PoliticsPolitical Wing Of NRA In Africa by banku(op): 2:23pm On May 29, 2022
Some countries intentionally encourage the culture of violence to suppress their ethnic or political opponents and blame their victims. We see this in many African countries, some European and American states. In Africa, wherever you have a minority Fulani, they want to dominate the majority in the country. They share a culture of violence that is similar to the National Rifle Association in the United States. They share the Paranoia that if they do not dominate the Government and fellow citizens, the Government will take their weapons away. Most mass murderers are failures attracted and recruited by those who blame their shortcoming on others. They recruit failures and give them a sense of belonging as gang members.

Stigmatization of mental patients in most communities discouraged some of them from seeking treatment. It is not productive to tag them with mass murder knowing they do not have as much access to weapons as those well hidden at home and fraternities encouraging violence. Indeed, it is seen as an effort to give criminals a soft landing after committing horrendous crimes in support of an agenda. This type of reasoning demonizes all mental patients, most of whom are not even violent. Most countries have closed inpatient Psychiatric Hospitals, pushing out violent mental patients, increasing cost to local communities.

Osinbajo Ridiculed United Looters Of Nigeria At Harvard by banku: 8:45pm On Oct 30, 2016

https://www.thenigerianvoice.com/news/235101/osinbajo-ridiculed-united-looters-of-nigeria-at-harvard.html#

The Vice President of Nigeria Yemi Osinbajo was invited to Harvard University Divinity School to give a lecture on Boko Haram by Professor Olupono. He gave informed overview in limited time last Thursday. It was the follow-up questions that caught the writer’s attention.

Published: Sunday, October 30, 2016

What provoked his comment about United Looters of Nigeria was whether the money allocated to the military was well spent. A week earlier, former President Jonathan had defended it with arm purchased.

When someone asked about differential treatment and marginalization, the Vice President as a skillful lawyer and Senior Advocate noted that when Nigerians loot, they do it as united clique of people. You would find different ethnic and religious groups united. But as soon as they cry marginalization, it usually comes at the expense of one ethnic group inciting other members that would hardly share their loot. The whole audience roar in approval and laughter!

On his way out after the lecture, this guy kept on asking him why the Executive was attacking the Judiciary without due process or the rule of law in a democracy. Before the V.P walked closer, this writer had given the same guy a piece of his mind. He was asked if the countries that applied the rule of law and due process in a democracy granted bail to their worst offenders. If he knew that Western Democracy would kidnap, worldwide, their worst terrorist suspects!

Corruption in Nigeria is worse than terrorism many countries face. The last time we checked, Western Democracy kidnapped suspected terrorists in Europe and American without due process or the rule of law. Indeed, some of them are still in Guantanamo Bay Detention Camp. This kept the guy quiet for a while until the Vice President got closer. Since he was given all the attention he wanted during and after the lecture, there was no point arguing with him again.

The real question for the Vice President should have been why the Country waited this long, until Buhari, to deal with corrupt judges on the bench. Some of them have frustrated efforts by dedicated prosecutors to bring rogues to justice. It became easier to convict looters outside the Country than inside because some of these judges were bribed by many parties before them.

The Nigerian Bar Association know these corrupt judges that soil the reputations of people of high caliber that make up their profession. No government wants to be seen as tampering with the judiciary because of the separation of power. However, it is not a license to take kickbacks and hide under the rule of law, due process and democracy. There is no immunity for judges to commit a criminal act while in office and wrap themselves in democracy.

It can be very frustrating for a counsel to go before a judge knowing that no matter how good the case or how sharp your skill, your case would be decided by how deep the pocket of your clients are. Even more frustrating for the clients that know they are right in their pursuit of justice. This is what leaves a country poorer in morality, ethics and fairness. A country without law and order becomes a jungle without sins. Our judges must uphold the law, not subvert the law.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo came up through the legal system and as a former practitioner of law in government and private practice know a thing or two about the corrupt judges defiling their profession. We have all been in a position where we could not raise our voices in front of an oppressor, even when we know who the culprits were. By the time you become the Vice-President, your President would tap your knowledge about corruption in your profession.

