfungwe (UMP).

Fraser Robinson, Michelle's father was a plumber in Zimbabwe's capital city, Harare,then Salisbury in the colonial era. He worked for a pipe manufacturing firm,Robinson and Sons Pvt Co, thus where he got his surname, Robinson. Reports from the sources suggest his surname was Magwere (maize cobs in English) of the Soko totem (monkey). Mr Robinson is said to have left for America with the owner of the firm with wife Marian before Zimbabwe gained its independence from Britain. Some reports suggest that Marian, Michelle's mother wanted is a war veteran who participated in the war of liberation which was led by current Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe.

Now residents in UzumbaMarambaPfungwe, say Barack Obama should pay bride price (lobola) to them as their brother is now dead. Reports suggest that the First Lady never visited Zimbabwe in her teens but her father visited in 1989 before he passed away in 1991.

Villagers in the poverty stricken and drought prone district welcomed the reports and said they were expecting the MaObama to visit them.The elderly women said the fact that MaObama is peace loving and a philanthropist was not surprising as her granny, Gogo Magwere housed orphans of the liberation struggle.

The reports comes barely after reports which confirmed that he was born of a Kenyan father.Analyst say that the fact that the White House is being headed by Africans does not mean there is hope for the roots of the Obamas.

Some residents claimed that Michelle's father might not have told her that her roots are from Zimbabwe because if she knew she would have intervened in building social amenities in the area. Analyst suggested otherwise,they concurred that the fact that Michelle and Barack Obama have their navels seeded in Africa doesn't change the fact that they are American citizens who abide by the law of that nation and follow the rulebook when providing aid in Africa.

It remains to be seen if the American First Family will visit Zimbabwe and visit Uzumba Maramba Pfungwe (UMP) and shower them with some Obamas (US dollars' as they are called in rural Zimbabwe).

A sex offender repeatedly raped an 11-year-old schoolgirl in a park and then bragged he would show a video of the attack to her family and friends, a court heard today.
Opemipo Jaji, 18, is alleged to have followed the 11-year-old girl as she made her way home from school last November.
The girl told police in a video interview played to the court that the attack happened after she had got off a bus.
She said she was walking along a road in Enfield, north London, when a man dragged her into Jubilee Park and repeatedly raped her.
She said: 'He kept saying ‘Stop moving or I will stab you’.
'I tried to run away but then he grabbed me when
I got to the pavement of the park entrance.
'I kept on saying ‘stop’ because it was hurting me and he kept saying ‘shut up’ to me. He was just saying it every time I spoke.
'When I was on the floor, he said he would film me and send it into my school.
'I was saying ‘Get off me, get off me, stop’.”
The youngster was recorded a week after the attack which resulted in her undergoing an operation for an injury.
In the video, the youngster, who can not be identified, told police: ‘He said the reason he wanted to attack and have sex with me was because I didn’t have anything else like my phone - I didn’t have anything.’
She said the attacker had demanded her phone number as she left, but she lied and said she had forgotten it.
Jaji is then said to have told her: ‘If I were you I would go home and remember my phone number right now.’

I agree with what you said. I think that's how it should be done as well. The reason why, in my opinion, things are as they are in this section is because a lot of the offenders are repeat offenders. They're people who know the rules and violate them anyway. Then, when they're banned, they hurl insults or open threads in the general section about it.

This case of Sexkillz vs Nairaland is tiring. Everyone has something to say, but when theyre called out? Silence. In yesterday's thread, I asked anyone who felt they were wronged to bring evidence and no one could do it. As claims are easily thrown, they should also easily be backed. I've never heard of anyone being banned for writing "Ogugua". If so, we wouldn't see CFCfan until 2106 as he mentions my name with every breath he takes lol.

The mod of this section created a thread called Romance Section 2013, in hopes of this issue coming to an end. Obviously, it hasn't. No one is perfect and no one claims to be. However, the problem won't be solved until everyone does some e-personal evaluation lol. Sexkillz bans because people violate rules. People hate Sexkillz because he bans. It's a vicious circle that can't be cracked until everyone involved changes.[/size]

We all know that he is the mod but saying that he has got all the power to do whatever he likes looks like a pride.

As a mod or whatever you should be humble and explain to them why you have to delete their post but not to call them names even when they call you one.
