Christistruth00:
There were 4 Premiers of the region's (Akintola in the West, Sardauna in the North Osadebey in the Midwest and Okpara in the East) of the 4 Premiers 2 were Igbo speaking but only the non Igbo Speaking Premiers Akintola and Sardauna were Murdered in their houses by Igbo speaking Soldiers in an Army with an Igbo Chief of Staff Gen Ironsi

If it had happened in the West Gen Ironsi would have been Politely asked to resign

That was why Gen Ironsi didn't even announce the deaths of the Murdered Officers for months
These are serious allegations. Do you have corroborating evidence like an nterview with the Cyprus Prime Minister or anything indicating Ojukwu and Ironsi planned the coup and used Nzeowgu. Nothing of this was mentioned by Major Adewale Ademoyega; one of the 3 major planners in his book.

Ojukwu being at that location is probably after the fact; especially since you said it was AFTER the killing.
Any interview showing what Ademelegun's wife said?

Security is a community affair and technological /intelligence based ;even criminals know their limits.

Ademoyega in his book confirmed that the coup was supposed to take place later in the year but he found out from H.O. Davies that Sardauna, Balewa and Akintola were planning a very bloody crackdown on the Western Region and the Middle Belt. They then rushed their plans and staged it on January 15
Hmmm...ironic that the 2 coups carried out by mid level officers and revolutionary in nature were rushed and both failed! 1966 and 1990.

If the 1966 coup did not happen, the state of emergency and chaos in the west would have grown out of proportion to an insurgency.

Awolowo would have probably died in prison.
The eastern economy which was the fastest growing economy in the world as at then would have transformed the east to where south Korea's economy is today or something higher.

The sarduana would have continued his unbridled March to bury the Koran in the Atlantic.

Nigeria would have generally been a much better place and country.

Lessons learnt. Igbos should mind their business even when Nigeria is on fire ,mind your business.

Igbos repeated their mistakes in the end SARS protests and the revisionist almost made it an igbo sabotaging lagos economy but for the social media
Hmmm. Interesting perspective.

Originalsly:
Bro... don't be so quick to criticize the country of your birth.... .and discourage others from pushing ahead to achieve their dreams. Nothing in life comes easy in any country.
I learn a lot from the streets ... in a decent society.....and getting a book published is not that easy for someone without deep pockets. That person will go to a small publisher and publish a small amount of copies... maybe 300 or 500.... he will then go to street vendors who sell books or any such store and drop a few... in the meantime... walking the street ... going to street fairs...etc and pushing his work. When that is almost sold out... he goes back to the publisher for a reprint and so on. The bigger publishing houses go to the smaller publishers to know which books are doing great numbers. They review them and contact the author if they find it has great potential. They then sign a contract with the writer and almost always repackage the book.... change the cover.. the title etc. before releasing the book.

@ topic.... I don't see why he should criticize the rich guy.... the guy never turned him down. The guy told him to return another time because he was busy at that time. He never did return. Why to date he can't see he missed an opportunity?...how was he humiliated?... he's too full of himself. Mr Ego.
Yes, I don't agree with the rich man's angle too. That's another problem in Naija; the idea that people must help us. What if the rich man has his own problems (bank on his neck for 100 million loan for example) or what if he just didn't like the manuscript

But I still stand on my point that in more decent societies there is help. You can self publish a book anytime there and if you get a few good reviews on social media; you will make sales. Maybe not become a best selling author; but your journey to being an author can start immediately.
If you write nonsense of of course, then you are wasting your time.

Interesting write up. You have done well. Please don't forget that EVERYONE faces rejection and disappointment including the person for whom we are celebrating Christmas.
The Great problem with Nigeria is we don't have a proper structure; in more decent societies you would not have to go round begging to be published like that.
We hope to continue hearing about your success and please don't forget those who are still struggling in Nigeria that you can help lift up too.

You are correct!