Whenever a body is afflicted with metastatic cancer, nothing can save it but a radical surgery or the body dies! Nobody gives that type of cancer due process or the rule of law in a democracy. This is why the Western Democracy we inherit these rules from fight terror with everything they’ve got. If they do not, there will be no country to protect. These corrupt people have no more stake in Nigeria. Their children and close families are living and schooling abroad.

So if Nigeria breaks today, corrupt judges like their political cronies have nothing to lose. They actually have more to gain since they would have exported their foreign currencies outside. Crying bloody murder and rape of democracy would not fool those well aware of their games. It is the innocent, naïve and uninitiated that would fall for their hypocrisy.

One of the judges claimed he made his money from selling rice! Haba, even mama Fatai whose rice is enhanced with fried plantain and beans, the whole neighborhood got addicted to, never had a fraction of their money in foreign currency at home. All crooked businessmen claim they made their money from trade but never paid commensurable tax to governments reflecting their income. The Country itself is getting poorer as they bleed it dry, not richer. A kid stole from her mother. When queried, she said she wanted to go to Congress. That’s what they do!

While Osinbajo trumpeted the success of President Buhari on Boko Haram and Corruption, some of his demeanor came through watching him closely. Unlike other politicians that gave similar lecture, he was prepared, unassuming, reassuring and confident in his delivery and answers. Some undiscerning people may undermine his stature; his skill in the courtroom and among peers showed a man that was able to overcome physique with hard work and intellect.

Of course most politicians are brilliant, for someone that made his way through the system, this man still has a clean record that he can be proud of. Meeting him for the first time, without claiming to be a prophet or a palm reader, Osinbajo may have just started a long career as a Vice-President. If he keeps it up and not tempted by all the feferities and accolades that come with the staff of office, he may have the highest role to play in the future of Nigeria governance.

He happens to be another Nigerian where clean and permanent leaders still evade presentation from the Western part presently, to the rest of the Country. Osinbajo, like other conscientious Nigerians may be that leader. He is still considerably young and talented. The writer is aware of who appointed him for Buhari, but sometimes God works in a mysterious ways amazing us.

As long as he remains steadfast with Buhari in their fight against corruption, no matter whose ball is squeezed, Osinbajo has a long way to go.

No Single Ethnic Group can and will Carry Nigeria

by Farouk Martins, Omo Aresa --- A tree can not make a forest. Nigeria has to be carried by each and every Ethnic group in our Country for the sake of Africa, for the sake of blacks in this world. I pride myself as a dedicated Nigerian but sometimes I find it easier to be an African.
I must confess that I was ticked off by the recent headline that Yoruba have betrayed the Igbo AGAIN. The fact is Yoruba have never betrayed any Ethnic group, have never sought territorial advantage or dominance on others’ soil and have never craved the ambition to rule others in their domain. Indeed the Yoruba, who coalesced from many African Ethnic groups by long tradition of accommodation and tolerance, has found itself in a position of fighting to retain its own in Nigeria.

The statement Awolowo made still stands today. Yoruba can not and will not carry Nigeria alone. If the Hausa or the Fulani or the Kanuri decides to leave Nigeria today, Nigeria has lost its meaning. If the Ijaw or Ibibio or the Idoma or Urhobo decides to leave Nigeria today, Nigeria has no relevance to the world. It has to be seen as the beginning of the end. As secondary school children we cried when we were told we would need passport to cross to Biafra. How could our brothers and sisters suddenly become foreigners to us? I watch with dreaded sympathy how families are separated by wars of demarcation all over the world. Right here in the Delta and North-East between Nigeria and Cameron, families cry and protest about separation

I am sure you did not miss what attracted me to the article, it is exactly the point the Author was trying to dispel even bolded at the first paragraph:

The Nigerian war only encouraged money avenues for military/politicians and businessmen that laundered a rich country into abject poverty with Western fringe capitalism.
The Scandinavian countries and Canada remain the best countries in the world. There are more billionaires in China with a communist system we do not want or like. But China has lifted more than 100 million out of poverty.

Those that preached your self-serving extreme capitalism have brought world depression and recession each time they got too greedy. The Author gave you a reference in the article.

Back to Nigeria that was flowing with Wara and honey. Your generalization about Banana Island was too simplistic. If you do not know civilization is not limited to bricks and mortar before Banana Island or United States.

