yemi1504: Good to see that Man United went into the break with a 1-0 lead. They should try getting the second before Arsenal get themselves. Also, on rising matters, the way Eriksen is being barged off the ball easily (see Brentford and the disallowed goal today), shows he needs to be probably be replaced in the starting lineup as the league has probably become too physical for him. My solution in January - Savic or Tielemans, they are creative enough and won't be barged off the ball easily as our dude is. Erikson is a fine player but yes d league have become physical. He did put in a good shift tho. I hope they sub him for casemiro |

Ofcourse records was mearnt to be broken, he has insane UCL goals&assist records, It will only take a longer time to break his records, that's exactly what he wants. Nah nah, once Manutd or Bayern Munich signs me, those records will be broken quicker than you think. I might even end up going to Real Madrid, I love Spain. |

He just want to protect his UCL goals stats cos Leo Messi is closer to the mark, that's why he needs CL club to extend the lead. Well, he can't have it all. Whether he likes it or not, soon and very soon either he retire on his own or nature will retire him but UCL will still continue. What happens if another player (not messi) beats his record, would he unretire and start shopping for champions league club to play first team? |
Sports › Re: Transfer Deadline Day: Ten Hag Includes Ronaldo In Game Against Leicester by Badgers14: 7:11pm On Sep 01, 2022 |
Ronaldo is just making a mockery of himself, he could have quietly gone to Sporting at th4 beginning of the season, give them one more season as a thank you and then retire. He will be 38 next year and he has won everything on club level.
I don't understand the shopping around for champions league club when he has won the tournament for 4 or 5 times?
He is now being rejected left and right, what a shameful way for him to bow out of the sports, I pray for him he doesn't get any Injury in today's game that would take him out 3 to 6 months.. that happens and his career is over. |
Family › Re: My Younger Brother Wants To Finance My Wedding. by Badgers14: 6:40pm On Sep 01, 2022 |
EcoLaw: Good evening Nairalanders, a friend of mine came to me for an advise.
My friend is in his late 30s, he has been in a relationship with his woman, they have been together for a period of 8 years, and they have 2 kids together.
This my friend has a younger brother, the younger brother told him that they should go and collect traditional marriage list from his woman family, so that traditional marriage can take place by December.
My friend worry is that, one, he is not financially capable to do traditional marriage rite as of now and secondly, he doesn't have a good paying job now.
Another of his worry is that, he feels it shameful for his younger brother to sponsor his wedding, he is afraid won't he be insulted in the future by people, that he can't not pay his wife bride price, that it was somebody that married his wife for him. His brother told him not to worry about the financial responsibilities, that God will take control.
My advice for him was that he should tell his brother to give him the money to go start a business, maybe when the business balances, he can go and do the marriage rite. But his brother told him that the lady has tired for waiting for 8 years, that they should do the traditional marriage first, every other thing shall fall in place. This his brother has been supportive to him.
Nairalanders please what's you take on this? Good advice from you to your friend. The only thing I would change would be, before collecting anything from his brother, let him go and collect list first. Then use small money of his own to do few things on the list primarily the bride price. Then collect money from his brother to either start business and come back later to finish the rest or use the money to finish the list away, his choice. But for me, I will start business fess. Whatever decision he takes, he need to make sure he paid his wife's bride price with his own money. E get why |

Do you know that Nigerians in diaspora send more money to Nigeria every year than the national budget ? Look it up. Later in the year Peter Obi will stand two feet in Nigeria until the election. |

I wish Peter Obi all the best and I hope and pray he wins.
But in reality , for Nigeria to be fixed, everyone have to do their part.
Buhari is bad buhari is bad, Nigeria wouldn't have gotten this bad if the senators, house of rep members, governors , state senators , local government chairmen and councilors were doing their part. Plus staffs at various government offices.
How many of us even know who our councilor is, our local government chairmen? What project have our senator or house of rep members completed with in their respective senatorial zones with the allocation given to them?
If Buhari is bad and was going overboard, what did the senators and house of rep members do to stop him or to correct him?
Which ministry used N18bn to clear bushes? Why didn't they that support open grazen send fulani herdsmen there so there cattle would eat the grasses?
See how they are looting NDDC even though we have minister for petroleum, NDDC commission, minister of Niger delta.. look how undeveloped SS is in relation to how much money is coming from there and their government have access to, the person that was been probed to given an account, fainted during interview and that was the end of the probe?
Have you built a house or shop in Nigeria? Look at the burecracy and money involved both official and unofficial just to get the building plan approved?
Have you cleared your goods at the ports? Same thing. |

24 years after Abacha died, he is still spitting out money for Nigeria.
The sad thing is the all the money recovered are relooted again by politicians.
There have been no tangible project completed with all the Abacha loot that was recovered.
I will rather have U.S hold on to this money until after election next year.. then the next president whoever it is will have some money to work with.
When this money is returned because the current government is on a lame duck, they will just line up there pockets |