However, there is a context in which General Ironsi was accused of staging a coup (after the first/main coup) with the acting president Nwafor Orizu while taking over the reigns of power:

Ironsi told us that” you either hand over as gentlemen or you hand-over by force”. Those were his words. Is that voluntary hand-over? So we did not hand over. We wanted an Acting Prime Minister to be in place but Ironsi forced us, and I use the word advisedly, to hand over to him. He was controlling the soldiers. The acting President, Nwafor Orizu, who did not cooperate with us, cooperated with the GOC. Dr. Orizu and the GOC prepared speeches which Nwafor Orizu broadcast handing over the government of the country to the army. I here state again categorically as a member of that cabinet that we did not hand-over voluntarily. It was a coup”.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.vanguardngr.com/2016/01/hand-over-or-took-over-power-2/amp/
You may be right. He definitely wasn't a part of the Nzeowgu coup and was himself a target; but by the end of the day on January 15th; he may have taken advantage of the situation whether for himself or the good of the country and forced a handover.

Aguiyi Ironsi organised the first military coup in Nigeria.

Entrance fee is 500 Naira, however, if you are planning to use your Digital camera, you will have to pay up to 20,000 to use it.

Source: https://www.travelwaka.com/fajuyi-memorial-park-a-beautiful-tourist-attraction-in-ekiti-state/
NO General Ironsin DID NOT organize the first military coup; he actually foiled it and was the reason the Nzeowgu boys did not establish government .
Major Ifejuna failed to arrest Ironsin and fled to Ghana.
ironically make Awolowo their Prime Minister. Captain Ude ( one of the plotters) was actually arrested in Calabar trying to free Chief Awolowo.
The foot soldiers used to make the coup successful in the North were all Northerners.
So whilst it was true, only Northern and Western military and civilian leaders were killed, Nzeowgu and Co were not tribalists. What Ibo tribalist risks his life to overthrow a government and makes a Yoruba man Prime Minister. ?
They were socialist leaning with great ideas , but poor execution.

Wooow! So, most of the English alphabets were taken from Jewish age-long alphabets? I could see most of the English alphabets in the write up. They stole part of Jewish alphabets and merged it with Greek's to form their alphabet. Brtons don dey steal people's ideas and heritage no be now.

Pabambari, they abandoned their numerals and adopted Arabic figures which are in use widely today because its better and less voluminous.

That reminds me, where are those foolish boko haram terrorists saying western education is a sin? Someone should remind them that the Arabic numerals of 1, 2, 3, 4,...in use today weren't part of western education but adopted by the western world. What a wrong teaching and belief they've got.
That inscription was from the 1100s (900 years ago) when the site was occupied by Europeans.

Yes...

Foreign herdsmen are not under the leadership of miyetti Allah...

The problem is that when foreign herdsmen strike... The locals attack local herdsmen.

And when they attack local Herdsman another circle of attack continues.
No sir,.the problem is we lack order in Nigeria. The lack of order is seen in a society with no consequences whether reward for doing good or punishment for doing bad.

In a normal decent society you get arrested for killing a human being and jailed or executed. Doesn't matter if the victim made you angry, stole your cow or even killed your friend. This is 2020, not 1654.

Secondly in a normal decent society, foreigners don't move about anyhow and commit crime with impunity, even if they look like and speak like the locals.
A Canadian or British man in the USA is easily identifiable even though they look like and speak same language as the locals. Why? Because it is an organized society, with borders and records.

The Governor did wrong. But I can't blame him, lawlessness has been rampant in Nigeria for decades.
People are threatening to kill human beings because their cows were killed and instead of arresting them and charging them with making threats (punishable by up to 10 years in jail ) and arresting those who killed the cows also if there is cause to; he is begging them and giving them moneyhuh?? What nonsense. Only in Nigeria!
SportsRe: Are Non-african Professional Footballers Really Innocent Of Age Fraud? by babzo(m):
Difficult to do age cheat in the West. The day you are born, multiple records of your birth are made to different government establishments.
E.g. in the US, your local government school district will start hinting your family when it's time for primary school etc, how did they know your age? It's been sent every where.
At what point would a person start lying then?
When you are 23 and what to pretend you are 13? With all the record keeping, etc.
Every school in the West also has class photographs every year. If you are 13 in the equivalent of JS2 or 3; at 24 you want to claim JS2 again?
Age sports in the West is also by school. Infact all the sports in the West are by school. To get into the NFL ( National Football League), you must have gone to University, infact I think even to get into Major League Soccer.

Every American has a Social Security Number with your date of birth; it can't be changed. I believe similar in Europe.

The difference is diet. Check a 14 year old in America or England who was born there and if he has cousins that are same age in Ghana or Nigeria.
If our kids eat balanced diet, we can have 16 year old too who are developed.
Eating a bowl of eba with 1 meat at night won't make you develop well.