The problem is that we only bring pictures of downtown Manhattan, N.Y to show Africans. Have you been to Alabama or Mississippi? You will see raw sewage in the year 2022 and people still begging for clean water and decent housing. Even when Obama gave them free Healthcare, some of these Southern States rejected it.

Yet, they can boast of millionaires and billionaires. Nigeria may not have been perfect in every community but our villages were clean and we saw school children in clean uniforms cleaning their surroundings in the morning.

Our universities were well equipped with graduates better qualified than many foreign graduates. Even those that study abroad could not wait to get back home.

Your point about population is well taken. But remember that China was able to manage and take a whooping 100 million out of poverty.

Did I say China? Yes, they used to come to Nigeria and all over Africa as railway laborers. There were famine in China and India. They all came to Nigeria so that they could work to send money home. Otherwise they had to sell their children to eat. I do not want to remind you that Umaru Dikko said there was no poverty in Nigeria and if you want to see poverty, go to United States where people eat from garbage trash on the street, since only crazy people do that in Nigeria. What a change of fortune, eh!

Yes, compared to all these countries, Nigeria was flowing with milk and honey. Anywhere Nigerians went, from USA where Tafawa Balewa to Canada where Gowon (our problem is not money but how to spend it) were received with pageantry on red carpet. Nigerians were so respected, we need no visas. Schools and institutions regarded us as the best visitors any country could have.

Yes, that was Nigeria. So please pocket your pity if you have never witnessed a prosperous Nigeria and dirty Newcastle coal workers and Irish potato eater morning day and night all over Europe and America.

Nigeria had many firsts in Africa and Europe. Yes, Nigeria sent relief during disaster to the rest of the world including USA!

Foreign Head of State prefer Nigerian hospitals. The rest of the world prefer our Peace Keeping Force as one of the best.

African countries bragged that if they expelled Colonial experts, Nigerians would replace them. We sent judges, lawyers, doctors, teachers, nurses to replace the European and American (who be Russia, infra) technical experts in African countries.

Our Independent Fighters from Herbert Macaulay, Ikoli, Zik, Awo to Da Rocha brought Africans in Diaspora home.

Enough said because it is enough to make any African cry!

Usa & Russia In War-race As Poverty Looms At Home Like Nigeria

Apr 1, 2022 |

War is the oldest way for contractors to make money. Nobody expected a rich state as Nigeria would fall this low into poverty. It never recovered from the Civil War. The Nigerian war only encouraged money avenues for military/politicians and businessmen that laundered a rich country into abject poverty with Western fringe capitalism.

The continual invasions by the United States and Russia or the Soviet Union of different countries have backfired. Resources that should have been used to build their local poverty stricken communities are wasted in the name of big Defense Budgets to bully local protesters and small states, not each other
.

We do not wish the abject poverty of Nigeria today to be looming on any country, certainly not the USA where sanity prevails and Elections still hold; though under threats from the fringe Right. Empires that fought many wars like the United States and Russia got overburdened out of greed, the pride before a fall.

Nigeria, a potential Regional Power flowing with milk and honey just before the Nigeria/Biafra War, staggered and never recovered. Greed gripped the country and individual interest replaced the culture of Africans as our brothers' Keepers. The world, not only Americans must learn from the economic demise of old Empires and Nigeria, a great Country that could have demonstrated and saved African ingenuity and pride worldwide from shame.

Russia spent most of its resources competing with the United States in the Armed Race. Putin must not forget that Russia, under a financial weight that the Soviet Union could not carry, lost the Empire War. The United States and Russia oligarchy are repeating the same mistake while China watches them struggling like paper tigers propped up by nuclear trees. China's cheaper insidious loans, not brute force, enticed more states into its Empire.

The United States, where idealism is built for greater good, is gradually losing its position as the richest country on earth. The more countries spend on nuclear and squeeze their poor, the closer some of their communities' poverty is to Russia and once rich Nigeria. China's GDP is fast catching up to the USA. Yet, most countries are not willing to welcome China as a leader because of its dictatorship at home and foreign capitalist game outside.

It is ironic that while the repressive communist China lifted over 100 million people out of poverty in the last 10 years, the United States concentrated its wealth at the top ten percent taxed little with loopholes while increasing the poverty rate. Unlike the United States and Russia that capture countries by force or regime change, China, the richest, captures by offering cheaper loans.

