LeonOgu:Do you have pictures of the estate? |
LeonOgu:For the lands in Asaba, what's the exact location of the land? Also what's the land size? |
RIP to the boy. This accident highlights the importance of wearing seat belts. All passengers in a car should wear seat belts.. Please!!! Stay Blessed |
EgunMogaji:$25 for the pump? Where they sell that at, LOWES or Home Depot? Do you have pictures of what they look like so i can check it out in the store |
EgunMogaji:Do you have any idea of how much the solar system + pressure pump will cost? Like you, those high tank stand scares me. |
What's the point of this? |
Waste of resources. He could have used the 640million to beef up police. This will go along way in training and procurement of equipment for the police force. Capturing or killing the cult leader does not stop their boys from operating. Also, if police is beefed up.. Companies will not have to pay insurance premium to these thugs. |
kimbraa:Sometimes this kind of quicky marriage do work. Back in the old days, some women didn't even see their husband until the day their bride price was paid. Not saying that's ideal but it happened. |
byna:It could be from how she lays her head. Try changing the location of the pillow or tell her to adjust her sleeping posture. You could also invest in nose strips. Also have a candid conversation with your wife not like You are yabbing her but let her know how you feel and the solutions that you have. Work it out together. She probably does not know and might even give you an idea on why she is snoring. Again don't hurt her feelings but have a soul to soul conversation with your wife. Assure her that you will work with her to find solution to the issue. Good luck. |

What about the driver? |
Starting off new years strong with a plan to build. Congrats. I will suggest contacting some Nairalander architects that were nice enough to provide free sketch for your building projects. That will be the easiest way for you to get more positive response and to plan probably for your projects. Otherwise you will get quotes from 10m to 50m ( did you notice the difference?). So contact this Nairalanders, hopefully i can still remember their monikers. Segzy14 Ihebrooke Stancyg Alist Etc. Good luck. |

alist:My Oga, this is 2 buildings on a 100x100 plot of land? Could you show us the satellite view.. |
I feel your pain my guy. I am scared of flying too, I prefer driving. I drove from Waukegan, IL to D.C instead of flying back in August. But I still fly to other countries though but I don't attempt sitting on a plane for more than 6 hrs. I will suggest trying to find flights to Manilla that have lots of stopovers. I think manilla is 21-35 hours from U.S. What i do is, I travel with my headphone and MP3, ( I don't use my phone because my battery will die ). I listen to music all the way and fall a sleep in between. Some people do take anxiety pills too. I have never tried it. I try listening to music. The scariest part for me is the take off and for some destinations the pilot will make a U turn shortly after lifting off the runway before climbing to the correct altitude but you will be fine. I am not trying to scare you. Just to let you know what to expect.Things we do for love ![]() Good luck. |

ImperialYoruba:Assuming that you are correct that EFCC invitation is discretionary. If EFCC did invite an individual for questioning and arrest another individual without invitation. Provided that those different individual are well known and are subject to EFCC's investigation, then that's an abuse of discretion. If EFCC have reason to believe that Mr. Innoson committed those crimes he is accused with, why don't they prosecute him? Take the case to trial and then lock him up if he his guilty. They didn't have to partake in a barbaric act, show of force. In a civilized world, The slap incident involving Mrs. Innoson is enough sue EFCC For battery, assault, she can even throw in sexual assualt and have EFCC lawyer themselves out if that one . All while claiming $50m in punitive damages. |
My Ogas una Happy New year oo. I have been following this thread and learning new stuffs in building Construction. I have learnt so much that I think now qualifies me as a " builder" Lot's of questions circling in my head, I am able to see the answers on this thread. I got a question though, why do people paint their houses like this( picture below). Some people even paint both interior and exterior of their house in this rough looking format. I visited a friend years ago and the painting brushed my arm. I am still nursing the injury till date(joke). Bt seriously though, what is the reasoning behind painting houses like that why can't people paint houses to be smooth instead of looking rough.

The president should have made it simple. Treat every individual gun shot wound, women in a Labour, little kid that broken his ankle playing street soccer, accidents victims.. Then ask for payment later. It is a shame that as a country as Nigeria is, an accident victim will be brought to the hospital and hospital will have the guts to ask for deposit and to purchase card for emergency while the patient is dying. Also while they are at it, they should revolutionize the health sector. No more one flat and one room hospitals. Those shouldn't even qualify as a clinic talk more of a hospital ![]() |
EgunMogaji:Ha, here we go again.. I have never put much thought into the water pressure regulator. Here in the midwest, ours is in the basement. I have always seen it as plumbing stuff but never really connected the dots.. Well i didn't know the dots were there in the first place. although I am a novice in building construction but that high water tank is just an eyesore and very unsafe and I knew there is a solution to it , more efficient and less dangerous ways to still achieve the in-house water pressure but maybe people are not aware of it. Thanks again my Oga. I stayed in San Bernadino for a little while years ago. Beautifull place, nice weather but very expensive. |
EgunMogaji:Thank you my Oga for your response. I live in the U.S but I never knew those tall structures are water tanks . I have a project that God's willing will break ground this 2018 and I am very hesitant on mounting those high water tanks. 47ft above ground |
eunisam:Or tell us the scores for all the matches in premier league so boys can hammer bet9ja.. ![]() |
megacontrol:I totally agree with you. We all know Nigeria is sort of like a lawless state but in Onitsha especially it is very disgraceful. When you go to some areas and see how their buildings are.. No space at all. Areas like Awada Obosi, you will see a 6 storey building on a 50x100 plot of land. The stair case very tiny. No parking space at all, people have to park their cars by the road side. As far as building approvals go, I was told, " this is rental property, just do whatever they tell you in the office and get your approval then you can go out build whatever you want, the govt just want to cover themselves". This came from an official in the Ministry of urban development. The ministry never visits sites to make sure people are following the building plan. The PLACE that i know that does visit sites is F.C.T. As far as Onitsha goes, the tenants don't really care, they just want a house close to their shops, church and school. Lot's of things that happen in Onitsha can never happen in nearby Asaba. Prospective Tenants will give you an earfull. |

skimanski:Thank you for your response. But I am not sure I understand what you mean by " the stronger the water pressure inside the house". The reason why i am asking is that, some of this water tanks looks ridiculously high and looks dangeeous too. I was wondering in the western world where there is no over head tank but tenants still access water in their apartments. Isn't there a way to reduce the height of the water tanks and still access water in the apartments. If the height of the water tank stand is reduced say to 10ft above ground. Would it pose a problem? Thanks again. |
skimanski:Quick question for you, is there any reason why water tanks are built this high? |
nifemiayoade:My Oga Sir, I think you might be derailing your own thread here. You started off nicely, Many people are looking forward for your updates on the 4 bedroom duplex with 2 units of 2 bedroom. Pictures and all. While your other designs and hand work are all beautiful. I will suggest in the interest of coherence and so you don't loose the attention of online viewers that you open a separate thread show casing your designs and leave this thread solely for the update on this project. Nice 3d design by the way. Looking forward for more updates. Cheers!! |
peacefull:Oh no no, I am not upset. I was just short of words. My suggestion will still be to talk to your husband about how you feel. It is not a bad thing for a wife to ask the husband a question or have a conversation with him about her feelings. I hope everything works out well for you and you will continue to be happy in your marriage. Goodluck!! |
