I know it will all turn around for good before the end of this year....
I BELIEVE...
God bless PMB Keep dreaming. The biggest difference between the western world and Nigeria is the western world at least tries to tell themselves the truth while Nigerians love to live in lala land. Your belief is part of what is holding the country down. Nigerians need to learn to face the truth about the country. The truth is the country is crap and the sooner they admit it and start to change for the better, the better they are for it. Nigeria has been digging itself into a hole for half a century and you expect to climb out of that hole in seven months? Ok. Keep believing. |

alexistaiwo: nice point bro but have seen countless teams celebrate when a player pulls a goal back after being 2-0 down. hit like if you think there is a conspiracy theory at work in this issue. share if u think there is nothing about it I wouldn't celebrate with him either. I have noticed that each time he scores, he never/hardly acknowledges the assist and who gives it to him. He just runs to the touchline pointing his fingers up like he did it all by himself. Players don't like that. Watch Neymar, Messi, and Suarez or even Madrid, and see how they acknowledge each other every time a goal is scored. In my playing days it was always courtesy to do that. |

HornyTiwa: The man made a mistake by becoming jobless. That was not the mistake. The mistake was not knowing each other enough and not talking about what each partner wants in life and how to achieve that within their marriage. A lot of couples make that mistake. If the true goals of either spouse is not defined before marriage, then they are in for a rough ride. I for one would never be in a relationship with a woman whose occupation would mean she would be a sex symbol and the object of wet dreams for other men. Heck-the-phuck-no. |

ogtavia: well d only plausible reason in this context is if werent at home....no parent in the whole wide world spends 24 hrs with their children..however..parental instincts makes parents know not to let their children out of their sight for too long.. You are right, no parent would spend 24hrs with their children but they should always know where they are at any point in time at that age. Many years ago when my boss came to Nigeria to do an inspection, he was shocked at the amount of children roaming around unsupervised. He asked me if this was normal and i could not understand what he meant. It was until years later i understood what he was talking about. By U.S standards, most parents in Nigeria would either be in jail or have their children taken away from them due to negligence. |

You only need to look at leicester and realize why Nigeria sucks at football today. They are playing the way we used to play under westerhof. The conventional 4-4-2 formation, fast attacking wingers, and every single one of them has pace. Not to mention big mutherfuckers as defenders. This is why premiership teams are confused as to how to play them. Nowadays, everyone want's to be like barcelona. Playing 6-3-2, 5-4-2 formations and all that nonsense. |

bejeiodus: I agree with you that we the people need to ask more questions. But your fixation on having political ideologies is where I would differ. Ideologies don't build roads, provide energy, put food on people's tables, etc. The average voter doesn't care whether a candidate is a Marxist, a socialist or a capitalist. All he cares about is a man who won't neglect his welfare when elected into office. Many have claimed to hold a particular ideology in the past, they came to power only to denounce their beliefs. Does the APC parade not itself as a progressive party? Tell me, I pray you, what is progressive about the party's policies since it came to power? You are mistaken. Your ideology will let me know if you, as my potential leader, is thinking the same way i am and if we think alike, we stand a better chance of working together to make the country better. In the U.S, all liberal thinkers are Democrats and all old school/conservative thinkers are Republicans. Each party has a different ideology on how to make the country better. They both mean well but their approach is totally different. Conservatives believe in bearing arms, flogging your kids, and saying no to political correctness, which they believe is the way forward for the country. The liberals are opposite of this. In Nigeria, no one knows the thought process that drives the country. The fact that the average Nigerian cares only about provisions is the reason why these provisions don't exist. You need to know that the person you are trusting to help provide these provisions is thinking along the same lines as you. What if all he cares about is looting the treasury as is the case in Nigeria? |
Politics › Re: PDP Rally In Minjibir, Kano (Photos) by banmee(m): 6:58am On May 01, 2016 |
bejeiodus: I understand you perfectly, bro. Our politics is a reflection of our development as a nation. The long years of military rule has robbed us of the opportunity to build strong virile political parties based on well articulated ideologies. All the parties we have had since independence save for the two parties that contested the 1993 presidential elections were offspring of the first republic parties. The NPC first transmuted to the NPN and later to the PDP. While the AG changed to the UPN and later to AD and then AC and ACN. The PDP was founded based on some collective principles, but like everything Nigerian, the party veered off from the lofty goals of its founding fathers. Attempts are being made to rebuild the party on those collective principles. It will be too idealistic to think all this can be done before the 2019 general elections. I don't think it would be too idealistic as you put it. It is quite simple really. It is all based on people asking questions. Questions like; "do you think government should control everything or not". All those in favor stand on one side and those against stand on the other side. That's how it begins. That's how you know who are socialist thinkers and those who are capitalist. When you make that distinction, then each divide would argue their points on how their approach is the best way for Nigerians. This is just an example though. The more questions we ask the more we know what and how our politicians think. |

Good luck to all applicants. Have this in mind. Bring your A game. The air force all over the world is an arm of the government that is very difficult to join. Their standards are higher and they treat their service men better than the rest of the arm of the military. They are somewhat like snobs. It is always a hassle to join, but if accepted, your circumstance would be much better than those in the army and navy. |

ethene: 1. In a situation where ur vehicle is non-automatic, how do u handle the gear say u are driving with gear 4 before the burst? 2. Should one put off the engine using the key during a burst? It happened to me recently. The OP is right. Don't slam on the brakes and just focus on steering but gently tap the brakes when you think you have the vehicle under control. Do not for any reason switch off the engine. You stand a high chance of locking the steering wheel. This is for both shift and automatic transmission vehicles. |

bejeiodus: Is there any Nigerian politician who abides by a political ideology? Our politics is still inchoate and this allows politicians to move about like nomads. Kwankwaso and his colleagues in the new PDP who left to join the APC did so because of the manner the presidential ticket was handed to GEJ without a primary. An act the PDP has admitted led to the party's abysmal outing in the 2015 general elections. Until we have a well developed political system and political parties with deep rooted ideologies, we must accept the fact that our politicians will continue to be mobile....If the PDP wants a quick return to Aso--Rock in 2019, Kwankwaso is the only "vehicle" that can drive them there. You seem to miss my point. Of what use is kwankwaso to Nigerians if he cannot be trusted? Shifting from party to party should be frowned upon. Nigerians are too into individuals in the parties instead of substance. What values does PDP as a whole stand for? I am not talking about manifestos. I am talking about what they believe is the social route to getting out of the predicament the country finds itself. Their ideology will determine how they think collectively which will determine if their beliefs aligns with mine. We need to start asking questions like these. Political parties in every successful country has an ideology that is public. Political parties in Nigeria have none. |
Politics › Re: PDP Rally In Minjibir, Kano (Photos) by banmee(m): 2:39am On May 01, 2016 |
bejeiodus: You are very spot on in your assertion. Kwankwaso is the only northern politician with the political clout to take on Buhari in the north. Leaders of the PDP must do their best to woo him back to the party. He is PDP's best bet for the 2019 presidential elections. If you know what's good for you, you would not support his return even if he offered to pay to come back. Shifting from one political party to another means he has no political ideology which means he cannot be trusted. |