North Korea is on the same Nuclear path while its people starve. Their reason for Armed Race is for deterrence so that no powerful country would threaten their choice of political economic system. Of course, this is dangerous where elections cannot remove a dictator. The Middle East with the penchant for the acquisition of Nuclear Power demonstrates this fact. Hypocrisy reigns, since the reasons against nuclear proliferation is prevention.

Prominent economists from Paul Krugman on one side to Larry Summers on the opposite side to the richest men from Warren Buffet to philanthropists had warned about excessive profit concentration within the top ten percent that had resulted in past depressions. The fear that has led to depression or recession in the past is trending the same way now.

The glorification of Greed Is Good in the steps of Ivan Boesky, Michael Milken, Jack Abramoff, Bernard Madoff, Enron etc might have been caught before it could break America. But the rest of the world including Nigerians followed. The dangers and obsession still loom larger than the wealthy class are willing to admit. Greed that led to recession in the 80s decreasing wages is back.

This benefited the wealthy that were making maximum profits by any way they could without the 80s inflation until recently.

There are injustices cleverly put in place to create income gaps after setting up the working class and the poor to fail, with obstacles and factors that impede success like unequal schools in different communities, lack of access to good paying jobs, equal opportunities and privileges. One leads to another, not unfulfilled election pledges or promises.

The notion that taxing millionaires and billionaires while closing loopholes so that they can pay minimum tax discourages job creation because the rich cannot reap from their investment has been exposed before and during covid-19 where businesses were desperate for workers to make a profit. They claim that in America, the top 5 percent, a privilege, pays 65 percent of all income tax, while most working poor pay none or little. Yet, they would not reverse the role to pay as little as the working poor that made profit for them.

The rich explain this wide gap by the exclusion of Earned Income Tax Credit, food stamps, school lunch program, public housing, Medicare and medicaid. The same programs that were cut or eliminated by the conservatives so that more money could go to them for tax cuts. Even if the working poor do not pay federal tax; they pay state, local and the same sales taxes from their meager earnings. https://whorulesamerica.ucsc.edu/power/wealth.html

This is how the wealthy blamed poverty on the poor. It is often noted that everyone regardless of age or class is free to contribute to their communities according to their skill and means. Of course there are differences. We cannot treat them equally but they must have equal access to life and health since each is worthy of respect and protection under the law.

While it will be wrong to treat or grade every student or worker the same and thereby discourage effort, perseverance and ability; these should not be used arbitrarily to discriminate based on origin, creed or color setting them up to fail. Each of us have responsibilities and obligations with rights and duties. Families, charities, religious bodies and businesses must be encouraged to contribute and pay a living wage so that the working poor do not have to depend on government welfare to subsidize their pay.

DO NOT KICK TINUBU WHEN HE IS DOWN

Please note, this writer has never been a fan of Tinubu, the conqueror of Lagos State.

We were taught at home never to kick a man when he is down. The bathroom accident some Nigerians are making a mockery of is common to all the leaders at that age. Most of them have hidden it very well. If you decided on an old over-the-hill leader, you should not be surprised. It was only a couple of years ago that a similar picture came out about a powerful world leader on the golf course. It did not make a dent.

When former President Obasanjo anointed Ebele Jonathan as Vice-President, many people opined that he knew and supported sick Yar'Adua as President so that Jonathan could take over. They were vindicated when Yar'Adua became so incapacitated, his cabinet were calling the shots for the Vice-President. Right now, apart from the obvious, the well managed sickness of the present President is only speculative.

Does it make it right that invalids should be ruling the country at great financial burden to the country for several overseas medical trips? Of course the obvious answer is no! Tinubu is well past a deserved retirement in Iragbiji to reconcile with his mother's memorial for throwing her under the bus in order to rule Lagos. Prosecute him for greed and avarice but he should not be persecuted for old age or health reasons because of weak bodily functions.

Tinubu was more obsessed with a voracious appetite for greed than making time for regular exercise in a gym as he got older. He spent the time sitting down, weakening his behind, receiving visitors begging for stomach infrastructure. He micro-managed Lagos, appointing everyone including dog-catchers to various positions. He did all these to solidify his hold on Lagos and punish those that are too independent to bend to his will.

