Well well well. First of all, it is not good to generalize about people's character because everyone is unique. Not every igbo man is like that and the character he is exhibiting is not peculiar to igbos. I don't why your husband is acting like that and off course we don't know your full relationship history. Here is the thing though, unlike the western world, African society is a patriarch society. Men rule. The man / husband usually gives orders, oversees the affairs of the family and run the family as he deems fit. From what you wrote here though, you both have lived together for a long time. Maybe he has a wife in Nigeria, maybe his father or mother is sick or maybe he is tired of your relationship.. I dont know. I will suggest you talk to him about how you feel and find out if there is a problem, find out how he feels about your relationship. You know have soul to soul conversation with your husband. A good husband regardless of his race, tribe or nationality should care for the wife's feeling and make sure she is happy. Cheers!! |
He might be right. That's quite wrong, the issue is that, he is perceived to be an aggressive player and will easily get a yellow card if he breathes heavily on a player. Just like Andreas Herrera always goes down easily if you stare at him. It is usually a bit hard for him to win free kick. |
Neither. A good coach is a people's person. Ronaldo could be arrogant with a me me lifestyle. He wants all the attention for himself and could be a damsel at times. Messi on the other hand looks like an 8-5 kind of guy, comes to work do his 8 hrs and go home. He doesn't look like he is interested in office politics or anything of that sort and isn't ready to beg or please anyone. Just come to work, do his share and go home. They are both good players but neither of them shows leadership ability on the pitch. I think Sergio Ramos and Iniesta will be a good coaches especially Ramos. |

Naijabin:You are very welcome My Oga. Please please do use my last advice about not strangling your business to buy land. Again, I don't know about real estate up North because I am from the East. Here is how re al estate usually works. They tell you land is say, N1m, you negotiate 750 and the seller accepts 850k.that's not the only expenses. You still have to pay agent fee which could be between 5-10 percent of 850k. Then you find a lawyer to write the agreement, might charge you 5-10 % the cost of the land or 10-15k. Then survey the land, surveyors usually charge 50-70k. Remember this figure might be more or less. They are the figures I have paid myself so it might be the same or high or low depending on the area. So, You might decide to secure the land with fence, fencing costs approximately N1m. As soon as you start fencing, the villagers will come for development levy, money for youth, fencing levy, transformer levy, fencing permit and all. You have seen all these charges that was never brought up to your attention (agent fee, lawyer, surveyor etc). Say if you use all your money say, N1m to buy a land of 850k, you will end up emptying your pocket, this will stress you out and it have a potential of affecting your business. Before buying, always do the maths very well to make sure you have enough money for those expenses and also you still have money left to run your business because you don't want to strangle the source of your income. Cheers!! |
On thing i like about this man is he is always the king or a rich father with stubborn son/daughter in his movies, he never acts as a poor man ![]() |
Naijabin:Well, I don't know how much a shop by the roadside will cost you and how much you need to invest in studio equipment. Check on that say shop and equipment will cost 500k( just guessing) then you still have 500k in your war chest for the land. 50-80k per month is a healthy income in this era, keep up your efforts. And I imagine if you invest in your business, your income might tilt to the right a bit say 100k? ( I am just guessing, I don't know the photography industry). Then few months later you could buy a plot of land at your desired location and gradually build it up. One advise though, do not clean out your closet (use all your cash) to buy the land. While it is a good investment, you don't want to strangle your business, you need to have operating cash say 50k -100k just in case your business needs it. Cheers!! |
Naijabin:I don't know the North very well but here are criterias i will consider before making a decision. 1. How much is a plot of land in the area you prefer to buy land. 2. Will you be comfortable having a studio in your home? 3. How much is your monthly income? 4. Will having a studio significantly boost your business? Then 5 Depending on your answers on above you could; a) buy a plot of land, if change will remain, build a small house for your studio on the land and when money come, build the main house. Or you could go all in in your business and when more money come in you can buy a plot of land. Cheers!! |

kenpope:My Oga, have a question for you, how big is your plot of land in sq. Meters? Also, do you mind sharing the 3d picture of the proposed buildings. Thank you sir. |

BeeBeeOoh:You have forgotten this is 9ja. Some one can have army or police bundle another person up and throw them in jail because they had misunderstandings. |
spyder880:Let me start from the second picture: Yes, You are right.. The orange color is screaming, it doesn't look good, frankly in my view it reduces the beauty of the house. The house was more beautiful without that orange color. Also remember orange is too bright even when used inside of the house, using it outside of the house where it is exposed to sunlight is a no no. It is different though if you own a business like GTB and you want to draw people's attention, but this is personal house i reckon. Back to the first. Again, I agree with you.. The blue color is no good, it throws everything off. On a personal level, I have always favored painting inside of a personal house with milk color. My personal house is milk color for the whole house ( rooms, living room kitchen etc) I think it makes the house looks neat and can blend with any tile or furniture your heart desires. My opinion!! |
This is exactly what is wrong in this country. People take care of themselves and care less of the country. One Nigeria my àss.
