Every country should bar Nigeria men below 45yrs -25 from traveling to their countries. Until Nigeria and Nigeria parents stops breeding nonsense as children before any reasonable country can allow them.

Other countries are exporting valuables out, Nigerians are exporting cultism. Rubbish

lol, don't deflect, I thought it was going to be a blitzkrieg military operation within few days in favour of Russia, but the war is still raging seven months after with Ukraine doing the counteroffensive now

Russia isn't a world power, it is just a regional power and it is gradually losing that status.

I'm also surprised here, some nigerians that often complain about western imperialism and colonialism are now supporting this madman and his invasion
Just saying

Don't request for an atm for your main savings account

Have at least 2 accounts. Transfer small money you wish to spend from your main savings to your spending account which can have an ATM

Also you can adjust your maximum daily limit
That's just the truth

Stop using the word impossible when it comes to IT. It's very possible for an app to have compromised and vulnerable backends without the owners even knowing.

Also, if he said he heard automated voice system calling out numbers, then I guess someone has found a way to access your messages through phone call. That's some serious security risk.
It doesn't work like that

Shey you see the average mentality of a Nigerian? Outsmart them and not pay.
Recently because of the uncertainty with our economy and fluctuations of the naira, I decided to open a UK account. I tell you it is hard for a Nigerian to do so. Infact an Indian ex banker lady, a gf to my friend told me when you put a Nigeria name in the system, it show red ie high risk! Meaning they should show caution.
I asked the reason, and was told Nigerians are "likely" fraudulent! They take overdrafts accessible to others and and don't pay or steal people's identities to take credit.
Do you know that Barclay's offered me 3,500 pounds overdraft as a new account holder, but I could not successfully open the account at the last stage cos of long story of trying to verify my identity through asking for council tax as proof of address! Why, "smart" Nigerians have messed up our reputations. We are looked at as shaddy characters by default.
Anyway, hope we will learn to do things the right way.
We no dey think long term.
That's always the problem

Because of how much this thread has trended, I'll drop one sure route of how to live in any eu countries as a family without hassle permanently. This route works well with a couple.

Instead of paying millions upon millions to go study in the UK without assurance of permanently stay, apply to study in Portugal instead. Then you and your wife would be giving student visa and any child born in portugal becomes Portuguese citizen at birth if the parents have lived in Portugal for at least one year.

And as the parent of a Portuguese child (also an eu citizen), you can move and live in any country in the eu with your child. It's not a privilege, its a right. It's far far cheaper to study in lots of countries. Why do people kill themselves with the UK?

Especially that the UK in practice drafted cunning laws to kick you out when you're done studying. Please operate an independent mind when travelling. Don't just follow others. Search each countries nationality law, see what it takes to be a citizen and fashion your plan towards that. Survival journey is not for the reckless.

I know someone whom I adviced five years ago that went through this route, and now is chilling and living large in Ireland, without the hassle of visa and all the harsh rules associated with it. As a parent of an eu citizens, you're basically a citizen yourself in practice just that you can apply for citizenship in maybe five years time.

If you also want to study, then take your eu child to any Scandinavian countries, where education is free. Establish your residence there and study foe free, live without fear of immigration and a straight pathway to citizenship. God touch my mind today normally I don't give this kind of information.
Very sound advise

TravelRe: It Is Impossible To Save $30 (₦9,540) Daily In Canada by Backpedal: 12:50am On Oct 02, 2022
naijaboy99:
Good afternoon folks! The purpose of writing this trend is not to discourage Nigerians from traveling but to reveal some interesting facts that might shock Nigerians in regards to staying back in Nigeria. The Nigerian dream is not dead like most of us would think or argue. Opportunities abound here like in every society. Financial success is what most folks dream of both in Nigeria and western societies.

I am using Canada and America as a case study because that is where most Nigerians love to migrate to. It will surprise most folks reading this trend that 85% of Nigerian immigrants living in those countries are unable to save $30 daily. What is more surprising is that $30 in the US. when converted to the naira is between ₦ 12,900 (official bank rate) or ₦20,850 (Black market rate) then for Canada ₦9,540 (Bank rate) or ₦14,2200 (Black market rate)

I have noticed majority of Nairalanders are either job seekers or those with jobs earning between ₦50,000 to ₦200,000 monthly. To them the amount I quoted is very high and enough reason to Japa (the current trend) but for those who have hand work or into businesses, it will come as a shock to many of them.. A bolt driver, if we have any one here can help us confirm, is capable to making ₦15,000 daily after all expenses when you drive with your own car. Most 10 passenger yellow buses drivers make over ₦20,000 daily. The average daily profit for an average booming business in Nigeria currently is over ₦35,000 daily. Please note the word average. I know we can all agree that people who sell plumbing materials, cement, electrical gadgets, furniture, rods, chemist stores, truck drivers, woods, pipes, flour, bag of rice etc can easily make over ₦20,000 in profit daily.

I will say again that the purpose of this post is not to discourage anyone or look down on people living abroad, but to open our eyes to the fact that Nigeria is not bad as we might think. The problem is that most Nigerians don't believe in this country. No matter how much they make they always feel there is somewhere else better till they get there and find out the real truth.

Nigerians in diaspora can join the conversation and let us know if it is possible to make the amount stated ($30daily). Then Nigerians down here who are engaged in the kind of work I listed can also come and tell us their experience. God bless Nigeria and her citizens!
Three things

1) There is no such thing as the "Nigerian Dream"

2) Most Nigerians IN Nigeria are doomed to a life of penury and suffering; based on the structure of that country. That small room for the "well off" is very competitive to get into

3) The opportunities in Nigeria are not meant for most Nigerians by design.
Case In point : The highest paid CEOs in Nigeria are foreigners

Foreigners get the goodies that MOST Nigerians can only dream of

Goodmorning!! Two sets of folks I try to avoid on here:
The Abroad is Hell, dont come!
The Why are people running ?? Nigeria is better!
For some reason, I dont get the objective still... sometimes I see it as comic relief but fairly recently it has started to become a worrying trend...
If Nigeria was doing good, Nobody will LEAVE or atleast only a few people will push to leave... a person earning minimum wage CANNOT rent a comfortable place ..
Most of the folks that keep pushing the narrative of Nigeria is better than abroad na "mommy thank you " personnels.
If you have a good job in Naija and want to stay that's fine and good but the situation is not the reality of those abroad.
For me and my house, NEVER AGAIN!
NEVER will be family queue up in an Embassy in a bid to get a visa to travel ANYWHERE while getting rudely talked to by embassy officials and security guards on money wey we dey pay just so we can visit their country for visit or anywise..
Never again , are we living in a "Father land" that discriminates against us in our own country and gives preference to Foreigners
Never again are we going to rejoice at the Government for giving us the very basics like Electricity, good road and transportation network.
Omo, story plenty..
I feel you.
