Politics / Seyi Makinde Said Pdp In Oyo State Is From Top To Bottom by bamitinn(m): 5:24pm On Nov 06, 2022 |
Dear OluwaBamise, What a week it has been! How are you doing? I am doing great and preparing seriously for my campaigns, laying all the necessary groundwork to make our outing successful. Earlier today, I presented our 2023 budget at the Oyo State Assembly. The N310 billion Budget of Sustainable Development will serve as a transition budget. As I said during my presentation, I am speaking into existence that we will be back after the inauguration of the tenth assembly to make another presentation and continue with the work of engineering a new Oyo State. For now, we will continue working to ensure that we deliver the next elections for all candidates of the PDP in Oyo State. From what I have read, so many people are jumping the gun and trying to force decisions that we are still a long way from making. The task before us now is to strategise to ensure that in Oyo State, it is the PDP from top to bottom, which is what everyone who cares about good governance in Oyo State should be interested in. The gospel is Omituntun 2.0. Let us all work to actualise this for the benefit of the good people of Oyo State. In the coming weeks, I will share with you the role you can play to actualise Omituntun 2.0. Perhaps something you can easily do is join one of our volunteer groups where you can either work online or engage in door-to-door canvassing. Before I go, let me introduce my book of the month. It is a book about a Nigerian who rose through the ranks to become President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), Dr Akinwumi Adesina. The book is titled ‘Against All Odds’. It is an authorised biography by Leon Hesser. I think I am going to enjoy reading this book. More so, I know Dr Adesina, and I believe he is one of Nigeria’s brightest shining stars on the international scene. I hope you read along with me as we learn how he went from living in poverty to fighting poverty through agriculture. I am sure we will have a whole lot to learn from him. Talk to you again soon.
