Bunch of jokers. Nigeria really spoilt her people silly with subsidies; so much they are tuned out of reality.

It's only in Nigeria that people wants all the solid infrastructures and the goodies that comes with it without paying a dime. Even tax, most don't pay. Before the fuel subsidy was removed, most were moving about with the faux reality that they are rich and earning enough. The removal shattered that reality completely. And na them dey say rubbish the previous years about the government not doing anything for them.

Fuel and dollar subsidy was removed everyone started crying.

Without toll, how do people expect the project to come to reality? The funniest thing is that most people championing this narrative have traveled outside the country and seen how infrastructure work in "sane climes".

Another issue is illiteracy. Many don't even understand the project, its importance, and what it stands to offer us all regard savings on travelling expenses, economic boost, and repping the nation on the global stage.

The costal highway will reduce the travel time from Lagos to Ilaje, Ondo State to just 45 minutes (that's just for one out of the many lanes that will cut across the South West, South East, and South South). Anyone who thinks the #3k toll gate is too expensive should use the alternative routes. It's that simple. Moreover, the minister Umahi said the 3k is just the average, meaning small vehicles could pay like 1.5k and heavy duty trucks pay 5k. So wtf is the buzz all about?

After a long and fruitful weekend, I decided to chill small with roadside roasted chicken. Got to the place and the Mallam said it's 3k. Interpretation of Supreme Court judgment on Double nomination by Amaechi Ekwe, Esq:

1. Double nomination falls under Non- qualification of a candidate under section 134 (a) of Electoral Act, 2022 and, is also one of the grounds you can challenge an election through Election Petition.

2. Non qualification or double nomination of a candidate can be challenged by a person within the Party that nominated the candidate and also a person who is from another politcal party or another politcal party itself.

3. Double nomination can be challenged before or after Election ( if it is before Election, we call it "pre Election matter" and if it after the Election we call it "post Election matter".

4. If you are challenging double nomination or non-qualification of a candidate before the election (Pre Election matter) then, you have to be a member of the politcal party that nominated the candidate you are challenging. An external person cannot challenge it before the election because it is at that time an internal affair of the party that nominated him.

5. But if it is after Election, any other candidate from another politcal party or another politcal party itself can now challenge it through Election Petition under non- qualification. At this time, it is called non- qualification of such candidate. You incorporate it in your Election Petition. That is what LP did.

Shettima's non- qualification will still be raised again in the Supreme Court by Peter Obi and Supreme will still have to determine it again in Peter Obi's Petition. Shettima has not gone scot free. The double nomination will still rear its ugly head again.

The supreme court Judgement did not rule out the double nomination, infact the double nomination is real but just that the PDP acted as meddlesome Interloper and a busy body as it is an internal affair of the APC .