No amount of money, hospital visits or medication can replace strengthening all muscles in our body as we get older. It must be a regular part of daily activities. Twice or thrice a week at least. Men and women with far less resources than Tinubu, like poor Oshiomole, invest in a gym wherever they live. Unfortunately, if you start too late and allow your muscles to get weak, especially around the front and back, the power-house may lose their functions.

When those muscles for bodily functions become weak, men and women younger than Tinubu pad themselves very well. It might even look like a curved butt outside their clothes. A warning to admirers of ladies' creative bootylicious pad. Most people around the age of Tinubu that have lost both bodily and sexual functions are carefully diapered. Actually, younger politicians or dignitaries on long speaking or marathon engagements pad themselves well for the occasions.

Nevertheless, young ladies that have flavor for older men are deft at identifying agile men that can still perform nimbly in bed. These men exercise very well, sometimes overdoing it by getting injured at the gym or dead on a lady. They also make time for bathroom visits before they leave home, looking for a bathroom as soon as they arrive at an occasion or after.

Young people and men that are much younger than Tinubu may suffer from high blood pressure, diabetes or acute prostatitis. These are not debilitating diseases if caught early and well managed. For example, the first choice of blood pressure medication known as water-pill may require bathroom visits more often than usual. Once you find yourself in any of these categories, you drink and eat according to the advice of your doctor and nutritionist.

Therefore, Tinibu has nobody to blame but himself. All his aides and bodyguards protected him well during the bathroom accident. Tinubu has accumulated more than enough resources from Lagos State to buy all the management of his health risks right here in Lagos. If he is afraid that his private medical history may get out, his overseas visits are more often than most people for medical check-ups. But his priority is to keep a tab on every financial tab in Lagos not exercise.

The closest of the aides around him during the accident reacted subconsciously as anyone would when smelling a nauseating odor. He covered his nose in less than a second and jumped into action to cover his boss. News media captured his natural reaction in a still picture within a second. It will be unwise to fire him for that. Indeed, it may be counter productive because he could open up other accidents the public knew little about. Hard to prevent accidental bag leaks.

Tinubu must take personal responsibility for this bathroom malfunction. When your priority is how to greedily capture most of the resources of Lagos State and plant most members of your families to corner all the incomes at the expense of your own health, blame yourself. Even a smart powerful man that uses every part of his brain for greed and avarice, may have little time left for gym and exercise that would strengthen his bodily or same sexual muscle functions.

Greed has a way of catching up with us. We were taught about greed and character when growing up with basic needs like food. Even when we were taught never to eat outside, some of us could not resist Iya Fatai's rice, two demiyan or shekesin. If you were caught, you were well disciplined by chopping cane not sugarcane. It was all about building character from basic needs. Our parents would not stop there, they call you all kinds of names defining greed as:

Ole! Omo Atojubole, mobi obe dun. Omo okele, obu odi saya. Oloju rangandanrokandan! Tinubu, see your life. Ileke ti ko ja sile, a ja sita.

AFRICANS READY TO DIE TO CREATE WEALTH FOR RICH COUNTRIES

This is about reality today not about Slave Trade in the past centuries. Africa is still bleeding, losing lives, wasting real earned incomes, exporting talents; and as usual natural resources by sacrificing this precious life. Most Africans are well aware of money laundering today and loss of natural resources yesterday. Any of these would attract jail or death sentences for drugs outside. Yet, huge foreign profits break the backs of our local miners just to survive.

Africa's most valuable talents in Sciences and Arts are being drained today to fight Covid-19 and the most dangerous jobs as frontline workers abroad. Britain, United States and Canada have temporary Visas for Healthcare workers that have no choice but specifically to be deployed to the most dangerous settings where Covid-19 has become life takers.

Doctors, nurses and health aides in hospitals, nursing homes, homecare; classroom teachers in and service workers are quitting their jobs in large numbers to preserve their precious lives. They are willing to stay home or work from home while Africans are recruited from their countries to replace them temporarily, until situations return to normalcy.

When the statistics of higher casualties in these settings started coming out of Britain, Asian Healthcare workers protested asking for more protection as if they had a choice. The same statistics are now coming out of North America. You do not expect senior workers to go to the Frontline when there are willing migrants from Africa and Asia willing to risk their lives for less money and worse working conditions these elites reject in their countries.

