They are just trying to save one of their own ![]() But frankly, Ekweremadu's case is a diplomatic headache for UK, not only diplomatic headache, if the case isn't handled correctly it could taint the image of UK and could cause an uncomfortable anti social in UK as well. Some People would view this case from the lens of "Rich against poor" indeed Ekweremmadu occupies a top position that could have made the life of David better. There's no normal, have a job 21 year old that would be willing to part with their kidney for someone not related to them. But Because of inability of the govt which Ekweremmadu occupied a very important position to provide infrastructures and amenities to help the poor to get a toe hold on the social ladder, David "allegedly " was willing to sell his kidney to survive. So some people will look at the case from this lens, Rich using the poor at will.. poor man die, Rich man lives.. Rich keeps getting richer and living longer at the expense of poor masses and Ekweremmadu happens to be a high ranking politician as well. Also on the social impact on this case, depending on how it was handled the outcome.. many people with similar criminal case will be running to the court to overturn their convictions or reduce sentence or acquit them .. this is a criminal lawyers bread and butter but this does damage a country's legal system. On the diplomatic side, UK doesn't want to be a safe haven for anyone to feel comfortable to commit a crime in no matter their diplomatic status , they don't want to be safe haven for anyone to come in to finalize any criminal intent or criminal action or activities so they are threading very carefully.. Also, regardless of the outcome of the case, UK might not have any option than to offer asylum to the David guy understanding how powerful Ekweremmadu is in Nigeria politics and how even his own state government of Ebonyi state are leaning on support for Ekweremmadu.. they might not have a choice to offer him an asylum and if his family receives threats, they might offer them asylum as well. Since Ekweremmadu is a politician many people don't even want to hear the details of the case, they want him to stay in jail for life ![]() |

aribisala0:FFK don chop and clean mouth for ground.. As usual, they have given him something and he is singing like a bird. He thinks he is helping Ekweremmadu, but he is even sabotaging his case. Frankly, assuming that Ekweremmadu played the boy and his family tape on the deal (pending for sure if paying an organ donor is legal in U.K, it is illegal in the U.S) folks are hugely upset that Ekweremmadu didn't do much in anything to Improve the infrastructure here in Nigeria. He has occupied juicy positions in the senate , he has been in the corridors of power since 1999 but look at our infrastructures here in Nigeria. His kids schooled abroad while ASUU since when? It is hard to see anyone that graduated from a Nigerian public university that didn't experience some sort of strike. Folks are just angry , upset about the neglect of the common man by the politicians while masses are suffering, they are enjoying, using the common man as a sacrificial lamb so there own family can live and enjoy the good life. |
rotecch77:Attention to detail!! That's a great testimony of your work ethics. Some folks will start with arguments first... and still do jaga jaga work at the end. Keep up the good work! |

DOTian:I wanted to think like this but I stopped for minute.. For a person of Ekweremadu's calibre.. I would like to imagine he has common sense. Didn't his family test the boy at a hospital here in Nigeria to determine compatibility before spending the amount to sponsor him abroad for the actual donation?? But again I thought about another thing, since the politicians don't invest in infrastructure here in the motherland Nigeria. They don't give a rat as§ about the basic infrastructures of the common man, so Ekweremadus family probably didn't trust the analysis of a Nigerian hospital and that's why they didn't do the tests here first to determine compatibility. So shame on him.. former deputy senate president of the federal republic of Nigeria.. he is been in Abuja since 1999 But I still think they determined compatibility before the travel, the boy just got cold feet. I have not donated any organ before but I have donated blood. They usually counsel you prior to the donation.. they give you paperwork to sign, they explain everything to you etc.. frankly speaking even to donate blood sef, after counseling and see the paperwork sometimes I feel like I no wan do again but again, it is something for the greater good. Some people donate one time and they don't do it again ![]() I think it was at the moment that the boy said nah nah.. he is not doing again. Even though the success rate for a kidney transplant is high even in Nigerian hospitals but again, nothing is guaranteed. Things happen, someone could still loose their life even if the transplant is done at Mayo Clinic or John Hopkins or Cleveland clinic. So, me thinks the boy got cold feet and said he no do again. |
Some People are more evil than the devil.. ![]() I pray for God to intervene and help this poor child. |
Dis wan na vawulence pro max. Pray for his daughter and again pray for justice to be done.. ![]() |
sunnymighty:Same question I ask. But I guess, his PR might be working the press. I do find it hard to believe that Ekweremadu and his family didn't investigate at a hospital here in Nigeria before traveling.. Most likely as soon as the guy japa the country.. he developed cold feet.. and didn't want to do again. |
Judeerons32:In as much as I detest all the polithiefianz not giving a flying fùcvk on the citizens. You might be correct.. remember Aaliyah and R. Kelly. Although the senator put this in writing, did his family tell the boy and his family? We have seen where someone says one thing verbally and puts something else in writing. Maybe the one he put in writing was to cover himself, and they told the boy and his family something different. It could be also that the family was aware but they have a change of heart and the boy had a cold feet. But anyhow for all the bad governance all this politicians institute on the masses.. make shame catch Ekweremadu and his family small.. make him Sidon for jail for a hot minute..make people laugh am small. E remain shaky shaky daddy to enter U.S so we go see if truly na him get that docket for Chicago. ![]() |

I don't support APC nor do I support Tinubu. But you see this Yobe nonsense APC is doing.. it is going to hurt them big time because people that are already fed up with 8 years of suffering and are yearning for change are witnessing a broad day light robbery. Do they think people would really vote for them after this fiasco? Lawan is a veteran politician that was outsmarted. Not sure what his deal was, if he really thought he would win APC presidential ticket in the presence of the current VP and BAT, Amaechi etc? APC is just making mockery of the electoral process. |
Iceberg3:You are very correct. What is the need for election then? All of us should declare ourselves president and move to Aso Rock. Nonsense people..smh |