It is not that these talented Africans have no choice or are unemployed in their countries. Indeed, the same poor working conditions they rejected in their countries are embraced with low pay abroad. But when the low pay that cannot provide the type of comfort they dream of abroad, are converted to African devalued currencies, they see themselves as African virtual millionaires in local currencies.

This is apart from Investor Visas that encourage looted funds from poor countries to gain residence permit in rich countries. Each of these incentives to impoverish Africa is enough to kill most poor countries, a combination of all is nothing short of a death sentence to the Continent. Yet, Africans prefer temporary wages where they are debased abroad than stay on average income at home where they can make a difference.

This is why most African leaders should be incarcerated in the same Prison to cure their kleptomaniac tendencies at Robbens Island near Cape Town, South Africa. They need to be purged of their mentality to enrich foreigners, not their own people. Locking these leaders up in the same Prison will send the message as a deterrent to future leaders. They shop for the best personal goods, services and medical treatments while Africans wallow in abject poverty.

Who can believe that some African Youths do not know their Continent is the greatest creator of wealth for the richest countries? Foreigners including a former President of the United States have been told the best place to go and make money is Africa, more so in Nigeria. Africans have been told the same by those wondering why they are running away from home. It’s dirty but as long as you can hold your nose, you will make money in Africa, foreigners say.

Accomplices for any other grievous crimes in those richest countries, could have been arrested and charged for treason. This is the reason Africans are slammed for money laundering and their money forfeited if the right foreign partners and lawyers could not navigate the loot, fail or do not get their lion share. They have never benefited the future of African countries in the wealthiest countries.

Indeed, economic slavery is not different from physical slavery. If anything, loans like credit cards in the hands of prodigals are tailored to keep you paying back forever. The difference here is that the negotiators of African loans mortgage their people for life while they spend the money lavishly on themselves, families and cronies. Chinese loans for sovereignty is the latest just as Russian Ajaokuta Steel in Nigeria was one of the biggest scams of all time.

The mentality of normalizing the looting of Africa for Europeans, Americans and Asians with impunity cannot stop unless Africans get the cooperation of the people of goodwill worldwide. As the Europeans exchange gold for mirrors, the Americans took slaves for vanities and the Asians seized our infrastructure or running law enforcement in exchange for odious loans; Africans are backing into the Dark Ages.

Technology transfer has been oversold as intellectual property by those that stole the same from Egypt and Sudan when the Romans that came to learn in Africa called the Northern Europeans Barbarians. The same intellectual properties are guided and monopolized today for maximum profits. François Mitterrand said of France: “Without Africa, France will have no history in the 21st century.” Former French President, Jacques Chirac, in March 2008, put it best: “Without Africa, France will slide down into the rank of twenty-third power.”

"We drained Africa for 4 and a half centuries. Next, we plundered its raw materials. After that, we said: they (Africans) are good for nothing. In the name of religion, we destroyed their culture and now, as we have to act with elegance, we are picking their brains with scholarships. Thereupon, we are claiming that the unfortunate Africa is not in a brilliant condition, and is not making elites. Having enriched on its back, we are now lecturing".

Some African Youths still think these are fairy tales by the moonlight. They had to hear or read directly from two Presidents of France and the Prime Minister of Italy. Some of them still turned deaf ears and thumbed their noses at Africans teaching them how Europe impoverished Africa. They emulate their leaders and members of their families that behave like children in a candy store when overseas.

Where did you pull this assertion out of, your head or behind?

Support it with a reasonable study or stats.

Human killers that are more worried about vaccines than the disease. Yet they try and propagate all types of treatment.

Medicine after death.

malcom1X:
You mean of people not wanting to put an experimental vaccine in their body for a flu with a case fatality rate of 2% for those over sixty, where over 45% are asymptomatic in any age group and don't even know they have it, where the case fatality rate of those under thirty is like 0.001%?

There are people waiting for beds in the hospitals, especially in Intensive Care Units for emergency situations, elective care and other infectious diseases.

Why should those who had the opportunity but refused to get vaccinated displaced them in hospitals?

Save the lives of those who have no choice over their diseases before those who stubbornly refused vaccination and get sick.
